What a find! We were lucky to find this place and book a reservation. Note: don't try to just walk in. We watched many disappointed hopefuls get turned away because there was no space left. They handle gluten allergies very well. The hits of this meal were the beet risotto and the desserts. The cherry mousse with cherry jam as well as the mascarpone topped with cacao powder were just stellar.

Out of this world food - having been to Italy 15+ times this was one of the best meals ever. Small, boutique, and romantic restaurant with incredible food. Treat yourself to the 4 course set menu where you choose your own pasta and the rest is set. You are lucky if you can get a booking here. Amazing restaurant!! The food was incredible and the owner David is so nice and welcoming. Each dish was impeccable and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in Italy.

we had a great experience lunching here, especially because of the extraordinary service! they were fun and professional and enriched the dining experience. i had one of the best wines of my life here— a lambrusco (see image) that was fruity, hints of raspberry, absolutely delicate and delicious. my main, the balsamico braised pork was gorgeous and filling. a very smart way to use balsamico, i think. i tried my family’s dishes too and i would say the ragù is a standout, the best one i’ve had in italy. the rabbit dish was okay but the mince was a bit dry and pasta sauce not the most flavourful. the other slow-cooked meat dish, i’m sorry i forgot what it was called, was really good too! and the side salad was fresh :) the dessert was so fun, a lambrusco mousse! it was light and had a good berry flavour. recommend for those who want something sweet and simple! overall lovely! also i would advise to book a table a few days in advance as it gets busy, deservedly so :)

This place deserves a Michelin star. It is the most reasonably priced and high quality establishment I have visited in Italy. Service was impeccable. We tried to get a table without a reservation and were turned away from a lunch time spot due to them being fully booked (yes fully booked at lunch on a Tuesday in Winter) but walked past again for dinner and were lucky enough to get a cancelled reservation. We were made to feel welcome and everything was translated (without judgement) to us Aussies. The menu was full with typical Modena dishes but with a modern twist. I will remember this meal for a very long time.

Highly recommended! Delicious food and good portions. Highly recommended everything. I tried the fried gnocchis and they tasted good, at the beginning there were some rolls with cream and I can say that they were delicious. For desserts, great variety but the only thing I did not like is that there was no clarification from the beginning or on the menu that in a dessert is charged extra a glass of liquor. We only found out when paying, but it was solved. Staff very friendly and understandable!

Best deal in Modena. The food is excellent with wonderful hospitality and very reasonably priced. Reservations are a must.

Very nice environment and extremely quality food! The confection of the meal of home made and very well done. The ingredients were also fresh and good quality. Good wine options.
