"Have you ever had something so good that you wish you could Shazam the recipe like you would a song you can’t remember the name of? Amazing experience here at Piccini. Ordered pick up take out and left with pure satisfaction. We messed up the name of our order and they were patient and went item by item to find the real name. The staff also helped us carry it out, as well as split up our payment in many ways. Loved it here. The food on the other hand, was not even on the other hand: it was on par with the excellent customer service. I will 100% be back for the best Italian food in OCNJ.

Stopped in before the parade with my husband. This is our go-to Italian restaurant on parade night. The margarita pizza is so good with a nice thin and crisp crust. The sausage and peppers sandwich was delicious. Love how they toast the roll. The side salad was very fresh with a nice Italian dressing. Service was great as well; gave us time to decide and never felt rushed through our meal. Kept a good check on us. The prices are reasonable with the quality of food.

Piccini is a great smaller-sized restaurant. Their menu has plenty of options including a large selection of wood fired pizzas. I ended up ordering the chicken parm dinner with a salad, which I really enjoyed. The chicken parm tasted great, and I liked how the pasta noodles were more on the firm side. They weren’t shy in providing a lot of chicken in the dish. The food came out quickly, the waitress was friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I highly recommend Piccini.

We walked in it was beyond loud. They gave us a small table in the middle of all the noise. We ordered water and got the same bottled water Mcdonald’s gives you. The service was weird to say the least. My daughter ordered cheese raviolis that looked and tasted like Acme brand. I ordered some bow tie pastas dish with vodka sauce that had chicken fingers you get from a bar. I kind of tried to enjoy it until I bit into something hard and I was done after that. The bill came to 59 dollars not including tip. I’m a local and that will be the last time I go to this place. It’s a shame because I wanted to try it out and now I’m done. I didn’t want to complain because I kinda felt bad for the server and didn’t want to ruin her night. If you like cheap quality food with unnecessary high prices and a terrible dining experience by all means go to this place. If you’re from out of town then you might just deal with it good luck.

Was looking to do a century ride today to Cape May from Borgata. The rain cut it short to 80 miles. Stopped here to refuel at mile 60. Awesome pizza 👍👍. Brick oven wood fired pies in 5 minutes. I had the 8 inch red pizza pie for $9.95 similar to 2 large NYC slices. Thin crust with a drooping cheese reminiscent of Brooklyn’s best 🤩🤩. Wonderful place for pizza if you are in the area…

Google
Pizza was delicious but not memorable. The caramelized onions were sliced too thick but the prosciutto added a nice saltiness. Chicken caesar salad did not have good ratios of salad to chicken or dressing. Small indoor dining area. Very attentive and friendly waitstaff but not worth revisiting.

Google
We tried Piccini wood fired brick oven pizza on Friday night. We started with the meatballs. They were fantastic. We the. tried the Piccini special and the tomato mushroom pizzas too. Both were wonderful! Service was top notch. We had a great experience. Thanks!

Google
The pizza is just delicious. Italian Margherita was outta this world. The Tomato pie and Regular Margherita were killer too. You have to try this place!! Been coming for a few years and it never disappoints. Friendly staff, clean, delicious.

Yelp
Food always excellent here. Family friendly atmosphere. Can dine in or take out. Pizzas, pasta, calzones, salads, all really good.

Yelp
We ordered a few dishes and they were just ok. The ravioli looked like frozen ravioli you can get from the supermarket with a little sauce poured over. The shrimp pasta was decent but nothing special. We had two servers who seemed like they didn't care about being there. When asked for recommendations our waitress gave noncommittal options and did not ask if we wanted water refilled and even when asked it took a reminder to get more water. Besides the service the other thing which resulted in a low rating is due to the menu having difference prices than what we were charged. When we asked our waitress she just shrugged and said "we must of gotten an old menu." Luckily someone (I believe a supervisor) came by and when asked apologized that they menus hadn't been updated and took care of it. Piccini has potential but should look into more training for their servers and update their menus with correct pricing.

Yelp
Food was good . Service was not . Had never been there before . Went twice on a recent vacation . I thought maybe the first poor service experience was an aberration . My second experience showed me it was not . Have since read quite a few reviews over many years complaining about the same thing . Poor service . Sounds like it's from the top down . Will not return ..

Tony D.

Yelp
Just a small over priced pizza joint. My dish pasta with Escarole and white beans was $20 . It had no taste what so ever . Our group was 7 people . We went because Guy from DDD was there . He was wrong . Not worth it . But we were use to our NYC quality . I guess it on for shore food .

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch and YES they have opened back up for seating inside. However they built a wall and took half of the dining room up leaving very little seating space in what was already a tiny place. They added cheesesteaks, hoagies, fries to there long list of speciality pizzas and dinners. Started off with a side Caesar salad picture not shown. I shared the cheesesteak which was good and the cheesy bread which was okay. The rest of the table shared the sweet chicken pizza Their pizza is thin crispy which is usually crispy with different toppings, sauces abs combinations. I have to say the cheeseburger pizza is one of my favorites. It might not sound good with the idea of ketchup and mustard but it's amazing.

Laura F.

Yelp
This review is for take out only! I thought they had very efficient service for take out. We were greeted quickly and lead to a cashier. My sister and I tried the personal pizzas. There's so many to choose from! I got the Sweet Chicken and it was interesting with a mascarpone base, but I also really liked my sister's Four Cheese and Sweet Onion pizza. My Mom tried the spinach manicotti and it was just okay. The sauce was kind of plain. However my Dad was in love with the Mussels with fra diavolo sauce. It was sooooo good! Customer service was great too, and would certainly stop in here again.

Jody L.

Yelp
Delicious pizza and those caramelized onions with ham as a topping were amazing! We will definitely be back.

Chris O.

Yelp
The food was good, but it took them 40 minutes to make the taco pizza. The service was OK but at least they tried.

Paul F.

Yelp
The pizza is to die for.... I had the Buffalo Chicken personal pizza and the wife had the Margherita . Perfection! Absolute perfection! We split a large salad with blue cheese dressing. We were stuffed and quite happy when we left. The hostess at the door told us there would be a wait when we arrived. We were shown an area to sit and handed menus to peruse. The wait was less than 5 minutes. Our waitress was pleasant, professional, and an absolute joy to interact with. She answered our questions cheerfully. Everything was brought to the table in a timely fashion and with a smile! The ambiance was like a neighborhood place where everyone goes. Great food, good service, pleasant all around! What more can you say! I highly recommend eating at this gem!

Peter C.

Yelp
The food needs improving, the eggplant and pasta dish my wife got was inedible, the pizza I got was ok, better than Manco Manco for sure. Service was good & friendly but it couldn't make up for the food.

Kandy R.

Yelp
We had 3 pizzas all delish! Philly cheesesteak, taco and bacon cheeseburger definitely recommend yum. We took a day trip to check out the location after seeing it on Guys Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives. The only down side for us was was that we drove from NY to The Location and I guess due to COVID there was no inside dining. So after a long drive we ate in the car. Definitely could use a location in NY by us.

Lauren G.

Yelp
Gross. Go somewhere else. Service was so rude. The reputation they had is gone. Ordered taco salad to go & they missed the toppings. Called back to talk about it & get more food- they were so rude & didn't care they messed up! Very disrespectful, I won't be back. Find somewhere else!!!!

Debra B.

Yelp
Something was missing. Not much flavor. We had a chicken cheesesteak & cheesesteak. Pizza steak was not an option. Not much cheese. Just needed something. Not up to par with Voltacos or Pizza Express, which are both closed. Disappointing for the $27 we spent.

Yelp
1. Food: The food came out quick. Although they don't offer substitutions, they were able to change my meal from meatballs to both meatballs and sausage. However, the food came out warm but not hot. Also, they had given me penne instead of spaghetti like I had asked. Regardless, the food was surprisingly good. 2. Service: Our waiter came to our table very few times. When I was there, it was extremely busy with online and take-out orders, so this makes sense. She was nice and understanding. 3. Ambiance: The place is small and cozy, but lacks space. The actual design of the building is done for takeout and a few tables on the side. It's a nice place to eat, since it's not very crowded. What gives this review a 4/5 is the food, which tasted great. The service is also a winner here. One thing that should be noted is that this is by no means a fancy or upscale place, but it has food that tastes great and doesn't cost a lot.

Cheryl F.

Yelp
Foods good but over priced and cash only. The help could be nicer. But the food is good for fast Italian food.

David L.

Yelp
The restaurant has been converted to a takeout only joint. There is a covered outside seating area that you can consume your food, though. It gets busy by around 5:15, so come early. We ordered a 12" pepperoni pizza, spaghetti with long neck clams, a kid's spaghetti, and a garden salad. Big portions of pasta and salad. The house salad was a sweet vinaigrette. It was good but I prefer my usual balsamic vinaigrette or an oil & vinegar. Pizza was good. Not great. I guess it's known for its pizza and we got a very pedestrian version of it. I tried three or four different pizza in OCNJ during the week and it didn't distinguish itself.

B A.

Yelp
Great house salad, margarita pie might be the saltiest pie I've ever had. Tomatoes are thick (almost like stew) not good!!

Elise K.

Yelp
I got some small takeout pies and they were good, but in my opinion a little pricey for the size. Good, thick pizza. I prefer this style pizza over some other pizza places in OC. I have to try out their pasta next time!

Lynn S.

Yelp
Good salad. Dressing was super tasty and we loved the bucket idea. Pizza was just miserable. Floppy and tons of weird tomato chunks under the cheese. Very little flavor. Looked so promising, but won't go back. I'm

Yelp
Piccini's is a mixed bag. I've been going here for years and had several dishes. Their pizza is very good though it's much better dining in (thanks covid!) fresh from the brick oven. Something about the steam sitting in a box ruins it. My personal favorite is the bbq chicken sandwich. Delicious but messy. I recently tried the chicken cacciatore. Good but nothing special. My main complaint is their chicken. They must not take the time to clean them. Every chicken dish I get whether it's an entree or sandwich there's gristle I have to spit out. It really ruins the meal. Overall I would say they are good to very good. But nothing fantastic.

Dee B.

Yelp
Ordered from here on 7/4/22. Had the Sweet Chicken Pizza. It was really good. The crust was thin & crunchy and the toppings were melded well on the pizza. My only complaints were that chicken was unseasoned and they needed spread out the roasted onion since that is where a lot of the flavoring was at throughout the pizza. My husband had a BBQ chicken pizza and it was delicious. The BBQ sauce was sweet & tangy and it went really well with the cheese and chicken. With the flavor of the sauce you were able to miss the chicken being unseasoned. My brother-in-law & sister-in-law had the crab ravioli and raved about them. This is definitely a revisit when we're in OC again.

Jane D.

Yelp
Food was good, service was kind of mid. got two pizzas and the total was 60ish. went to go pay with a 100 dollar bill and they ask "do you want the change?". What do you think? of course I want my forty dollars back. other then that our waitress was good and our pizza was phenomenal. definitely try the pesto pizza if you get the chance.

Essence C.

Yelp
Little to no flavor & this is the special. Honestly my family ordered & a lot of their meals had little to no flavor the only best thing here was the cheeseburger pizza.

Peter M.

Yelp
Ordered dinner from here 2 nights after a long day on the beach. Their pizza is really good. Was surprised it was that good. Chicken parmigiana dinner was excellent also. Everyone enjoy their food from here. Ordered it again few nights later and the food was just a great the 1st night. Delivery is very quick. Was told it'd be an hour but showed up in 25 mins. Will be back for sure.

Erin R.

Yelp
Wow! The pizza here is amazing - both bbq chicken and buffalo chicken were delicious! We ordered carry out on a week night and it took about 75 minutes, so order early because I imagine they are often crowded. They are cash only and have awesome deals in the off season. Will definitely keep coming back here with my family- #1 pizza spot in ocean city in my opinion!

Michele G.

Yelp
Zero stars is more like it! Ordered delivery twice, our first order-supposed to be a dish with crab meat, among other things, NO crabmeat at all; our second order was 3 different dishes that all came with the same sauce.... Pomodoro!!!!! One was supposed to be a white sauce and the other a rose sauce. I contacted them BEFORE writing this review and they just ignored me. Never Again!!!!!

Damien K.

Yelp
Came in here while on vacation at the shore. Figured I would continue my tour of Triple D establishments. Since it looked like from the menu chicken was what was covered on the show, I would go that route. I came in when they opened for lunch. They had not received their Ciabatta delivery, so I decided on the sauteed chicken and spinach sandwich. I initially placed the order to go but decided to change it up and eat there instead. I am glad about that so I was able to enjoy the meal fresh and not struggle while driving. The chicken with the balsamic mustard dressing was great. With the spinach and onions on top overall the entire meal was easily finished. Overall very happy with the experience here.

Larry P.

Yelp
Food was fantastic but may be better to order takeout. They're always busy and you may need to wait for a table, but Betsy will take care of you. In all honesty, we had a table of 8. I recommend trying it out.

Jacqueline F.

Yelp
margherita pizza was soooooooo soggy :( the cheesy bread sticks had 0 flavor, just like the sauce they came with. my pasta was $15 for just that.... pasta and sauce. I wanted to love this place so bad but we were left unimpressed and hungry :(

J B.

Yelp
Rip off. Stop using the pandemic, hard to find help, inflation, prices of product increases, short season, etc. to bang your customers over the head. No bread with $20-$30 entrees, $30 pasta only dishes (no protein), add tips on top of pick up, etc, etc. Bland food. Never again.

Michelle R.

Yelp
Service was not what I expected, take out or patio dining only. not as friendly as they could've been. We went here because it was on diners drive-in and dives so we had the pizza which was raved about it did have a great flavor however our crust was a little soggy it could've been a little more crisp so it was just an average pie if the crust had been crisper it would've been excellent. The value of the pie was not bad at all.

Gray L.

Yelp
Amazing ravioli and meatballs. Really nice and professional. Highly recommend. Cash only

Rosemary S.

Yelp
Pepperoni pizza, large lump crab margherita pizza, bbq tenders, fries.... And when you enter for your order you have to wonder if they really know you...staff was just that pleasant. You know that disturbed feeling you get when you order wings and find out they only have tenders so disappointment and concern arise....well let me just say these tenders that they hand dip so that it feels like you are biting into a wing erases that, even the sauce was truly tasty and not just something you have to put up with just for a piece of chicken. I like pepper flakes and grated part on my pie so not sure what the crab margherita tastes like without it, but with it I had two fixes in one. Fries nice crispy hot and tasty. No complaints in this group.

Ocean City B.

Yelp
Seriously...You can do better.....Hoagies at par as WaWa. You are open year round and no credit cards? No in room dining? Come on guys!

Jim S.

Yelp
Take out place only.. cash only..food is good but would be better if I didn't have to warm it up when I got home..I miss sitting down and having a dinner served to me on something other than plastic containers.. we'll they are doing very well with just TO so I can see the inside never opening.. Joe you can go to Register 3

Naomi S.

Yelp
We went here after looking at the menu online. It looked good in the pics and menu sounded great. When we got there there was no indoor eating area. Only a small area in the outside where you could take your take out. We ordered tortellini carbonara which was pretty, garlic and oil pasta which was decent but completely soaking in oil, chicken parm which was inedible and spaghetti and meatballs which was inedible. We threw the last two entrees out. It was over $80 and just not good. The red sauce is below chef boradee and should not be served.

Ryan M.

Yelp
Very good specialty pizza pies. Their platters are good but the prices are a little high for the pasta portions with seafood. It's understood that prices are inflated in todays economy but I've been to several other restaurants in the area and felt more had better experiences. I recommend, but be ready to pay higher prices for takeout.

Linda T.

Yelp
Just discovered great pizza in Ocean City! Really enjoyed the Pesto Pizza. This is not your average pizza joint!

Alex T.

Yelp
I just had the BEST cheesesteak in Ocean City!!! I am so happy right now because while there are a couple of above average choices, no one approaches exceptional till now. Kudos to the new owners who allow ordering sandwiches at dinner time. This was not allowed with prior ownership. So while the rest of the family opted for the usual pasta and seafood choices, I decided to try the cheesesteak. First thing you notice is a good amount of meat with a good chop to it. The fried onions are barely noticeable because they are chopped well and mixed in with the meat instead of laying a pile of stringy onions on top which is prevalent at other establishments down here. The first bite told me I was going to enjoy this experience. The cheese was melted and mixed into the meat so you tasted cheese in every bite. The roll was very good and did a great job holding all that meat. Finally it was seasoned perfectly. I will be back for sure and am hoping to see that they are made consistently this way. Pickup is a breeze and they are very organized. Staff is friendly and efficient

Lily H.

Yelp
Came here completely by random and was blown away! Spent the day at the beach and needed a good meal afterwards and so lucky that we found a great place!! Ordered three different items. First the cheesy bread sticks, the portion was huge and the seasoning was great. Secondly we ordered Pasta primavera in white wine sauce, the veggies were cut small which was perfect, sauce was amazing and portion was huge!! Lastly we ordered the Sausage, broccoli rabe and white bean pasta. This was my entire and was incredible. Had so much spice and flavor, the vegetables were cooked perfectly, sausage and pasta worked well together. Took home leftovers and can't wait to enjoy tomorrow! They only offer takeout so we ate at their outside tables which were very cute. Cash only which wasn't a problem, plus they have an ATM if needed! Also the staff were so sweet and helpful!! Definitely try them out!

Deena O.

Yelp
Pizza was awful. The outside was almost burned but the middle was all doughy. I got chicken bacon ranch and the chicken was so overdone and dry that it got that nasty taste. Just awful. I don't know how this place was on diners drive ins and dives.

Lor S.

Yelp
Got takeout here this past weekend. Really good chicken parm and large portion. Carbonara was also delicious!

Michelle R.

Yelp
Hmm... I'm an out-of-towner who went here hoping to get a quality pizza. Passable, if you're just looking for a decent pie that isn't on the Boardwalk. However, I specifically asked for a good char on the crust, and ordered the FRESH buffalo margherita pie. I definitely did NOT get fresh buffalo mozzarella! Also did not have any fresh basil, nor did the crust have a good char. It needs to "crackle" when you a slight fold. Come on guys! Also, why is the crust so peppery? Very weird... not feeling it, sorry. But 5 stars to the counter girl... very pleasant and helpful.

Sal M.

Yelp
I live in town year round and The last 3 times I ordered pizza from here it was Burnt on outside and doughy on inside not to mention it's so salty I couldn't finish a 2nd slice.

Peter A.

Yelp
Food is good. Not great. Strange setup for summer. They stop you at the door, take your order, and don't allow you to sit in the restaurant. You are handed your food in paper bags and meed to eat outside. I was told in the fall you can eat inside...ok??

Mary M.

Yelp
I came here while I was on vacation in Sea Isle, NJ. We were trying to find a place near the boardwalk and noticed this place was featured on DDD. They had seating inside and outside. It was a little chilly that day and I was hoping to get a seat inside since I had my 2 kids. We waited a while. When they say you're going to wait an hr, you're going to wait an hr. It seemed like it would be faster to call in the order and eat it in the car. There were many parties that arrived after us seated before us. I just wonder if they could've pushed those tables together for us. It was 7 of us (2 were kids) but we waited... We were seated outside and luckily they turned the heaters on. We ordered our pizzas and others got pasta at the table. The mushroom pizza was a little bit of a disappointment. Maybe it should've had a white sauce instead of tomato. It overpowered the flavor of the mushrooms. The cheeseburger was what Guy Fieri came to try. This was delicious! The flavors were good and the little bits of pickles were a punch of flavor! I would love to try this place again!

Paul S.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in ocean city. Wood fired pizza is really good. Their other entrees are under appreciated. You get large portions and the food is fresh. Pizza recommendations are the potato skin, Buffalo chicken, and taco. In season prepare to wait a long time and order early by an hour or more.

Allie A.

Yelp
After a long day of walking in the heat, an impromptou self-catered happy hour and an afternoon nap left participants of this year's girly trip incapable of making any decisions. Also, some of us (me) may have already had jammies on by 6:00 PM and it looked like no one was about to volunteer to pick up food. So delivery it was. We ordered two pizzas and an impressive order of mussels in fra diavlo sauce with angel hair pasta. Both pizzas were really good, and though my friend loved her cheeseburger pizza, I found the pickle in it a bit... off-putting. A bite from that was enough for me. I did love the pizza with mushrooms and pepperoni though. The pasta was delicious, nice and spicy and plenty of mussels, though I felt the angel hair pasta itself was a bit gummy. Personally, I would have preferred a thicker pasta to hold up to the sauce. Service was fast and well under the 45 minutes they estimated for delivery.

Len S.

Yelp
Our first night in Ocean City to start the summer you have to order take out from Piccini. It's Saturday night so expect a 45 min wait to pick up your order. We always order the Antipasto salad to share. Some people might not like the anchovies or artichoke hearts I think it's a great Italian dish. For dinner you have to try the chicken farfalle with vodka sauce and the chicken parm over pasta. Both excellent take out dinners. If it's pizza you want they have wood fired ovens. We have ordered pizza in the past, tonight was pasta night. Parking is tight in the small lot. The place is usually very busy and the servers are seasonal. Inside and outside seating is available, we prefer take out. Don't forget to bring plenty of cash as they don't take credit cards they are cash only
