The 36 Essential Indianapolis Restaurants

"The best lobster roll in Indy can be found at Pier 48, thanks to the fresh seafood flown in daily and the expertise of East Coaster chef Matthew Ace. The New York native knows how to make traditional Buffalo wings too, which are just as good as any cut of seafood on the menu. The beautiful establishment is in the heart of downtown, right across the street from Bankers Life Fieldhouse. You can enjoy salmon, monkfish, shrimp, and steak, but save room for some of the best lobster mac and cheese in the city and vegetables seasoned so well even kids will eat them. Also check out the weekly specials, based on what has been flown into town." - Mike Gillis

We stopped by this lively eatery for a few drinks before heading to a Fever game, and it hit the mark perfectly. The sidewalk terrace offers great people-watching and a fun, energetic atmosphere—especially with TVs showing the latest sports action. While we didn’t order food this time around, everything coming out of the kitchen looked absolutely delicious—fresh dishes and beautifully plated salad that definitely caught our eye for next time. The drink menu features some creative and fun cocktails, along with a solid selection of beer and wine. Service was super friendly and welcoming, making it easy to relax and enjoy the pre-game buzz. Whether you're in the mood for a meal or just grabbing a round with friends, this is a great spot to kick off your night. We’ll definitely be back to try the food!

Google
Lobster roll and clam chowder was amazing! I actually went back a second time in the same day. Khirston, Jakin, and Annika are all amazing!! Fried green tomatoes with lump crab was really good.

Went to the ISO last night & didn't get out until about 10:15.. not super late, but the majority of restaurants downtown close at 10pm. With only a handful of places to choose from, that stayed open until 11, we ended up at Pier 48. I remembered someone in a foodie group saying they had good lobster rolls so I figured we'd roll the dice.. & I'm glad we did. Everything we ordered was good & I saw enough interesting looking dishes, on the menu, that we're gonna have to go back.. next time we'll try to make it in before they're getting ready to close... 😎

Google
Food was pretty good. Scallops were better then the mahi-mahi. The New England clamps chowder was a great starter. Unfortunately they forgot to bring out our crab beignets. I was really looking forward to those. Would recommend reservations anytime there is a sporting event or concerts at either Lucas or the Field house

Google
Food was good. Tried all three types of deviled eggs they offered for an appetizer. The holiday drinks were not the greatest. Service was good. Waitress did a good job giving recommendations. Table did start getting full when dirty dishes and glasses sat on the table without being taken. Bread pudding was pretty good but could have been better heated up.

Wow! I reserve 5-star reviews for amazing places that actually "wow" me during my visit, and Pier 48 delivered! Of course the food is amazing. Best clam chowder I've eaten in a LONG time, unbelievable lobster roll, delicious crab cake sliders, and very tasty scallops. This got them to 4-stars. the 5th star was Asia, our server. She brought an energy to our table that I have not seen in a restaurant in a very long time. Excited, perky, friendly, offering many options, welcoming our weird "exceptions", answering every question with positivity and accuracy, checked-in on us at exactly the right times but not over doing it, the list just keeps going. Truthfully, I'm coming back here BECAUSE of Asia, not necessarily the food - which of course was terrific. But lots of places have terrific food, but no other place has Asia. Oh, the cost was on the mark too - what you'd expect for a very nice seafood spot, but not ridiculously expensive where I'm questioning every choice. It was on the money, pun intended. Finally, if you're the manager / owner reading this, Asia needs a raise. You think your chef is bringing customers in - and that may get them in the door the first time, and that may put me in a good mood to start with. But keeping me happy, making me smile, AND wanting to come back again and again - is all Asia.

Google
Very down to earth spot. Very enviable real estate right across the street from Gainbridge Field House. Service was very quick and attentive. Our server, Jennifer, was amazing and attentive and even had the bar make a Hot Toddy for my wife who had a bit of an irritated throat from allergies. Large portions and great flavors from the Bleu Cheese and Balsamic on the Wedge salad to the Diavala sauce for the Calamari. Excellent Clam Chowder! Great Lobster Roll!

First time in, flew in from CA for the Eras Tour Concert. Server, Kay O. was great, attended us "swiftly"! Suggested some dishes that did not disappoint. We will be back!

Yelp
Quick service early in the day. Our waiter was attentive and nice. Ambiance is low lighting and popular music. It's at the Hyatt house across the pacers arena. Food: Clam chowder 5 stars. And I'm from Seattle, so that's saying something. Bbq wings. 4 stars. (Kid rating. She couldn't tell me what would make it a 5) Mac and cheese. 4 stars. (Kid rating) Truffle fries. 5 stars. (Kid rating. He likes how crunchy it was) Fish tacos. 3 stars. (Kid rating) too spicy. Fish tacos 5 stars (adult rating. He tried the kids tacos and hers were spicier than his, same meal)

Yelp
Great service. We'll come back for the wings. Right next to the stadium. Amazing chicken wings 10/10!

Yelp
Yum! So many things I loved at Pier 48! Calamari was delicious, but it is spicier in my kids' opinion. Fine, more for me! Fried green tomatoes with crab: such a cool way to elevate tomatoes! I thought they were seasoned well and the crab was delicious! It came with a hollandaise sauce as well. I'm not a fan of any hollandaise so I won't give my opinion, but I was happy they allowed me to put it on the side. King poa salmon: the glaze and flavor on the salmon and veggies was amazing! Love that they use cashews instead of peanuts as well. I'd love for the rice to be an egg fried rice as I believe it was plain rice. Apple pie: if recommend to those loving flaky tops versus a crumble topping Kids meals were $8 and well portioned! My daughter had a Mac and cheese and full side item.

Yelp
I've been wanting oysters Rockefeller for a while so I decided to check this place out for lunch! Service- there is a sign that says wait to be seated but I stood at the door for a bit so I walked over to the bar and was able to figure out seating. It took a while for the food to come out so that could stand some improvement in my opinion. The server was pleasant, helpful and patient. Food- I ordered oyster Rockefeller and roasted Brussel sprouts, oysters were fresh, well seasoned and cooked well! The Brussels were perfectly roasted and also well seasoned. I will return!!!!

Yelp
Ate here a couple of months ago with high hopes based on what I had read about their focus on East Coast seafood when it first launched. Disappointing, OK but not great. Pretty ordinary menu, basically bar food. Not during a Pacer game, so it was pretty empty. Staff was OK, but nothing exceptional here either. Don't believe downtown will miss it much. Not a fan of leaving such reviews, but this is what I experienced.
google avatar

Yelp
The fried green tomatoes were amazing. They are deep fried tomatoes covered in crab and a delicious sauce. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND trying it. The next dish that I tried was the Kung Pao Chicken. It had a great taste and very filling. Lastly, I tried the Apple Pie. It was a slice of Apple pie with a scoop of ice cream with whipped cream. It wasn't bad.

Yelp
Had a great meal today here. Ordered the lobster nachos and it was made to perfection. Large clumps of lobster, perfect amount of cheese and fresh jalapeños made the taste amazingly flavorful. The server was great and it was a great lunch before the games. I recommend ordering this next time you stop in. Even though it was on the appetizer menu it was enough that I could barely finish it and I was full. The ambiance was chill for a rainy day and place was clean and enjoyable. Thanks Pier48!

Yelp
My daughter and I came in for lunch today in celebration of my birthday. We were seated right away by our server, Taylor, who welcomed us warmly and explained the specials. Unfortunately, the Tuesday Surf & Turf special was unavailable. Taylor explained that even the vendor, Cisco, was out of the necessary ingredients for them to reorder them. There were only a couple of other tables occupied, and there was a nice, chill vibe for our lunch. We had the fried calamari for starters and I also ordered a blueberry lemon drop spritz. I was told that it would taste mostly like champagne, but it was actually pretty vodka-heavy. The fried calamari with the boom boom sauce was delicious, but the fra diavolo sauce wasn't as described. We were told that it was a spicy cocktail sauce, so we imagined something like the St. Elmos's cocktail sauce. What it turned out to be was a slightly spicy marinara... not the same thing, at all. For our mains, I ordered the Bourbon-glazed salmon with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. I can't tell you where the Bourbon came in because the salmon was drowned in sweet chili sauce. I should've ordered that on the side. My daughter ordered the 1/2 lb whole live lobster with Brussels sprouts and parmesan truffle fries. She said that the fries tasted burnt, so she didn't eat them or take them with her. In contrast, she felt that the sprouts weren't crispy enough! I enjoyed them. All in all, the service was great and so was the atmosphere. I'll definitively return to try the boom boom shrimp, hot lobster roll and candied pork belly!

Yelp
3rd time here & the chargrilled oysters is what brought me back! Had no idea that they validate parking for utilizing the Hyatt garage, this is BIG because you know with being across the street from Gainbridge, parking is scarce. It makes me so sad to walk into an establishment only to see maybe two other occupied tables. It has been like this every time I've come & it's always on a weekend at different times, so I'm truly confused. The food is full of flavor & great quality so you know you'll spend a pretty penny if you love to eat and drink like I do. The chargrilled oysters were so freaking good but noticeably smaller I mentioned it to my server & told him the flavor is undeniable but they're so small, as soon as you put it in your mouth the excitement is over. The manager came over to explain they can't dictate the size, which I understand but I almost think they would have been bigger if they weren't a tad overcooked and shrank. Anywho, my sidecar was good & I love that it was served in a martini glass as opposed to the coupe glass. The jumbo lump crab cakes are the closest in flavor & texture I can compare to what I've had in Maryland/DC All in all was a good experience, per usual.

Yelp
This restaurant was nice to do some downtown patio eating. Our server was very nice and made sure we were taken care of. There were food runners/other servers that weren't so pleasant but we brushed it off. The clam chowder was not what I expected. It tasted more like a cheesy potato soup than a New England clam chowder. Parking isn't the best if you do not valet your car. There was a valet option at check in. Not in any hurry to revisit the restaurant.
google avatar

Tim H.

Yelp
The food was ok, I got the bourbon salmon, but is pretty over priced for what you get. Service was ok too. Our appetizer never made it out. For the prices they charge I would just expect a bit more in terms of quality of food and service.

Yelp
This spot is ok. I wouldn't come here again. I feel like this spot doesn't really know what it wants to be or maybe I don't understand. I thought it was a kind of mid level upscaleish seafood restaurant but I'm not sure. There were big tv's blasting football with the sound coming from the speakers. It felt like I was in a sports bar. Maybe this is a sports seafood restaurant and I just don't know. The service was ok but not good. The sever couldn't figure out the hand held computer used to put in the orders. It wasn't easy to order and when things came out wrong it was weird. David definitely hasn't been trained in the service industry. We ordered 6 of every oyster they had in stock, these were good, but they didn't tell us which were which on the second tray, so that kinda sucked. I would have asked but our server didn't seem to have much together, I assumed it would be an ordeal. All night I was never given a plate so I ate my $200 in oysters over my dates plate "so romantic. If you're looking for that lady and the tramp vibe its strong here Overall the bill was $300 ish which is fine but it's not worth it for me.

Yelp
Great selection of oysters. It's across from Gainbridge. Parking is limited to the garage next door or a lot a block k away. A little inconvenient but worth the hassle.
google avatar

Lisa V.

Yelp
Allison and Annika were friendly, knowledgeable and masterful at making cocktails. We ate at the bar, had a burger and ahi slider, and both were delicious. The sweet and spicy margarita is a must! Great pre-game/pre-concert spot directly across from the sports arena and they validate parking! I recommend getting there btw. 4:30-5 before it gets pre-event packed!

Yelp
Great seafood spot in the downtown area. This spot has a large dinning room area, large corner street outdoor patio area and decent size bar. The soup of the day, chipotle chicken and vegetables, was really good. The Mahi Mahi sandwich came on a very fresh hamburger bun and was topped with corn/bean salad. The piece of fish was grilled perfectly. Service was good and everyone was very friendly. My food came out fast.

Yelp
Always great food and service.. once again.. the bartender Alison was awesome!! Took great care of us... she's a serious hard worker and keeper!!..I'm not one to write reviews about places... but this one is top notch

Yelp
Restaurant is right across the street from the basketball stadium of which the All-Star weekend took place. Decided to try it out as they had a great present on Instagram. As expected, there was a bit of a crowd due to the events happening. However, I got a single spot at the bar and made myself comfortable,. When I sat down, placing needed to be cleaned and wiped down, and there were three bartenders of which who did not do so readily. Once the area had been cleaned, it took a while for someone to come back and asked me what I needed. The mahi-mahi was a bit dry, and I was actually debating if I should have got the pepper tuna instead. As for the wedge salad, I definitely recommend this the side size. I loved the large blue cheese crumbles that were included on the salad. The bacon was also fresh and not store-bought bacon bits, it was real deal pork bacon. my only recommendation to the restaurant would be that if you have knowledge of a large event, occurring near, to have more staff on site and or you're all star performers. At one point, the bar was so chaotic, but unnecessarily.
google avatar

Michelle H.

Yelp
The drink, the oysters, and the desert were awesome. But the steak was really disappointing for $31. It was more medium or medium well than medium rare. The service was a bit disappointing as well. We didn't have any silverware until after we were done with the oysters so we had shells and oyster juice on our hands. The ambiance was quite nice though.

Barbara B.

Yelp
Food is amazing! Try the clam chowder, boom boom shrimp, crab, lobster rolls, etc, etc. I love this place.
google avatar

Yelp
We had other plans but had a somewhat picky eater with us. Popped in - busy time and no reservation. Got seated immediately. Very nice place, nice people. Now for the food. Wow! We had the chicken mac & cheese, southern fried chicken, and fish & chips. All spectacular!! Will stop by more often before Fever Games.

Yelp
Decent. This restaurant is located in a wonderful corner just beside Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Lots of natural lighting and an aquatic atmosphere. I went during a busy time there was a game going on and it was Devour Indy. Pier 48 was not prepared for this influx of customers. Service was initially slow and the servers were rushing around as if they were understaffed. I initially sat at the bar but the bartender was inattentive. I had to ask 3 times for a water refill. However once my party arrived and we were seated at a table the service was much better. Dan did a very nice job making sure we had a pleasant experience. Everything was well plated. Unfortunately our food came out cold and lacked flavor. We were informed upon arrival desserts were unavailable and we would be discounted due to this inconvenience. The manager quickly rectified the situation by independently checking in. She ensured we had fresh warm food and desserts (which had become available during the 2 hour visit).

Yelp
Always good service and always great food! All of the servers are nice and occasionally the chef and cooks will stop by to ask how you like the food....
google avatar

Yolanda M.

Yelp
I came last Friday before the New Edition concert. I did a reservation because I was sure that it would be busy since Pier 48 is right across from Gainbridge. We were about 15 min late for our reservation and expected to have to wait but we were immediately take to our table. The restaurant was busy busy but our service was still top notch as if we were the only people in the restaurant. I ordered the risotto and my friend got the filet. We also split the boom boom shrimp. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and were so good! I could have gotten an order or 2 of those by myself for dinner and been happy. The risotto was my servers recommendation and was so good. My friend enjoyed her filet so much that she barely at the seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes that came with it. The ambiance was very nice and I want to go back to enjoy the patio when the weather is right!

Yelp
Excellent service and food! Seafood inspired restaurant as you can tell by the name! Located inside the Hyatt House/Hyatt place in Downtown Indy! Nice atmosphere inside the restaurant! Shout out to Asia my server!! She was great and even got me a tonic water to go without me even asking plus some free vouchers!
google avatar

Carie L.

Yelp
We chose this restaurant due to proximity to the Hyatt and it's offer of a free cup of soup to Hyatt guests. The feel of the place was pleasant with lots of floor length windows. No annoying loud music, either. We took advantage of their Tu $2 off draft beer special. Our server, Annika, was great. Friendly, engaging, knowledgeable about her menu including the drinks. We took advantage of the draft beer special and ordered the local, "Metazoa Hoppopotamus" beer, which was delicious ( light and lightly citrusy) which I drank and hubby had the house margarita (supposed to be mine, but the OJ made it a little too sour for me, so we switched drinks.) Hubby ordered fish and chips (haddock). The fish was tasty, crispy and light. Fries were lightly dusted with seasoning and hot. The only downside was the cole slaw which arrived minced (hubby didn't like the texture.) I ordered the mahimahi sandwich with side of caesar salad. The fish tasted great but the bun didn't hold up to the weight of the fish, so I ended putting the fish on my salad. The caesar salad dressing was ok. (I love anchovies, so I would have liked a stronger flavor.) Overall, the food was much better than we expected. The feel of the place was nice and our friendly and knowledgable server, Annika, made the evening.

Yelp
Started off with Calamari very good and very fresh. Bourbon Salmon was amazing every bite was extremely tasty. The carrots was exquisite with an amazing sweet saucy. The potatoes were good but nothing too special. For my drink I had the pineapple margarita which was very good!!!
google avatar

Chris J.

Yelp
The food and service were amazing. We went for Devour Indy and absolutely enjoyed our experience.

Yelp
The name of this place cracks me up because there's no trace of water or a pier in the middle of Indianapolis. Once I got past that, everything about this place really impressed me! We had a reservation at prime time on a Saturday night, but we didn't really seem to need one because the place wasn't very busy. Cameron was our server and he was a delight to interact with throughout our visit - polite, friendly, efficient, well informed and accommodating to all of our needs. We started our dining with the crab beignets. I have never seen anything like this on a menu before and they were fabulous. We followed that with the warm spinach salad, which was delicious. My wife had the salmon entree and I had the shrimp scampi - we enjoyed both of these items. We wrapped up our meal with the key lime cake. It was very unique and the perfect finishing item to a very tasty meal!

Yelp
TL:DR - Decent oysters and ok drinks, skip the rest We stopped in because we had tickets to an event across the street, so it was convenient. It was still fairly early and it didn't seem to be very busy. We ordered a dozen oysters, salads and soup, and an entrée to share. I'm not quite sure what went sideways, but it kind of went downhill immediately. The good: When they finally arrived, the oysters were decent, as was the cocktail I had. The bad: It took a really long time for anything to arrive, and we got overcharged for food that was missing off our order when they corrected the oversight? Also, the food just wasn't good. The kitchen must have been having a really really REALLY bad day... but yikes. Underseasoned filet, unseasoned asparagus, lukewarm soup that tasted like the kroger brand consomme... uninspired, I'm afraid. Our salads and oysters came out finally, and then again a long lull before anything else. Our entrée arrived, sans extra plate, which isn't a crisis, but the asparagus was missing from the entrée (we had confirmed it was available when we ordered!), and no soup anywhere. We finally flagged down someone and explained we were missing several items. Eventually the soup came out, and then I guess we had asparagus for dessert because it was not until after we were done with the entrée that our vegetable arrived. Someone did apologize for the soup and offered to comp the soup, which was nice. (Also the soup was lukewarm and not very good... maybe because it got lost somewhere? Unclear...) We had mentioned to our server that we were missing the side of asparagus and I guess he was confused because he actually *added* a charge for it? We didn't realize until we left... but it's kind of salt in the wound. I wish they'd salted the food instead. ;)

Yelp
Oysters are AMAZING! The spicy margarita was on point!! Bar service was great! The price point was good
google avatar

Debra G.

Yelp
Loved it! Our server, Allyson, was perfect. Efficient, but not overwhelming and a touch of sarcasm thrown in. Our food was delicious and beautifully presented. We ordered clam chowder, grilled oysters, fish and chips and key lime pie. The key lime pie was good, but more like key lime cake. We will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
We had a great time at the Pier 48 Fish House & Oyster Bar's "Oyster Shucking Class". The event was held in their private dinning room with about with about 20 guests. It included: a flight of 3 wines, 3 small plates of new menu items, 3 small dessert treats, and, of course, 12 oysters to shuck. Everyone received their own shucking knife, to keep as a souvenir, and a protective glove, as well as expert instructions and assistance on how to shuck oysters. The food, wine, presentation, and service were outstanding. The fun was unbelievable! The staff all managed the event very well and made it interesting and educational. I will admit that being an Oyster Shucker will not be my dream job but I now have a whole new respect for those that can do it.
google avatar

Jeri W.

Yelp
Oysters were fantastic! Service was excellent and the drinks were as expected. Went early evening so it was not crowded and the atmosphere was pleasant. As time went on the crowds started coming but was still a great experience.
google avatar

Yelp
My family and I stayed at the hotel attached to this restaurant for a cheer competition. We arrived late in bad weather and didn't feel like looking around for a place to eat. We decided convenience was priority, and went into Pier 48. We're so glad we did! We truly would've happily eaten here for every meal all weekend. The food? Scrumptious. The bar? Delicious. The servers? Attentive and knowledgeable. This place does not miss. We're back in Tennessee now, and we're all still talking about it! We'll be back at the end of the year, and I know where we'll be eating!
google avatar

Emma B.

Yelp
Went in with a large group, most all big seafood eaters! Me, not so much. I went for the wagu and chicken sliders.... Not great. At all. Very dry and not very hot, along with the fries. I didn't finish it. Everyone else seemed to love their food. Drinks were great.
google avatar

Julie S.

Yelp
Sometimes restaurants lower the bar in food quality when you have such a great location to a venue (across from Gainbridge)but Pier 48 did not disappoint. The food and drinks were outstanding, something for everyone and great service. Server was very knowledgeable about foods containing gluten, including cross contamination and they had diverse offering for everyone from lobster to burgers. My cocktail was excellent. Will for sure be our go to dinner venue for concerts at Gainbridge .
google avatar

June F.

Yelp
We we not out on NKOTB concert night. Valley parking was $15 with restaurant validation up to 6 hours I think. Regular garage parking is $20 but didn't want to go through waiting on my car to get pulled. But good to know for this option. Food was limited for the concert night. I had a hot lobster roll sandwich and it was good. Service was pretty good considering how busy it was. Our waitress was attentive and patient.

Yelp
We booked here as it was one of the only places that we could reserve for a group of our size this past summer during a particularly busy time (Gen Con was in town)... and it was okay. Staff were reasonably helpful and the food was all right but nothing to write home about. Our kid slept through most of the meal and once awake ordered a very pricey cob of corn and enjoyed it. The table was very high as larger groups don't fit at their lower tables. The menu had limited gluten-free options and as I mentioned before the food for the rest of the group was fine but nothing to rave about. The beverage options were okay as well. Folks in our group found options to order but it wasn't ideal by any stretch. They didn't even seem busy so the slower service was a bit disappointing. Still they had space for our group and we had a decent meal.
google avatar

Andrea K.

Yelp
ATMOSPHERE: Big bar with lots of TV's and costal feel. You can tell it's new inside and it was very clean for our visit. SERVICE: The service is the biggest reason I'm giving Pier 48 3 stars. One of the weirdest servers I've had. We had someone with a balsamic vinaigrette allergy and he looked at her like she was crazy when she asked if there was any on the Brussel sprouts. When we were nearing the end of our meal it became obvious he was trying to rush us out the door. FOOD: The steak was okay, but we all really enjoyed the apps we got.
google avatar

Laquetta D.

Yelp
I like Pier 48, but was disappointed. I really wanted to like it more. Went here for my anniversary. Husband and I wanted to try something new and decided to check this place out-which is right across the street from the Pacers basketball stadium. We were greeted politely and promptly by the host at entry and our service was ok. Our waiter did an OK job with staying on top of things. I do feel bad he was the only server that night so I will grant him some mercy. He made a great recommendation and we enjoyed most of what we ordered per those recommendations. So looking back-this isn't a place I would go for their entrées. Their food was really bland and slightly over priced. We ordered a steak and just felt like the quality of steak was a little low for the price. It did come out over cooked and slightly burnt. There was no salt and it just wasn't a good steak. And the scallops that came were also burnt. So. It's too bad. Now on the flip side-the Appetizers were great! I looooved the crab bites. I'm from Maryland so I know what a good crab anything is supposed to taste like. I like the pepper jam that came with it, a really nice touch. Their wings were also good. SN: not a major deal just know that they charge you if you asked for different types of sauces to go with your wings. So If you're looking for a nice place to have a couple drinks and appetizers I would definitely recommend it. But if you're looking for a nice meal/entree-I'd go elsewhere.

Yelp
We have been coming here ever since they've opened but just now got to reviewing We, party of 2, went during devour on a Sunday night and it wasn't that busy so we got seated right away. We had reservations but I don't thing we needed one The appetizer was oysters we each for 3 pieces. I love the way they serve it with horseradish, the horseradish was good not to spicy For the main entrée I got salmon and my fiancé got the mini lobster roll both were good! I like my salmon a lot specially the sauce that came with it The dessert was a chocolate cookie pie with ice cream and that was delicious too The server was attentive and the ambiance was chill I'd recommend this place!!!

Yelp
Had a great dinner before the Colts game. We had filets which were very tender with a side wedge salad, very good and the balsamic glaze made it excellent! Busy night with all going on downtown and service was exceptional!

Yelp
Arrived to an empty restaurant with reservations, and was given a pretty subpar table had to ask for a better seat, which they fixed immediately Waiter was good and had suggestions for dinner, the restaurant is set up in an interesting way where everything looks at the bar, is this a sports bar or seafood restaurant, interesting. The food, ordered raw oysters great selection, got 3 of each kind, out of west coast oysters, others were good. Ordered the Surf and Turf, out of stock!! Settled for the lump crab cake dinner, pretty underwhelming, not many lumps and lacking any flavor, Brussels sprouts were good but overall just ehhhh. The spicy margarita was tasty. Overall an ok restaurant nothing blew me away.

Yelp
I had a group dinner at Pier 48 on July 16, 2024, and I am over the moon about the establishment's service and quality of food of food. Initially, became interested in holding an event there while dining there on a Saturday night in June 2024. I asked Taylor, my server in June 2024, about the party room and was permitted to tour it. Afterwards, I reached out to the Sales Manager, Jamie, who graciously accommodated all that I asked. Thank you, Jamie, for being so gracious and apt to make sure my needs were met. When I arrived on July 16th, the room was set up with round tables and other tables toward the entrance of the room for the servers to use as a station for water and other details associated with serving a party of 30 plus people. We were assigned 2.5 servers, the AMAZING Taylor and Jennifer, with assistance from Riley, the Assistant General Manager. It may seem like we were short on waitstaff, but I cannot exclaim how involved and attentive they were to everyone. No one waited unduly long to receive food, drinks flowed, and bills were paid and cashed out promptly. To top it all off, everyone's parking was validated - how great is it no one had to pay for parking in downtown Indy. Foodwise, I definitely recommend the calamari - some of the best I have ever had!!! Taylor remembered serving me in June and offered the same attentive service. Jennifer coordinated checks and kept me apprised of my balance - my deposit needing to be spent. The kitchen produced delectable plates that left no stomach empty or dissatisfied. The service, ambiance, quality of food was ABSOLUTELY sublime. I would recommend this place 1000X over to anyone looking for a relaxed and proper dining experience without pretention or lackluster positivity from staff.

Yelp
Food was great, service took a little long (probably waited for 45 minutes at the bar for food), but everything was warm, the bar tender kept us posted, and did well refilling our drinks. Great ambiance, perfect place to grab a beer and lobster roll if you have the time.

Yelp
I enjoyed this place! It's in walking distance to the arena and the customer service was great! I wouldn't recommend for large groups but it seems perfect for less than 8
