"Situated opposite the Praça Nossa Senhora da Paz, this restaurant boasts an Italian-style decor with colourful chairs and tables and windows inscribed with items from the menu. The original menu, overseen by renowned chef Elia Schramm, combines classic Italian recipes and Brazilian ingredients, resulting in a host of generous dishes which are full of flavour. Artists’ photos adorn the walls, while jazz music plays gently in the background." - Michelin Inspector

I walked-in with no reservation. Had to wait for about 45 minutes. The food overall was fantastic, however some of the dishes took too long and came cold. In my opinion the gnocchis were bland but there is nice ambiance and the prices were reasonable.

I think this is probably the best restaurant I’ve been to in Rio (I went to one of the Michelin one star restaurants too, and this place was better). The service was great and fast, the food was delicious and compared to the quality, not too expensive. I will definitely come back when I’m back in Rio…

- Great service, the staff extremely professional, and detailed. - The menu doesn’t fail at all, and the dishes AMAZING! I recommend what we ordered, the bruschetta as entree, and then the milanesa with spaghetti and the gnocchi. The menu says gnocchi al pesto, however, that night they didn’t have any pesto left so they offered me to do it with Pomodoro sauce and it tasted delicious. Tiramisu as dessert, amazing. Jazz music great vibe great food, would love to go again!

I was really looking forward to some Italian food , and this showed up in the Michelin guide as a Bib Gourmand. I really try to not write too many poor reviews but I would rather help people avoid wasting their money or in my case wasting my appetite during my limited time in Rio, I can only eat so many meals and when I have a bad one it's such a waste. The food was really not good and I'm not sure if any of the chefs are actually familiar with Italian food or just making things up. Having recently been to Rome this food is so far off the mark its not even funny. I ordered the suppli and they were the wrong shape, the cheese inside wasn't melted , and the sauce was super acidic and they had a runnier consistency than they should have. I didn't finish them. I also ordered the Amatriciana. A classic Roman pasta with very simple ingredients, pasta, a simple tomato sauce, guanciale, pecorino and black pepper. I understand it may be harder to get some of the correct ingredients in Brazil but again this tasted so different than the real thing, and not good. The tomato sauce was again super acidic and sour. The guianciale (or bacon) was cut super small and you didn't get the delicate flavour or the pork fat or black pepper in the dish, just an overwhelming flavour of bad tomato sauce . I took three bites and couldn't eat anymore . I'm fine to pay the full bill , there was no deduction from the bill, the staff seemed almost used to it. The service was friendly and the room looked nice , but the food was unfortunately awful .

I came here for dinner on a Monday ~ 5PM. It was not packed at all. The service was great and ordering was a breeze. I ordered a cosmopolitan, which was pretty good! The cacio e Pepe’s presentation took me aback a bit. The pasta was served on top, and wasn’t actually mixed in. It was still good, but nothing spectacular. The tiramisu was very good! Best part of the meal.

Google
Service and quality and big smiles. Drinks are made with no delay and they did not hesitate to let me book a table for 1 person. That was great. This hidden gem is a must to try.

Visited in June 2024 Brazil. Rio de Janeiro. I found this restaurant through Google reviews and it was packed when we arrived, which made me feel good about the food, but there were a few things that weren't quite right. Food: We ordered an appetizer and two main dishes. For the appetizer, we had ham croquettes. We've tried a lot of croquettes in Brazil, and these seemed too starchy. You could barely taste the ham in the filling, it was mostly potato. They were very heavy. The main course was ravioli with braised meat and gravy. It had a very rich flavor, but I thought it was too salty. The pasta itself was cooked well, nice and elastic, good color, you could tell they added egg yolk. It was a decent dish, but like the grilled octopus with potato and onion, it had some flaws. The octopus was a little tough, especially the top part, but the sides went well with the protein. The potato was nice and crispy and well seasoned. Service: The service was good. Even though we spoke English, the waiters were always trying to help and would explain things with a translator if needed. However, the service seemed a bit slow, but it was packed so that wasn't a dealbreaker. Overall: It’s a decent restaurant for a casual lunch or dinner with coworkers or friends. However, there are so many amazing restaurants in Leblon that this one felt a little underwhelming.

Google
Just OK… I’ve been a few times and it has been inconsistent. Today, unfortunately, I had a bad experience. I sat at the bar and ordered my food and beverage immediately. Took the bartender 20 minutes to get my water. Then my entree came out. The gnocchi was good but the mostly cold. The bread I ordered arrived after I finished the gnocchi. AND it came with buratta and tomato (not what I ordered, but was charged for it). There are better restaurants in Rio

Yelp
Excellent Italian trattoria in the heart of Ipanema. Casual but classy restaurant with reference to music greats. Had a great rigatoni amitriciana, house served garlic bread, and a solid Argentine Cabernet. Total bill, including tip, came to a reasonable $28 US (as of this writing). Pici has received Michelin recognition in the past--deservedly so I would add. Muito bom!

Yelp
Michelin rated Pici sticks to Italian classics with some Brasílian twists. We tried the burrata, rich creamy and surrounded by fresh and sweet cherry tomatoes. For mains, opted for carbonara and fruti di mare. Both were great

Yelp
Very charming restaurant. Amazing Ambiance and one of the best services that I have experienced in Rio. Ok Short menu but with options for any taste. I am a vegetarian and I was able to find dishes for all courses. The food was delicious. I will be back and recommend it to my friend's.

Yelp
I know that I'm doing a review of an Italian restaurant in Brazil so that alone makes it a little difficult to achieve more than an average rating. The food was pretty good but just a little over sauced.

Yelp
One of the best Italian dinners ever. Prices are not incredibly high. Excellent pastas, meats, bruschettas, atmosphere. English is not super easy here

Chee M.

Yelp
Food was okay and the price is on the higher end. Service was good. However, they only speak Portuguese and if you don't speak that language, bring Google translate.

Dennis E.

Yelp
The atmosphere here is very great and there are many locals visiting this place. So during the weekend it could make sense to reservate. They have an English menu but be prepared that you need some Portuguese basics to talk to the waiters. The food is very good and the prices are fair. The wines are good and the bartenders definitely know their job. So all in all a good place to eat Italian style food in Ipanema!
