Pie In the Sky Pizza

Great spot for a quick slice! The NY-style pizza is tasty, with a good crust and generous toppings. Slices are big and satisfying. They promo 2 slices and a soda can for $9.99. Sometimes the wait can be a bit long during busy hours, but it’s worth it. Solid flavor and decent value, definitely one of the best options in town when you are craving for a slice.

It is seriously heaven in a slice, it tastes so good and it is freshly made. I was hoping to try the mozzarella sticks too but they were out. The staff is super friendly.

All transplanted New Yorkers now living in Charlotte have one common gripe. Where can we find genuine New York style pizza in Charlotte? While in New York for 35 years I used to regularly eat at Ray’s on Bleeker Street, continuously ranked as a top three pizza in the US. Go to Pie in the Sky, you’ll be glad you did and before long you’ll be saying “forgetaboutit”

Standard counter style pizza. Pizza was not the best, not the worst. Absolutely a quick grab if you want a slice or two if you're around the area.

Downhill, the only way to describe this place. I remember the good old days when this place used to have a line outside, but it makes sense why it doesn’t anymore. I was back in CLT and decided to try it again. The first few times I went in the past were great, I could call in and have a pizza made fresh; now they don’t even have that. They even used to have a special with 2 slices of pizza and a soda, that is gone too. I paid 11.50 for 2 slices of average pizza and a soda, major ripoff. Don’t come here, it’s not worth it and food has gone downhill.

The staff have always been energized and friendly. The person working the pizza counter said the special is $6.50, but when it rings up it always seems more expensive than it should be (even when thinking of tax). 6.50 with sales tax of 4.75% for prepared foods in NC should be a total of $6.81. I recently saw a small sign on the register that said they add a 4% (!?) surcharge on credit card transactions, but my total was $7.32 before accounting for my method of payment. In any event and not including the 4% surcharge, the price aligns with a $6.99 special, so maybe the employee misspoke. Pizza is pretty good and even with the price confusion, 7.32 is a good deal for 2 slices and a drink. I just hope they clarify these descrepencies in their advertised price. I will have to check the sign the next time I walk by. UPDATE: see updated image for sign of special, price advertised as 5.99! Ruh roh... Lower rating for deceptive advertising. 4 month update: accurate sign! See new picture. Updating rating. 3 year update: special is now $8.99, an over 50% increase from original deal!

Excellent friendly and fast service. Just happened to be pulling my pizza choice out of the oven so grabbed 2 slices and a soda for $10.

Came in yesterday night and really enjoyed the vibe but the younger cashier at the front after we ordered our pizza had a disgusting attitude and we were nice to her. Wish I could take my tip back but the pizza was good.
