London's Cheese Conveyor Belt Restaurant Serves 25 Different Cheeses - AFAR

"A conveyor-belt cheese bar launched as the second site from the team behind a popular Camden outfit, built around a 100-foot belt that carts 25 numbered British cheeses (each paired with its own condiment) past diners so they can sample plates priced by color from about £2.95–£6.10. The concept emphasizes serving cheeses at room temperature (about 12–16°C) for optimal flavor; the menu is curated by Mathew Carver and head cheesemonger Sam Wilkes and includes standouts like a Cropwell Bishop Stilton with a chocolate-and-oat cookie and the Fellstone raw-milk Wensleydale with fig-and-cocoa spread. Service works like a sushi bar: diners grab passing plates, stack them for checkout, and are encouraged to try blues and washed-rind varieties at low cost; visits are currently limited to an hour, and the format is both social-media-friendly and practically suited to sampling cheese." - Lottie Gross

Rotating selection of cheese, great pairings with the cheese and wine, what more could a gal want? But for real this place was everything we expected it to be. The trays come fast but are plentiful and with a lot of variety. We loved trying the cheese alone and then pairing with the unique pair they had it with. We went for the all you can eat on Wednesdays which was nice because we didn’t have to stress about being strategic in our cheese eating. We loved the truffle cheese and one of my other favorites was a crème with beet chips. It was such a fun experience on the palette and would recommend to anyone that loves cheese. It was also in a cool food hall that I’d love to revisit.

Great selection of cheeses that are both fair-sized portions and good quality, paired with perfect accompaniments but also a selection of meat and pickles available, and refillable Peter's Yard crackers. All dishes are served on the belt and cheaper than sushi belt restaurants. You can even keep a record of which cheeses you taste by ticking off the menu! Service was a little skant with only two people covering lots of diners, and the atmosphere is in a food hall so lots of people passing by. However, our lunch for two people (five plates each) plus drink each and 12½% service for £70- and it was brilliant fun! Would happily recommend and go again 😁

It's something to like cheese, but to eat readily and well-paired cheese is another. This had hit it off to be one of the most interesting "curated" cheese experiences that paired the cheese offerings well with flavourful, palatable, and a burst of twists in the mouth from a dairy product. A shoutout to the truffle brie cheese, and the one that had the fudge. Without the fudge, the cheese felt average.

The Cheese Bar is located in the Seven Dials food hall. We were there at 5 pm and the whole place was hopping. We chose a carafe of red wine and pulled a selection of cheeses paired with sweets. They were ranked from mild to bitter. The cheeses we chose were yummy. The server topped up the crackers often. It’s a nice take on a charcuterie board like offering. The rotating belt reminded me of a sushi belt. It gets quite addictive when you get started. Our only complaint was that the stools could be more comfortable. It is definitely worth checking out.

Everything was fine but that's about it. It's not that overwhelming, and it can get quite pricey since the cheapest plates are about 5£. It can be a nice alternative for dessert but if you're looking to make a meal out of it, be prepared financially. The Pick & Chesse is located at the top floor of Seven Dials market and there's plenty of room, so you probably won't need a reservation.

Of course we checked out @pick_and_cheese at @coventgardenldn/ @sevendialsmkt . I had never seen a conveyor belt cheese before and it was pretty fun! There were 28 dishes to choose from. All the cheese options were paired with something. I didn’t expect much out of the pairings but I had the best biscuits ever there! Out of all the ones we tried, my favourite was St Ella, which was a goat cheese in the style of a French Crottin. It was so creamy that it was basically like an ice cream sandwich. The rose Turkish delight was so aromatic as well. If you are more into a savoury treat, we highly recommend their smoked guubbeen. It was an Irish washed rind cheese that was hand-smoked over oak. It honestly felt like I was eating some delicious bbq meat instead of cheese!

We had a fantastic experience at this cheese train! We were curious and had researched about it and made sure it was on our to do list for our visit from the US. It’s located in a food hall so lots of other great options that we will be soon to come back for. The staff were attentive, cheeses and pairings Devine!

This was one of my favorite dining experiences in London! The cheese and other charcuterie items come at you on a conveyor belt, with the different plate colors indicating the prices of each. The dishes were awesome, the staff so helpful, and it was a wholly unique experience.
