Good selection of unique truffles. I bought the strawberry balsamic chocolate and it was good, though I couldn’t taste much strawberry flavor (heavier flavor profile towards dark chocolate and balsamic). Staff did not seem very friendly or helpful, but we got what we ordered just fine.

Stepping into Piece love Chocolate is a truly delightful escape! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with cute, quiet vibes that make it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a treat. And oh, the treats! I can honestly say their Caramel Mocha is hands down the best I have ever had. It’s perfectly balanced, not too sweet, with that wonderful rich caramel flavor dancing with the coffee. I've been searching for a mocha this good for ages, and I've finally found it. Beyond the incredible drinks, I also had the pleasure of attending their macaron class, and it was a fantastic experience. It was well-taught, fun, and left me feeling like a macaron master (or at least, well on my way!). The staff guiding the class were patient and lovely, making the whole time a joy. This place is more than just a bakery; it's a sweet little haven. Whether you're looking for an incredible coffee, a quiet place to unwind, or a fun and engaging class, you won't be disappointed. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Cannot thank you guys enough for this cake! It was a wonderful surprise for my newly engaged friend, and the chocolate vanilla bean cake was incredible. Could not have asked for a more perfect cake!

I was attending a bachelorette party that would have a chocolate charcuterie board, so I googled chocolate store between Estes Park and Golden, whered I'd be staying. I wouldn't say I ordered too much because you can never have enough, but I did order quite a bit. They were so patient with me as I made all the important truffle making decisions. BTW I highly recommend the pistachio eclair.

The love and care Piece Love and Chocolate put into everything they do is felt as soon as you walk in the door. As you walk in, you are hit with incredible smells and the ambience is cozy and cute. There are a variety of options and often I struggle deciding what to get because everything looks and smells amazing. The staff there are always willing to give suggestions and are friendly. For cakes, I am obsessed with their Salted Caramel Truffle Torte. The first time I had a slice, I went in the next day to get another. The caramel mousse is incredible and pairs perfectly with the delicious chocolate cake. I love it so much that it was my birthday cake and it got rave reviews from all of my friends. One friend said "When I die, bury me with this cake." Another said "I don't like chocolate cake but this is incredible." Another friend ended up purchasing that cake for our Galentine's Day party after having a slice. If you're ever in Boulder, you have to go here and try it.

Google
We had a really fun event here and they put out all kinds of different flavored chocolates, including hot pepper chocolate that made my tongue burn. For those of you who like the heat, you’ll love it. They also put out basil and cherry chocolates that were flavorful and delightful, as the basil tasted just like eating fresh basil, and the cherry as well, fresh cherry. They took us on a tour in the back where they make the chocolates. It’s a very intimate, colorful and unique setting that feels good to spend time in.

Had an amazing experience taking a private group class here! Nick taught our group how to make eclairs, cream puffs, and mousse. He truly took his time with us and made sure that we understood each step, the end result was so delicious and we had plenty to take home with us! All the staff members were welcoming and the store has a great selection of drinks and desserts. Thank you for a lovely time.

Google
All the desserts and chocolate truffles looked great. We tried Tiramisu, which was amazing, and Pistachio Eclair, which didn't really excite me, even though I love pistachio desserts. The atmosphere of the store was nice, and the service was very pleasant. The prices are higher, but that probably won't surprise you in downtown Boulder. Yeah, try it!

Yelp
The decorations are so nice. I feel like I'm on a small island. They have really sweet and super chocolatey truffles. The barista/cashier was so nice and gave good suggestions for truffles. Very glad we stopped in

Yelp
We did an afternoon stop here for a treat and ended up sharing a pistachio eclair, which was truly yummy. They had a wide array of eclairs, cakes, tarts, and cookies to choose among, as well as what looked like hundreds of beautiful truffles. Counter service was nice and efficient, and there are a few tables inside and outside. This is a must-try if you're on the Pearl St. mall in Boulder,

Yelp
Excellent hot chocolate. Popped in here on Valentine's Day and they were all decked out for the holiday. It's a super cute shop away from the hustle and bustle of Pearl Street and it's easy to miss if you're not looking for it. Wall to wall chocolates, cakes, and unique treats. They offer gift wrapping which I saw some people taking advantage of for their holiday treats. There is seating both inside and outside, but we opted to get our hot chocolates to go and walk along Pearl Street. My husband got the milk chocolate and I tried the white chocolate chai. His hot chocolate was tasty and mine was super unique and unlike anything I've tried before. We didn't get to try any of the sweets, but I will 100% be back especially for the sipping chocolate and iced hot chocolate. A really cute date spot.

Yelp
Service was amazing! You can't go wrong if you feel like having a warm rich chocolate. I personally had the milk chocolate and it was not as rich as the dark chocolate. It has a relaxing atmosphere, smell of chocolate as you enter. Must see and visit when you're in town.

Yelp
This place is absolutely amazing! My husband comes here multiple times per year to buy me chocolate and I absolutely love the handmade, beautiful pieces he brings home. The staff is warm and welcoming and I always have an amazing time. I highly recommend the sipping chocolate too!!! Thank you so much for your amazing business

Yelp
My wife and I were very excited to come in after hearing about this being recommended to us. We love the great variety of gluten free treats. We indulged in the chocolate drinks and had the gluten free brownie! It was so dense and fudgy, really hit the spot. I wish I could come back, hopefully I'll be back to Boulder soon!

Yelp
This place is a treat. I can't imagine anything from here being anything but amazing. My husband and I occasionally come here to buy chocolates and other desserts (he's a big fan of their tiramisu) and occasionally coffee. It's just always spectacular. The staff is great, the small establishment is attractive and welcoming, and parking is pretty easy in this area due to the many lots. I want to take some of their classes, but I haven't managed it yet. I will report back when I do.

Yelp
The cutest chocolate shop with the best desserts! We love the unique truffle designs, pastries and cakes!

Yelp
Delectable chocolates. This is heaven for chocolate lovers. They have more variety of chocolates than I can imagine. Ask the staff for recommendations. Each piece is not large but the flavor is great. They also have cakes and beverages here. Cute place to sit, rest, and enjoy a nice time with friends.

Yelp
My favorite place to get some yummy chocolate! Great selection and friendly staff. We have driven over 30 minutes just to satisfy the craving

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! I would live here and be happy! They have beautiful display of chocolates and pastries and cakes and desserts! The hardest part is deciding what to get because they all look amazing and are calling my name! Tried a sample of their mesmerizing cakes - very decadent, yet not too heave/sweet, LOVED them all! The only reason I'm taking one star off is because the cakes/desserts packed quite a punch of booze! Personally the boozy taste was bit too overpowering/overwhelming and bitter for my liking. If you like your booze, then this place would make you the happiest person on earth!

Yelp
My coworkers and I recently participated in a macaron baking class taught by Nick and it was amazing! It was such a fun experience learning about the science behind the baking and actually making these ourselves. A number of us don't bake (I do) and a couple hadn't even tried a macaron before! But Nick was such a great instructor that all of our macarons turned out delicious. Nick first demonstrated and went through the recipe with us (printed out and given to us to take home) and gave us tips before letting us go off on our own to bake. Nick helped us throughout the process and made sure to pump up the music to amp us up while baking. After our cookies were resting and baking, we had a short break before learning how to make the buttercream filling. In the midst of it we were also lucky enough to sample some chocolate and learn a little bit about that (from the owner; not part of the class, but just an added bonus). There were 8 of us total plus the batch that Nick demoed, so we divided up the macarons and had a whole boxful to take home. I made blood orange macarons (my favorite) and we also had vanilla, caramel, strawberry, raspberry, chocolate, lemon, passion fruit, and pistachio. I do think everything turned out so well because their ingredients are just so good. Their caramel is melt in your mouth and I could eat that by the spoonfuls if I could. My macarons actually made it home with me to San Diego (on the plane in a big pie sized box in my carry-on no less) and actually are still good almost a week later (recommend freezing if you aren't going to eat right away). Piece, Love and Chocolate also has amazing truffles, pastries, and drinks. This cute store has so many different goodies and you really can't go wrong with anything. I had the white salted caramel truffle and I highly recommend it! The champagne truffle is also really good. I definitely recommend Piece, Love and Chocolate to satisfy your sweet tooth but also cannot say enough about the class. The staff were all so friendly and made it a great experience for us. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town!

Yelp
Some of the best drinking chocolate you will ever have! One cup in the world seems perfect. they're creativity goes beyond these cups. Their chocolates are also amazing. Make great gifts and are worth the stop.

Yelp
I had the Whisky Chocolate Mousse Cake. Liquor is soaked into the cake so expect a punch. I like the flavor but not so much the texture. The "mousse" had a rubbery consistency. I am guessing to retain its shape. The selections do look enticing. At $11 a slice I wanted a more satisfying bite. No tables, just bar stool counters.

Yelp
Overall: Impressive quality in such a small, unassuming place. Excited to try more pastries on future visits. Chocolate truffles: Smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture. Offers variety of flavor - some regular and some seasonal/limited. Pastries/Cake: It seems they emphasize real, punchy flavors and not just pure sugary sweetness. Example 1: Whiskey Business mousse cake is exactly what it advertises. It is super boozy and bitter if that's what you're into. I can't have more than 1-2 bites and prefer more bite-sized but my friends ate the whole thing. Example 2: The coffee shines in the tiramisu. The bitterness balances the richness from the creaminess and sweetness. So far, the tiramisu is a standout for me. The tiramisu's exterior lady fingers have a delicately thin carmelization - it gives it a subtle crispness in the texture. It's forking incredible. Example 3: I hate eclairs (usually dislike the overall textures and flavor) but I do like pistachios. The filling in the pistachio eclair was a true flavor, not too heavy and dense, and with a good mousse/choux ratio. The choux was light and airy. They showed me there is an existing eclair I enjoy. Drinks: Only had the hot chocolate so far. This is not drinking chocolate. It's regular hot chocolate, meaning smooth and creamy. They give you a couple of milk choices. I'd say if you want a solid hot chocolate option in the area, come here. Service: Quick and friendly even when there's a line. Price: Reasonable. It looks pricey initially but after you taste, you get it. Ambiance: Limited seating. Not a place to hang out for hours. Extra: Baking classes available! Unfortunately, not for the tiramisu, which is not surprising. It's so good, I would keep it as a guarded secret too.

Yelp
There is nowhere else like it in the state, and if you love all things chocolate, or you know someone who does, take them there. They even have glass cacao pods hanging from the ceiling. What more could you ask for ?

Yelp
A quality chocolate shop at the end of Boulder's main street pedestrian mall. They had an abundance of drinkable forms of chocolate that looked nice, as well as some splendid-looking cake, but I wanted something that would survive being packed in a carry-on, so I ended up with some cookies and chocolates which made the trip and received favorable reactions upon their arrival. The triple chocolate cookie I ate for myself was delicious (I could tell that the cookie batter itself and the chips were chocolate; don't know what the third element was). Their truffles were on the expensive side but the things I got weren't too much for how good they were.

Yelp
Favorite spot to take visitors and shop for goodies to send friends and fam afar! The sipping chocolate on an autumn morning is lovely. Def worth checking out if you're on or around Pearl Street.

Yelp
Sadly for this review I have no pictures to do this place justice other than the front of the building. What happens when chocolate is in front of you? Well...we certainly don't stop for a picture we devour that delicious piece of chocolate! The final stop of our scavenger hunt picnic brought us to some chocolate and cookies. Let me emphasize this was our cheat day from a 5 week IF plan we had been in so what a way to go. I picked a chocolate chocolate chip cookie with a yummy salted Carmel truffle. My husband had a simple chocolate chip cookie, his favorite, and...ok this was funny. He decided to close his eyes to pick his chocolate truffle, why!? Bad idea babe. Now some people like vegan chocolate and I'm not taking that away, but I knew the min he landed in a vegan chocolate of sorts he was going to hate it. My hubby is...he has specific tastes . We also purchased 3 macaroons for the kiddos and were on our way. What a great little place! I'm for sure coming back here for more!! I need more CHOCOLATE!!

Yelp
Makes you want to bathe in chocolate. We literally turned around and went back because locals eating outside recommended it to us as we passed. Best chocolate desserts that I've ever had, and the service was really friendly and helpful. Very cute small town and small chocolate shop vibe, but the quality is amazing. If you love chocolate you're going to love this place!
google avatar

Yelp
Best chocolates in Boulder! Wonderful selection and such delicious products! I love the international selection of imported chocolates! The cakes and pastries are also so good not to mention the sipping chocolate. Especially the spicy one. Come for the cute atmosphere and to look at cute and delicious smelling treats. Stay for the fresh and delicious products!

Yelp
Wow! This place is a chocolate lover's dream. And if you don't want chocolate there's many other options to satisfy your sweet tooth. The Bee Mine tart was delicious! The lemon filling and honey cream cheese mousse were paired perfectly in the black cacao crust! (And it looks like a work of art.) It wasn't too sweet or too heavy. You can't go wrong with any of the choices at Piece, Love & Chocolate!
google avatar

Sarah W.

Yelp
I get desserts here every week. They make the most delicious cakes and cookies in Colorado!
google avatar

Hillary S.

Yelp
Sooooo amazing!!! I had exceptional service and my chocolates were superb. I tried the pistachio ricotta tart while I was there, it was amazing but I'd recommend sharing, i was stuffed afterwards! I also got an assortment of truffles to go. The truffles here are beautiful works of art. There are almost too many flavors to choose from! Definitely stop down here if you're in the area, I highly recommend It if you have even a little sweet tooth!

Yelp
Stopped in for some chocolate and a coffee. Experience was far less than successful. Granted, it was snowing pretty heavily and it was 8:30 but the sign said OPEN. Cake was amazing unfortunately it came with a side of incredibly rude service when we were told that they had already shut down the espresso machine for the night so they could get closed. It definitely felt like the associate would rather be doing almost anything but helping a customer. Disappointing.

Yelp
Such a lovely chocolate store/cafe and I am probably too spoiled to only give it 3 stars but there is no excuse in serving your desserts completely frozen (especially at this price point). Tiramisu was indeed delicious but, once again, it was taken out of the case and served to us completely frozen. The same for the chocolate mousse bomb, it was more of a chocolate ice cream. Apparently everything in that case was frozen, which would have been fine if we were warned about it but it was an unpleasant surprise. I ended up taking mine home (as I almost broke the fork trying to eat it), and it was much better served from a refrigerator, not a freezer... I did mention this to a nice gentleman who worked there, and he said that it definitely shouldn't be like that and it was probably something wrong with a cooler case but didn't seem to address our concern or do anything about it... A chocolate mouse in a cute glass bottle that I took home was not tasty. All the handcrafted chocolates looked lovely but, honestly, nothing unique or special at that price point. Overall, it's an awesome place to satisfy your sweet tooth but I probably won't be coming back.

Yelp
This cute little shop has a special little place in my heart. Located toward the West End of Pearl St! When walking in it almost feels like a forest? might not be the best description, but thats how it looks almost. My favorite part (and next time I go I will take a picture) is there rotating cake case!! The truffles will catch your eyes! If they don't I will be amazed because they are BEAUTIFUL! Whoever is behind these designs deserve a high five and pat on the back. I just also want to commend the flavor choices, they are different and bold. Be adventurous! 1. Passion Fruit Truffle: it has the best tropical passion fruit flavor I've ever had in Boulder. It is DELICIOUS and definitely my favorite. 2. Mango Chile: is delicious, doesn't have as much kick as I thought it would be! Maybe another time I try it, it will have a bigger chile kick, but it is a truffle! 3. Raspberry Ganache: this one is a traditional raspberry and has a great flavor. It truly feels extremely smooth and decadent! 4. Salted Carmel: it has such a beautiful, sweet caramel in the middle and the salt on top was the perfect balance. 5. Cherry Pie: this was probably my least favorite, if I have to choose, it was a pretty regular like cherry flavoring. 6. ADVENTUROUS Must try: Pineapple Jalepeño!!!: this definitely had the kick I was looking for in the Mango Chile, and I definitely felt it a little more, it quickly became one of my favorites! SIPPING CHOCOLATE: definitely a must try when coming. My fiancé and I had the 4oz and it was definitely a great sample size and sweetness.

Yelp
The tiramisu is back and the espresso machine is finally fixed after a month long wait!! Also got to try the passion fruit mousse bomb and the whiskey chocolate cake. Highly recommend both!
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious desserts, a chill atmosphere, and friendly employees. Everything we had was VERY good. There's a bunch more here I'd like to try, and will be back next time I'm in Bolder.

Yelp
For my nieces birthday I bought six different slices of cake. It was a big hit. Everybody was excited to taste the variety and each one was nothing short of excellent everybody had a different favorite! It was way more exciting than buying a whole Bithday cake -- I'm so glad I there. High quality and exciting flavors!
google avatar

Mary P.

Yelp
Holy macaron it's finally a decent macaron in Denver area! And they're in the shape of hearts which is just adorbs. I also purchased a bar of passion fruit infused single origin chocolate after being well informed on the makings and origin of this from a friendly staff member. They don't do a lot of dark bars but they have a great selection of specialty truffles. I dropped a bit too much dollars here on these chocolates but every one is worth it so far. I'd recommend getting a box and indulging. The only problem I'm having now is that I don't remember what some of these truffles are flavored with so I'm getting a pleasant surprise in my mouth with each choice I've made in the past. It's hard to eat them because they're actually little works of art but my fat self gets over that real quickly.
google avatar

Gil S.

Yelp
There are some great desserts here and I would love to try the chocolate but for me the prices are just too high. I totally get that quality comes with a price and whoever is ok with the prices will get some quality products for sure.

Rebekah F.

Yelp
I had the Icy Hot Chocolate and I've been thinking about it ever since. I ordered mine spicy with oat milk and the flavor was phenomenal. This is a seasonal menu item so plan accordingly!

Yelp
Very cool spot with awesome staff. We enjoyed coffee and some rich chocolate desserts one afternoon. It's very crowded in here but we were lucky to grab a couple of stools for half an hour.
google avatar

Yelp
There are a lot of mediocre to barely-warrant-the-name macarons being peddled out there so I'm sometimes wary of shelling out (no pun intended) the $1- $4 dollars that one cookie typically goes for only be disappointed. Thankfully, the macarons from Piece, Love and Chocolate restored my faith. I tried the London Fog and Pistachio flavors and the London Fog kinda blew my mind. It tasted *just* like the drink but with the added textural delight of a good macaron. Delicately crisp, chewy, fresh creamy filling. I went back before leaving Pearl Street and got two more macarons, Tiramisu and Champagne, which I've yet to try but trust will be just as delicious, along with a bhakti chai tea latte which was also better than average. Lightly sweet and tasted of real spicy tea vs the dulled down flavor profile of a syrup. Looking forward to trying their hot chocolate and other confections next time I'm in Boulder.

Yelp
I ordered a Yule Log Cake from them and it was delicious! For 6 people, they recommended a medium which ended up being perfect. This sumptuous dessert is great for the Holidays; it's a chocolate base with a caramel mousse, so tasty! I also love the fact that the staff is always very friendly and professional, taking the time to answer my questions. They needed just a couple days notice to make the cake and voilà!
google avatar

Ben W.

Yelp
The sipping chocolate could have been richer and thicker. Making it spicy added in these chunks of spice that were not well mixed. The peanut butter cookie was very good. I would go back and get the sipping chocolate dark chocolate and try that.
google avatar

Mike K.

Yelp
Got there at 5:45. Waited around till 5:55 while the cashier helped another guest. Two other employees just walked by us. The cashier finally came over and told us they close at 6 and she is not going to help us. Thanks for making us stand around for 10 minutes before you told us.
google avatar

Yelp
The Chocolate here is beautiful and delicious and the drink bar is great! Hot chocolate is so good, I definitely would like a mug right now. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Lastly, the shop is adorable and on the quiet end of Pearl so you can sit outside and enjoy a little peace with your treats

Yelp
I wish I could move this place to Dallas. Such a cute spot! I LOVEEEEEE THIS PLACE! Such delicious chocolates and sweets. The white chocolate chai tea was delicious. Exceptional service as well!

Yelp
Perfect place for a treat and coffee! We loved the atmosphere and the ladies behind the counter were so helpful and kind! Next time we are in Colorado we will definitely stop in again!

Yelp
Piece, Love and Chocolate is an adorable little chocolate shop, packed to the brim with all things chocolate to treat yo' self or to give as a gorgeous hostess gift. Yesterday was a particularly chilly day in Boulder, so I decided to drop by to warm myself up with some rich, decadent sipping chocolate. The sipping chocolate comes in a variety of delicious-sounding flavors, such as honey lavender and chili spice. While those are two flavors I plan on trying one day, I ended up choosing the salted caramel one at the recommendation of the employee who was helping me. For first-timers, I would suggest the 4oz size, due to its richness and the sheer amount of sugar. (I was on a scary sugar high for a good couple of hours after this.) I also couldn't resist the heart-shaped French macarons. My first exposure to this place was when my husband surprised me with a chocolate tiramisu from here for Valentine's Day, which we both enjoyed very much. There is also an assortment of beautiful, albeit beyond expensive, truffles that would make the perfect gifts if you're looking to impress.
google avatar

Charlotte D.

Yelp
In my world, chocolate is love. And this shop was the definition of that. They have a big selection of craft truffles and even collaborated with local shops, breweries and wineries. For example, I purchased a Savannah Bee honey truffle (the honey store is right up the street from this shop). Yum! They also make craft hot chocolate and various lattes. Perfect on a cold day like today. There's no question, just go!
google avatar

Souzana V.

Yelp
What another wonderful trip here. I came here to get some chocolates and macaroons for my beau's birthday and some chocolate liquor for friends to ring in the new year tomorrow at dinner. I just love this place because the chocolates are always different, elegant, and delicious. The hand crafted chocolates are so beautifully put that it makes for such a beautiful and sweet gift for all sorts of occasions. They have other goodies there too. This time I picked some macaroons too and hope that I can try them if my beau is not stingy and shares. Lol I'm sure it's going to taste absolutely delicious.

Adriana L.

Yelp
Amazing service and wonderful homemade products! I ordered some birthday treats for a friend and they were so kind and helpful.

Yelp
Visited Piece, Love and Chocolate on a Sunday around 12pm. The place is tiny with few chairs. It is self service when you bus your dishes if you opt to eat inside. There was many great options to choose from but we went with the chocolate chip cookie sandwich which included chocolate mousse as well. The texture was excellent given the cookie was soft and didn't feel like a brick. The taste was good but nothing special. It is huge so I recommend sharing it. Here is my rating: Chocolate chip cookie with chocolate mousse: 8/10

Yelp
The staff always chooses the truffles for me and they never disappoint! Great customer service and they talk to you and really make you feel welcome :)

Yelp
My husband and I were out and about wandering around the Pearl St Mall and saw this cute little shop. I had to go in because I have SUCH a big sweet tooth. There prices are a little high but that is expected when everything is made from scratch with quality ingredients. I ordered their Chocolate Triple Threat cake, it was the last one! I ate it right up, it was DELICIOUS. They also offer coffee and other drinks, but there desserts are to die for. I would highly recommend to anyone who loves there chocolate. There is only a few places to sit, so it tends to get crowded kind of quick depending on the time of day you go. But overall a very cute place with lots of good choices!
google avatar

Yelp
Expensive! But uniquely unique! Apparently they have hit chocolate! Next time!! Just try it!

Yelp
Picture this: you are searching for parking in a cute part of town and you pull into a stall directly in front of a shop that looks like it's out of a movie. Ivy and flowers cover the facade and quaint tables straddle the front door. I made a mental note that after lunch I'd come back and check out what it could be. Just as I thought that, the person I was meeting walked up and nodded toward the shop and told me that after lunch we need to come back and have the best chocolate ever. After lunch, we returned to the chocolate shop. You're hit with a beautiful aroma when you enter the door and visual stimulation at every angle. The tiny chocolate works of art at the counter caught my eye. With little regard to flavor (although I was later very pleased as I ate them one by one) I started choosing which ones to take home in my box of twelve. The lovely lady behind the counter was helpful and friendly as I made my selections. If I had not had to catch a plane, I would have lingered longer in this little corner of heaven. If nothing else, I now have something to look forward to when I come back to Boulder. I hope it's very soon!
