Came here after dropping off a friend for college and saw this place on Yelp with promising reviews. Needless to say, it disappointed. My bf and I ordered the Spicy Crunch Baguette, and my friend ordered the Crispy Chicken West. We also got a cookie. The Spicy Crunch Baguette was not spicy and not crunchy, but the baguette itself was nicely toasted. The chicken was not crispy at all, it was bland and flat. The coleslaw was fresh but bland. The sandwich was just very one-flavor profile, nothing exciting in my mouth. Adding some sour, like pickled onions or jalapeño peppers would have been nice. The spicy sriracha aioli was not spicy at all, and I have a low spice tolerance. The server recommended us this one with a few other sandwiches, do not get this one. I had a bite of the Crispy Chicken West, it was the same one-flavor profile taste but just a BBQ flavor instead. The cookie was on the stale side but I could see the potential if it was fresher.
The service was good, the server was nice and gave us ample recommendations. However, the food took longer than it should have for what it is, you just toast bread and throw some ingredients on it, no cooking involved really. We ordered and sat down, and it was probably after 10 minutes did we see our sandwiches being made. Makes sense if the chicken came out crispy and hot like it was freshly fried, but it came soggy so I wonder what the holdup was since the place was pretty empty.
The ambiance is good, just a classic, normal sandwich place. The tables were pretty dirty. Crumbs everywhere. The restaurant wasn't busy enough to have someone not come clean them once in a while.
Overall, wouldn't recommend any of the sandwiches we got. Maybe build your own to be safe.
