2nd time here & in addition to hella yummy pies- I have to say the service is always so friendly- explaining seasonal items & describing each thing in no hurry. Absolutely love the key lime pie which is the craving that brought me in today. Mango strawberry summer pie also yum & the savory cheeseburger hand pie was also delicious. Definitely the best pies in our area.

Hidden gem! Lived here in Fremont for over 3years and I wish I knew about it sooner. The pies here are made with love ..and consideration to your blood glucose :p seriously the right amount of sweet. Their banana sesame is my favorite rn, little bit of savory in it. The hours vary week to week so make sure you check before going. I assume they get busy with catering for events? And in general have life/human stuff 👍🏼which is totally acceptable just check ahead of time ppl or you’ll pull up to a store that is closed mid week or weekends but if you can be patient it’s seriously the best pies in this region

My Mom isn't the biggest on sweets and doesn't really eat many pies. However, I treated her to their key lime slice (something she actually does tolerate) and she LOVED IT! Excellent. She also said Ricky and the lady who also came out to speak to us from the back area, gave excellent CS and are nice people. I personally came for the pecan pie which they didn't have but I hope to try it. We've been trying to patronize this establishment since they opened but we're not always in the area or they've been closed. Fasho looking forward to the pecan pie. My Mom too, as her Mom in heaven, loved pecan pies. She wants to try it on GP 🕊. Next day update: BOMB! We had it 2 days in a row. The blueberry lemon hand pie was also fire. So good overall 😋.

The absolute best pies. They have great classic flavors, interesting seasonal options, and unexpectedly delicious flavor combos. The crust is particularly good but it’s all top notch.

Update for Pie Dreams' Halloween Pies 2023! Meet the Cauldron Pie: Dark Chocolate Butter Crust. Pandan Custard. Coconut Milk. House Whip Dots and the Devil's Pie: Dark Chocolate Pudding. Dark Sweet Cherries. Kirsch. House Whip. All Butter Crust. Both were very, very good. --- I love when I finally chase down Instagram businesses that I've been following forever. Pie Dreams now has a counter in Newark, and on the weekends, you may be lucky enough to get a slice or a whole pie! I'm not as big of a fruit pie person as most, but the caramel apple was probably my favorite of the options. Pie Dreams has an excellent butter crust that they use for all their pies, and it shines with that fresh apple flavor and just enough caramel to feel indulgent. And who doesn't love a crumble? The key lime pie hit all of the appropriate notes: hint of sweetness followed up by tart richness. And I also liked the lemon chess more than I expected to, as I've often found chess pies to be too gritty and flat. This one was totally smooth, to the point that I'm not sure I believe they added cornmeal in. I'm super glad I had the chicken bacon pot pie for lunch, as I really am a big pot pie fan. The herb gravy was just the right amount of moisture and lots of great flavor. I'm looking forward to learning what's on this summer menu next week!

We always have pies from Pie Dreams when we are camping in the San Francisco Bay Area. This excellent bakery has the best, most delicious pies, which we can’t skip after we had them on our camping trip a few years ago. They have many fillings, and I loved almost all of them. The pies are fresh and yummy!

Google
We just discovered this place next to Dino’s Grill in Newark. We tried Key lime pie, Pecan pie and Devil’s pie. All the flavors were wonderful, the crust was light and crispy. Our 6 year old enjoyed it as well - cant wait to try other seasonal flavors.

Google
They make my dreams of pies come true. For π day, they had a clever promotion getting discounted for every consecutive digit of π. I got there just 2 hours into the promotion and there was already a line wrapping around the building. By the time I got to the front, the ten inch pies and savory pies had sold out. I was able to put in an order for hand pies that were in the process of being baked. Coming back when they were ready, I was served blueberry lemon and cherry hand pies. They were warm and delicious. I started eating the blueberry lemon one on the short drive home. The crust is covered with sugar and is flaky and buttery. Also, when I got home, I ate a cherry hand pie. I'm typically not a fan since cherry pies, but I enjoyed this one as the filling actually matched my expectation of real fruit and not that overly sweetened pie filling typical of pies on a shelf. The owner said they wouldn't be open again until April, but I look forward to them becoming an institution, especially because señorita bread is missed from being sold here.

Yelp
Its a nice little local shop with yummy sweet treats, but im a savory gal myself. So I enjoyed the chicken pot pie. They are sweet and the space is small, but cozy. It would be cool if they did larger pies too, but the pocket pies are scrumptious. Would definitely go again. They were very quick and prompt to get the pasteries. There was a little line when we got there, but it went quick. Parking is a little hard as it large, but shared by many businesses.

Yelp
Finally had the opportunity to try Pie Dreams! Arrived around 11am on a Saturday and was able to walk in, choose from a few options and off I went. I already planned on getting a key lime but since I was already there decided on a couple of slices of a unique offering: banana black sesame. Purchased a whole Key lime pie - not too sweet, tart and balanced with a flaky, pastry crust. Usually for this pie I like a graham cracker crust but the pastry was light, flaky and almost seemed like a hybrid of a puff pastry. Banana Black Sesame - unique and picked up slices to share as mom likes anything with a black sesame paste. Bottom layer had caramelized banana set in a sweetened gelatin (vs pudding-like) and a black sesame whipped cream layer. Nutty, banana-y, with subtle sweetness. Family loved it. Service friendly and straightforward. Place is no nonsense, dim and set up for take out but there are a couple of tables if you can't wait to get home. Plenty of shared lot parking and located in the Safeway shopping center (along Jarvis side) Whole pie: $40, slices $8.50 Note: Pricing may vary on flavor

Yelp
With Pie Season (holidays) quickly approaching, I thought I'd leave an updated review since I've heard first hand from a lot of friends/family in the area that they still haven't given Pie Dreams a try yet. Why? Some people think/expect them to be open 7 days a week, but realistically, if you're only selling pies, thats not realistic from a business sense. So here's their current store hours (*as of Oct 2025): Thurs: 12p-5p Fri: 12p-5p Sat: 12p-5p Sun: 10a-3p Since this a family run business, check their instagram or website for updates. They could be closed because they're attending an event. You'll also want to check about pre-ordering your pie/s for the holidays as that's their busiest season (line gets wrapped around the building). Pies are priced fairly to what it should be; everything is freshly made with love and passion, the handmade butter crust and the flavors will speak for themselves. The menu changes with seasons and there will be times where a special flavor is offered (ie. Pandan, Banana Black Sesame, Strawberry Matcha Boba, etc) so get it while they offer it cause once its gone, you'll have to wait till next year. Ricky - piesmith/owner is incredibly passionate about his business, trying new things, and would love to have a conversation with everyone, when time permits. Have questions, just ask him. Some of my family's favorite flavors - Key Lime, Chocolate French Silk, Pandan, Banana Black Sesame, Lobster!!!! Go and support your locals!

Yelp
Bought their pecan pie and frozen pineapple coconut hand pie. The pineapple pie supposed to come with actual pineapple chunk filling with coconut cream. Haven't try yet as you need to bake it at home. As for their pecan pie, love the generous portion of pecans, not too sweet. Only thing I am not a fan of was the pie crust which was hard, thin and flaky and has a hint of savory smell to it (kind of reminded me of the KFC fried chicken coating smell). I prefer the typical crust that you can bite into and crunchy. Since this is a small family mom pop shop (& its hard to find as it co-shared that single storey building with 2 other food chain, I would have expected the owner to be more friendly and helpful in explaining some of their more "ethnicity influenced" pie... instead I received curt and not as friendly attitude from the man who looks like the owner and baker himself. I don't think I'll be back unless their pineapple coconut pie surprises me.

Yelp
Pie Dreams is located in Newark. I was in line when Ricky opened his doors on Pi Day 2023. His pies were delicious, and his service was excellent. I didn't realize that I had not posted a review, so I'm rectifying that now. In more recent times, I went to pick up a pie for Mother's Day. Although there wasn't the long lines, the pies were selling out. Fortunately for me, I picked up one of the few remaining whole pies. I highly recommend Pie Dreams. Ricky has done a phenomenal job.
google avatar

Cindy L.

Yelp
I found out about Pie Dreams via a friend on Instagram. I knew we had to pick up a whole pie for Mother's Day a day prior! There's plenty of parking outside and upon arrival, I noticed the wall of swag you can purchase. The owner, wife and their children were around. They're very kind and she asked if we had any questions. The flavors we picked up: - key lime pie (sliced) - black sesame banana (whole) The key lime pie was a bit more sour for our taste. The black sesame banana was a hit, though! The white custard cream layer was a bit sweet according to one of our cousins, but overall we loved the pie and its unique flaky crust. I don't typically like whip cream but I think theirs is made from scratch and it's very light. I enjoyed how the slice of dessert pie did not leave me feeling heavy and bloated, even after a feasty dinner. I hope they make a full on black sesame pie in the future~

Yelp
What a find! Pie Dreams has delicious pies with seasonal flavors and buttery flaky crusts. This small , cute and clean shop in Newark is easy to find with plenty of parking. There's a few tables inside but I opted to get a variety of slices to try at home. I chatted with the led er and he was so friendly and I can tell he loves what he does. My favorites were the Key Lime and the Apricot Frangipane. The texture of the key lime was silky and smooth with the perfect amount of tartness. The apricot and almond frangipane was unique and so good. I can't wait to go back and try new flavors!

Yelp
Cute little family owned shop with delicious pies!! You can buy them by the slice or the whole pie, which is more cost effective but damn that's a lot of pie hahah. They have rotating flavors too, so it's fun to check in and see what they offer on Instagram. One of the kids rung me up, so that was cute. I loved all the pies I've tried, but if I had to rank them, strawberry mango is number 1, then matcha, earl grey, and key lime. Parking isn't hard to find in their lot either! So if I'm around Newark again, I'm definitely getting some more hehe

Yelp
I love the pie slices made by them! They are so tasty and full of flavor! Pandan and Guava have very forward and bursting flavors! I love how the guava geleé has a coconut custard to act as a palate cleanser and it's tasty on its own to contrast the forward guava taste. Earlier I tried the strawberry matcha pie and it was tasty but the flavor was more modest and mute. Service was friendly and attentive! Ambiance - very homey and warm from the greetings. It's a take out place so that's all I can say. One of my go-to dessert places that's near my work :)

Yelp
I don't usually go out for pies but I wanted to bring a sweet treat for a friend's birthday. Most cakes nowadays taste all the same and aren't as fresh / moist, so I decided to get a pie instead this time and it did not disappoint. I got their seasonal strawberry mango and French silk pies, and WOW they were so good! Not too sweet, the crust was delicious! I didn't know what to order so they were able to give me recommendations. I would definitely come back and get a full pie next time.

Yelp
Sometimes, I think pie is better than cake. Hits different. I love pie all year round, not just at Thanksgiving or Christmas. I was excited to see Pie Dreams in my feed to cater to us pie lovers. I stopped by to try the key lime. One slice is $7. It has weight to it and I'm sure one slice can feed 2 people. Not bad, honestly. Some people may see this as way too expensive. But I don't. Pie is difficult to make and there's not many places that serve JUST PIE all year round. Anyway, back to the slice. The filling was okay. It tasted like key lime yogurt. Kind of sweet but mostly tart. But the crust? Holy moly. It is so hard (in my opinion) to get pie crust just right. Pie Dreams crusty is thick, buttery, and not RAW. They know what they're doing and do the crust the right way. I worked in food service for 10+ years and I've had every kind of pie crust. Raw, over baked, under baked, oily, flavorless, hard as a rock, etc. Their crust not only maintains shape, but it holds the filling very well and doesn't crumble easily. Why am I so passionate about the crust, you say? Because it's part of the pie experience. If the crust sucks the entire pie sucks and belongs in the trash. I wasn't a huge fan of the key lime flavor but I am willing to try it again and pick a different flavor. Thank you Pie Dreams, for getting your crust right!

Yelp
I have a sweet tooth. Cakes, desserts, and chocolate make me happy. Is cheesecake considered a cake or a pie? Well. On Father's Day, I did something different. I bought pie. Lots of pies. And they were Deelicious! Blueberry Lavender Caramel Apple Coffee Chess French Silk Orange Dream Strawberry Mango Slices of Heaven. Crust was buttery & flaky. Fillings were light, creamy & delightful. Every bite tastes like home. You can tell each pie was made with love. Enjoyed 'em all but if I get stranded on an island, I would survive on a whole pie of "Orange Dream".
google avatar

Melissa W.

Yelp
Love supporting a small family business! The spot is tiny, mostly to pick up and go. They sell whole pies, pies by slice, and even take home to bake yourself pies. I've had the banana with black sesame, the apricot (?) with frangipane, caramel apple, and the orange dreamsicle. They are all delicious, but the orange dreamsicle was extremely sweet. You can tell the pies are made with love. The people that work the register are always friendly and happy to answer any questions you have. The flavors are seasonal, so you might not be able to go back and have the flavor you like once the season changes. So if you find a favorite flavor, go often!

Yelp
I've never considered myself a pie person. When presented with other dessert options, pies were always a last resort. Well, that is until I tried Pie Dreams. Pie Dreams takes your average pie to the next level. I've realized the reason why I never liked pies was that I've just never had a good one! I've tried grocery store, big box retailer, and even some bakeries ... they were all simply inferior. And I realized why - none of these places specialized in pies!! Enter Pie Dreams. So aptly named. It's the pie of your dreams and in your dreams. I had doubts when I first saw their pies, what a thick and bulky crust! And I was soo wrong. That crust (when brought closer to room temperature) is just the flakiest, crispiest, lightest, and butteriest. As for flavors: - Black sesame banana - this sounds crazy, and it sounds like it would never ever work. OH, but it DOES. This was the first pie I had from here, and it changed everything. I also hatee bananas in my desserts, but this was simply heavenly. Delicate, not too sweet, and a perfect marriage of flavors. - French silk - I mean... just imagine eating the silkiest and creamiest chocolate and pair that with an incredible crust. This was a bit sweet for me, but still delicious. - Matcha strawberry - the pairing of flavors here, again, are 10/10! The matcha filling was quite thick, almost like a cheesecake consistency? It did help keep the slices of pie intact. The thin layer of strawberry jam brought a juicy tang. Overall, the ideal - sweet, but not *too* sweet. - Pumpkin - a classic flavor, with an extra spicy twist (not like hot spicy, but the fall spices were extra prominent in a way that I enjoyed)

Yelp
I saw them when we were leaving IHop after church. I pulled back in and I'm so happy I did. Their pies were so good, not too sweet and just right. I got the Key Lime, Berry custard Pie and the Black Banana Pie (slices). All were fantastic, different, and the crust is amazingly crunchy. We talked BBQ also I will be back for sure when they have their peach pies next year. Yummy!

Jules S.

Yelp
Service for sure. Walked in never been there before but saw it in yelp figure give it a try. No greeting just the poor kids who have to work standing there and when the older lady walks in just staring at you. No hello or offer to help so walked in walked out. There were no pies in the display case to even see what this place had to offer for the day. Disappointing experience. You can get better customer service at Nations for a pie

Yelp
First of all - DELICIOUS!!!!! So hard to choose because they all sounded delicious, but we ended up with Lemon Chess, Carrot Cake (pie), and a Blueberry Lemon hand pie. Best hand pie we've had in our lives! Lemon chess is everything you want a lemon anything to be. Carrot cake pie is not overly sweet but so delicious - if you like carrot cake, you will like this! Crust is killer too. Plus, the whole family was in there and they're so sweet. Love to support small and family businesses but even more so when they're awesome!

Yelp
Been in twice within this past year and call me impressed. I would actually get this more but they're only open on the weekends for just a handful of hours each day, so a bit tough for me to remember that they are there. Super small store, basically just a pick up table. They are a craftsman type of pie making and each week they will only make about 5-6 types of pies. I think their website will tell you which pies will be available that week. But in both times I've gone, I just randomly picked a couple, even ones that aren't in my wheelhouse, and they have always been surprisingly great. There is true craftsmanship in these pies which makes them levels above any commercial version. You can get pies whole or by the slice. Slices are about $7-$8 per and whole pies are definitely a tad over $40. So not cheap, but again this is not your typical mass produced bakery stuff like from Marie Calender's or Costco, this is on another level. They also have savory pies as well, which may be on my horizon. Generalities: Their crust is deliciously buttery. Totally reminds me of french pastries but this is a true American pie crust, rustic and dense. They will hand you pies that are straight from the fridge, so it is cold. I found out that their crust should be served more room temp as when cold, due to the butter, is crazy hard and not ideal. Much better at a warmer temp as the crust softens a bit and the butter is more meltingly. Whatever filling you choose will be almost perfect in texture and in flavor balance. I've never had pies this well thought out as pies are usually done by grandmas and family cooks, not so much chefs. Here a chef's touch is in play, even though I don't know their history. Apple Caramel: Not your goopy canned apples. Fresh sliced apples hold their texture beautifully and not overly sweet nor spiced. Drizzled with a caramel sauce that clings and topped with a slightly crunchy streusel topping. I've never seen an apple pie slice this clean, like it totally holds its shape. Amazement. Berry Custard: What was in my head totally was not what I got... in a good way. The berries mostly blackberry or oliaberry cuz of the color were kinda pureed and held together by a bindner so it doesn't ooze out, the slice actually holds its sliced shape. Then a thin custard layer goes on top to give it a creamy contrast which was money. And the berry filling wasn't super tart nor sweet, perfectly balanced. Again blown away. Pecan Pie: I love Pecan Pies but most are too sweet for me. Even though this was gooey from molasses and other sweetners, the balance of nuts to sweet were spot on. Key LIme Pie: I'm sure most people have not had a legit key lime pie. Key Limes are the key and they are those small round limes that are grown in tropical climates. They are a total different flavor than regular limes, it is more floral with a sweeter/tart balance. This tasted like real key limes to me. And again the balance of sweet to tart was perfect. Now the pies here are rich, like I can eat a slice in 2 servings. Can't say that the masses can appreciate the difference here, but I sure can. Great local score that I need to remember when they are available.

Yelp
Sweet dreams are really made of pies and this place does not disappoint! Honestly, that crust is legit to die for. Flakey, buttery, and flavorful. I NEED THAT RECIPE! This spot recently opened up by my house and I had to try it out. I ended up getting the Apple Pie because my husband LOVES this flavor so we had to compare to some other spots and I was also intrigued by the Banana Black Sesame. Both were incredible! Full of interesting flavors and textures, and oh ya... did I mention the CRUST?! Sorry I still have that crust on my brain. I ordered a slice of each, but I think next time I will order a full pie. I recommend ordering beforehand because I always see a line in front of this place. Maybe it was because of the holidays, but you don't want to miss out on these!

Yelp
This was my second visit to try out new flavors of this pie shop. I first found out about this shop through Instagram and decided to come back when I saw they had key lime pie and strawberry mango pie! They ran out of the peach hand pie that I also wanted to try, unfortunately, but hopefully they'll have it again next time. The key lime pie was just the right amount of tart and was finished so quickly. I never had a strawberry mango pie before and was pleasantly surprised. I knew the flavor combination should be good and was happy that it worked in the pie. They seem to have rotating flavors that they announce on their Instagram, making it easy to know what they're serving. It's a small but cute shop and I can't wait to go back. Definitely go earlier so they don't sell out of what you want!

Yelp
Pie Dreams has had a solid following before they opened their brick and mortar store. If you've never ordered a pie dreams pie before check their IG or website so you won't end up disappointed coming in on a day they aren't open or after they sell out! They do a great job of keeping their IG stories up to date with what they're sold out of/what's available on any given day. They sell an assortment of hand pies, sliced pies, and whole pies (in varying sizes). While I enjoy all their pies the crust is really outstanding in their sliced pie/whole pie variations. The hand pie crust seems to differ a little and is a bit lighter for ideal buttery goodness get the regular pies! As far as savory pies go my favorites have been the cheeseburger pie and the lobster pie! Do not skip out on these if they are available. For sweet I really enjoy any of their berry flavors! Service is great it's the actual owner working there he clearly is very invested in his pies and values his customers feedback!

Yelp
In my honest opinion, the best dessert ever invented was pie. Controversial opinion, I know, but I stand by it! Anyway, Pie Dreams had some GREAT pie flavors. I got slices of the strawberry mango and apricot frangipane, and LOVED them, especially the frangipane. I'm biased because I love the flavor of almond in desserts, but it was really good even if it was on the sweeter side. The pie was a bit chilled, but I didn't mind that when it was a hot sunny day. This is such a cute little pie shop, and I'd definitely be down to try the key lime pie another time (especially since it's decorated so cutely). The person who I presume owns this place was very friendly and seemed enthusiastic about it all. Very sweet!

Yelp
This is a cute little pie shop, clean and simple setting, with a bit of indoor seating (though I took it to go to picnic in the park), and lots of parking in the plaza lot. Service was sufficient with a young kid assisting customers at the front, and hardly a wait for my order to be packaged and ready. I tried the chicken bacon 5 inch hand pie, and a slice of the sausage quiche, more than enough for a filling meal. I'm so glad I opted to try both, cuz they got me hooked. That was probably the best quiche I ever had (especially as a breakfast lover), the ground sausage was so tasty. The combination of flavors and ingredients in BOTH blew me away, the consistency moist but not watery, and the crusts so buttery and flaky. That irresistible all butter crust has got me craving more, it's what dreams are made of... maybe that's the reason for their name. They don't have a lot of variety for savory pies here on any given day, but I still got nothing but love for Pie Dreams!

Yelp
My husband mistakenly had our car software update download when we parked to grab lunch at Mr. Pickles. So we decided to eat in the car while waited. We saw a line building up in front of the former Starbread bakery. Upon checking on Google and Yelp, it looked like this craft, locally owned pie shop was worth checking out. The line never got to be more than several people long since it moved quickly. Once inside, the vibe is a very cool, modern, chill place to enjoy pie. The minimalism inside is nice and not overwhelming. Which is perfect because the focus is the amazing pies themselves. I'm no dessert chef or food critic, but the flavor profiles on these pies are amazing. I would say that if you're the type of person who wants a very noticeable crust throughout most of the pie, this isn't the place to get that. The amount of filling to crust is staggering - and not in a bad way. It comes down to pros al preference. Sometimes, I want more crust that almost has an al dente dough-y ish tooth to it. If I wanted that, I wouldn't come here. If it was a nice, sunny day, and I wanted pies that packed tons of flavor and had a light and crisp crust, I would come here. Now for the individual reviews Carrot custard - I love my carrot cake loaded with chunks of carrot, golden raisin, walnut, the works. So biting into this was pretty fantastic. It's very loaded and did not disappoint. The cream cheese whip on top gives it that extra oomph of richness. Key lime - I never liked key lime until very recently. My brother loves key lime pie, so I ordered that famous one from Florida. It was great. This one did just as well in capturing the punchy and refreshing flavor of fresh lime. The tartness wasn't aggressive and was just enough to go with the house whip on top. This was probably my favorite of the three that we got today. French silk caramel - I love chocolate cream pie. I didn't know that I would love French silk chocolate pie but I should've expected as much. The salted caramel base takes it to another level. I always opt for banana over chocolate pie so I haven't tried too many chocolate ones in my lifetime. But I do know that this one is so smooth and rich, yet just right. TLDR; there's way more filling to crust ratio. The crust is thin and buttery if that's your cup of tea or you don't mind. The fillings are where it's at. The flavors sing! I'll probably be back to get whole pies to bring as dessert for any parties/gatherings. I can only eat so many cake flavors from all of the local Asian bakeries lol Don't forget to enter/the line starts on the Dino's side and the exit is the main street side. Happy pie eating! Oh- I do want to go back for the hooded sweatshirt. I love cute merch from local businesses (because I am not brave enough to ever start my own; I'll cheer others on from the sidelines)! The last nice touch was that the kids were in charge of the register today (Easter Sunday)! They both did a great job and the owners should be proud. Professional and friendly service is such a plus. Especially from the next generation who's already in training and doing a beautiful job.

Yelp
Decided to pick up some pies last minute for Thanksgiving. Their pre orders was already closed for pick up but we're still open to walk ins as first come first serve. Came Wednesday morning like 59 mins before they opened. I was second in line ans the line grew as time went by. The owner was joking with us, he was very welcoming. They even put out coffee from Peets in case anyone waiting in line wanted something to drink. Got the French Silk chocolate and key lime pies. Both looked and tasted great and everyone enjoyed them.

Yelp
Do you dream of pie? No? Just me? Well no bother, come to Pie Dreams and you may just start dreaming of pies or perhaps that first bite will start your dreamy state. Extremely popular among the locals as well as patrons introduced to it through social media, you'll always see a line before they even open. What helps Pie Dreams stand out is definitely their innovative, unique pie flavors and signature pie crust. They specialize in custard like pies but also have hand pies for sale which are great on the go. For pies, you can get them by the slice if you're just looking for a tasting or if there's a flavor you've set your tastebuds on, very the whole pie. I would recommend getting a slice first if you're unsure however. The flavors rotate quite frequently so keep up with their social media accounts to stay abreast on the flavors of the week. My personal favorite thus far has been their strawberry matcha - yes, we got the whole pie and enjoyed every last bit of leftover pie. Certain flavors may be a bit bold and adventurous for some folks but they'll open your bellies to new possibilities! We tried a few other flavors including eggnog, pumpkin, apple streusel and a flavor referencing Santa. We also got a couple hand pies to try. The unique flavors were...unique. We weren't instant fans of the eggnog one but I personally grew to enjoy it with each bite. The price is a bit higher than normal for pies but the quality and experience make it worthwhile. Additionally, the shop may seasonally close so plan ahead and order early. Overall, if you're looking for desserts to cap off a dinner or for a celebration and not trying to go traditional with a cake, come to Pie Dreams where traditional is thrown out the window with their out of the box flavors. Dream of all the possibilities - Pie Dreams probably has them!

Yelp
The chicken bacon handpie: 10/10. Also can't wait to try their lobster handpies!! Contains lobster chowder amongst other delicious ingredients; bought them frozen (made seasonally mostly around March)!

Yelp
My go to cheat treat. I try and make it out weekly to buy a slice or two of pie. My go to is the caramel apple pie. Today had a slice of key lime and peach pie. Pie dreams makes the best crust will all butter and the filling is real fruit. The young cashier always has the best recommendations and gives a great description of all the pies.

Yelp
Finally tried for the first time. Had a slice of blackberry custard and banana black sesame. Super tasty, unique, and delicious crust. Need to come back earlier to try more options!

Yelp
I have just become a regular at Pie Dreams. In the past a few weeks, I visit it at least once every week and have tried almost all the flavors :) This place has the most amazing pies - crunchy pie crust with the prefect fillings. I like them so much because there are so many flavors to try and they're not too sweet at all! My fav is berry custard! I look forward to visit it again \()/

Yelp
Delicious earl grey pie and super friendly service!!! I got an extra pineapple coconut handpie for a friend and the staff was very patient and understanding when I was asking about ingredients and allergens. I'm not often in the area during their opening hours but definitely will try to swing by whenever I can to try their seasonals and other flavors!!

Yelp
I finally had the chance to try PIE DREAMS and my GAHT... We rank it : #1 blueberry lemon hand pie : the sugar toppings add a splendid crisp BITE and you will find whole blueberries for the filling inside and it's super flavorful and the crust reminds me of a fancy cousin of the elephant ear pastry. Delicious would go back for their hand pies #2 coffee custard they provide a small packet of salt for you to sprinkle on top so adorable and the custard is so creamy and cold and pleasant! My bf said it reminded him of viet coffee while it made me think of the golden Korean instant coffee from Maxim HAHA I feel like there's enough caffeine to keep you going in this one slice of pie #3 key lime pie: lovely presentation but the custard was too sweet for our liking but eating each bite with the cream dollops on top balanced the flavors out a bit ANYWAYS DEF GOING BACKKKKKK

Yelp
Every time I go to my favorite restaurant, Dinos in Newark, I see this, but it's never open when I am near there. I decided to go grocery shopping and they were open so I went in and did some pie shopping! Oh, my God, the only picture I did not post was of that cheeseburger hand pie.... It was out of this world delicious!!! Every hand pie and slice of Pie we got was absolutely 5 stars. Honestly, it was the best pies I have ever had!

Yelp
Passed by this cute little pie shop on my way to pick up some groceries in the Safeway plaza area. I didn't have a chance to try their pies yet but just the super friendly little staff answering my questions made me want to come back or order their pies online for the upcoming thanksgiving holiday! Come support local small businesses!

Yelp
Pie Dreams opened where Starbread Bakery once was. limited hours 3 days a week (Fri.-Sun). no thrills operation with no decor. limited pies on hand. offerings: hand pies, whole pies, slices of sweet & savory versions. best to pre-order to get ur fill of deliz pie or try ur luck by popping in. limited seating inside. lots of parking in lot, beware of cars zipping by. was quickly served but couldn't decide immediately. choose key lime as it's my fave kind of pie. eats: key lime pie slice (7) -pie crust made with butter & flour, not the usual graham crackers... -"whipped" cream definitely house made, creamy but lacking artificial flavorings and additives. delicately decadent.. -key lime had a nice tartness. sad and glad I didn't buy an whole pie, wouldn't have stopped till I ate it all! 4.5 stars should be 5. since I eat dessert literally a couple times a year, giving 5 stars wouldn't mean a lot. Pies are worthy! save ur 2 cents, er $5 for a taste of their handpies *no idea how I would rate the other pies since key lime is my fav. **everything crumb tasted house made. nothing tasted as if it came from a can, a bottle, or a tub..... crumbs: -offerings are posted on website for pre-ordering. menu changes monthly? or due to seasonal changes/availability.

Yelp
Beautiful big slices and pie with unique flavors. the owner genuinely care about the quality of his pie. His wife and him are so wonderful and kind. We ate the slices in the parking lot and couldn't resist and go back to order more! Don't miss out on warm hand pies! Don't miss out on their French silk pie on sundays!

Yelp
Every time I bring these pies to a gathering they are a hit! I don't think there has ever been a slice left over. The crust is amazing, it has a fantastic layered texture and soft crunch but also has enough structure that you can pick up a whole slice without it falling apart. I personally really love that they do both traditional pies and rotating seasonal pies, since some parts of my family like traditional flavors but the other half loves the variety. It's also really great to just be able to walk in and grab a few slices on the weekend, too! I think every time there is a holiday there is a long line, but since they do preorders it hasn't really been an issue for me. Genuinely, I haven't had a single bad slice from here!

Yelp
Simple shop, absolutely delicious. Got their blueberry hand pie the very first time I tried them out. Started eating it outside and immediately went back in to buy some more to share with others at home.

Yelp
I've been here a couple times already and I love the family oriented feel here. Their pies are incomparable to any mass produced grocery store pie. You really get that homemade taste especially in the pumpkin pie, which is my absolute favorite :)

Yelp
Love love love this place. Just tried it today on a whim and got their coffee pie and their strawberry mango pie. We would def come back again. We loved that the coffee pie resembled a Vietnamese coffee taste, love that it was paired with some flaky salt on the side. The strawberry mango wasn't too sweet, just how I like my pastries! I'm not a pie person mainly bc of how some people make their crusts. The crusts on these pies were nice and flaky!! Can't wait to come by again and try new flavors. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I really enjoy Pie Dreams, I haven't tried many of the pies because I'm usually late to order and the pies get sold out pretty fast. But the pies that I have had are absolutely delicious. Pie Dreams is a local family owned business and the owner is very friendly and passionate about his pies. I actually found out about this place while looking for bakeries in the area. Once I followed on IG, took a look at the website and read some reviews I knew I had to try this place. Little did I know the pies are in high demand and as soon as ordering opens up you really need to be quick. I have tried the Salted Caramel Hand Pies which I found to be quite yummy, the crust was nice and flakey and topped with sugar. The apple filling on the inside was perfect and had the right amount and sweet and salty while the apples were very tender. I also really like the Cheeseburger Pie! This pie you have to bake at home and I love that. The crust comes out so crispy, flakey and buttery and it's topped with sesame seeds just like a hamburger bun. The filling is so flavorful as you have your perfectly cooked and seasoned burger patty, onions, cheese, I think I tasted mustard but I'm not sure. It's definitely one of my favorites that I've ordered multiple times. Another item that is delicious and unique that I love are the "Crust Chips". They almost look like little biscuits but their very soft. The flavors that I've had are garlic cheddar and the brown sugar. They are so yummy and when warmed up they are even better, so addictive and you might find yourself eating the whole bag in one sitting. Overall I really enjoy Pie Dreams and can't wait for the brick and mortar to finally open up. If you're looking for delicious pies in the Fremont/Newark area please give them a try and support this local business!

Yelp
We regularly come here for our pie fix. To be honest, before Pie Dreams I wasn't the biggest pie person. But the butter pie crust here is sooo good. I also love that that rotate flavors pretty regularly which is a good reason to come back and try something new. We've probably tried almost all the flavors already. Our favorites are the hand pies - anything with apple honestly. Recently they've got the blackberry apple which is a delicious combo of tart and sweet flavors. I've also gotten their savory pies and more recently got the Mama Lo's Mechado to bake-at-home. I will say the price was a bit steep, but I enjoy supporting local businesses and their flavors are good. In the future I'd probably just stick with their usual sweet pies though. My favorite regular pie is probably the French silk pie or caramel apple pie. The owner's kids are often handling the register and they're friendly. There are some tables indoors so you can enjoy your pie immediately if you'd like. It'd be nice if they offered in house drinks in the future, I think it'd up the ambiance a bit more. Will continue to support either way!

Yelp
I do not lie when I say these pies will change your life! For the Pi Day pop up, I stood in line for two hours (worth it!) and ordered one of everything. The brick and mortar location is opening tomorrow in Newark, and I already have my caramel bunny and carrot custard pies ($42 each) ordered for Easter (like two minutes after they became available for pre-order). I'm thrilled to have pies of such caliber in the neighborhood. Usually I drive to Gregory's Gourmet Desserts in Oakland to indulge, but now I'll be here regularly. Once you taste these creations, you will be too.

Yelp
Just wanted to add a pic of the whole pie we picked up today- Chocolate Silk. Baker's Square classic but executed way better. Thanks for also sharing more of your story with us! I hope you put it out there one day!

Yelp
Opened for Pi Day! Pie Dreams has been cranking out amazing pies from a satellite kitchen and gained a popular following. With a "soft opening" to celebrate Pi Day, the store is ready with pre-order pickups and ready made hand pies, savory and sweet as well. Picked up the French Silk, chocolate cream pie, Salted Caramel Apple Pie, and a savory Lobster pie and Chicken Bacon. Can't wait to dig in! You can tell Ricky puts his heart and soul into his pies and his pie dream of opening a storefront has been realized! Support local and grab some pies! The store will get up to speed and I'm sure a regular schedule will be available soon for preorders and walk ins. As expected and anticipated, today was met with a long line because so many loyal customers came to support. And as it was the first day of operations, some grace was needed as Ricky and team tried to work through the line as expeditiously as possible. I'm sure it will be very streamlined in no time!

Yelp
I waited in line for this special pop-up for Pi Day. This business was recommended by Yelp Bay Area, so I thought I would support. The place doesn't open up until April, and taking the past space of the popular Starbread, these pies were a crowd pleaser. It's a family owned business and they were so popular they ran out of slices and larger pies so many loyal customers waited in line with me probably for almost an hour. I had the blueberry lemon and cherry handmade pies. On first glance I thought they looked like round and golden brown empanadas. Both flavors were delicious. The blueberry lemon was a really unique taste, with fresh blueberries that had a coat of lemon zing. These are great when they are warm and outside crust has a nice shell of sugar coating. These are best eaten warm with some nice tea. I overheard the owner also say these aren't really great frozen to another customer. To me these are best eaten while fresh. Can't wait til their store opens to try some other yummy desserts!

Yelp
Really excited that we have a new, tasty pie place to try out! This is a family run business and I can tell that they put a lot of pride and effort into their work. My husband and I came for Easter and got a slice of their Berry Streusel and French silk (chocolate) pies. They were both probably the best pies we've had in a long time! There was a decent line starting to form before opening, but they were quick about getting everyone through, including preorders. Definitely check out this place if you want some tasty pie!

Yelp
Piling on to praise this place. Me, I like to bake. My pie crust is always good but not great - it's hard to get it great - but they succeed here. Love the rotation of interesting flavors. Happy to support local businesses making gourmet food. Worth the splurge.
