"This strip mall pizzeria is San Marcos’s favorite spot for imaginative pies. Try the San Martian, an elotes pizza with Dos Equis-braised chicken, Mexican street corn, and cilantro-lime crema. Takeout orders can be placed online; there are indoor and outdoor dine-in areas." - Brandon Watson

This is my second time contemplating leaving a negative review for Pie Society, the first time when we got there for the pickup we were informed the online pickup was down and that they would replace our order. After waiting another forty minutes the pizza was finally ready, but it was missing the sausage and spinach from the original order, but with an addition we didn’t order, hair! We messaged with the manager and they got the situation resolved. Tonight was our first time going back since then, our order was placed at 8:23, pickup was at 8:53 which is when we got there. They didn’t have it out to us until after 9:20. When we opened the box it was missing the sausage again, so we took it back up and they said they would add it, after 15-20 more minutes we got the pizza back, it was now cold but we had a tiny side of sausage fit for one or two slices(pictured above), how that took them over fifteen minutes I have no idea… very disappointed with these past experiences.

The pizza was delicious, as was the Texas goat cheese appetizer. This is a buzzy place - busy too! The staff were all friendly and made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back!

I recently visited Pie Society and had an exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly, making us feel welcome. The atmosphere was amazing, providing a comfortable and enjoyable dining environment. Service was impressively fast, which we appreciated. The prices were decent, offering good value for the quality of food served. Speaking of the food, the pizza was both visually appealing and absolutely delicious. My daughter had a meatball sandwich, which she thoroughly enjoyed. The pizzas we ordered were equally fantastic. Overall, Pie Society exceeded our expectations in every way. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great pizza and excellent customer service.

My second visit to this on campus pizza joint. Great aesthetic and selection of food and beverages. Good service. I'm a native New Yorker, so I'm very picky with pizza. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. My only gripe would be the tomato sauce was a bit bland. I think that could be the AGE of my taste buds, though. LOL

The pies were outstanding. I have missed real Northeast Pizza but this takes its place. The standard peperoni is as greasy and delicious as it should be, and the Garden of Eden were crave able delights of perfectly cooked veggies with depth of flavor. Only complaint was that while we sat outside a few of the tables were not bused and there were birds all over the table next to us. When the picnic table was bused the table was never wiped clean. Inside had a cool vibe. Hang out at the bar, or at a long table in a group or grab a slice and enjoy the energy of everyone there.

Happy to say I finally found the best pizza in San Marcos. Sorry to say it took a few years. I’d love to see better beer selections on tap as quantity on hand. Some nice IPA’s from CO, OR would make this place an easy 5 for me. Only having Texas beer is sad.

Our favorite pizza spot. We literally travel the entire lower 48 for work and this is our number one choice. Our favorite is the enlightenment and the kiddos can’t get enough of the pepperoni. Garlic knots and Cesar salad are our favorite pre pizza items. The crust is delightful, the toppings are fresh, and the cheese is good quality. We did have a situation when they forgot one of our pizzas. They realized their mistake, personally apologized, got it out to us quickly, and comped our next round from the bar. They made it right and we appreciated the sincerity of their apology. The food is great and the atmosphere is fun. Highly recommend.

I recently had my birthday at Pie Society. We had a great time! The staff was helpful and accommodating, the food was delicious and the beer was cold and satisfying! We had the El Diablo pizza which was sweet and spicy at the same time which was a delectable contrast. We also had the Peary Mason which tasted like childhood memories and angel tears. Overall wonderful experience. Will definitely return!
