I heard so much stories about this place, especially the one in Williamsburg. So I decided to give it a try. The service was quite nice. Nothing to fancy. I ordered the chicken and waffles. I received my food, and it looked really good until I started to eat. The waffles were cold and the chicken wasn't cooked all the way. The only good thing was the blueberries. Also, the french fries are way too small for $5. Not worth it. I honestly could of made better chicken and fries. I'll try the other spot, next time.

So so very good. The fried chicken was so tender and juicy, and the skin was crunchy to perfection. The mac and cheese was decadent comfort food. The baked beans were savory and cozy. The lemon chess pie was a lemon tart in pie form, with a lot of whipped cream on top. Definitely go. The place has a nice old school charm, and the food isn't kidding around.

This small but homey outlet of the famous Pies 'n Thighs in Williamsburg has the benefit of being walking distance from my apartment. We arrived at 2pm on a Saturday, and there was a wait for tables so we sat at the counter near the food prep area. The food is rib-sticking soul food, full of salt, fat, and yummy goodness. The biscuits (made with lard, of course) manage to be flaky and yet weigh a ton all at the same time. I ate the entire thing! Hubby and I chose breakfast. His over easy eggs were perfect, as was my well-done scramble. The house made pork sausage was spicy and yummy. Note that even the sweet tea is hibiscus, so if you don't love hibiscus tea you are SOL on that. My $8 mimosa was large enough that I only needed one, and the OJ was fresh squeezed. We saw all manner of food going out that looked fabulous. We will be back for the fluffy pancakes and fried chicken! The best part? With tip brunch for two, with drinks and tip, was under $50.

Service was great, everyone was friendly and helpful, no idea why other reviewers are complaining that it was slow - we had our food within around 15 minutes. I had the chicken box and asked for no wings as they're not my favourite piece of chicken, this was accommodated for without any fuss. My partner ordered the super bowl sides combo and substituted a piece of chicken for a side. He was completely happy with his meal. The chicken was very good, still juicy and tender but with that addictive crunch. The biscuit was to die for - flaky and gorgeous and it was everlasting due to its size - amazing. I had burnt ends beans as a side and these were really something else, chunks of burnt ends in the beans made them something special and the smoky bbq flavour too.

I love Pies n thighs Chicken and catfish, but I have had a couple of disappointments with their side orders. More than once did I get coleslaw that was not fresh and today the cornbread was stale. With the prices that they charge they need to assure freshness EVERY DAY with all of their food.

It's a small place but we got here early enough for brunch and managed to get seats. The food looks tasty, but unfortunately, many of their delicious-looking items mostly contain dairy and it's difficult to take it out of the equation. The server was kind enough to offer substitution suggestions though—I'd have liked to take some bites out of their chicken and waffle.

The place is on the smaller side, even when compared to the Williamsburg location. The wait was 15-20 minutes for a party of three around 7pm on a Saturday. We were seated faster than estimated since we decided counter seats due to hunger. This was the first time I ordered food and not just a delicous donut. I ordered the Codfish Box while the Chicken and Waffles and the Chicken Biscuit were also ordered by the party. The codfish was on point, soft and flaky with a nice crunch from the batter. I had a side of Mac and Cheese that complimented the fish nicely. This meal also comes with cornbread which is needed to clean up the extra cheese and hot sauce on the plate. The Chicken in the Chicken Biscuit was also nice and crsipy and smothered in hot sauce, while the biscuit was flaky and strong enough to not crumble with the honey and sauce. The Chicken and Waffles were different than expected since the waffles are buckwheat but my friend still enjoyed them but she says she has had better but woukd still order them on the next visit. All in all it was a great meal and we washed it down with Arnold Palmers and Renegades, two drinks I highly recommend.

The best meal I had in New York City. The fried chicken was juicy and tender, and the waffles were great with fruit and cinnamon butter. This location is far from the touristy areas of the city, but still easy to get to, so I would recommend this place if you're tired of the crowds.
