"An excellent way to carbo-load before the beach is a quick visit to Piazza Italian Market in Easton. This is a market and cafe with paninis and pizzas, plus a full deli and Italian specialties like fresh pastas and wines. But be warned: You may walk in for a sandwich and leave with an empty wallet and several bags filled with Italian goodies." - Tim Ebner

"Fava bean and rice soup? How good can that be?" Answer: incredible. Flavor was astonishing, beans still solid with a little crunch, and they even manage to serve it at the ideal temperature, hot but not scalding. With a side of grilled cheese, it's the perfect lunch. Everything in this place is thoughtful and personal and delicious. Highly recommended for breakfast or lunch or wine or cheese and bread. They even have the NYT and the FT!

We ate outside and all the food was delicious. This market is a gem and has so many imported foods and goods from all over the world. I got the Milano Panini and it was super tasty, tons of flavor, great spice and heat. I also got an Italian Stappi Bitter drink and it was very good with a grapefruit flavor and bitter taste. It was fun to drink and experience. The Tiramisu Gelato was really yummy as well, very creamy and rich. I highly recommend this place. A must stop if you are in Easton Maryland.

Wonderful sandwiches! We stopped for lunch and grabbed some items for a grazing board. Great selection of meats and cheeses. Will definitely be back!

I wanted some fresh mozzarella cheese, prosciutto, and bread. They a wide variety of Italian products to choose from. Before I left I had to get a prosciutto, mozzarella and arugula sandwich heated on ciabatti roll. Outstanding!!!

Great cheese board classes! Thanks for all they do.

Google
Very disappointed. Arrived 3:30 for coffee to go. Nope. Staff says “we already shut down the coffee machine for the day”. Closing time is at 4. This is not good business practice. Will not be returning.

Wife said it was my turn to cook. So off to Piazza I went. Picked up pre made chicken with lemon caper sauce and greens bean, with tiramisu for dessert. Who's the best husband? This guy!

Yelp
I can't say enough about how much I love this place. Best small business on the Eastern Shore as far as I'm concerned. Amazing selection of imported meats and cheeses, extremely knowledgeable staff. They even have a certified cheesemonger working at all times for any questions you may have. Amazing food, excellent atmosphere, and I love that I don't have to drive to annapolis or DC for all this, it's right down the road.

Yelp
I'll go 3.5 stars. Walked into this place and got really excited. I'm a sucker for legit Italian delis/markets and that's the vibe I got here. They bake their own bread, which also excited me. Then I got the sandwich. #9 mortadella, mooz and pesto. They use the soft ciabatta for their cold sandwiches and that's where I had a problem. The bread is too soft, like almost undercooked soft. No chewiness really at all. 2 slices of mortadella, a tad of mooz and a good amount of pesto. It felt like a sandwich that would have been on a kids menu. I walked by numerous tables and saw many more sandwiches. They all looked kind of small and pathetic. This place has all the potential in the world. Bake a better roll for your cold sandwiches. Italian hard roll or baguette possibly?

Yelp
Another place not to miss when we are I. Easton . Great cheeses, salty meats, olives and wine .

Yelp
I had high hopes for the food when I bought an expensive slice of fresh-made quiche. Imagine my dismay when, after one bite, I had to throw it out! It had a terrible taste! This is one of those eateries where everything looks good, but judging from this food, tastes awful!

Yelp
Quality has gone downhill a bit, especially for the price. If I pay $13 for a salad there better be enough stuff with it for a meal (toppings not just lettuce) And it would be nice if they gave you a piece of bread with the salad instead if a tiny breadsticks. Baked goods are awesome, staff a little aloof but over good spot for lunch.

Denise L.

Yelp
Great quality food. Counter help not friendly and not knowledgeable about food products. I was told a sandwich was vegetarian but had ham in it. Asked the server several times if it was vegetarian, he seamed confused but thought it was vegetarian. Will go back for the quality but will press for information.

Yelp
This place is a gem, likely the nicest Italian grocery store and deli in the mid-atlantic. We had great sandwiches and left with bags full of amazing products you just can't find anywhere outside of NYC. I am anxious to return for more!

Yelp
I'm so glad I discovered this place. They have amazing prepared meals like risotto that, given they're basically two servings, are extremely reasonable in price. I've been a tourist in Italy a couple of times and this place reminds me a little of the shops there, with a smattering of local products and so forth. Will definitely return.

Yelp
Exceptional panini - I had the Milano and really enjoyed it - super fresh bread and the Jose Andres potato chips may be the best chips I ever had. Husband had the Gorgonzola steak salad which was also very tasty - came with Italian bread sticks and salted almonds.

Tom L.

Yelp
This place is a cut well above your standard Italian deli. I had the Milano panini and MCL had a lamb meatball sandwich on ciabatta roll. Both exceeded expectations.

Yelp
Piazza just never disappoints! Whether we go for a sandwich, a salad, pre-cooked meals, pasta, wine tastings, meats, cheeses....or many other selections, the service is wonderful and the selections are delicious! This is really one of the finest markets I've been too. In addition to everything else, the people are friendly and it's always a pleasure to be in the market or outside eating lunch. I usually just say, let's go to Italy for lunch!

Elizabeth W.

Yelp
The Pignoli are fantastic. As is everything else. You name it: the panini, the cheese, the meat, the prepared dishes, etc. Staff is also very friendly and knowledgeable. They are great with custom orders and putting gift boxes together.

Carl O.

Yelp
The in house baker makes chocolate thumbprint cookies that are amazing and sure to please anyone. The pignoli ( almond paste with pine nuts) are also very good. If you are looking to try new things at the deli counter, they are happy to slice up a sample for you. Great selection of cheeses and Charcuterie.

Susan K.

Yelp
Was surprised to have come upon this place. You can pick up a reasonably priced panani (I always get the Milano) and an Italian beverage... take out or sit at one of the cafe tables. For visitors to the area, great place to pick up uncommon Italian wine, cheese, cured meat, and/or a unique foodie gift for your hostess.

Cameron C.

Yelp
Fantastic cheese shop in Easton. A welcome addition to town. Fav Panini: Mozz, prosciutto & basil The owner and staff are well educated on their products and quality of the provisions are top notch. Cheese/meats are not cheap but well priced for the quality. Samples are abundent & my favorite part about stopping in! Would love to see some cheese or pairing classes or community offerings in the future...

Yelp
We've just moved to Easton and I've been looking for a lunch place, not to mention a store to buy Italian cheeses, meats, and other things. Piazza is a great find. I love their paninis, for sure. But everything I've ordered has been exceptionally good. They use only the freshest and most authentic ingredients. Sure, you pay a little more, but it's more than worth it. My new go-to place!

Jennifer W.

Yelp
Really wonderful Italian gourmet market. A great selection of cheese, olive oils, various spices, wines, and other gourmet essentials. The high ceiling with the open eating area upstairs lends a feeling of spaciousness to the the eatery. The decor is tastefully done and the lighting lends a welcoming atmosphere. The panini and salads are prepared with high quality ingredients. I would love to see a broader selection of cold beverages but the the Peligrino sodas are very nice. The prices are very reasonable and the selection is excellent.

Stacy R.

Yelp
Went here for a small wine tasting and it seems like a neat place.

Danielle M.

Yelp
Great place to get a panini or specialty meats and cheeses. They recently added wine! The price you pay is great considering the high quality products they use for creating your yummy sandwiches. The also have prepared dinners that you can take home and heat up. I think they've added a few outdoor cafe tables for dining, so that could be a great option for a warm summer's evening. The staff is so warm and welcoming, I felt like family just talking to them. Get some samples of their awesome cheese and pick a good one to take home with you. Buon appetito!

Ron H.

Yelp
Fantastic If your idea of a great lunch is defined by the quality of the ingredients, first of which is the bread, come here - you will not be disappointed. Oh, and the cookies are fabulous too.

Ruth R.

Yelp
I ordered sandwiches and antipasti salad for a luncheon I was having for 14 people. Both the sandwiches ( three kind) and the salad were to die for. I took my own salad bowl to be used, in the day before. When I arrived the morning of the luncheon, all was ready. The staff knew who I was as soon as I walked in the door and handed me the salad in a box and explained the the salad was in the bowl in the bottom and the rest of the salad mixing were in individual container for me to add before serving as well as the salad dressing. The salad ingredients were cubed cheese, artichoke hearts peppers, cubed salami, marinated olives and the dressing was an olive oil and I believe basalmic vinegar combination. Believe me it was all DELICIOUS! I had paid by check in advance. I wil finish by saying I got many compliments on the food. One gentleman asked his wife to go get him another 1/2 sandwich because " these sandwiches are the real deal! " That says it all.

Yelp
love this place!!!! delish food...friendly staff...clean...all around best place in easton!!!

Yelp
Visiting from the Pacific Northwest and stopped here to pick up what we needed for New Year's Eve. Clearly the place to be because the line was about out the door. They had everything we needed including my son's favorite Spanish sheep cheese, Manchego. For the ride home we ordered a Milan panini. The best panini we have ever eaten and that is saying a lot from Portland panini snobs! Two kinds of salami, four kinds of cheese, champagne, chocolate, what more could we want? Thanks!

Austin R.

Yelp
Great sandwiches. Love the prosciutto. Great cheeses and olives. I always eat here after leaving great bookstore next door.

Yelp
excellent staff and delicious fine gourmet food. great place to drop in and buy something unexpected and incredibly good.

Frank N.

Yelp
wow, the panini sandwiches are astonishingly good. the cheese and meats in the deli case are not like you can find anywhere outside of NYC or Italy. this place is really good. The prepared foods are also really good, and I like the variety - I've tried a couple of different ones. My favorite is the perciatelli pasta with meatballs. Note - This is a grocery store, not a restaurant, but there is a place to eat inside.

Yelp
We just ate here and we both feel sick. My wife had pork and provolone cheese and the both were old and tasted horrible. The owner was there and never said that she was sorry for the terrible food.We will tell all of our friends to not come here. Several of our friends have had terrible experiences and have never written a review because they have busy lives. I am busy myself but could not let this go because of other times the service has sucked. I will shop for my olive oil in St Michaels MD because I always get great service there at Olivins.
