New Japanese Restaurant Neighborhood Sushi Opens on South Congress | Eater Austin

"The South Congress address had previously been home to Liberty Pie & Catering, a pizza shop run by MMH partner Larry McGuire’s mentor Lou Lambert and the place where McGuire himself worked about 20 years ago." - Nadia Chaudhury

Purchased three pies (lemon, Dutch apple, pecan) which were all delicious! Brought them to a barbecue/picnic and the lovely woman was kind enough to put the lemon pie on ice for me so it would be perfect after a long drive. They were so kind to call to check on the pickup time. Highly recommend to anyone in the area!

My first visit to Pie Time was a delightful experience overall! It’s a nice little shop with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The young blonde girl working there was incredibly nice and friendly, which really added to the positive vibe. The pie I chose was absolutely delicious, and I could tell it was made with high-quality ingredients. The flavor was fantastic, and it was clear that a lot of care went into its creation. However, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. For its size, the pie seemed quite expensive. Also, the selection of individual slices was limited, which meant I had to purchase a whole pie. This pie was in the freezer, and there wasn't any indication of when it was made or how long it had been stored. Thankfully, the employee was very helpful and provided clear instructions on how to thaw it before eating, which was much appreciated. It would be even more convenient if those thawing instructions (and prepared date) were printed directly on a label on the pie's container. Despite these small issues, I would still recommend Pie Time. It’s a lovely spot to visit if you're willing to spend a bit more for a truly delicious, high-quality pie.

Cute little pie shop. Hard to identify the entrance. Limited selection for by the slice pie but the lady behind the counter was helpful. The apple was good but nothing out of the ordinary. Crust was flaky without too much shortening aftertaste in the mouth.

Cute little shop. This was my first time visiting. The only apple pie they had available was the Dutch Apple. I wasn't a fan of the topping. If I'm in the area again, I'll try a different pie because their ratings are descent. 9" pie was pricey.

Listen. I couldn't sleep last night because I wanted rhubarb crumble and the stars aligned today. I was driving and saw a sign that said "Pie" slammed the brakes, parked, and walked out with the rhubarb crumble pie. I'm enjoying it right now and I'm already concerned about how soon I'll be able to buy it again. I live in a two person household and I don't think this will last another 24hrs because it's so delicious.

The crust on every pie is beyond perfect deliciousness. We have enjoyed many different options, including cherry, coconut cream, chicken pot pie, broccoli and cheddar quiche, chocolate hand pies, mini key lime, pecan, Rice Krispie treats, and more! Each item has been packed with the freshest ingredients and the creativity in selecting flavors that are complementary to each of the boxes is always outstanding. The kindness and enthusiasm in getting my order just right is always evident when I place it. In person, on line or by phone, I am always treated like a friend. I have referred many others as well as gifted items that have been loved by all that receive them. The talent and care that go into baking and creating each dish is tasted in every bite. The service is fantastic as well. Place an order - you won’t regret it!

I bought a cherry pie today. It is fabulous! The crust is so flaky and we can really taste the almond flavoring. Best cherry pie I think I’ve ever had. My husband loved it just as much.

It's a cute little shop just off Liberty Square. The service was pleasant, and the selections were good. We ended up with a chicken pot pie, a broccoli and cheddar quiche, and a desert sample box. We are currently devouring the chicken pot pie. The crust is flaky and light, the carrots are fresh. I think you get the point and I need another slice. We will be back!!!

Yelp
my initial review was full of compliments. shocked by the response from the owner so many months later. She told me what I should do before purchasing a cookie. Well what she needs to do is check her reviews more frequently than every six months. I'm always shocked when Owners respond this way. Business must be very good and for that I am happy for her. like I said so many positive reviews out there give this place a try. Finally, try this novel approach, post your prices. This could have been avoided if you just did business 101.

Yelp
Oh my, I ordered quiche as a Welcome Home lunch. It was so tender and the crust was so light, I will definitely be ordering again. I also I tend to order a butterscotch pie, which are very hard to find. Pie Time will use whipped cream or meringue on top. Also, their rice crispy treats and cookies are fabulous. Try them.

Yelp
I can't believe this place has been around for a bit and we didn't know it existed. It's a cute little shop and the owner was super nice! I highly recommend getting her sampler package of what she has made that day... so far everything we've had from it has been really delicious and it was more than reasonable. She made these wonderful mini hand pies, blackberry and lemon. Her pie crust is flaky and super tasty! It also included a thin chocolate cake, and cinnamon pecans, and both of these we're really yummy too. Even though the selection is small, it's of really good quality. We will definitely be back! You should definitely check this place out.
