Pier 70 Bar & Restaurant

Cannot recommend Pier 70 enough! Ian and the team went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time. We ordered starters, mains and cocktails. Everything looked amazing and tasted delicious. The decor in the restaurant is beautiful. We started inside and then moved outside into the afternoon sun. It was a wonderful afternoon. We will be definitely coming back! Thanks so much Ian 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Pier 70 Bar and Restaurant For today we just came to this restaurant for a quick drink and i was just super impressed how friendly the bartender was to us. He was very kind and quick with service. The restaurant is a great location for breakfast lunch and dinner or even a quick drink with friends. It has a great view outside looking at the beautiful lake. This is a perfect place to dine at!

Amazing food. Very friendly Service as obviously something common in down under. Still impressed by it. Also a great view over the harbour. Big Plus for the main course 'butchers cut' prepared Medium. Thx for the great dinner and the nice people.

The seafood linguine was amazing and a winner with us. Lovely service, was able to cater for our large group of 16, very accommodating.

We had an amazing meal here, Ian and the staff were very kind and accommodating, highly recommend eating here if your visiting Paynesville you will not be disappointed 😊

Extremely disappointing. Beautiful location. Brusque staff. Waited 1.25 hrs for main meal. Started with garlic cheese bread - tastless. Mains were muscles and scollop/prawn linguine. Both were tasteless. The muscle broth was post seasoned with dried oregano! The linguini was oily and also post seasoned with dried herbs. No flavours were infused. Some fresh herbs with a sprig of parsly would have made such a difference. We had a glass each of good local read. The french fries were to die for! The price for this disappointment $135.47. UPDATE The owner reached out to me, refunded the meal and apologised for the experience. He validated my feedback and was genuinely contrite. Thank you!

Beautifully renovated restaurant along the water. Lovely views. Went for lunch on a Friday and it wasn't too busy. Food was served prompt and service was OK. The scotch fillet steak was a little bit cold when served. Seafood pasta would taste better with a little bit more seasoning.

I booked Pier70 during our holiday to Paynesville and it did not disappoint. We ordered Pimms Spritzes which were refreshing and lovely, with a hint of bitterness to balance the citrus of the drink. Perfect for a warm summer evening. For entrée we had the Coffin Bay Oysters with mignonette dressing. They were so fresh with a beautiful umami, salty, briny flavour. For main we had The Butcher’s Choice steak with seasonal vegetables cooked to medium perfection. The meat was so tender, seasoned well, and the produce was of excellent quality. To finish the meal, I had the affogato with Baileys dessert. It was smooth, creamy and delicious. A perfect meal. The atmosphere was cool and effortless with great views of the bay, and staff were very helpful and lovely to deal with. We will definitely be coming back here and recommending to friends and family.
