Piedra came highly recommended by a Peruvian friend, and somehow it still exceeded expectations! Everything was 10/10 from the quality of fish to the flavors to the service. The 9 course menu (8 fish, 1 dessert) plus 3 drinks ended up being around $100 - a lot for lunch but well worth it. I loved the Asian influence in some of the dishes (ponzu sauces, lychee leche de Tigre) and the attention to detail with finishing touches like special oils or salts. I especially loved the sashimi of two temperatures - one side raw, one side broiled at the table - that I was told to eat in one bite. The tiradito was the best I’ve had, and aside from the fish dishes, the house pisco sour that was a little spicy as well as the flan-esque dessert were both divine. The service was also spot on - attentive but not overly formal - and I appreciated the servers patience with me when I asked him to repeat things or speak more slowly because my Spanish is far from perfect. Overall, can’t recommend enough!
