Google
It’s a cute shop but only had 3 types of pie. We got the lemon-blueberry (other two options were chocolate chess and pecan). It was okay. The filling wasn’t very consistent and I wasn’t a fan of the crust but the flavor of the custard was good. Staff seemed disinterested and distant though, which left us feeling unwelcome.

Google
Beautiful spot and super friendly staff. We just got pie and walked the grounds but would love to come back for volunteering or do an event here.

Google
The apple pie had more crust than apples. The crust itself was heavy, thick, tough and bland. The two apples inside the pie felt dried out and unfavorable :( We tried all two pies on offer. The second one was as disappointing as the first. 🙏 I'm an avid pie eater. I find something good in most pies but not these, not even. The people working there gave an impression of total meh, like they didn't want to be there either. Pros: the ranch itself is very pretty and has a nice feel. Lots of free parking. Lots of seating inside at rustic tables and benches. The surfing beaches are close. Pie Ranch is an excellent name at least :)

Google
If you’re driving highway 1 and hoping to stop for a treat, this is NOT the place. Only one type of fruit berry pie on a mid day Friday afternoon. And they don’t sell by the slice. No other options.

Google
Found this really cool place on the way from Santa Cruz to San Francisco while making a stop for a “u pick” farm for berry picking. They didn’t have “ u pick “ but we tried their small blue-berry and lemon pie. They had run out of the smaller strawberry tarts and people were taking away their large fruit pies. Non-profit farm.

Google
the driveway is easy to miss right off the highway so slow down as you approach! I just love the mission of what sounds like a non-profit (not sure if there are two entities here or not) The pie was decent & really loved the savory veggie galette that uses pie dough to make the crust. This place grows its own ingredients (including the wheat) so everything is fresh!

Google
yummy pies, wonderful service, Very nice gift shop, different types of pies both regular size and mini. We tried the chocolate mini and lemon, blue berry mini. Yumny. Made at the pie ranch

Some places can get passed by way too many times, and then when you finally stop you wonder why this is the first time. We will be sure to stop every opportunity from now on! Fun location offering more than just pie. The pie is worth the stop all by itself! We got the buttermilk berry pie and it was heavenly!

Yelp
What a cool spot off Cabrillo Hwy to stop off the coast and into the delicious scents and smells of fresh pie. Upon entering you are greeted by a beautiful farm stand full of vegetables, fruit, preserves, soap, cards, merch, and more. We grabbed a hot coffee with oat milk, a mixed berry 'cutie' pie, an apricot 'cutie' pie, an espresso shortbread, and French onion galette. I love the mixture of sweet and savory, and that they have these smaller pies perfect for roadtrip sharing if you don't want a big ol' pie to take togo. There are picnic benches outside and upon looking at their website, there is a beautiful story behind pie ranch (a working organic farm, an organization with a mission to build partnerships for a just food system, and an education center). Checking out their calendar of events, they have meadow dances, volunteer days, and so much more. Private site rentals and weddings are open to book, and they have private farm programs/retreats. One option includes a hands-on pie baking lesson..love it! I love the idea of heading with others to this beautiful location to learn culinary tips, tricks, and make something together building community within community. If you're looking for a snack, breathe of fresh air and to stretch your legs on your drive home or to your destination, Pie Ranch is where it's at. Also to note..the pie was absolutely delicious! Unfortunately it was gobbled up before any pictures could be taken :)

Yelp
I agree I think maybe I stopped by at the wrong time cause all they had were mini lemon pies which were delicious but were really sour. Still delicious! Just not what I was looking for. Was hoping for more of the berries pie but they ran out. Luckily they had broccolini at the time (this was early January) so we were able to make a dinner with that. Still a really cool spot and they sell other items and promote the community which was really cool. I love what they're doing!

Yelp
Wow what a great operation! Lots going on. Pie ranch also works with the community and schools, hosts a day of activity like cooking in the outdoor kitchen and baking pies together. Special event and education. 2025 = 20 year anniversary! There's a barn store right in front with free parking, drop in to get some pies, cheese twists, pastries, flower bouquets fresh cut and arranged flowers from farm close by, apparel, beans, jams, merch. You're free to walk toward the back and around the farm too any day it's open to the public. If you have time why not look around *fun fact! Farm is shaped like a pie, that's why there are areas called "upper slice" and "lower slice"

Yelp
Maybe I visited at the wrong time (an hour before closing), but there really many options available--only Chocolate Chess Pie. The Chocolate Chess Pie itself was fairly impressive though. But the lack of pretty much everything else (fresh and not frozen) was disappointing, especially when you've committed to driving almost 2hrs to visit Pie Ranch for the first time ever. I get it, I visited an hour before closing, but the closing time is 4pm and it's a trek to visit this location. Please have more inventory? Besides the pies, not much else were there other than gear, which seemed rather pricey. I'd visit and try again but at a much, much earlier time.

Yelp
Delicious!! Amazing Pies. Great customer service. I tried the Chocolate chess cutie pie and the Lemon Blueberry buttermilk cutie pie. It is a Definite must stop by when you're in the area.

Yelp
Always love stopping in at Pie Ranch when cruising down Highway 1 from Half Moon Bay to Santa Cruz! While of course they have their namesake pies, it's actually all the other locally made goods that I love to shop. They typically have a nice variety of teas, jams, other canned food goods, cocktail mixes, pottery, and fresh fruits and vegetables. A great place to shop around for anyone who loves to host or spend time in the kitchen. I've only tried a couple of their baked goods over the years, but my mom typically gets a treat or two when we stop in. They usually have a few different options for sweet, savory, and even a vegan or gluten free treat as well. The baked goods are pretty pricey, but it is a very small and local operation, and everything is super fresh.

Yelp
Driving down Hwy One toward Santa Cruz, I've seen the sign over the years and was momentarily curious what a pie ranch could be like (photo: https://yelp.to/Ykk1f4XVJv). Jamie W and I finally stopped by one morning when we were staying at Costanoa nearby because who doesn't want a slice of homemade pie in the middle of nowhere? The building visitors first enter is an elevated barn. Sure enough, there were pies and other baked items in their display case. But there was a lot of local goods as well - fresh produce, jams and juices, crushed tomatoes, earthenware, T-shirts, handmade household items. We stuck with the pie and had the $9 Lemon Blackberry Buttermilk Cutie Pie which was perfectly sized for two appetites (photo: https://yelp.to/-Qfn-OQ3HZ). It was creamy tasty and not too sweet or tart. The $3 cup of coffee was a bit on the lukewarm side but still provided a nice complement (photo: https://yelp.to/Opxwb-sSfx). It looked like most people just came in and out of the building and hit the road again. That's too bad because the owners welcome visitors to explore their 14-acre farm which is ironically shaped like a slice of pie. We walked on the dirt road behind the building and read the educational signs that explained the genesis of Pie Ranch's sustainable farm and unique food system education and advocacy non-profit organization. We saw hearty rows of produce and plenty of livestock including goats and chickens who lived in a mobile coop. I heard they do Outstanding in the Field here. That would be cool (review: https://yelp.to/Xr5WnOj92b). RELATED - Exploring the Pacific side of the SF peninsula? Here's my collection of places I've visited and reviewed: https://bit.ly/3aiDR9I

Yelp
As we were driving up the coast, my girlfriend found an article which noted "If a name like Pie Ranch doesn't make you swerve off the highway, there's something wrong with you." and friends, that article could not have been more spot on, to the extent we flagged the place to visit and--yes--swerved off US 1 just before blowing past it. The folks behind this operation are dedicated to creating an equitable "seed-to-table" food system and offer the quality results of their labor at a farmstand selling flour and grains, homemade preserves and shrubs, and unique condiments like poblano vinegar and smoked shishito-pepper jelly. We bought one of the shishito pepper jellies home, and it was just sublime. And oh right , the name... wouldn't you know it, they have quite a selection of pies-- more traditional flavors such as peach and chocolate cream, as well as local/seasonal choices such as lemon-buttermilk olallieberry, which is what we got and devoured with our friends we were visiting up in Oakland--just delicious.

Yelp
Pie Ranch offers brownies, berry pies, and savory baked goods too! Got the strawberry galettes during my recent visit, and they were enjoyable snack-sized treats, the pastry light and flaky, the strawberry filling delicious and the fruit not too sweet. Staff communication and energy was minimal, but he rang me up quickly and handed me my order, no problem. They have both indoor and outdoor seating in a foresty picnic area, quite simple and charming. And there are about 6-8 parking spaces on site for convenience.

Yelp
Pie Ranch is further down the coast from Pescadero and a great pit stop to pick up fresh baked pies. I came down pretty late in the day and was able to get the last blueberry lemon pie (delicious!). They had a few chocolate pies for sale as well. If you can't get their fresh pies in time, they also have frozen pies you can purchase. Pie Ranch is a working farm selling not just pies, but also fruits, produce, florals and souvenir items. They have quite some land that you can tour yourself and walk around to enjoy nature and their animals.

Rick A.

Yelp
Girl at the register must have been having a bad day. Ruined our visit. I simply asked if they had any frozen pies, to which she starkly answered, "We don't have those right now." Not worth stopping.

Yelp
We stopped here after hiking the Ano Nuevo State Park trail, so this was a good surprise as we were very hungry. They had plenty of pies - large ones, mini ones, and frozen ones. They also have bread, coffee, plenty of fresh produce, eggs, and other items like jams, hot sauce, and other merchandise. We got the mini pies--lemon berry and walnut. Both were really good; I personally liked the lemon flavor better. There are also a few picnic tables outside to relax and enjoy the treats.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem, and I'm not sure I want to write a recommendation for it! But that's not the Yelper way:) Most people probably miss it, driving right past the location. Cute little spot for some pie and coffee. Not a huge selection of pies, but I guarantee the pie you select is going to be so good! I'm a big Dutch apple pie fan, and of course, they did not have this so I opted for a mini Keylime pie and it was so delicious! I also went with a cold brew coffee, which came in this nice little bottle! Also, amazing! They provide small plates and utensils, so you can eat outside on the benches. they have cute, random merchandise as well! Good customer service, too! If you're ever in the area, it's worth stopping by! Will definitely be back.

Yelp
One of my favorite places for pie! They run out pretty quickly so either to eat you go super early or call in advance for pie. I love that they don't always have the same pie so it's a great mix of variety. I also love that they have fresh produce, jam, bread, and more selections to choose from so that it's not just for pies. Definitely place to check out !
google avatar

Tim L.

Yelp
Great breads, especially the seeded loaf! We also like the salt-dusted chocolate cookies. Expert tip. Go after 4pm for their happy hour prices. Another tip: call to reserve what you want/need since they do frequently sell out
google avatar

Vicki L.

Yelp
Three different pie options? This shouldn't be called a "pie ranch". However, unique specialty sauces, salsas, beans, etc. for purchase. Cute place. WiFi is only for staff. No cash purchases after 4pm.
google avatar

Kasey H.

Yelp
A gem hidden along the highway 1! Don't drive too fast or you'll miss the entrance. And inside is a wonderful assortment of pies and other baked goods, as well as fresh produce from their farm. Pro tip: you can call in the AM to reserve from their daily selection and pick it up by the time they close at 5pm. Otherwise, they sell out QUICK (like, 10am - 12pm some days). Then take your baked goods and sit in their cute outdoor area with a massive tree hung with string lights or drive a few minutes in any direction along Highway 1 and make it a beach picnic!

Yelp
Had fewer pies than I was expecting - they only had about 3-4 variations of flavors in different sizes and a couple of breads from Companion Bakeshop. Everything is baked at Companion with ingredients from the Ranch, then is brought over every morning. They do sell other items like beef jerky, candles, stationery, tees, produce, jams, etc. It's very pleasant inside - there's a sort of quaint charm in the air. We got the strawberry galette, which I found to be a little too tart, and the lemon olallieberry custard pie, which was delicious. I also tried the mango habanero beef jerky, which was way too spicy for me, and bbq jerky, which was good but on the tough side. I'll have to come back again for apple and pumpkin pies this season!
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious double chocolate sea salt cookies. The Cheese garlic twist was very good. We liked the flaky crust, buttery, garlic, and cheesy taste
google avatar

Shanna K.

Yelp
Delicious pies, cookies, breads and more... as well as jams, chutneys, oils, vinegars and other goodies... Made by Pie Ranch as well as other local artisans. Excellent for gifts, or just a treat for yourself and we always make it a point to stop here on our way along the coast. There is a large enough gravel parking lot and access is easy on and off the freeway but get there relatively early because they often sell out.

A P.

Yelp
we stopped at this farmstand while driving on highway 1. we tried the strawberry lemonade jelly and the chocolate chess pie, both were delicious! will come back to try the other pie flavors.
google avatar

Tommy C.

Yelp
Covid precautions in place. Pies sold out by lunchtime on a weekday. Jams/preserves were just ok.
google avatar

GEO E.

Yelp
A ranch for pies. Who'd have thunk it. We didn't see any pieboys running pies, and I wonder if they have rustlers stealing pies. We had been here earlier this year for an Outstand in a Field dinner and were entranced with the location and vibe. We walked into the barn/shop and were greeted with lots of yummy things to take home. They mill their own flower and have their baked products baked off-site at a commercial kitchen. It is delish. The pies are full sized and mini for 2 people. We also went home with some preserves that just looked too tasty to leave behind. The pies sell out early. Try the Pie Ranch, you'll like it.

Tanner T.

Yelp
We were excited and expected a delicious peach pie, but what we got was pure crumbly dry pie with no pieces of peaches in it, it was a mini $9 peach pie to share, we tossed it after we each took a bite, it was that bad!

Yelp
I've had a hole left in my heart since Mission Pie closed, but boy does Pie Ranch fill that hole and more! Amazing mini pies, and probably the best vegan brownie I've ever had. This place may very well have the best pies I've had as well, the flavors were all amazing and fresh bursting with berry/lemon flavor and the crust was delicious buttery goodness! Guess it gives me a good reason to drive along the beautiful highway 1 coast again soon, I need to come back to try all the flavors! Staff was very friendly and accommodating as well! The perfect road trip snack stop & one of my new favorite spots, I would highly recommend it!
google avatar

Yelp
I highly highly highly recommend their Walnut pie! My dad and I bought the mini to try and our only regret is not getting a large! So we came back and finally got our large walnut pie today with absolutely no regrets. To say its delicious hardly does it any justice. The walnut pie is not to sweet, soooo buttery, and the crust crispy (and doesn't feel like a chore to eat, if you know what I'm saying!) my family isn't even full of pie people, but the Pie Ranch is now an essential stop when we go to Half Moon Bay. My mom's favorite part is that this pie doesn't leave any lingering sweet icky feeling in your mouth. It's simply a beautiful nutty flavor and then it's gone much too soon. Also, this place is getting more popular which is great for them but kind of sad for my pie acquisition needs. We showed up at 2:30pm and they were sold out of all their fresh baked goods since 2pm! I might even go so far as to say visit the Pie Ranch first then go to whatever beach or lighthouse you were planning to visit. It's so worth it.

Diaz R.

Yelp
Garlic twist bread was fantastic! Also bought the buttermilk lemon blackberry pie! So delicious.
google avatar

Jenna R.

Yelp
WOW, best pie ever!! Such a cute spot along highway 1 with yummy snacks and picnic tables to sit and enjoy your treats! We tried the mini berry pie and double chocolate cookie- both were perfect :)

Yelp
They are called Pie Ranch and there's a pie in their logo. But there were no pies at Pie Ranch, no fresh ones anyway. Whether small or large, all had already been sold out by mid afternoon on a weekend. But they are open until 5pm. There was a minuscule selection of frozen pies available (walnut or lime) for $22. Neither the flavors nor that price for a frozen pie appealed to me so I passed. Therefore in an attempt to at least leave with something since we drove there, we bought some miscellaneous items: a toffee cookie, fresh strawberries (very sweet) and a strawberry lavender jam. They sell pastries but most were sold out as well. Cute store in a barn with some picnic tables outside but Pie Ranch not having any fresh pies available upon walk-in was disappointing. I understand that you can reserve a pie in advance for pick up but most customers are tourists and will not be doing that. I ended up getting my fresh pie from Arcangeli's who had plenty available. Whew!
google avatar

Yelp
3.5 stars overall, but rounding up since the profits from Pie Ranch's farmstand go directly into supporting their non-profit educational farm's programs with a focus on food justice. Located right on Highway 1, Pie Ranch offers sustainable and locally grown produce, preserves, local goods, and pie. They weren't busy yet around 1pm on a Saturday in June, and there was still a full selection of fresh pies to choose from. I didn't realize that their pies are from Companion Bakeshop in Santa Cruz, and not actually baked onsite. That was a little disappointing, given that their name is Pie Ranch.. in any case, I ended up going with one of the pies (I believe it was the Lemon Blueberry, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=nv5izeTRhLpy7aKsYqTwIw&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg). They only had a few pies available, and you had to either choose the small galette size or a full pie (no slices were available). The lemon blueberry was good, and the filling was smooth and slightly tangy. I loved their flaky and buttery crust. However, I'd prefer to go to one of Companion Bakeshop's locations in Santa Cruz, since they sell pies by the slice and also have a large variety of other baked goods available. Pie Ranch also had ice cream from Revival Ice Cream in Monterey available, and you can try their award winning Bee's Knees ice cream (honey, beeswax, homemade honeycomb candy), in addition to a large variety of different ice cream flavors. However, if you've never tried the Bee's Knees, I'd highly recommend it since it's super unique AND delicious. No indoor seating is available, but they do have a few picnic tables outside if you want to enjoy your pie/ice cream there. It was worth checking out Pie Ranch once, and it's a good place to stop by if you're looking for one stop shopping for pie, ice cream, organic produce, jams/jellies/hot sauces, and other miscellaneous homemade items. However, the items are on the pricier side, and I'd rather stop by one of the other local fruit stands along Highway 1. Parking was easy to find that day since it wasn't busy.

Yelp
I got the apple pie! 10-10 I would definitely recommend. Also, the drive was absolutely breathtaking.
google avatar

Jfn S.

Yelp
I would probably change the name of the business since I expected more pies and varieties of pies. All the pies they had were in the custard direction like chocolate, lime and lemon buttermilk, plus the walnut pie. No berries or fruit pies, which to me is a bit disappointing. The prices of the little pies are a bit steep, but they taste delicious. The value of their freshly baked bread is definitely better. I won't bend over to go back, but if I'm in the area and crave pie, I might stop by again.
google avatar

Yelp
Ran in admittedly 5 minutes before closing to grab and go a hostess gift. Rather than a polite "heads up we're about to close" I basically got scolded. I came in running to be out before the people already in there, I know. With that attitude I turned my ass around to go elsewhere and give my $30 to someone who won't treat adults like children.

Yelp
In reading background of Pie Ranch I support what they stand for with integrating with true schools to help teach kids good healthy living and learn how to grow foods from the ground to make something like fresh pies. Life of a farmer is not easy. All natural and organic ingredients, just read the frozen box the pie comes in. Ingredients you can read and understand. There's like a garden in back I think and more parking. I don't know because I didn't have time to explore. There's picnic tables to eat your food outside the shop. Like other reviewers, I also was expecting a large selection of pies to pick from, but I did come in the last hour before closing and they had only a like personal peach pies left like maybe 6-8 left? They did have a whole frozen peach pie which I got and one personal pie. Rest of shop had other non food items. I didn't have time to look around, but found a cute soap shaped like a pie which I thought was funny. I rather eat a pie instead, but that's just me. From the reviews, I think the Lemon Buttermilk pie sounds like the best pie with the comments here. All the stops along the Highway 1 will be an adventure, as you are driving through so many small towns. I did eat the small pie when I got home. It's an okay pie with all natural ingredients which I give thumbs up for. But I wouldn't go out if my way for it, unless you happen to be driving through and decide to stop. Maybe their other pies may have better flavors, but I wouldn't know anytime soon.
google avatar

Jodi M.

Yelp
Yummy pies and local treats make this a great stop. Super safe during COVID as they only let one family in at a time. I tried the small walnut and the small chocolate pies. Yummy walnut is a take on the traditional pecan pie. The small size is good for 2 forks unless you are a pie fan like me. The setting is lovely and adds to the charm.
google avatar

Amber C.

Yelp
Second time here no pie! Cute place with a little bit of everything but pie. Will try again another day.
google avatar

Siddhartha G.

Yelp
A welcoming roadside stop on highway 1. Glad to see them enforcing strict distancing rules and only allowing one customer family in at a time. Excellent jam collection and of course the pies. We tried the savory cheesy one and the apple pie, both were oh so good. The center is usually the best part but I really enjoyed the flaky crust too.

Yelp
Taste: 4.5 Value: 4 Service: helpful I called earlier due to a pro tip I read on yelp that they tend to sell out fast. I called around 1p and they were already sold out of a few things. But I was able to put a fresh whole pie on hold. As long as I picked it up by 4p, it was mine. Supposedly they will release your pie to the wild during the last hour if it's not picked up by them. However, I got a sad voicemail about a half hour I made this call. Unfortunately, the bakers had made a boo boo and switched the salt and sugar that day. Wow. Pretty hard to believe that these pros could make a mistake like that, and sadly with a whole days worth of pie, but hey, they're only human. I'm more impressed that they took measures quickly to right the wrong and offer alternative options. Luckily, one worked for us. We were able to snag a whole frozen pie (different flavor than the one we intended to buy fresh) for a fraction of the fresh pie price. We got the strawberry streusel which had a sweet, crumbly top layer and moist and fruity center and a decent crust. Probably one of the best streusel and fruit layers I've had, though I've had better crust. I can't wait to try another flavor someday.

Sheryl T.

Yelp
I think we got unlucky with our timing. Arrived on Sunday on MLK weekend at 3:30pm. Only 3 large pies left at $32 a pop. Really wanted to try a mini pie to see what all the fuss and signs are about. We had some single serving ice cream instead - which was good but definitely not pie. Clearly popular.

Yelp
We went to Pie Ranch for an outing while camping at the Basin. It's a fun visit. I got the group a berry lime pie. I got a small pie and a galette. They have soaps and some fun items. I got two stickers. I got the pie for free lol.

Yelp
Anyone that reviews this place poorly should have their soul checked. The pies are delicious. If you got one you didn't like- please remember they're made off-site and this place is a NON-PROFIT that provides education about farming to children. I don't care if they sell cow patties. But thankfully they don't, instead selling my family's favorites like chocolate chess, key lime and lemon buttermilk pies. I've nearly only been rung up by the nicest people with the exception of one employee that had less personality than my pants but it's cool. Delicious jams and beautiful locally crafted kitchenware round out the gem along with prime organic produce. A little "free mini library" for kids greets you before you enter. If more places like this existed, the world wouldn't be so angry. The kind of angry that gives a Non-for-profit pie "stand" a mere one star. Xo

Yelp
We just returned from the Costanoa Lodge in Pescadero. We had a great dinner at the Cascade Restaurant there which was topped off with a wonderful apple pie for dessert. The waiter told us that the pie was from the Pie Ranch. I saw a very negative review of the Pie Ranch pies here on Yelp as we were curious about Pie Ranch before our trip to Costanoa. The pie we had was excellent! We will definitely check out Pie Ranch the next time we get down to Pescadero. It's worth the drive!

Yelp
Even at the end of the day, the staff here is very friendly. Everything here looks like it's homemade with a touch of love. The pie's at this place are absolutely good and worth every penny. The pies taste fresh and have the right amount of sweetness. You can actually taste the fruits it made with and it not over powered by sugar like other pies.
google avatar

Ashley A.

Yelp
Best pie in the bay-ish area. Don't come near closing or you'll be scolded and told "we're closing" even if it's only 4:40.

Angela W.

Yelp
This place was horrible. I got an apple pie and a gluten free walnut brownie. The brownie was ok, but the Saran Wrap was open on the side, and I believe I found a hair on my brownie. It was so rich that by the end of the brownie I could barely manage to take another bite. The pie was completely awful. The crust was hard and dry, and tasted weird, and there was barely any filling. When there was some filling it was disgusting. It was a weird puke color and they left the skin on the apples. There was a piece of skin that had black dots all over it, I ate it and it was so bad I spit it out. You would think a place with the word pie in its name would have actually good pies. Anyways, don't go here it was disgusting and a waste of money! $23 for a single pie... that was horrible. Just go somewhere else.

Yelp
This is one of those random stops on cabrillo/highway one that make going up/down the coast so legendarily epic. It's also tricky to review as what people think it is, isn't really what it is and also depending on when you come your experiences can be quite different. Parking isn't any too big a deal. Sure you might have to try one of those challanging lefts against the never ending stream of summer cars but with a bit a patience it's doable and the gravel lot will have room either in front or in back. Inside it's a farmers/garden market/educational center set up in a barn. As the non profit part of this is community based agriculture-lots of youth programs-you can learn a bit about where your food comes from. This is also a working farm, with a native garden in back that you can take a look at. All that is utterly charming but they are also locally famous for pie. The quality is outstanding no lie, and it can become the center bragging point of any gathering, but it's also one of (if not the most) expensive [ie you can buy. something along the lines of forty bucks a pie, which may or may not be a deal breaker for you. Thankfully the other items are much more affordable and the coffee pot is always on, always strong, and always welcome at around a buck a cup. Bring cash though as the credit processing machine doesn't always work, and there is no cell phone coverage in this spot. Note that there will be less foodstuffs in winter and some things-like strawberries-are only available in season. All in all it's one of those great quirky, mellow spots well worth a stop and browse. A must do if you enjoy cooking.

Yelp
I really love this place. Sometimes they have more options than others. I enjoyed their coffee, their pies, fresh local veggies, and their jams (aside the seeded ones which I found were a bit heavy on the seeds). This is a great place to stop during a nice scenic drive. Take advantage and stop for pie!

Yelp
My bf and I stopped by Pie Ranch on our way home and got an Orangeblossom Galette and a Honey Nut Oat Pie. We ate the galette right away and it was delicious! I loved the almond flavor and the orangeblossom added a nice flavor that wasn't too strong or sweet. We tried out the Honey Nut Oat Pie at home after dinner and it was also delicious and surprisingly not too sweet. The texture of the pie was my favorite part, it was very crumbly inside and the crust was so good! They had some savory pies that we wanted to try but they were already sold out at around 3pm. There are also a bunch of other local goods and fresh produce for sale here. This is definitely a good pit stop if you're doing a road trip down the coast!
