What a 10/10 incredible experience. Our server Erin and the rest of the team were so kind and attentive, and every dish was insanely good with such unique and deep flavors. I had the Tortelli di Patate e Fichi — handmade potato and fig tortelli — and my partner had the Pici Guanciale e Cipolla, a rich, carbonara-style pasta that was the best garlic forward version he’s had. We also shared the Branzino alla Griglia, perfectly grilled sea bass with sautéed rapini and cherry tomatoes. It was light yet rich and the bell pepper pure gave it a hint of sweetness. When a guest nearby fell and we helped, the staff surprised us with a pasta to-go and the most divine tiramisu. That kind gesture, along with the chef’s artistry and the team’s genuine warmth has made us the biggest fans. We’ll definitely be back… many times. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Great Italian food on the West Coast is hard to find, at least for me after moving back from the East Coast. This restaurant completely changed my mind about West Coast Italian fare. I love this place and will recommend it to everyone. It’s tucked away off the beaten path in Santa Monica, with excellent service and food that truly delivers. I ordered the Pici Guanciale e Cipolla, and it was the best pasta I have ever had. Worth every penny. The prices are fair, but honestly, if it cost double, I would still have finished every bite. It felt like a little Italian grandma with a fiery attitude was in the back making it just for me. After a long day on the coast, it hit the spot. Everything is fresh and made from scratch in house. I can’t wait to go back. I shared a picture of an empty plate because it was that good!

Google
I went to Piccolo for the first time and overall had a fine experience. The atmosphere is nice and the service was great—our waiters were attentive and friendly. As for the food, I had the truffle ravioli and the ribeye steak, both house specials. The ravioli was good, but the steak was just okay. I didn’t love either dish enough to come back soon. It’s a decent spot, but not one I feel the need to revisit anytime soon.

Google
Piccolo Café is a charming little Italian spot in Santa Monica . I came here on a whim and was blown away by the quality of the food. I had their truffle pasta, and the flavor was incredible—perfectly creamy and not overwhelming. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable for the quality. The staff is warm and attentive, and the cozy atmosphere makes it perfect for a date night or a quiet meal

Google
Piccolo is one of the best restaurants on Lincoln for its delicious food, exquisite wines, and above-and-beyond friendly staff. The grilled octopus, grilled calamari, and linguini mare with the black in linguine are must-order dishes, and you really can’t go wrong with any of the wines. Kelsey is the best manager and always makes sure things go smoothly. The bartender is also brilliant and all of his cocktails are amazing. They have both romantic indoor and outdoor seating, and I always leave with a smile on my face.

Google
One of my all time favorite haunts on the west side of LA for all around great food and vibes. Service is always excellent because they are such a neighborhood spot (lots of repeat customers which is always a great sign). And bonus for anyone that is gluten free - they make their own handmade gf pasta that made the gluten intolerant eaters in our party BEYOND happy. Thank you for always being so lovely piccolo team!

Google
Our dinner for four started promptly and on the right note. The hostess was friendly and gave us seating choices ,we sat inside. The high table was just the right height and the leather padded chairs were comfortable inside the noise level was perfect to have a normal conversation. we listened to specials from our multi talented waiters that was working the bar as well. the wine choices are vast and contain important Italian classics. We went with a Valpollachella wine which was amazing Appetizers were gorgeous and delicious. Beet carpaccio de Oro with Burrata , Jamon with red wine reduced pears with Burrata and radiccio mix, ricotta stuffed agnolotti with butter reduction and summer truffles shaved on top. That was a dream in a dish! For main course we had veal scaloppini ,very tender over mashed potatoes , and the New York Strip steak with peppercorn sauce !Absolutely perfect! For the end of our meal we ordered a small chocolate mouse tart over a crunchy hazelnut cooky . The dinner was amazing, and I would recommend you visiting Piccolo for a memorable dinner as a date or going with friends.

Google
Lovely place with a nice outside, we eat grilled calamari, pasta melanzane and tiramisù. Everything was delicious, the pasta was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Very recommended.

Yelp
From start to finish, everything was phenomenal. The grilled calamari was the best I've ever had. The squid ink pasta, tagliatelle, truffle tortelli, and ribeye were all perfection beautifully cooked and incredibly flavorful. Desserts were equally impressive: the panna cotta, tronchetto, and tiramisu were all very good. The outdoor dining area has great ambience, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Service was excellent ,attentive, friendly, and professional. A truly exceptional meal all around!

Yelp
Found Piccolo here, on Yelp, and wandered over for dinner. A fortuitous find. Service was great, food was great (and fairly priced), cocktails were great, mood was great (that back patio is entirely charming). We stayed a long while and enjoyed every minute of it. Three minor criticisms: The two-tops are far too small to comfortably fit drinks, waters, plates, bread. Speaking of bread, an Italian restaurant that charges for a basket of bread? C'mon! Lastly, the ambience was slightly ruined by the two large-ish dogs on long leashes at the next table who did a lot of jumping / wandering and tripped the waiter several times. I am a dog lover / owner but there is no need for this at a nice, higher end spot on a Saturday night.

Yelp
Piccolo is a sweet neighborhood restaurant without the overwhelming need to be trendy. It is real; with authentic homemade pastas, delicious cocktails and an intimate setting. Come here for a first date, with your gal pals, or bring the grandparents (you can hear at this restaurant). My favs are the branzino and fig pasta. Friendly staff and neighborhood vibe. Come on in.

Yelp

Yelp
The unassuming front at the corner of the busy Lincoln Blvd and a small residential street, Pacifica, this eatery, like its name, may seem small, but the warm hospitality of their staff and the idyllic backyard patio transported our dining experience to the origins of its cuisine... somewhere in the Mediterranean! We came to celebrate an event and got a nice large table at the back of their patio- a beautiful yard with passion fruit vines on trellis. It's small but cozy. Our waiter was attentive and charming with a sweet Italian accent. He recommended many things and they were mostly good; though my favorite is the Linguini Mare e Monti - the succulent shrimp and the al dente black ink pasta were a great combination! Oh, we also ordered a few Capesante Pancetta e Scarole - their scallop appetizers but they were gone before I could snap a photo. Our waiter also recommended a lovely new wine from Sicily to go with the food. Portions were not big but prices were reasonable for the quality of food. The ambiance made the experience worth the money!

Yelp
Came here for DineLA and we had a reservation for 7:30pm on a Saturday. Was able to find parking in the alley in the back of the restaurant. There's only about 2 regular spots and 2 handicapped ones. Otherwise, you will need to find parking on the street. Walked in and there's inside and outside seating available. We chose to sit outside and it was warm with heaters on. The restaurant is pretty loud when crowded, so you might need to speak up. When asked, make sure you tell the buser that you want tap water. He's going to ask if you want carbonated or flat. Those come with an up-charge. so tell him you want tap. Unless you want to pay $7 for bottled water. Not everyone has to order from the DineLA menu if they don't want to. I decided to go with that option and ordered the octopus appetizer to start, Pici Guanciale for my main and tiramisu. My wife ordered from the regular menu and opted for the daily special which was the black ink pasta with lobster for $45 (I think??). We also ordered the prosciutto with burrata. We initially ordered the bread basket ($4), but that never came and we were not charged for it. So I can't comment on it but I did overhear one of the other tables mentioned how good they were. The cocktails were reasonably priced and were just ok. Our food came out at a pretty good pace. But the poor couple sitting next to us waited a good 20-25 minutes after they placed their order for the appetizer to even come out. But the server was good enough to comp them the burrata. Not sure, but the octopus we got was pretty small compared to the other tables. I don't know if it's because I ordered from the DineLA menu and it's smaller portions or not. Either way, it was a little dry and tough. It did have good char flavor though. Just wished the portions were a bit bigger. The Pici pasta was really good, but again, the portion size was pretty small. Don't come here hungry because you will leave hungry. Good thing there's a Chick Fil-A right across the street. The prosciutto with burrata was pretty good and they gave you a good amount of prosciutto with it. My wife's black ink pasta was bland, though a little bit more than my pasta dish. The tiramisu is homemade and you can tell. It was soft, airy and pretty good. Overall, I would not come back here because there was really nothing here that wowed me. Their service was just ok and definitely understaffed. It was hard trying to flag down our server. Pricewise, it wasn't too bad, but again, if you order the pasta, you will leave hungry.

Yelp
We had a large group reservation (8 people), and though the restaurant is not very large, they fit us in decently comfortably. Bread is not free, which is noted at the bottom of the menu, so just make sure you're aware, because our server initiated bringing it to us without us requesting. Portion sizes were not as big as I thought they might be, but they were still satisfying. I'm a big pasta fan so I'd say I could've probably eaten more and generally expect to be super full at the end of a pasta dinner. I tried the pici with eggplant and tomatoes, which was quite tasty. The eggplant in particular was delicious. My boyfriend got the orrecchiette which came with spinach and was also pretty good. Nothing particularly wowed me to be honest, but the food was still tasty and our party enjoyed the dinner. The tiramisu honestly didn't really taste like most tiramisu I've had in the past; the espresso flavor was almost nonexistent, and the moistness of the cake reminded me more of tres leches. It was still good, just not what I expected. One minor complaint we had was that at the end, our bread basket was taken away with still a couple pieces left. We had affirmed having our empty pasta plates cleared but the waitstaff was very quick to remove the bread before we could object. It's a small thing, but seeing as they charge per basket, this was pretty disappointing.

Yelp
Cute little spot in Venice The Pici alla Pancetta e Cipolle was delicious. A little on the rich side but very tasty.

Yelp
Great food and service. I also thought the prices where very fair for the quality of food. I will definately go back next time I'm in town.

Yelp
We had a great dinner in the patio on Friday night. We shared one of the most delicious salads with parmesan and pine nuts. My partner had the halibut that was cooker perfectly on a bed of purple sweet potatoes mash and I had the scallops which were moist and delicious. Our friends had one of the pastas that and she said it was one of the best pasta dishes she had ever had. The setting is lovely and the staff very helpful and friendly. Can't wait to go back and try more of the dishes they offer.
google avatar

Rashi B.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night for dinner with my boyfriend. It was one of the Fridays during the LA fires, so understandably it was quite empty. But, that probably made our experience better not being too loud around us. The food was good - I would not say great, but it was pretty good. I ordered the spicy pasta and my partner ordered a fish dish. The food was decent - maybe we have to come back and try more things. The cocktails were strong and flavorful. I do like the location, but iffy with parking. I do recommend this as the it spot. :)
google avatar

Jenny Y.

Yelp
Food was OK mainly because two of our dishes were too salty. We ordered Jamon Barrata salad, polipo ala griglia salad, 3 pastas- pici pancetta e cipolla, linguine mare e monti, orecciette salsiccia e cime di rapa. Only the squid ink pasta was good. Service by Ernesto was excellent and would want to go back to restaurant for his service. Ambiance was also very good for outdoor seating. We were there at 5:30 when they opened. It was empty of course when we got seated but by the time we left around 7, outdoor seating was completely full.

Yelp
From out of town. Second time here and wanted to return due to our previous good experience. Being a holiday weekend place was virtually empty. We were the only occupied table inside. Very warm and friendly staff. Bruschetta appetizer was good, not great. Seafood pasta special was very well prepared and generous with the variety of seafood. The big disappointment was the black cod special. Not sure what was going on with the cod (old? previously frozen? not black cod?) but the texture was mushy with no crust, just a bad piece of fish. I should've sent it back which I never do. For $48 this was such a negative. Doubt we'll be back.

Yelp
Pictured is the Aperol spritz and the tortellini patate e fichi (potato & fig tortelli with parmesan fondue, brown butter & sage). Both the pasta and the Aperol spritz were great. The service was also great. The reason I'm only giving three stars is because there were a ton of ants and flies crawling next to me on the wall and our table, which was very upsetting for me!

Laurie B.

Yelp
The food is beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! Grilled calamari appetizer and the watercress salad (with avocado, pine nuts, hearts of palm...) are what bring me here. My daughter started with a yellow beet carpaccio salad that she loved, and again it looked beautiful. She also had a very delicious (and pretty!) passion fruit margarita from their drink menu. With the capable staff, wonderful food and drink, you'll be surprised by the reasonable prices. The outside patio is charming with the passion fruit vines and fruit covering the lattice overhead. We frequented the now closed Abbot Kinney location and are happy to have found this location to be so charming and everything presented with care. Thank you SM Piccolo!

Yelp
Mixed feelings about this place but I'd definitely say that their pastas saved this experience. We got seated within 5-10 minutes at 8 pm on a Saturday night, which was really nice considering it looked like a very fancy dress up kind of place. The outdoor seating wasn't too cold or noisy thanks to high fences and heaters. We ordered the Insalata di Cresciono which wasn't really for me but others in my party really enjoyed. We also got the bread, which we didn't get until we reminded them. The bread then came burnt. The Orecchiette was about a 7/10, the specialty ravioli of the night was a 9/10 and the Pici Pancetta was a 8/10. While in general it was a nice experience, I would say I kept getting the feeling we were not paid as much attention to compared to other guests. Maybe because we weren't dressed up or because we were one of the only non-white people in the restaurant?

Yelp
Such a romantic ambiance with authentic Italian food that is elegant and sophisticated. The service is relaxed and personable and the prices are very reasonable. We go here for all special occasions.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious dinner with an intimate and warm ambience. Firstly, I was set out to find pici pasta in LA after having it for the first time in Italy. This place exceeded expectations - it took me right back to feeling like I was eating dinner in the Tuscan countryside. Flavors were delicious from the appetizers to the pastas. My favorite of course being the pici pasta dish. We of course had to top it off with some desserts (not one, not two, but 3!) all of which were amazing with one standing out - the tronchetto. Get it - thank me later - youre welcome.

Yelp
since my neighbor and i could literally walk to piccolo from the beach, i was excited when my financial advisor gave me a gift certificate to dine there. a have a few friends who've been there and love it, but we had never tried it. i guess my first mistake was telling the waiter/host up front that we had never been here before, even though we live in the area, and that i had the gift certificate. it was what inspired us to eat at this restaurant. it was downhill from there. i'm not sure if this man could have been more condescending than he was during our whole meal..but he'd have to make a effort at that. i showed him the gift certificate and the email it came in, twice as he wanted to copy down the number. no problem. the outside garden is lovely and we were pleased to be seated there. however, immediately after we were seated, he insisted on rattling off the specials when we'd only just sat down. we ordered drinks (okay..nothing special) and bread (warm, but definitely at least a day old, i guess the regulars get the fresh bread). when it came to ordering dinner, we were both pretty taken aback at how insistent this man was about what we should order. he kept pushing the filet mignon or the lamb, but we had come for the pasta. i had the potato and fig tortelli and my friend had the spinach and ricotta gnocchi. both of those dishes were excellent, and the only reason i'd consider coming back to piccolo. there was a limited choice for dessert, since i don't happen to like chocolate and have eaten enough tiramisus to last a lifetime. i had the crema capovolta and my friend had the panna cotta. spare yourself the crema capovolta which could have been jello pudding for all of it's unique taste. the panna cotta was definitely better but also nothing to write home about. we both felt the prices were fair and what we're used to paying for a dinner out. now came the big problem. we were ready to leave and it probably took 15-20 minutes to get the check. they were busy, i understand that. but it's a very small area in that outdoor garden and the waiter saw me try to signal him at least 3-4 times but ignored me. you'd think he'd want to have the table free. finally, i had to go up to him as he was walking away and ask him to please bring the check. when he did he hadn't taken off the amount of the gift certificate from the total, and he insisted i hadn't shown it to him. of course i showed it to him again and they corrected the total. this man left such a bad taste in both of our mouths. we can walk to god knows how many restaurants in our neighborhood and.. since a group of us eat out often...this might have been one of them. instead, i would avoid piccolo and advise others to do so.

Yelp
The lamb and pasta was excellent. Everything from the appetizers to the main course was phenomenal. I highly recommend this restaurant, and it's one of my favorite Italian places on the west side.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went for our late valentine dinner and it's a 10/10! The food was amazing, the drinks were top tier, and the desert was the icing in on the cake. Super delicious. The service was just as good as the food. Everyone was super friendly and the food came out nice and hot. If the food didn't bring us back the service would! The ambiance is nice and intimate, perfect for Valentine Day. Can't wait to go back

Yelp
The pasta and service were amazing. No dish was mediocre everything was top notch and we would definitely go there again when we visit LA in the future

Louise W.

Yelp
I made a reservation for a party of 3. 3 stars are given to the food because food was good but host was bad. I feel being discriminated because the host kept chatting with different groups of guests while ignoring me at the host's desk for at least 10 minutes. He did notice me but just decided to ignore me. I had to ask a waiter for help to finally get seated.

Yelp
"Pros: beautiful, serene ambience under passion fruit vines and awnings and great service. Cons: pricey for the quantity of food. My friend and I had the brunch specials. She was disappointed that her "fluffy"ricotta pancakes were slightly larger than the size of coasters, not huge and fluffy like she was accustomed to. I had the omelette which was good, but could've been plumper and bigger. The omelette was accompanied by a nice, small salad. Each dish was $17, with tax and tip over $20. Also had the delicious tronchetto for dessert $13. Overall good, but would like to see bigger meals to be commensurate with the price or better yet, reduce the prices to match the quantity of food. There was an extra 3% surcharge for the kitchen staff which was reflected in the meal prices bc it wasn't shown as a separate charge.

Mike G.

Yelp
Went several times to the original and tried this place once or twice. Used to be exceptional at the original location on Dudley. Now, it is basically solid. A quality place for Italian, but not at the level of Felix or Funke. I would choose Bestia above it as well.
google avatar

Alan G.

Yelp
Xlnt sincere service and food. Selection is small but chef is happy to customize dishes. Nice clientele, good vibe. Only drawback is the small and crowded dining room.
google avatar

Ayoosh K.

Yelp
It's a small but lovely place in SaMo with outdoor patio. Carlos was an excellent server, knew his menu well. Food was delicious, but the fish could have used little more lemon capers. Their drinks were good. One neat thing about the menu is for $35 they offer a happy hour menu each evening with smaller portion of an appetizer, main and a drink.

Yelp
I came here with my friends after graduation. I did have a reservation and I told them we were running a bit late, but no problems!! Reservations were also super easy and quick to make through Yelp, I made them like a couple days prior to my actual dinner date. Parking was a bit of a hassle because we had to street park in the communities behind the restaurant, but it all worked out. The pastas we got were amazing, but my favorite would have to be pici alla!!! It was delicious. Service was fast, and there's indoors and outdoor seating.

Alex

Yelp
Consistently great and unique food and a menu that updates on a regular basis. At our last visit the tortelli and sea bass appetizer special were incredible. Great service every time and a very nice patio as well

Yelp
Last night was my second time having dinner at Piccolo and had another great experience. The friendly and attentiveness of the staff, food, and ambience was all perfect. I usually like to sit side by side with my Gf, the waiter noticed this and was nice enough to combine two smaller tables for us to enjoy our dinner more comfortably. We ordered the Pici Malazane and Pici Guanciale Cipolla, the pasta dishes were so delicious and perfectly Al dente, truly some of the best we've had around LA. Lastly, the patio was dark, cozy, and the perfect setting for a romantic date night. The people here at Piccolo really know how to do things right creating the perfect ambience and offering amazing quality food. We can't wait to come back again soon!

Yelp
Popped over here with my coworker since we are staying around the corner from here for a conference. The food at the conference leaves something to be desired, so we had a few options and chose this one as we walked by a few others. Very happy we stopped here! My coworker had never had burrata before, and they offered one with Serrano ham, red wine poached pears, arugula and onions with honey and balsamic. Spectacular presentation and we had some fresh baked bread to enjoy the dish with. Just enough to share. For his first time having burrata it was a good dish! For entrees we both got the same thing, the pica pasta with pancetta, onions, and cheese fondue sauce. It's the perfect amount of pasta for such a rich dish. Don't get me wrong, I'd have inhaled two of these dishes but this size was literally perfect for dinner without being overstuffed, or wanting more. We asked for more bread so we could eat the sauce leftover on the plate with the onions and pancetta. This was a great spot, we came early so no issues with eating inside at a high top. But I can tell that people would definitely eat outside on the back or side patio. Our server Ernesto made some good recommendations and we enjoyed our meal. We debated coming back tomorrow it was so good even though the conference feeds us lol. Support small businesses! Thank you Piccolo!

Edward R.

Yelp
A lovely Italian restaurant with a beautiful back open air patio. Full bar and a very nice wine list. Service was very good. My wife have the fish pasta special which was good, but not great...the sauce lacked flavor and character. I had the fish special, cod I think, very good . I feel the price well over $200 was quite a bit more than the quality and quantity demanded. We didn't even buy a bottle of wine. It was a nice evening, but I don't think we'd go back
google avatar

Yelp
Their pasta is hand made and their dishes are AMAZING!!!! I had the tortelli stuffed with fig in a butter sage sauce. Phenomenal!!!! The portions seem small but because the dishes were so rich, we eventually felt full and satisfied . Service was great!!! Food even better!!! Will definitely go back soon!

Yelp
Amazing restaurant. Back patio is so beautiful and the food was amazing. Service was spectacular. Highly recommend this place for a date night or with friends or even family!

Yelp
I have never been to a place where all of our table couldn't decide which dish they liked best. Each pasta was so unique yet so delicious and the plates are fully cleaned at the end of the meal. I don't remember what each pasta was called, but based on our experience, it looks like you can't go wrong with any pasta orders. The pear burrata dish was interesting and yummy but I wasn't able to fully experience it since it was quite small and split with a group. Drinks are good but I wasn't blown away by anything, will probably try other ones next time. Parking isn't horrible, we parked in residential areas behind the restaurant. The restaurant is super accommodating and fit my party in last minute. Would come again!

Yelp
Best Italian food I've had in a long time. Authentic, flavorful, and full of love are some of the adjectives that come to mind. Food: 5/5. Impeccable! Our appetizer was the Jamon Serrano con Pere e Burrata, and it was perfectly balanced and was a light refreshing start to our meal. We got the linguini mare and Pici Alla Pancetta and both pasta dishes were perfectly cooked and seasoned. We both loved the Pici Alla Pancetta more as we liked how creamy and indulgent it was, but the Linguini was also very delicious. The prawns that come with it were fresh and juicy. Dessert was also bomb! Service: 5/5. Warm, friendly, helpful, and non intrusive. A five star dining experience. The moody ambience and warm service is the perfect date night spot. We will definitely be returning often!

Yelp
Walking through the door you reach a very centrally positioned host podium, and a short well-stocked bar that hides a few steps behind it. There is a sprinkle of tables in the front room, a long hallway and a few more in the back. My favorite spot where I've sat all 3-4 visits is at the bar, but it's so tiny that it barely fits 4-5 people. But it is full service, and with immediate access to cocktails, which is a perk that cannot be ignored. The energy of the place if very mellow and casual, and feels more traditional Italian than some more contemporary restaurants like Jon & Vinny for example. The cocktails are pretty amazing - including Piccolo's specials and classics. They can spin out espresso martinis, vespers, manhattans and more - all tasting very impeccably at the end. The range of appetizers - carpaccio, calamari (don't assume breaded and fried), octopus are all fine, though I would say the octopus is my least favorite. Where they truly shine with food is the mains - absolutely outstanding short ribs, fun and clean veal milanese, massively underrated scallops (that I often remember as a baseline when ordering at other places), and all the fresh pastas.. Overall, I find the food to be authentic from many directions, and to deliver what you would be seeking from an Italian restaurant. Cannot say more about the greatness of Piccolo - it's casual, easy, cozy, and you feel more than welcome. I've enjoyed drinks while chatting with the bartenders, the owners, and it always felt like I was hanging out at someone's house. Quite lovely, and recommended.

Yelp
Been here multiple times now and have never been let down. The food, the service, the ambience is all so lovely. Recently brought my big family (18 person party) here to celebrate my graduation and everyone was blown away with every dish and how charismatic and friendly all the staff were. I always look forward to what's new on the menu. I love Piccolo!

Yelp
Amazing food and service. We had the halibut and the filet mignon perfectly cooked. Their tiramisu was heavenly. Service was friendly. We stayed until late chatting afterwards. Very international clientele. Great background music and ambient lighting. I felt I was in a restaurant in Europe.

Yelp
We had dinner with a large group of friends. It was a great night! Everything was perfect, starting from the food, the service, the wine selection, and the ambiance. The restaurant organized a very nice and large table in the outdoor patio. The space is very cute, and the patio is private and perfect for us to enjoy the evening. We had a selection of starters and pastas. The calamari were cooked to perfection and very fresh and tasty. We also had bruschetta and burrata salad, but the calamari were my favorite. Then we had a taste of gnocchi, orecchiette and pici with different souces. Everything was good but the pici and the orecchiette exceptional. We had a taste of several desserts, Tiramisu was probably my favorite. Our server was really attentive but discrete and gave us great food and wine suggestions. The chef came to greet us and only then I realized it was chef Mure! I will definitely be back with small and large groups.

Yelp

Yelp
Tried this restaurant last night with a friend. Piccolo has a lovely ambiance. Candles (Actual candles. Not the electronic flickering things so many places have adopted) at the tables, soft lighting, and a welcoming atmosphere. It felt like dinner at a good friend's home. We weren't dressed to the nines by any means as this was a spur of the moment decision for dinner. Although, this would be an excellent date night spot. It was a rather cold, rainy night so we were seated inside. All of the staff were incredibly attentive and seemed to enjoy working there. We began our meal with drinks, a Paper Plane and a rye Old Fashion for me which were superb, well balanced libations. Pici Alla Pancetta E Cipolle was my companions choice while I ordered the Orecchiette Con Salsiccia E Cime Di Rapa. The plates were excellent in presentation, flavor, and texture. We ended our meal with another round of the well crafted drinks we began our meal with. The chef even checked with us to ensure we were enjoying our meal. It's been quite a while since I've received that level of service and Piccolo will certainly be at the top of my list the next time Italian cravings arise. Go there. Eat. Be happy.

Yelp
Piccolo is an extraordinary dining experience thanks to the impeccable service (Luis and Ernesto always go above and beyond and are honestly amazing). The exquisite dishes (spicy squid pasta is out of this world) and the beautiful ambience with the gorgeously curated outdoor patio are top notch. This is a wonderful, hidden gem, conveniently located with ample private and street parking in central Santa Monica.
