12 Bars That Are Quiet Enough For A Conversation

"You might recognize this bar as that place next to Rock Box, the rowdy karaoke spot where you can openly laugh at the people butchering “Aaron’s Party (Come Get It) in the front window.” While its neighbor is a glorified fraternity party, Cure is a calm cocktail spot with maybe only a dozen seats inside, and it’s a cozy spot to start or end a night out. Drinks range from classic palomas and gin rickeys to mint martinis and flutes of rose with cotton candy on top. Also, a big charcuterie board is a must." - aimee rizzo

Where To Get Dessert After 11pm

"If you’ve ever snuck out of your bed on Thanksgiving night for an encore slice of pie and glass of bourbon, Pie Bar will be your personal Disneyland. And instead of your aunt catching you with your whipped cream-covered face in the fridge, you’ll be surrounded by other happy people eating delicious pie a la mode. It’s all excellent, whether you go for the warm apple crumble, whiskey chocolate pecan, the peanut butter mud (our favorite), or one of the rotating specials. If you’d rather drink your dessert, the pietinis made with fruit, cream, and a crust crumbles are very boozy - and very good. Open till 1am every day." - aimee rizzo

Google
Neat dive bar with sweet pie treats. Not a place I'd go to very frequently, but quite cool for a special pie focussed occasion.

What happened to the pies? I’ve been coming to the pie bar for about 10 years whenever I visited Seattle and at one point they used to have some of the best pies in the US. The coconut cream pie was the best and the fruit pies were fantastic. This time the pies were TERRIBLE!!! The coconut cream was waxy and overly sweet. It used to have toasted, shaved coconut bits and this time it was cheap processed strings. The chocolate cream pie tastes worse than day old cafeteria pie. The crumble on the fruit pies was underbaked and gloopy. I am so sad as I write this review but if you are like me want to go back because of fond memories, save yourself the money and calories and find a new pie place.

Google
My favorite place to get pies around Seattle! They’re so good! Specially the Deserted Island, that’s my favorite one. The service is great also. Definitely worth it!

Incredible dessert delivered to my hotel! I got the berry and the apple and enjoyed both! Lots of fruit in the middle and a sweet, crispy crust!

Okay, I know that this is an "after you've been partying" food place. And we definitely went there because we saw it on Instagram and it looked fun. It was 8:30 at night, none of us were drunk, and none of us were high, so maybe that's why it wasn't a phenomenal experience. It was definitely awkward when we walked up. There were two people having a smoke in front of the place and there was a chain saying wait here for a table. Turns out one of the people smoking was on a break and actually was the person that let us in, which was never communicated so it was AWKWARD. Most importantly, for a place that is called the Pie Bar, the pie was not very good. I consider myself a pie connoisseur. I get pie for my birthday every year because I don't do cake. I had the peach crumble. The crumble was way too thick and way too hard and in fact did not crumble, so you couldn't eat it with the peaches which defeats the purpose. The mud pie wasn't what I recognized as being a mud pie. There was hardly any chocolate. ?!? My friend got the coconut cream pie and she said it was really good. I don't know that I would make the trek back, but if you're already there and you've been partying, it's probably a great stop.

Google
Super yummy chocolate cream pie! They were out of banana cream both times I have gone, hopefully I get to try it eventually lol

Google
I guess I had low expectations and the place did not even match those. Look at the pie. 🥧 It was not worth the visit or money. I opted for the steak pot pie. Steak it was not, just ground beef. It was dry and the vegetables looked straight out from the frozen vegetables section. The dessert (coconut cream pie) unfortunately was one note, without much of a coconut taste. I will try another location and see if there's a difference.

Google
Bad spot for a date. One of the people on staff, Cara, was super lovely. Hope she gets paid well, and everything she wants in life. The other bartender? Not so much. There was a group of heavily inebriated people sitting at the bar, and they were generally being loud and having a good time. A couple came in, but left without buying anything pretty quickly after hearing how loud the drunk customers were being. The man behind the counter kept encouraging and continuing to serve the very drunk guests at the bar. While all this was happening, I was on a date with my wife, and there was another couple on a date sitting down behind us. The other bartender told the very drunk guests that he could set up karaoke for them, without asking the other customers in the bar. My wife and I left rapidly after, having spent over $40 for tbh pretty mid pie to come out in to-go containers. The other couple behind us also asked for their check before finishing their pie. We will not be returning, and we’ll warn our friends.

Yelp
The ambiance is a karaoke bar, small on the inside. We went for the deserts but they have pie inspired cocktails as well. I wanted to try all the pies, but settled on the coconut cream pie and mud pie. Delicious, large portions and very filling. The service was quick but seating was limited

Yelp
The shop itself is wedge-shaped like a slice of pie. I was lucky to get in as the earliest customer on a working day. The tiny, obviously well-worn, hewn wooden bar at which high stools were positioned chock a block tightly, gave me prime view of the impossibly tiny work space in which old time electric ovens are bonafide baking pies. This feels like a throwback to the 1990s Seattle of grunge yore, not this sterile glass steel edition full of vacuous corporate tools. The bar would feel crammed and impossibly tight when full but it did have hooks beneath for your bags. Yay. The bar workers seem like good natured working stiffs who were in this ship's galley of a kitchen/bar for soul satisfaction, rather than for the glamor. I endorse. This place has street-food charm, and sometimes that feels good but at other times, you just want a more sophisticated bistro experience, and that it aint. So be warned. The pie I had included marrionberries and other sour berries to temper the apple. It was such a mountain of sugary decadence that I should have stopped after three bites. But I had, rightly, ordered the vanilla ice-cream on the side and couldn't let it run through my portage as I still had to get to a ferry and get home...an ordeal of several hours. Hence I wolfed down the whole mountain of fruity/pastry dessert. Don't come here if you are on a diet. Come here if you have some one to split a huge slice of pie overflowing with sugary fruit! Not sure why I don't give this place a 5 star rating. Maybe it was just that I was expecting something more home-made, sedate, and retiring with the sugar. This was a bit of a sweet punch. Don't mind me.

Yelp
In the early hours of the AM after several drinks at another local spot my insatiable craving for dessert brought me here. I knew I wanted pie and what a coincidence this place was a pie bar. The uber dropped us off right in front and we walked in and were welcomed right away. Everyone was enjoying themselves and singing along to karaoke. My type of place to be honest. I ordered a slice of apple pie which was brought out quickly and I asked the bartender/pie guy if they had any ice cream and he said yes and gladly took my piece to add some. The pie was nice and warm with a good crust filled with apples and paired well with my vanilla ice cream. I absolutely enjoyed it. The whole vibe of the place was friendly and met people quickly with whom I ended up singing several song with. One of the girls and guys there were such good singers! I had such a great time! Definitely will be a place I'll revisit and have some pie and a drink and have my lungs ready to sing to my hearts content.

Yelp
I absolutely love the pb&J pie. If you want a rich, decadent, creamy pie then stop by Pie Bar! My stomach can't really handle these pies anymore but I can't stop eating them. One is not huge in size but rich enough to feed and satisfy the sweet tooth of 2-3 people. The Pie Bar here didn't have any line and almost all of the pies were available on the weeknight we went.

Yelp
Mud pie was pretty flavorless. Kind of just tastes like chocolate pudding covered in whipped cream. The fruit pie was better but a touch too sugary. Def not worth the price.

Yelp
Found this on a whim while touring late at night...might I say..some of the BEST coconut cream pie I've ever had (and I've had it all over the US) and on top of that, it was karaoke night?!? So so fun! It's a TIGHT space but they do have a walk up window for quick pick ups. The staff was friendly and super cool...this would be my go to dive if I lived in the city. Will come back when we visit, again!

Yelp
Great place to stumble in to in the middle of the night! Tried drinks of a couple types, I preferred the more fruity apple pie mule, but the creamy pietinis and warm&fuzzies are delicious as well (but FILLING). Don't expect beautiful serving or seating, just a nice hot slice of pie with some ice cream! Pie Bar will also host karaoke if you ask, but you'll have to squeeze up by the bar (note: not non-ambulatory friendly). Would definitely pop in here again after a night out

Yelp
Making magic happen with 2 am pies. My experience at Pie Bar screams Seattle. This local business is serving up delicious late night pies, and dessert inspired cocktails, in a dark grungy dive bar. While the indoor space is tiny, it provides an incredibly intimate atmosphere. Bar-goers pack in like sardines, making it easy to chat with new friends. I ordered the Desserted Island Pie, which was stuffed with apple, strawberry, marionberry, raspberries and crumble, and tried my friend's Coconut Cream. The Desserted Island was definitely superior and seems to be their claim to fame. Pie Bar also offers a walk up window for those looking to take pie to go, but in my opinion, you really don't get the full experience unless you eat inside. Since I was finished with consuming alcohol by the time we arrived at Pie Bar, I sadly missed out on their elaborate cocktails. I definitely need to return to taste one of their pie-tinis!

Yelp
Inside is very cramped and limited seating. Really feels like a bar inside with dim lights and music. We ordered to-go and the food came quick. We came during closing and didn't have a lot of choose from but these two pies. - Coconut Cream Pie: flaky crust with a delectable coconut cream. Sprinkled with toasted coconut flakes that gave each bite a little bit of texture through the creamy dessert. Very whip cream heavy but the buttery crust balanced it out. 8/10. - Chocolate Cream: An abundance of whip cream and barely found any of the crust. The chocolate was a milky chocolate flavor with hints of fudge. Wasn't too overly sweet but there was too much whip cream to crust ratio. 6/10

Yelp
Such a cute spot we stumbled on. The pie warm with vanillas ice cream was so good. We got the berry one and the fruit tasted so fresh!

Yelp
Delicious pie and cocktails spot! Love that it's a late night dessert spot. When we're done with dinner, we can easily hop by Pie Bar for dessert and good times with friends. We had the Oreo and Creme Pie - would recommend for Oreo lovers who want a safe pie to try. We asked for ice cream on the side because ice cream and pie go well together. The pie is generous in portion - it's very shareable. Service was so good. We had a kind and friendly server who gave us recommendations on what to try. Ambiance is casual. Loved the open space on a Thursday evening. Parking is street parking. Bathroom is clean meaning the kitchen is clean. All in all - I love this place. It's a community spot and a late night option with friends.

Yelp
Pie was good but there was a misunderstanding on my part, for waiting to enter and having pies for take out. Pie had really smooth and good flavor and creaminess, did not go into bar to sit they really couldn't accommodate for party's larger than 4 it's very very small inside. Girl at pie window was funny and very personable.

Yelp
Came here after seeing a show at the Paramount on a Thursday night. The space is smaller than I thought (maybe sits ~15 people) but it was cozy and gave Stranger Things vibes. I loved the old stand mixer you could see. I got the coconut cream pie and the apple pie mule. The coconut pie was really yummy and light, I especially loved the amount of whipped cream they have. The drink was good too, tasted like apples! Would definitely come here again!

Yelp
Totally understaffed on a Saturday night. I had planned to eat inside so I stepped in and saw no one except for the baker behind the counter. I tried asking if you ordered inside to eat inside, but unfortunately he didn't speak any English, so I stepped outside and waited in the takeout line. When I got to the front of the line I asked again about eating inside, and the guy at the window told me that I should order inside to eat inside. So I went back in, but by this point several people had stepped inside and there were no seats left! I had to wait for him to "open the bar." I finally got a seat, and then he took 2 other parties' (who had arrived after me) orders before mine. I should've just ordered at the window and brought it inside, like another party did. The pie was OK, not great. It was served very hot (too hot) and falling apart. I don't know if someone didn't show up to work tonight, but having only one staff member working for both the takeout window and the bar itself is clearly not working!

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place. It's very cute, but tiny! It's a short walk from SpringHill Suites where we were staying so we didn't have to look for parking- but I don't think there was much parking available. Not long after we were seated a long line formed behind the 'velvet rope' waiting to be seated. We felt rushed to leave. Unfortunately, the recommended seasonal peach pie was soggy- (more like watery) and had a weird artificial aftertaste. It could be a bad batch or peaches were overripe (tasted fermented). They replaced it with apple pie, which was also underwhelming (and that was the safe option). The pies were dated on the paper container and felt like they were microwaved to warm. Not worth the price per slice. I am offering 2 stars because the peanut butter pie was good and the staff was so sweet. But the overall experience for me was not great. It felt as though they were understaffed and mostly stayed inside to service the few chairs at the bar. Hope this is a place that maybe regulars enjoy.

Yelp
This place might have changed my life! The best apple pie I have ever had and such a wonderful, cozy experience. We were lucky to get seats at the tiny bar and I loved eating the delicious apple pie while watching Final Destination on the TV. Would come here every weekend if I could!
google avatar

Yelp
Stumbled upon this on our way back to our hotel and the pie was delicious! It was fresh and packaged to go which was perfect since it was pouring down rain. Thank you!
google avatar

Nate C.

Yelp
Interesting spot. The space is clean and has cool decor and lighting, but it's small and gets crowded. My party of 3 got a table, but we were short one chair and they didn't have any more, so I had to stand until another party left. It wasn't anyone's fault, so the rating is independent of that, but it goes to show that they can't accommodate too many people at once. We shared the Apple Crumble and the Desserted Island Crumble pies. The crumble itself was nice, buttery, and crunchy. The apple pie had caramel on it and the filling was sweet as well, so the sweetness got a bit overwhelming after a few bites. The Desserted Island pie was a bit better because there was some tartness to balance out the sweetness and butteriness. The pies were also not completely heated through when they got to our table: the crumble on top was warm, but the filling was room temperature. Service was good. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I wouldn't come back on my own because I don't find the pies worth the wait, but the Desserted Island pie was good enough where I wouldn't be opposed if someone suggested coming back.

Yelp
On a Thursday night after a Mariner's game, wife and I were looking for a spot to hang out and dropped into this great find. Pie. Drinks. Say no more! The place is cozy (small) and there's just enough room for a few sidewalk tables outside. By about 11pm a small line started to form. Desserted Island Crumble was generously fruity, and Mud Pie was satisfying. Bar selections were straightforward and unpretentious, and not overpriced. There was an interesting mix of music playing when we came in, and only after a few minutes we realized that it was some regulars singing karaoke. Pretty good voices, but they weren't hogs and let other customers sing with mixed results. Good vibes!

Yelp
We came here for some takeout pie on Wednesday night October 9th after dinner & hanging at a bar nearby. Has to try the pie after seeing this spot when looking up desserts on Yelp. Was a bit disappointed when we came by Tuesday night and they were closed, the hours on Yelp had not yet been updated, so the scooter ride was a bit of a waste. This spot has a bar inside & Togo window for pies on the outside left, a unique place just for that combo alone. We got the chocolate pie & mud pie and scarfed it down back at the hotel, it did the job of meeting a late night craving after dinner & drinks.

Yelp
For all the right reasons, friends have recommended Pie Bar to me. Pies and drinks, what's not to love? Since I didn't have time during my previous trip, I knew I had to visit while in Seattle! Pie Bar gives off the perception of your family's kitchen but with a hipster-like twist to it. Tiny in size, close and intimate seating, with the aroma of freshly baked pies and chatty diners filling the air. We came on a weekend night and were seated immediately. Workers were friendly but service was a bit slow as they were busy juggling baking and crafting beverages. I came with my companion and Seattleite, Jennifer L. We all enjoyed libations and pies. The companion and I split a slice of the Desserted Island Crumble. Topped with crumbs, warm and gooey, and a sweet messy goodness; he and I devoured it. My friend enjoyed a slice of Pumpkin Pie--it was nicely spiced. She stated their apple pie is divine. For those into drinks, desserts, and nightlife Pie Bar is a lovely concept in Capitol Hill off E. Olive Way with parking in the neighborhood. You'll find sweet pies paired with drinks, divey dine-in or to-go options, and decent service depending on the time or day.

Yelp
Slices only!! ...and bitchy about it. Meh. I visited this place at 6:45 in the afternoon. It was completely empty. Not a customer in sight. The person behind the bar was being a grumpy ass because I didn't go to the walk up window outside. Likewise, they seem put out when I ask what kind of pies they had (they have just five pies, but apparently that's too much to tell anyone). Again the place was completely empty and seemingly no time to have a conversation. It wasn't worth the trip anyway because they won't sell you a full pie!! Slices only....
google avatar

Yelp
I've never been to Pie Bar's actual restaurant, but after trying them from their food truck a couple times over the years, I definitely have to make a point to go in and get the full experience! First off, the pie truck is SO cute and fun. The staff is always so nice too! I've tried their banana cream pie and their peanut butter chocolate pie and oh my goooodnessss. When I say their pie is out of this world, you just have to believe me and go try for yourself. I literally DREAM about their peanut butter chocolate pie. It is hands down the best pie I've ever had in my life and if I wasn't trying to fit into a wedding dress next year, I would just eat a whole serving of this pie everyday for the rest of my life. It's that good. Their banana cream pie is also delicious, but I'll choose the peanut butter one every single day! If you can't tell, I'm really passionate about this pie and think everybody needs to go try them. Or not, and leave more for me. Either way.
google avatar

K T.

Yelp
The food here was okay. The service was not up to par they took forever to take my order and I was just sitting there. And I would just say don't come to this place for the pie it's not that good.
google avatar

Steve C.

Yelp
Regrettably, after standing in line 20 minutes outside to get a piece of pie to-go, I was definitely disappointed with the end product. I ordered the mud pie, but at the window they said they were out of it, so I moved onto the coconut cream pie. The pie didn't really resemble a pie piece when I opened the container, as seen by my photo. The worst part of this pie was that the crust itself was way underdone. The crust was white in color, someone took it out of the oven way too early. This was my first visit and I had high hopes, but unfortunately, it fell short for me.

Andy X.

Yelp
The pie was decent but service was horrendous. They did not offer us a choice to eat inside or outside and then when we tried to eat our pies on the outside, a bartender stated very condescendingly you can't eat here inside id you ordered to go even though there was a party eating outside with to go boxes. Ridiculous

Ranjeet N.

Yelp
Pie is incredible. I hate the workers, they are awful. They were mean and said we can't eat at the establishment after ordering. What the hell? Am I having a Larry David moment here? No! This is bullshit. The people on the other side of the velvet rope were using the same plastic container as us. WHAT DO MEAN BRINGING THE GARBAGE IN?! You know what I did notice? Is that there were all white people allowed to eat on the other side. Anyway I love the pie, 10/10.
google avatar

Charita A.

Yelp
This is a cool very little bar in Seattle where they serve pie with alcohol. Anytime I can get two of my favorite things in one sitting, its a win for me. I had the rhubarb pie. The pie crust was the best part about it. It was a little doughy and moist, with a crisp crust which is the way I like it. They played good music inside and the host/waitress was very sweet and friendly. I had a strawberry martini to go with my pie and that hit the spot as well. It had fresh chucks of strawberry in it. The best part about this little bar was that we were able to take our daughters with us to enjoy dessert. Kids are allowed before a certain time. I had to take one star just because of how small the sitting area is for guests who dont sit at the bar. It was very tight. To the point where you bump other tables if you try to move too much. My girls really enjoyed this place. It was funny looking at them in their first bar.
google avatar

Elle M.

Yelp
4 stars for ambiance and concept, as well as solid sweet-but-not-too-sweet cocktails. If you're the type that prefers your alcohol not to taste like alcohol, Pie Bar's gotcha. Three stars only because the pie itself could not be rated 4 stars, and if you have pie in the name of your establishment, well, your pie should probably be pretty good. The pie used to be much higher quality, but recently it has come out pretty messy, with sometimes weird ratios of crust to filling. It's still worth getting if you're here, but it's not some kind of transcendent pie experience. Don't expect anything fancy coming here--it's a tiny, divey little joint, but it's a great little space that's tends not to get too late and is perfect for date night or some lowkey drinks with friends. The staff is great and super friendly, though the service isn't always fast depending on what kind of night it is. Overall, much love for this little bar despite changes in recent years. Still a great place to hang out and will keep coming back.

Yelp
This small, cozy bar was about 15-20 minutes, walking distance, from Downtown Seattle. As a tourist, I was in a group and felt safe walking here. I'm not sure if I'd take this walk alone as a tourist. We arrived close to midnight and sat inside. Very cool, relaxing bar. It's very small inside, so we took up the entire bar/ inside area with 6 people (excluding a small table on the side). In addition to ordering martinis and wine from the bar, they have pie! I did not order any, but my friend said it tasted delicious. The expresso martini was great also. I don't recall a menu to order from, but the bartender/ owner was extremely helpful. Great vibes at this place.

Yelp
All options are superb, whether you opt for the comforting warm apple crumble, indulgent whiskey chocolate pecan, the beloved peanut butter mud, or any of the seasonal specials. If you prefer sipping your dessert, the pietinis crafted with fruit, cream, and a crumbly crust are delightfully boozy and delicious. They are open till 2am everyday except Mondays! We tried out their desserted island crumble and banana cream and they were just delicious. The ambiance was cozy and the service was pretty quick.

Yelp
What a cute spot!! We had come here after dinner at Donna's right next door. Usually I've been to Pie Bar just at their to-go window, but finally decided to go inside! WOW is it small! Physically, they have stuffed about 12 chairs where likely only 5 should be, but kudos to them for making it work! Expect to be intimate with the people around you! We got the chocolate pie which was just as expected. Their homemade whipped cream makes a difference! We also took a look at their drinks menu, and their cocktails are something else! They were so creative and I hope to try some of their hot chocolate spiked drinks next time around! The ambiance and being able to see them make their pies and work behind the bar was really fascinating! All the lamp fixtures were actually jars and the design was quite eclectic! Such a fun vibe!

Yelp
I'm not really the type of person that frequents bars, but this one was pretty cool! Since I don't drink alcohol, I really loved that they also have pie! It's a cool vibe. We came pretty late, around 1am or so on weekend night/early morning. We sat at the counter and two of the guys I came with had drinks. The only downside, was they had already run out of most of the pie flavors. I had the coconut cream pie and my husband had the apple pie. The pie slices were generous and the coconut cream pie was very rich and creamy. My husband said the apple was ok, but I also think he was sulking because the two other flavors he wanted and the savory pies were already sold out lol... We enjoyed this spot and appreciate that it's open late. The bartenders are really nice.
google avatar

Katherine G.

Yelp
This place is super cute but super tiny, so definitely be prepared to wait if you want to sit inside! They have an outdoor ordering area where you can purchase pies to go, but we really wanted to see the inside and sit down, so we waited for about 15-20 minutes before a spot opened up. They move quite slowly inside, but its really cozy in there - plenty of decorations, nice tables, and overall a pleasant vibe. We shared a slice of apple pie amongst the 2 of us, and it was definitely a good amount. To be fair, our server did say we got the last slice which was certainly larger, but we were really appreciative of that. The pie itself was delicious - served warm, with a delicious crust, soft apples, and the most amazing crumble on top. It was probably on the sweeter side of most pies, but so yummy. If you want to come here, plan ahead if it's a busy time! Otherwise, you can also take their pies to go :)

Yelp
this spot is such a gem! they have the best of both worlds - drinks and some yummy pies. it's such a cozy spot and we sat at the bar so we got to watch all the drinks and pie making. they are also so friendly and helpful with recommendations. definitely recommend the deserted island!

Yelp
I never thought pie could be so bad, but apparently it can be. We popped in for a sweet treat after dinner and my sister opted for a slice of the banana cream pie ($7.92). There's a tiny window where you can order pie to-go or you can dine in and enjoy some cocktails (or pietinis). The interior is quite small and dimly lit. After the employee took our order, she only came back to drop off the slice of pie and never checked back. This pie was undoubtedly the worst I've ever had. Not only was it not aesthetically pleasing, but there was very little, if any, crust to be found. It reminded me of the aftermath of pieing someone in the face. It literally just looked like a blob of cream on the plate sprinkled with a few hidden banana slices. They obviously don't care about presentation or service here, so don't even bother with this place.

Yelp
I usually am not a fan of pies but WOW this place was life changing. The pies are amazing, I still think about them... Tried deserted island and apple pies and both were freshly warmed up with vanilla ice cream and the two of us could not resist devouring all of them. We were originally gonna have a bite or two and bring it home, oops... they were both really good but my personal favorite was the apple pie - the best apple pie ever. We didn't really like their drink though - it was too strong for my taste... but doesn't matter, because the pies are incredible. This is a super small and unique place - it definitely has a characteristic vibe that I will remember. The service was great as well!

Yelp
I wanted some dessert after eating dinner so I decided to check this place out. I don't know what I expected when I heard pie bar, but the pie I got was mildly disappointing. I got the coconut cream pie and it came in a small plastic container. Taste was ok: in my opinion, it didn't really stand out. Texture was good, pretty sweet, and coconut flavor was nice. I guess I was mainly disappointed by the price given the portion size. Pie was smaller than my hand and it was $10. At that price point, I was hoping for a pie that stood out or for a larger portion size.

Yelp
I came here around 11pm on a Friday night and they were able to seat 4 of us right away. The bar is very tiny and cute. We tried two pies. Both were about $8 I believe. One was a mixed fruit one rhubarb crumble and the other was mud pie. They were both pretty tasty and a good portion. The rhubarb one came with ice cream (they asked if we wanted it) and it was a great combo. I wish I got to try their drinks but didn't get to. I love that it's a dessert and drink place! The small and cozy ambiance is very fun with music and an open door that lets air in. Love that they're open late!

Yelp
I have been here so many times. It is a good dessert place for most people who are in the neighborhood. I have tried the mud pie most of the time and the banana cream pie. The mud pie tastes like heaven. But the banana cream pie was more like more whip cream and less of bananas. I did inform them that it was not great and they happily said to bring it back the next time. But when I went this time after a long hard day on Friday, I paid $11 for a smaller piece that didn't even fill that need to eat something that promised to deliver joy after a long day. The more expensive it has got, the pies have gotten smaller. And such desserts are not supposed to be small. I think I am gonna draw the line where I would rather make a big whole mud pie myself for $11 at home than pay for a sliver. The photos I have uploaded were of 2 years FYI. You can use them to compare the current size of the pie piece. The current piece is probably a little more than half of the pie in the picture.

Yelp
What a neat concept! Pies and pie cocktails. The pies are very delicious, drinks are on the sweeter side. The only downside is the space is tiny and seating is not optimal.

Yelp
Small and quant little bar with a few table and bar seating. Very cozy vibes and chill music. Drinks were just ok for me, we didn't drink too much but the apple pie mule was pretty sweet and the espresso martini was definitely stronger but couldn't taste too much of the espresso flavor. Pie was excellent, loved the deserted island pie. Pretty winning combo of drinks and good pie. Would def be back for more pie and friends to try out more of their drinks

Yelp
I feel compelled to write this review, not because the item I ordered was bad, but because it wasn't what it was supposed to be. Before going to the Pie Bar truck in downtown Kirkland this evening, I checked the website to see if they still had a longtime favorite, the pb&j pie- peanut butter cream, topped with marionberry compote and covered with whipped cream. It showed that they did, so I went there and ordered it. However, instead of the compote, I discovered upon taking the first bite that it instead had a strawberry topping. When I asked the young woman working there about this, she didn't know anything about the previous topping, but she did confirm that it now had strawberry jam out of a bottle. This was extremely disappointing, and although it was reasonably good, it wasn't what I went there for. I wouldn't have ordered this pie if I had known that they'd changed it from what still appears on their website.

Yelp
The entrance of the bar threw me off a bit. The door is a bit tucked in. It reminded me a bit of Harry Potter . I came to a halt when an employee asked to check my ID. I guess I didn't put pie BAR together. Although he was stern he was polite. Informed that there is a pick up window just past the out door seating. The lady at the window was very sweet! I odered an apple pie w vanilla ice cream. Now I love me a meannn apple pie.. however this wasn't the case. The apple was ok. Nothing to complain or rave about. The "crust" of the pie is almost inedible. Super thin n drenched in sauce (apple?). The texture reminded me of the middle of a cinnamon roll.. not very pleasing on an apple pie. The top of the pie reminded me of the stuff they put on top of coffee cake. It was extremely sweet. Felt like I was eating sugar that was hardened. I think if the top layer was like the apple pie at Costco it would help balance the crust.. no the ice cream tasted cheap n refrozen. I had to throw the pie away ... $11 w a decent amount. Unfortunately I won't be back

Yelp
This was one of the top places on my list to eat at while in Seattle and it did not disappoint. My boyfriend and I shared a slice of the apple crumble pie and thank goodness we did - while it was absolutely delicious, it did seem to get sweeter and sweeter as we made our way through it. The crumble on the pie was sinfully good. I later on saw one of the workers take out a huge container of lard, so it seems as if I sacrificed my cholesterol for some deliciousness (no regrets). The apple filling tasted fresh and had a good balance of apples to juice. I am knocking off one star because my espresso martini was not impressive. The apple pie moonshine mule was a bit forgettable as well. Overall, Pie Bar is definitely worth the visit. There aren't many places you can get a slice of pie with dessert inspired cocktails. A few things to note: the inside space is quite small with limited seating. We were fortunate enough to get the last seats at the bar. It is quite dark and there are some quirky knick knacks all over the place which add a nice touch of character. There is a decent amount of outdoor seating with some cute string lights, perfect for taking food pics.

Yelp
Great apple pie, delicious pietinis (we had chocolate and lemon meringue), cute atmosphere, and really nice service! What more could you ask for?!

Yelp
Who wouldn't like a tiny dive bar with really good drinks and amazing home made pies? This is a must visit spot if you're in the greater Seattle area. I read a review that said the apple pie looked, for lack of a better word, disheveled and yeah, it did. But I remember the words of my late Grandma Bella, "It all goes in the same place and comes out the same place." And perhaps I'm wrong but I'd rather have an amazing piece of pie that looks messy than the opposite. This is truly an amazing late night spot. I didn't count but I'm pretty sure it only holds about a dozen people. You're able to hit up a window for to-go orders but for me it's all about the vibe. Watching the bartender mix drinks or whip up a batch of fresh whipped cream just adds to an overall unique experience and while I've heard there are imitators, for me this will always be the one and only. 2 stars for decor, 7 for food & drink.

Yelp
Came here with a friend for a post-dinner dessert on a Friday night around 8pm. We were greeted by someone outside who checked our IDs and then explained the menu to us. I opted to get the apple pie, with the lemon meringue pietini. The apple pie was pretty good, but it did start to get a bit too sweet for my liking by the end of it. I also tried a bit of my friend's deserted island pie, and I'd definitely opt to get that next time I come here. The deserted island has a bit of a tart taste due to all the berries, and isn't as sweet as the apple pie. The pietini drink was a bit of a miss for me, it was too acidic for my taste and I couldn't finish it. We sat outside so I didn't see what the interior looked like, but it seemed like they had pretty limited seating, so it could be tough getting a spot here sometimes. Parking is also difficult, need to get lucky with street parking nearby. Definitely would not object to getting their pies if I was in the area though!
