Pick & Cheese is a fun and truly unique dining experience — imagine a sushi conveyor belt, but instead of nigiri and maki rolls, it’s a parade of beautifully presented British cheeses gliding past your table. Each cheese arrives under a shiny glass-topped dome, clearly labelled with a number and served on colour-coded plates that correspond to different price brackets (white plates cost £X, grey plates £X, and so on).
The variety is impressive: every cheese comes with a thoughtful accompaniment, from chutneys and sweet fudge to crisp biscuits, all designed to enhance the flavours of the cheese. An endless supply of crackers are provided too, so you can build your perfect bite each time.
What makes the experience even better is the commitment to sourcing — all cheeses come from small British producers and the selection depends on availability.
Staff are knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and helpful — plates are cleared quickly and the whole order concept explained if it's your first time. Your seating area is supplied with tray, napkins, cheese knife, a paper menu and small pencil for you to check off what you ate/make notes , for your reference. A 12.5% service charge is automatically added to the bill.
You can also order items off the menu as per the photo.
The atmosphere is lively, and while walk-ins are sometimes possible, I’d definitely recommend booking ahead to guarantee a spot.
Whether you’re a cheese connoisseur or just curious to try something different, Pick & Cheese is a fun, delicious, and distinct experience that’s well worth a visit.
