Pica South American Kitchen | Ubud

PICA — South American cuisine, Ubud 🇦🇷🇵🇪🇨🇱 Pica is a very modest, unassuming space — but don’t let that fool you. The food is spectacular. Everything is vibrant, colourful, fragrant, and full of flavour. We had the steak, which genuinely melted in the mouth, and a seafood paella-style rice packed with prawns and depth of flavour. The octopus carpaccio was beautifully done, along with a variety of vegetables prepared in true South American style — bold, fresh, and satisfying. We finished with dessert (delicious) and were pleasantly surprised by how good the wine selection was as well. This is one of those places where the focus is fully on the food — no pretence, just quality and heart. I left very satisfied and would absolutely return. If you love flavour-driven, colourful cuisine, Pica is a must in Ubud. 🌶️🍷

Octopus Bochinche was so delicious, very fresh, complex flavors, octopus was so tender and melted in my mouth. Lamb skewers were delicious too, perfect texture and sauce. Duck croquets were just okay, it was just like a regular croquette, i can’t taste the duck. Paella and Chupe were so salty for me, especially the Paella, it was so salty i had to order the milky desserts to wash the leftover saltiness on my mouth. Even when i got home the saltiness still lingers. Chupe plating was appealing but taste wise it lacks of depth, no layer of flavors nor texture. A bit pricey compared to other south american restaurant with the same quality in Ubud.

Incredibly delicious and nicely presented food. Prepared on the level of fine dining without the frills. I had the lamb skewers, broccoli, and mash. All of them were 10/10. Finished with chocolate cake which was good as well. Great attentive service as well. Highly recommend this place. I'm excited to come back and try more of the menu.

If you are looking for authentic South American cuisine in Ubud, this is the place! It was a great change of pace and nice to try something different. My wife and I really enjoyed the meal. The staff were friendly, professional, and the service was excellent. I totally recommend it!

An absolute must visit when in Ubud. You can tell each dish is made with passion and care, literally all homemade in the cozy kitchen. We largely had vegetarian dishes but also the scallops which were delicious. Goats Cheese soufflé was a winner! The Peruvian 3 milk cake (Tres Leches) was so well balanced with just a little passion fruit which made it a favourite. Every plate we had was excellent, added big bonuses were the atmosphere (excellent music) and genuinely friendly service from the team, including the smiley chefs kitchen. Whilst we didn’t have cocktails the passion fruit aguas frescas was yum. Thank you guys, will be back soon.

Easily one of my best dining experiences in years. The goat cheese soufflé was so good it could be my last-meal-on-earth choice. The squid skewer was the most perfectly cooked I’ve ever had, and the prawn pasta was unbelievably flavourful. Their Malbec paired beautifully with everything. Service was world-class, and the kitchen team clearly knows their craft. I left genuinely wondering, “What just hit me?!”

Amazing food, drinks and atmosphere, stop by! Highlights were quesadillas, vegetarian options, and dessert. Everything was so delicious. The atmosphere was intimate but energetic. Thank you for a lovely dinner.

Had a lovely dinner here. Chill ambience & playlist, delicius tender chicken with crispy potatoes and fantastic oyster. Good hospitality from service staffs! Room for improvement is the cocktail (melon sour in this case) & would be perfect
