It’s not the best Italian food I’ve ever had, but it’s genuinely good, especially considering how affordable it is. The wine selection is nice, and everything feels thoughtfully prepared. I actually ended up going two nights in a row—the first night was great, and I knew I could count on a second enjoyable meal the next evening. The space is very small, which adds to the charm, but if you’re going with more than two or three people, definitely make a reservation. There are only a couple of proper tables. That said, there’s a long bar where couples can usually find a seat pretty easily. Bottom Line: Piccola Toscana is a cozy, reliable Italian spot with great service, good food, and an authentic feel. Perfect for couples or small groups looking for a relaxed, satisfying meal without breaking the bank.

It’s not a typical restaurant; it had two large tables, and all the dishes were made for you at that moment. The food was incredibly delicious and of high quality. I believe places like this are rare. For food, we chose aglio e olio spaghetti, and it was perhaps the best I’ve ever had. For dessert, we chose tiramisu, and it was a dream. Congratulations to the couple for the amazing food they offer!

Wandered in for dinner. Small and quaint. Dining room was full, so we a group of 4 sat at the bar. It was wonderful. The staff, i think was the owner (bartender) was great. Funny and attentive. The food was amazing and I've been to Italy and just as good if not better then places in Rome, Pisa, Naples. Highly recommend if you want some Italian cuisine.

This place is such a hidden gem! One of a kind and not many restaurants like this exist. The restaurant is a mom and pops style place being run by the owner and his wife who cooks! You feel like you’re being served by Disney grandparents as they are so warm, inviting and make you feel like you’re in their home. The pasta is amazing! This was my second time eating here and I love their pistachio Gorgonzola. This time my partner ordered the pistachio Gorgonzola and I had the tuna spaghetti! Portions were large and amazing quality. I’ve tried to eat the lasagna but it sells out very quickly! Definitely make a reservation as the place is very small with only 2 tables and a bar.

We were craving some pasta while visiting Oberammergau and came across this place. Unfortunately, we didn’t like the food at all. Both pasta dishes lacked flavor, as if they didn’t have enough sauce or the right ingredients. We were hoping for fresh pasta and authentic Italian food! The service was okay and friendly. There are some paid parking spots available about 50 meters up. You can pay with coins or download the Parkster app to pay and track your parking, as there’s a 2-hour maximum 2hrs.

If I could give 10 stars I would. I know I tend to only review the places I love. But that shouldn’t deter you from making this a must stop when you’re in the Oberammergau or even Garmisch area! Because everything they make is homemade and anything they buy is direct from Italy. They are a wonderful Italian couple who will make you feel like you’ve been invited to their home for the most authentic experience.

One of the best places we had the pleasure of trying in Oberammergau. It’s a small, centrally located building family-owned & by far the best carbonara I’ve had in my life. The owner was extremely friendly and personable & the entire experience felt like you were eating at your grandparents house. The tiramisu was rated by TripAdvisor for best in town – and I know why! Planning my trip back just to come eat here again.

The Piccola Toscana is an amazing place with delicious food, amazing people running it and lovely atmosphere. I will make sure to return for another round.
