Pier 21

Really nice decor, and a very cosy atmosphere. The food was good, but I found that the table setup was uncomfortable. Unrelated tables were really close together, and our table was twice as wide as it was long - this meant there was little space for our plates in front of us, but way too much space on both sides. Our server, Amy, was very nice, but it seemed like she was left to manage too many tables at once, which caused us to wait a while. I'd like to visit again.

That was actually the best dining experience I've had in recent memory, hands down. We walked in with our two kids. The waitress was amazing, funny, generous with the kids and knowledgeable about the foods. The atmosphere was wonderful. The prices were very reasonable for the food we ordered. The food was absolutely delicious as well. I would go out of my way to go back without a question.

Our night was made so special by the fun-loving and attentive **Vanessa**, who was our main server and gave us her full attention all evening. Later, we were also warmly welcomed by the manager, **Megan**, which added an extra personal touch to the night. The food was spectacular! We had the **pickerel** and **chicken souvlaki** as our mains, and both were perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The kitchen didn’t hold back—especially on the feta cheese in the salads, which were generous and flavorful. The attention to detail was impressive, from the perfectly hot plates to the *creme brulee*, which was silky smooth and absolutely divine. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and we felt so well taken care of the entire night. This was truly the perfect spot to celebrate our first year of love together, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you, Pier 21, for making our evening unforgettable!

Fantastic food! Roast beef dinner NOT like mom used to make (which is a good thing, lol); meat so tender it cut like butter! Loved Vanessa,, she made our meal so much fun! Highly recommend!

First time visiting this very peaceful dining at the Pier 21. A hidden Jen on the main street. We loved the atmosphere. Felt like I was on vacation. The menu was great. Our waitress amazing and friendly. I could go on but this place checked off all the boxes. Highly recommend it. Celebrated my birthday with my husband. Couldn’t have enjoyed another place. Thank you for the experience. 🤓

Pier 21 catered our wedding reception dinner. It was phenomenal, from the planning to the execution, food and even providing the cake. They accommodated our dietary needs and our table decor requests. Our waitress was outstanding and made the experience even better. Everything was perfect - thank you!!

Awesome food with a historic setting! My wife and I came here for lunch and we weren't disappointed! Pier 21 is a national historic site in Halifax, which was a gateway for thousands of immigrants coming to Canada. I believe the owner's family arrived in Canada at Pier 21, and this restaurant is a tribute to that legacy. The restaurant is very cozy and is also a museum to Pier 21. The service was very friendly and prompt. With regards to the food, what we ate was awesome! I ordered their Canadian Maple Bacon burger with deep fried pickles, both were cooked to perfection! My wife had their Beef Dip sandwich, which was also very tasty. They also have a bar and make their own wine, which comes from Niagara. This restaurant is conveniently located on Main St. I'll definitely be coming back.

Excellent service,nice ambiance, good for a nice meal out or casual with family. Enjoyed the Pickerel and Souvlaki.
