Yelp
Got to say that one review said it was a little expensive, but it is not, especially for the amount of food.
What we got: 2 cheeseburgers, 1 Jumbo BBQ sandwich, 1 pulled pork plate, 2 orders of hushpuppies, a piece of cornbread and 2 desserts; a brownie and the banana pudding.
According to my son-in-law and granddaughter, the burgers were delicious, the onion rings also. The baked beans gotten as a side on the plate were enjoyed (I tried but the weinie slices put me off, flavor is very good though), potato salad was thought to have a little too much mustard. The BBQ sauce is just okay, but I'm from Eastern NC and greatly prefer a more vinergary sauce. Just our preference. The hushpuppies were very good, but I should have never gotten 2 orders! The cornbread is a tiny loaf and we all tried that. I know it would be even better hot with butter. Fries that were with the dinner (nice surprise) managed to stay crisp on the drive back to the Historic Powatan Resort, amazingly so, since they had to pick up Micky D's for the two youngest children.
Desserts, skip the brownie, but the banana pudding was delicious. I mean almost as good as somebody's mama or grandma made, but topped with whipped cream, and not Cool Whip, but tasted like real whipped cream, with banana slices, yummy.
We would definitely eat there again, which is really all anybody needs to know.
Yes, even with that not Eastern NC sauce. When we're traveling, we want to try different, as long as it's good.
'nana puddin', I'm coming for you.
