Where to Order a Birthday Cake in Portland, Oregon | Eater Portland

"Piece of Cake is a Sellwood institution, featuring a huge variety of vegan and gluten-free options (including tofu cheesecakes!) as well as more traditional options. Cake aficionados can partake in a slice or cupcake, but the bakery shines in the custom decorations and specialty cakes for pre-order. Flavors include chocolate raspberry buttercream, marionberry poppyseed, and the popular Fantasy Cake, a cheesecake-chocolate cake combo. Call to place an order." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

Google
We ordered some late night cake from uber eats - so first off it gets extra points for being one of the rare dessert places open late. Most of the cakes themselves were good but a little on the dryer side. However if I would’ve only ordered the cake that was cheesecake + brownie it would have gotten a 5 - that one was INCREDIBLE. All in all, good option for late night delivery and go for the cheesecake cake.

First off I want to say this whole experience is based off me ordering through doordash. I have not actually been to this business just ordered from it. When the driver handed me the two boxes, I asked him if this was everything I ordered. He looked at me weird said yes and drove off. I asked because I ordered 6 items and could not figure out how all of it could fit in these two small boxes. Unfortunately it did all fit, it was just not as described. Id like to point out I am aware that doordash obviously has higher prices. But with the description and the higher price we were led to believe we were getting something different. We got 3 "Jumbo" cupcakes for 6.95 each. 2 peanut butter brownies at 3.75 each and a oatmeal butter scotch cookie wedge for 1.85 dollars a piece. Cupcakes- Overall they tasted good. But what was disappointing is that the picture made them look like they were very large. They appeared to be the size of the old Costco muffins and they are titled as Jumbo cupcakes. They were normal size cupcakes. Half of which were frosting. Which I didn't mind a lot of frosting, but my wife did not like it at all. She thought it was way too much and not balanced. Here is how each cupcake was: Red velvet jumbo cupcake- Rich flavor, chocolate chips on top/ in the middle, then a thick layer the cream cheese frosting. It was delicious. This was the one I got. I thought it was great, just as previously mentioned it was way smaller than expected and a ton of frosting. Carrot cake Jumbo cupcake- we both thought it was good tasting, but weird chunks in it that aren't listed anywhere what they are. It said no raisins and no nuts but we were not sure what the chunks were...apples maybe. Plain Jane Jumbo cupcake- kid loved it, ate more of this, then he normally eats of a typical cupcake. Chocolate peanut butter joy brownie- this was the size of two small adult fingers. Again not what I expected. It also was just a basic okay brownie with a decent peanut butter frosting. It was fine. As for the cookie...we'll we haven't tried it yet, after the other disappointments. But again, it was very small. Someone took a smaller sized standard cookie and then cut it into quarters. This is one of those quarters. So essentially nothing felt like it was worth the massively overpriced items we got. Look, if it was described and pictured acurately and I paid half the price, this review would be much different. With that said, I Would absolutely not go here again unless the prices were cut in half. It is highly unlikely doordash was that much higher in price.

I’m so grateful Marilyn accommodated a short-notice request for my baby shower. I ordered 3 different kinds of jumbo cupcakes and a 9” Fantasy cake (cheesecake/cake hybrid). I requested a custom bear decoration that totally exceeded expectation. I was absolutely charmed. All of my guests loved the cake but top of the list was the Fantasy Cake and the vegan carrot cake. My personal favorite was the white chocolate raspberry almond. It wasn’t cheap, but it was worth it to us. When I went to pick up my order, I was pleased to see two women working behind the counter, they were helpful and also stoked about my bears. I would have liked to meet Marilyn too since she was so personable. The shop isn’t a posh west-side boutique, which may be what some folks are looking for. But it is a real down to earth neighborhood joint that feels like the Portland I hear people waxing nostalgic for. If you’re reconsidering your order based on other reviews, I definitely recommend going in and trying any of the many varieties they have ready to order to see if it’s for you. If you’re used to driving (and parking) in Portland, you won’t have a hard time navigating this area. If you don’t like parallel parking, just take a deep breath- you can do it.

We ordered 120 cupcakes from Piece of Cake Bakery for our wedding and couldn't have been happier with the outcome! Marilyn (owner) worked with us over months to get the exact design and colors we envisioned. She is detail oriented, thoughtful, and kind. And of course the cupcakes were delicious--moist, flavorful, and expertly decorated. Highly recommend if you have a event in Portland coming up!

My husband picked up my birthday cake here yesterday- it was $80 for a 2 layer 6” carrot cake with a super dry bottom layer, and did not even have cereal cheese frosting. I’m horrified that he spent this much for a not very good cake. The second layer was more moist, but overall this cake was not good and ridiculously expensive. There is no way they should be charging $80 for a 6” cake unless the taste and presentation warrant it, which definitely- this cake did not. Frankly, they should be embarrassed by the quality of this cake for that cost.

We have loved Piece of Cake over the years, many great memories of our kids enjoying treats here. So when my daughter was getting married we knew it had to come from Piece of Cake! Marilyn was very kind and wonderful to work with. She was patient with placing our order, helping us put together exactly what my daughter wanted. Thank you!

Google
Rude. Overpriced. Photo attached to show size of what they served us as a $12 slice... I said hello when. Walked in. I was ignored. It was my daughter's bday so we went in for cake slices. It was close to closing time and there was one 3XL cake slice left. My Birthday girl wanted it. The price was $12 for the cake slicee. The size was ok but seemed overpriced when compared to Gerry Franks Condeteri. Then this is where I was very surprised. The boy took the cake slice which was clearly the last slice and put it on the counter, took off the plastic dividers and cut a section of the slice off!!!!!!! He had returned the section he cut off the birth day girls slice to a nearly hidden section of the display case instead of where it came from. When I addressed it. He had the to audacity to tell me that it was a separate slice! So all I can surmise is that he wanted to save a section for himself to eat once they closed. The quality of the cake is good. But I likely won't be returning due to this experience.

Google
I had high hopes for this cake, as it was described as the “best cake I’ll ever have” when I ordered it. I was disappointed that this cake did not taste fresh and it cost $125 for a single layer lemon coconut cake. I was shocked at the cost, but held out for taste. The flavors were nice, but again, not worth $125! I felt a bit jipped at the cost.

Yelp
Even though I live out of state, they helped me by writing a personalized message on a box of (the world's best) chantilly cupcakes to be delivered for Mother's Day

Yelp
We drive past a Piece of Cake nearly every day, and our son is obsessed with finding "Buzz in the window". (The Buzz Lightyear figurine proudly displayed among many others in the shops distinctive windows.) Well a couple of times poor Buzz has fallen down, or been moved for one reason or another and the lovely shop managers always make sure he is returned to his place, visible from the road. We are so grateful and hearing my little guys voice in the backseat shouting "I see Buzz!" really makes me glad we have such a wonderful shop in our community. To infinity and beyond! Thank you. :)

Yelp
Delicioussssss bakery!! I've tried multiple items and have loved every single one. The fact they have gluten and dairy free options (that actually taste good!) is awesome. ET as the door greeter is a highlight.

Yelp
Shout out to Marilyn and the team who were able to make a beautiful cake to my grandma when I just ordered it a night before. Marilyn is really supportive and kind, the cake is lovely. My grandma would take tons of photos with it. The cake has 3 fillings of raspberry yum!

Faith C.

Yelp
We have used this bakery before and have never been disappointed. Yes, the cakes are expensive by Portland standards, but compared to what we would pay in LA for a comparable custom-designed cake using the highest quality ingredients and factoring in time, labor and creativity, it was a bargain. This time my husband wanted to order a very special triple-birthday cake to celebrate our grandson's 7th birthday, a family friend's birthday and mine here in Portland where we are part-time residents. He is very particular and knows I am a chocoholic, but have I have trouble with cakes, because I am lactose-intolerant and most cakes are made with loads of butter and cream. Marilyn, the owner, spent almost an hour on the phone with my husband explaining and suggesting all the options for the design, fillings, flavors, and frostings, all dairy-free. He settled on chocolate frosting and vanilla frosting, a combo of 4 tiers of red velvet and chocoalte cake with chocolate ganache fillings. Diane, the cake designer, baked and beautifully decorated an absolutely fabulous creation. She created a true work of art. The cake was ready for inspection when my husband picked it up and then placed in a beautiful box for transport. The cake was a huge hit. Everyone at the party "oohed and ahhed" over the presentation and the flavor and there wasn't a crumb left. If you ever need a special cake for a special occasion, I would highly recommend Piece of Cake for creativiity, service and quality.
google avatar

Rebecca S.

Yelp
This is our "special occasion" cake place. The Fantasy cake is the best; but we also love the s'mores cupcake. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Richard M.

Yelp
Purchased the small cake $75. First, $75 for a small cake. My expectations for how this was going to taste was high, unfortunately this only led to great disappointment. The cake didn't have much flavor, it didn't have any real taste, it was only moist because of the amount of fat in the mix. It left a thick coat of fat in our mouths. The icing had no real flavor. It was just sugar. Every one only took one bite and then pushed it away. The overall consensus was that it isn't worth the calories. The sheet cake from Costco would have been much better. The lady helping us was very helpful and our dog loved the dog treat we got him.

Yelp
Even though they don't have a lot of variety in cake slices I'd been wanting to try this place. They have a few that looked good, but ultimately we went with the poppyseed raspberry and espresso. They were both decent cakes - definitely nowhere near the best I've ever had. The raspberry had a nice tartness, but I didn't really get an espresso flavor out of the other, although the frosting was creamy and delicious. I have to say I was really surprised how small they both were. I was expecting taller slices based on the pics and number of layers, but they were also very thin for the price. You can get way bigger and more decadent for less money. That's kind of why I didn't even bother with the cake that had cheesecake. You can't compete with Cheesecake Factory with that sad offering so I can't see why they bother. My take is that it's okay, nothing special, and overpriced.

Maria G.

Yelp
I love this place so much! Cake is my favorite food group and they have never disappointed! Special thanks to the grooms cake ordered for my wedding. I feel like it was short notice and in the middle of wedding season and they delivered exactly what I wanted. ** my now husband loves to fish and I wanted a grooms cake like one from my favorite now classic movie. So cute and in one of my favorite flavors. Thank you so much!! They have always delivered beautiful and delicious cakes for my family.

Yelp
You know how sometimes you just want reliable good service with a edible product that is just superior to what other people are offering? That's this place. It's been many years I have come here because it always calls me back like a siren on the shores ensuring me nothing has changed and yes this is the cake I am looking for. I may stray every once in a while just to see what others are offering. They always leave me wanting more. This is where you go when you know. It's the gold standard with a cherry on top. Never leave me Piece of cake. You're my only hope for delicious baked goods
google avatar

Yelp
I hope everyone reads this and takes it seriously. I have zero idea why there are good reviews on here.... Maybe it's because the woman who takes custom orders over the phone tell you to make reviews for her before you've even seen the product? I dunno. But I will say that I just paid $116 for 19 MINI cupcakes (and when I say mini, I mean they are one small bite each). And one extremely small square mini brownie. The lady did tell me they were small, but I had no idea HOW SMALL (I still can't believe they are almost $5 each). These are vegan and nut free and I asked for green frosting and an assortment of flavors for the cupcakes. I was hoping these would taste extremely delicious and be worth it (potentially?) when I justified the price. But they are basic. These are for my sons preschool (he's turning TWO) and I just paid $116 for cupcakes. I also had to buy my own toppers for $8 to put on the cupcakes myself. I feel swindled and I will not only never go there again but I will be telling everyone I know that they are ridiculous and that there are far better options in Portland. I feel like I got ripped off by a car salesman and the customer service when I picked up the cakes was just eh. I asked them why my cupcakes were so expensive and she said that they were considered "custom" cupcakes. I seriously could have walked into Whole Foods and grabbed two or three boxes of "vegan" cupcakes and added the toppers I bought and the cupcakes would have tasted better and have been bigger as well as a hell of a lot cheaper. Never ever again - I don't know how this company stays in business. Please listen to these bad reviews before ordering or stepping foot in here.

Yelp
Their vegan carrot cake is the best carrot cake on the planet. Driving down to get my birthday slice momentarily. Cannot wait!

Mahdad R.

Yelp
So grateful to this bakery. I live in Los Angeles and wanted to send my mom a birthday cake last minute. The flowers I was sending got cancelled last minute and I really wanted her to have a cake with my dad and their friends tonight. So I took my chances and called. They could not have been nicer and more warm with me and help me get this delivered to them. Literally 2 hours before - Marylin the owner herself, took my call and said she will get it there asap. And they did. My mom can't have gluten and so she made a really yummy gluten free red velvet cake with cream cheese icing. They wrote a personal message design and a card from my partner and I to her. I'm so grateful ! Thank you so much Marilyn and team for getting this cake there today and making my mom's birthday that much more special !!! Highly recommended

Yelp
Shrinkflation is real. We ordered two cookie slices and two brownies on Postmates and the box they came in was comically small. Upon opening it, we see the cookie slices were in fact from a regular size cookie that had been cut into quarters. Why not sell a whole cookie? Also, it was incredibly stale and sickly sweet. The brownie was stale but slightly more enjoyable, but it was only half a brownie. What's up with the portion sizes?

Portia I.

Yelp
The best bakery and so accommodating. I ordered a cake for my daughter's birthday but we were unable to arrive to pickup the cake due to traffic issues (train). They arranged it to be dropped off and saved the day, so appreciative. Everyone commented how delicious the cake was, so much so, that my mother who lives on the east coast is trying to arrange shipping of their cupcakes.

Yelp
Marilyn and the team at Piece of Cake are fabulous! Marilyn helped me select cupcakes for my friend's Baby Shower, and I was a thousand miles away in California. Marilyn offered photos, consulted on flavors, and styles, and helped me save on delivery! The cupcakes were a hit, delicious and beautiful. I'll work with Marily again in a heartbeat!

Julius N.

Yelp
I ordered last Friday, Jan 26 the Cupcake Special Munchie Box where it says on the menu 8 pcs cupcakes of your choice. Surprisingly, the box delivered to us has only 6 pcs of cupcakes.

Coco I.

Yelp
Marilyn the owner is one of kind! She's super nice to help your idea come into reality. She comes out of her she'll just to help you and make your fantasy cake come into reality! I asked her help to come up w a cake idea of a nun wearing garden apron and wheelbarrow. She walked me through the process of securing all the necessary items for the cake. Late nights call and text going back and forth. Which I won't believe can be found in any bakery. Regret of not meeting her in person but nevertheless I believe I can still have the chance of meeting her in person on day. She makes the best cake in the world! The Nuns were blown away of her cakes. The taste was amazing and the craftsmanship were exquisite! 10/10 for Marilyn and for her bakery! Highly recommended! I dnt think any bakery in Portland can come closer to her excellency! Bravo Marilyn!!! The Nun cake was a well done!

Yelp
I accidentally contacted Piece of Cake in Portland instead of Peace of Cake in Stevensville, Md. Fortunately the folks at Piece of Cake replied to the email I sent to let me know I reached the wrong business. I am so grateful for their kindness. I hope you try Piece of Cake- they are wonderful people to work with. Thank you again. tegan Baumann

Yelp
We enjoy the assortment of cake slices made by Piece of Cake when shopping at New Seasons. However, we've been buying their delectable gluten-free assortments since our daughter was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2004. When in a time crunch, you can count on Marilyn coming to the rescue for a birthday cake!

K C.

Yelp
My boyfriend brought me a slice of the red velvet cake. It had buttercream frosting, not the usual cream cheese frosting. The cake was dense and too moist, almost like it was underbaked. Both the cake and frosting were disgustingly sweet. I took two bites, he tried one and we tossed the rest. What a waste. How it got the "best cake in Portland" label is fraudulent. There's nothing good about this cake. Outrageously expensive and too sweet to be edible.

Allison H.

Yelp
This bakery is a community staple! My family stops by for every cake-worthy occasion from birthdays to a random Tuesday. the quality and flavor are unparalleled and amazingly consistent. I cannot recommend the Chantilly chocolate cupcake enough... It's a showstopper!

Yelp
IT IS SOOOO GOOD! I am disappointed to see anything less than 5 stars here. This is hands down the best bakery in the greater portland area. The fantasy fudge cake and the carrot cupcake connect me to the divine...
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
You must go out of your way to try this place and judge for yourself. This is a cupcake and cake lovers paradise, with vegan options. The service is warm and friendly, and the owner always engages with us. They use all whole ingredients, no short cuts at all. They typically have at a minimum 10 cakes you can buy by the slice (not sure why a prior reviewer complained about lack of variety by slice); don't compare them to a place like Cheesecake Factory (unless your preference is for more mass produced); and yes, prices overall in Portland are higher and Piece of Cake Bakery's prices are comparable. But I guess some just won't be happy because we all have preferences. We love this place!

Yelp
Wow! Amazing Artistry! Fabulous Bakery! The custom birthday cake was so beautiful and so yummy! The cake was more spectacular than the photos I sent - so over joyed! My mother-in-law and all the guests loved her birthday cake. To my surprise the peach on top was also a cake - YUMMY! This is such a wonderful bakery! Love it!

Kimberly H.

Yelp
First off I loathe giving bad reviews. Drove by the business every day in the pink building seem tantalizing so I brought my family in. Staff seemed a little impatient and took orders from other people when we were already talking with them about what we were going to purchase. they have several small things available to purchase that are relatively priced. However their pies and cakes are through the roof at almost about $100 apiece! I totally understand the cost of products these days as well as the time consumed. But even with making a more natural approach cake with a great layer of frosting and a few decorations to boot I would never charge that much. purchased a couple of cupcakes, the batter tasted good and had a good flavor. Frosting tasted fake and had a terrible residue texture in the mouth. Building is apparently historical, however the place appeared to be needing a deep clean.

Yelp
Ambiance: much to be desired and kind of dirty and disorganized Service: woman was condescending to customers and not genuine or friendly Seemed bothered to be working Food: biggest let down. Had the promise of being so good! But sadly, had too much of a chemical sweetness, the cake part was not moist, and one bite I took had an odd egg-shell crunch to it ... Lastly the PRICE: way too pricey for what you get, $10,95 for a single slice of cake and $5.50 for a single small cupcake
google avatar

Arctura B.

Yelp
This place is insanely overpriced. You're basically paying $50 for a cheap box of cake mix. There's absolutely no way they make this in house. The photos are beautiful but you won't get what you see. Presentation is very lacking, flavor is artificial and vomit worthy, texture is dry. I've made cakes from box mix and it came out better. They also messed up our order and two items I ordered were not in the box. Don't expect quality here.

T X.

Yelp
Piece of cake is fantastic. They made a wonderful gluten free carrot cake for my wedding 5 years ago, and I go back almost every year for a small version of the same cake on my anniversary. The gluten free option is delicious, no one could tell it was gluten free! Thanks again to the owner and staff. Don't ever change!

Amy C.

Yelp
Marilyn as Piece of Cake takes the cake! She worked with me in great detail to get exactly what I wanted for my friend's baby shower - and worked with me on the price point. I admit I was a bit surprised at the costs, have not ordered a custom cake like this before. It was delicious and everyone loved it - mom-2-be felt very special. Only reason for 4 stars is the price point, but with food and labor costs doing what they're doing, I should not be surprised.
google avatar

Kelvin Y.

Yelp
Good Vegan cake options. Fast, friendly and efficient service. The vegan chocolate cake was good.

Yelp
The gluten free birthday cupcakes were delicious !!! 5 star !!! The owner's long distance help and service w5 star excellent.

Yelp
I cannot say enough kind words about this bakery. Last year I found their raspberry almond cake for my aunts birthday. And she LOVED it! I'm not sure how cause her stomach is so sensitive and she says it's the only cake she's ever had that didn't upset her stomach. So naturally this year I had to get some to her. However, since she lives 13 miles away (and I'm in another state) no food delivery app would travel that far. Marilyn, the super kind helpful owner, talked me through getting a Lyft (couldn't preschedule Uber) and would have had her delivery pets take it if Lyft wouldn't. Can you believe it? My aunt got her white almond raspberry cake Feliz cumpleaños Tía And thank you Marilyn and Piece of Cake!

Yelp
Marilynn worked with me to get the Percy cake my son wanted for his birthday. She gave me tons of options had great ideas and was super helpful. I called her panicked but was relived that she said she could have our cake done by my sons birthday. We placed the order 4 days before! Outstanding! Her vegan option made it easy to find something that i could enjoy with my son. For us our budget was smaller than we wished but we ytold her what we had and she worked with us every step of the way. My sons's birthday was super special! Thank you everyone at piece of cake for your tasty works of art!

Yelp
I am in Oregon all the way from the Midwest and wanted to try Oregon's award winning " Best Cake in Portland". All I can say is Yuck! What type of bakery operates without using the oven. Who serves 5 day old cup cakes! That's disgusting! Very disappointed! It's sad when Target beats the cities Award Winning Cup Cakes!

Lily V.

Yelp
This place is absolutely incredible!!! My sister and I were trying to locate a local spot that delivered, decent price range and could create a heart cake for our Dad to celebrate the anniversary of his heart surgery. My sister and I both live in LA but our Dad lives in SE Portland. We were born and raised there. Anyways, I reached out to the bakery because after browsing their website I spotted a cake in which they made that was an anatomical heart which I thought was so cool and would be perfect for our Dad. Marilyn was immediately incredibly helpful, responded to my inquiry, spoke to me on the phone, sent me examples of images they could print onto a cake. I was able to pick the flavor, colors, print, platter, every detail. She answered all of my questions over the phone, was just all around so on top of the service! I will definitely use them again in the near future! I always try to support local smaller businesses in my hometown whenever possible, so I was so happy to find them! Also, my dad's first language is Spanish and they were so accommodating and were even able to write the message in Spanish which was a huge win and super sweet. We really appreciated all their kindness and help. This place is 10/10 by far! Take a look at the beautiful cake they made for our dad! It was so special and meaningful for our family! Thank you piece of cake bakery and thank you Marilyn!!! We love you!!

Yelp
I can't speak to the service or ambiance since we had these cupcakes at a wedding but OMG the best cupcakes I have ever had and they were vegan! Yummmm! When we come back up to Portland, we will stop in to try more yummy treats!

Yelp
My Portland family recently celebrated a 3 person birthday. I reached out to A Piece of Cake to deliver a vegan birthday cake. The owner was so personable and made every effort to create and deliver a beautiful birthday message to my family. Thank you very much. LaJuana Bryan

Yelp
TLDR: Pricey but delicious by the slice cake and baked goods. I wouldn't know they were gluten and dairy free! The whole cakes are a bit on the pricey side so I went for single slices of each flavor and each of their bars (because if I was going the spend the money, I wanted to hit all my tastebuds) and boy did I love each one! They really do deserve their award of "Best Cake in Portland"! I recommend all flavors but I personally am partial to the fruity ones. :)

Nick C.

Yelp
The absolute best bakery in town! These folks are the kindest, best bakers I've ever met. I came to them with a very specific idea for my daughter's birthday. See picture :) They went above and beyond to the point where the cake outshined her presents. The cake was delicious and gorgeous. I spent nearly 30 mins. on the phone with the owner because she wanted to make sure I got exactly what I was looking for. I did and more! I will come here for years to come and tell everyone I can that this is the absolute best bakery in town!!!

Thank you for your kindness and helping me get exactly what was needed! In gratitude Melissa Jackson

Yelp
This business is fantastic! Marilyn took a last minute order for a birthday cake for my son, and delivered it before the storm arrived. Truly amazing customer service, very helpful, generous and considerate - she called after the delivery to confirm it happened! I recommend Piece of Cake, and my son claims the bday cake is delicious too. Thanks for getting the job done, you made it all so easy for me.

Yelp
No one was eager to help. One lady could not even work the card machine, lost a large order. Second lady could work the card machine, by this time I was completely frustrated. I will not be going back. NO Piece of Cake Bakery.

Wonderful owners bakers and wonderful cakes. Baby shower cake, pound cake with preserves so good!

Yelp
Ok, I have to be real... I'm super disappointed. I didn't have a whole lot to go off of from the website as I was ordering a wiener cake for my best friends bachelorette, but from the non naughty cakes on the website I felt okay about my decision to go in blind. Complaint number 1.... the cake was $200. It was TINY... yes it fed 10 dieting females on a lake vacation where we are all wearing bikinis, but for that much money I had expectations. Number 2... I honestly feel like there was not a whole lot of art involved in this and I regret not trying to make it myself. I'm a scrappy DIY person so I guess it's my own fault for not trying. Is it too much to pay for a cake that doesn't look homemade? Number 3... there's no GD writing. The person I talked to ASKED me if I wanted a funny saying on it. I said YES and she asked what color, so I said PURPLE... do you see purple writing anywhere near that phallus? Now for some positives... the cake was the right flavor and it was pretty tasty, I was very pleased with the frosting as it was not overly sweet. The staff was very friendly. Also, I thought it was unique that it stuck straight up, the bride thought that was great, she was as happy even if it was a cannoli. My low rating is mostly based on me feeling like this was not worth what I paid, not even close.

Walked in, saw prices and walked out . Highest prices I've seen at a bakery and that includes SF and Chicago. These are not artisan pastries. This is basic cakes and cupcakes... hippy mom and pop shop. Basic cake $95 Tiny slice basic cake $11 Peace out

Yelp
Marilyn is a true artist and so talented. When we called the request was very specific and unusual. She was so up for it. I called five other bakeries and didn't have any success with this project. She made us custom Gucci Cupcakes. They were amazing. It was such a pleasure working with her. Lorraine

Yelp
Marilyn was able to make a custom birthday cake with less than a week's notice. She was creative with her suggestions and prompt with her responses, texts, and phone calls. When I called the day before the party saying I had just gotten more guests coming, she added a variety of extra cupcakes to my order. The cake was delicious and lovely. There were no leftover cake and most of the cupcakes were eaten. Excellent professional service. Highly recommend this bakery!

Yelp
Decided to order here on a whim from DoorDash. Their cheesecake is delicious but the cake could be a little more moist. As far as pricing, it's a little expensive but cake slices anywhere seem to be running high. Overall, I would order from here again to give it another try.

Yelp
Just called about a pie, thought I heard her say $92, for a 9" pie? Holy! Don't care how good it might be
