Server was on top of things, ambiance and vibe was so cute and the food was 10/10 Italian. We ordered the shrimp linguine and the chicken parm, yummy.

I was lucky to attend a wine dinner at Pietro’s and it knocked my socks off because it was so outstanding. The chef owner was so personable and friendly, service was impeccable, and every course of food was delicious and perfect with the wine. A mix of individual and family-style plates made it engaging. Having a master sommelier describe the wines and describe terroir made it even better. My kids ate in the restaurant and were swooning as well. Such a homey restaurant with delicious food—I’m going back ASAP.

Huy, the bartender is hands down the best bartender in Grand Rapids! This man needs a raise asap!! He is very knowledgeable, personable, and has a great smile! The spinach dip is off the charts!! And the drinks were perfecto!! We are only going here when we stay in Grand Rapids!!! ❤️❤️

We celebrated our son and DIL’s Rehearsal dinner and couldn’t be more pleased with our experience! The manager Paula was a pleasure to work with from the start and she assembled the perfect team for our evening! The moment we walked in we were thrilled with the decor and room set-up. We opted for the family style menu: 5 courses delivered in 3 settings. Appetizers and Salads. Pasta and filet. Desserts. Everyone loved the options and the family style venue created the perfect atmosphere for lots of conversation and laughter! Our servers were a hit and everyone loved their joyful and helpful demeanor. I highly recommend!!! Our group ended up staying over 3 hours—we are all so grateful to all involved for creating this moment!

Great food, great atmosphere and friendly/nice staff. Would highly recommend! Learned of this place from the in-laws, who've been coming for literally decades (since they lived in EGR, Ada and now Saugatuck) and now that we're living in the EGR area they still enjoy coming up and bringing us. All of the dishes we had were very tasty, they bring rolls and a classic olive oil/herb dipping plate for the rolls. Father in law ordered it - so I know they have an open soup bar. They have a nice selection of wines and also some locally sourced brewery beers as well as the more commonly known ones. I THINK they have a full bar in the back area.. But I can't say whether it was or not, everyone in our party ordered wine or beer? There menu does not clearly state on it any type of cocktails. We each ordered a different dessert (tiramisu, creme brulee, pumpkin pecan praline cheesecake and a lemon cake, also got a very generous chocolate mascarpone on the house for the bday! *had to show ID) and shared each - everything was super rich, even the entrées, prepare with tums or pepto, lol. Brought home a lot of left over dessert as everything from the entrées to dessert were good portions. Haven't personally had this but my in-laws said they always used to get the deep dish pizza from here. The meal was a bday meal, so I didn't have to cover the bill, but I would say by prices on the menu that a dinner/drinks/dessert for party of 4 with tip was probably around/over $200.

Somewhat regularly my business hosts its holiday dinner at Pietro's. Last night McKenzie and Paula did a fantastic job. It was honestly one of the best holiday dinners we have ever had. Appetizers were ready upon arrival, drinks came out at a reasonable time, and dinner service was perfect. McKenzie did a great job taking care of us, thank you! I hope she's around for next year :)

Pietro's is a cozy, Tuscan-inspired restaurant that delivers five-star service and authentic Italian dishes. Our waiter, Eric was outstanding. He was knowledgable about the menu and made suggestions to meet our taste, he offered excellent wine suggestions and was friendly, attentive and professional throughout our meal. Dinner was absolutely delicious. The veal parmesan was tender, flavorful, and served in generous portions. The fresh crusty Italian bread was warm and tender inside. Their wine list is extensive and impressive. Although we were quite full, we decided to order the Michigan Apple Cherry Crisp. What a delightful surprise! It was a perfect balance of sweet fruit topped with a buttery crumb crust. The perfect ending to a wonderful dining experience. We will definitely be back to try other some of the homemade ravioli or other entree.

Best authentic Italian food in Michigan. Always smells like fresh baked bread here , it's fantastic! Family owned & family recipes Been coming & bringing people here since I was a teenager. I've moved away since but had to get 2 orders of the chocolate mascarpone for my birthday when I came into town.. with extra creme anglaise! Missing the praline crunchy's tho! Michael's fettuccine alfredo is definitely a must! A hidden gem of GR

Food was top notch! Service was excellent! Ambiance was very nice! But.....as I was leaving I miss-stepped and fell face- first, and hit my head on the concrete! I would suggest installing a railing in the middle, and also reflecting paint on each step upon exiting your restaurant, as there is nothing! I have no intention of bringing this ordeal to court, but if something is not done about this matter, I will no longer be coming to your establishment! Let's face it, this could happen to anyone! Why not prevent it? We were there the evening of December 7th for my wife's Birthday!

The food is fabulous. They serve a generous portions with authentic Italian dishes. The service was quick and efficient. The restaurant has an old world Italian look. They accommodate large parties and couples alike. Perfect for date night or family gatherings.

Delicious!!! First time eating here. This place did not disappoint. Everything was delicious. Staff was very friendly. Our server was wonderful. We will definitely be back amazing Italian food.

Our service was great! Our waitress was so so sweet. It was fast and smooth. However, my parents and I were hot the whole time in the restaurant with no A/C. I think that's the only part about our visit that was poor.

Last year my coworker and I discovered this gem and we haven't turned back. We visit the area once a year and this is our start and our end to an amazing trip. The staff is always super friendly the soup bar should not be walked past and the food let's just say I can never order enough amazing dishes. Thank you for being what every restaurant should be!

Came here with some colleagues and I would say there were no complaints but the food was nothing fantastic in my book. Especially considering it wasn't cheap. I would also say that the menu was a little unfriendly being presented on an iPad. Service was fantastic and deserved 5 stars on its own.

It's been several years since I have been to Pietro's. The ambiance is very nice, the intimate and not to loud. Our server was very friendly. It took a little bit to get our food, but we also came at peak time on a Saturday and they were very busy. The food was delicious. I had the chicken Parmesan and it was on point! The side salad was very good too. I loved the balsamic dressing. Great local restaurant!

When looking to make reservations for a family birthday meal, I smiled when I saw Pietro's came up in my search and I just couldn't say no - especially when they continue the extremely generous birthday promotion for $14 off of your meal on your actual birthday! Besides a generous kids meal, the service is always top notch and the environment feels cozy with a nice comfortable low level of energy. And then there's the food... oh, the food! The delicious food options are what keep bringing us back. The chicken piccata was amazing with a sweet creamy tang and the cannoli was just the perfect conclusion to an amazing meal. My child reported that the cheese pizza was top notch and the steak fry I stole from her was the perfect blend of crispy exterior and creamy potato interior. All in all it was an extremely pleasant dining experience at an unbelievably reasonable price at a time when food prices are going up exponentially. You had better believe we will make our way back to Pietro's soon!

Talapia was excellent. Steaks and spaghetti were very good. Service was great. Basic problem was water kept dripping on my grandson. It would have been nice to move to a different table or atleast had this acknowledged. We we were last Friday evening in the corner of the bar area about 6:30.

Service and food were excellent. Gwendolyn's recommendations were spot on. Get the spring rolls. You won't be sorry.

Very good pizza, however very disappointed in what we received in our order. We ordered roasted red peppers, but what we received was green peppers. This is the second time that this has happened. When I questioned why we didn't get what we ordered I was told that they have not had the roasted red peppers in several months. When I asked why they were still on the website menu I was told that haven't revisited the website to correct this. I asked why they didn't call (they have our phone number on the order) they could not give a reason. I took the pizza as it was for our guests and picked off the green peppers as no one cared for them. I do not know if I will be doing business with them again.

I was tasked with finding a restaurant for my family of six that would take a last minute reservation for an early birthday dinner. I checked on Yelp and then Opentable - luckily Pietro's had availability for the next evening. I used to go to Pietro's all the time as a kid, but hadn't been in years. I was looking forward to checking it out! We were seated right away at our reservation time and our server Jasmine was great. She was super polite and on top of water refills throughout the meal, as well as taking away empty plates, etc. Pietro's isn't fancy, it's more of a homey, comfortable spot, kind of like a local version of an Olive Garden. Their fettuccine Michael is their signature dish, which you can get for free on your birthday if you sign up for their free club. Unfortunately we were there on the day before my birthday, and Jasmine said that they actually check your ID to make sure it's the actual day. That's ok, because three of the six people in our party ordered the fettuccine Michael including Nate, so I got to try it :) The menu is pretty large with lots of options for all. I went with the Northern combination, which includes a piece of lasagna, Tuscan-style meatball, grilled Italian sausage, and fettuccine alfredo. I wanted to try a little bit of everything so this was a great option. We also ordered two plates of the calamari to share, and they provide complimentary bread with olive oil and spices for dipping. Delicious! The calamari was not the best I've ever had and a pretty small size, but it was still tasty and the marinara sauce tasted super fresh. Our entrees came out quickly and everything seemed hot and fresh. I really enjoyed my dinner but the sausage was a bit dry. It had a nice flavor though, with plenty of fennel. The meatball was actually not dry at all, and was tender and flavorful. Both the pastas were nicely done as well, the fettuccine alfredo needed a bit of salt but otherwise the flavors and textures were pretty spot on. We were too stuffed for dessert but I'd definitely try their tiramisu next time. I think this place might get overlooked but it feels like a GR classic to me. I was impressed with the food and service and would go back again for lunch or to get my own plate of fettuccine Michael, which is super delicious and decadent!

It was an oh-yeah moment when my wife picked Pietro's for her birthday dinner. It had been a 1990s go to but I'd bet we hadn't eaten there in 10 years. It's as if we'd forgotten about it despite the good food, ambience, friendly staff. Part of it could be its random location on 28th street, sited in non- descript retail section and not close to Woodland nor 131N. The interior was just as charming as we remembered, and it is scrupulously maintained. Everything looked the same, finely aged like antiques. The seating is perfectly molded by decades of sittings, the tables vintage but not run down. We were greeted warmly by the host & staff. The food was vintage also- I can't say for sure, but I don't think the menu has changed in decades. I'm not a gourmet, but the food was fresh, delicious, and smartly portioned. Like the décor, it does not need to change, it maintains a timeless pure, cared-for aspect. If you're a raw tomato hater like me, the Bruschetta con Pomodoro will change your mind. I also generally avoid fish, but Tavernier Tilapia is firm, smoothly textured and flavored. It was a busy Saturday night, and I think like most places Pietro's is having trouble finding staff. But no one missed a beat hoisting heavy trays, refilling drinks, or checking in while we waited. It's sort of/not really out of the way, but worth remembering and braving 28th Street. A Grand Rapids institution offering food and service that lives up to that status.

I love this restaurant! My family and I are regulars! The food is delicious. I have always had a great meal here and amazing service. The restaurant has an old world Italian vibe, and I love it! I've had great food in the bar area and in the main restaurant. They are very accommodating for large groups or parties. Always go for my birthday! I've set up numerous reservations here and they are also have a merge banquet room that can be rented out. Highly recommended. I will definitely be back, and soon! My only complaint is they took "The Northern" off the menu! I absolutely miss "The Northern." That was the best "tasting" meal as it had the sausage, their amazing meatballs, and lasagna. Please bring it back!

The steak is good as well as the vegetables and their bread and oil is amazing! Their fettucine alfredo needs more flavor it's bland

Everything we ordered was delicious, came out quickly and was steaming hot. Our server was great and gave us enough time between appetizers and our entrees. The ambiance was dark and cozy, although the seat in the booth were dated and could use an upgrade. We don't have a lot of authentic Italian restaurants in town so we'll definitely be back soon!

We were on a road trip for soccer and decided to try this place. Olive Garden, Smolive Garden! Come here! Home made rolls are delightful. Service is friendly. Food was great! Family owned restaurant at its best.

The food was delicious, staff friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Perfect place for date night-sit in the bar area in a booth. Or family dinner in the main dining room or patio. Great for any occasion. I had the caprese salad and the chicken piccata.

This is one of our favorite places ever. Their red sauce is amazing. One of the best- so their lasagna and pizza are phenomenal. The eggplant parm was my sister's favorite, and she a vegetarian food critic (not officially but we all know someone like this). My favorite is the chicken piasano. Highly recommend! Tiramisu is my favorite dessert in general, and theirs is my favorite I've tried (and I've tried a lot of them!). You won't be disappointed! Oh and they do free birthday meals on your actual birthday. :)

What an incredible pizza with Fresh Mozzarella, Fresh Italian Sausage, Pepperoni, Meatballs, Bacon, Mushrooms, Onions, and Roasted Garlic. Instead of the muddled flavor of ingredients blending together that you get on some pizzas, you could taste each individual ingredient and the fresh Italian sausage was fantastic as was the crust. Definitely one of the best pizzas I've had in quite a few years. This will likely become my 'go to' place for pizza going forward.

We were here for a work party and the entire experience was a disappointment. We ordered a beer and they served a non-alcoholic beer. Dirty glasses, portions were not enough for everyone at the tables. Service was slow, the place was over booked and understaffed.

The service was great staff were friendly. I had the undressed salmon and just thought it was bland not bad just bland. The robot with dishes and was kind of neat.

It's been 30 years since I last visited Pietros. The eggplant parm still does not disappoint. A tasty breaded eggplant lay on top of a bed a spaghetti with a side of buttered vegetables. It was excellent and absolutely classic! Prompt service and the waiter even took the time to tell me about the history of Pietros when asked. Fresh baked bread with a high quality olive oil was also a great start to the meal. The atmosphere and ambiance of this place also can't be beat as Italian restaurants go. I will be back much sooner for a return visit.

My aunt and I enjoyed our dinner here. You get fresh hit rolls with their herbed oil, so good. I ordered the chicken park which is one of their house specialties. Two delicious, nicely breaded cutlets with sauce and melted cheese. Very flavorful with a side of spaghetti and vegetables. My aunt enjoyed her spaghetti and meatballs. We ordered a glass of red wine and peach sangria. Our server Colleen (believe that was her name) was very pleasant and attentive considering it was a busy post-Christmas crowd. We shared a lemon raspberry cake that was good. The atmosphere is old world Italian, menus are on iPads, parking is a bit tricky getting to if you haven't been there or has been awhile. Overall a good dinner experience.

We appreciate the special birthday promotion ! Kudos to management for still keeping it alive. We all opted for the Chicken Alfredo. It did not disappoint! Generous portions and it received high marks on the Flavor scale ! Our sever was attentive and took care of us admirably! All in all, and enjoyable eventing with good food and friends!!

Straight forward good food, great service, large portions and the ambiance is different for Grand Rapids so a little refreshing. Definitely recommend.

We came here for a rehearsal dinner to a wedding. The food was amazing!!!! The servers made sure we had our water cups full all the time and would ask if we would want more food served since it was family style. The little banquet room was decorated very well and gave a cute little Italian vibe.

The first thing I will say is that the 2 ladies that were serving as hostesses when we walked up were very friendly and helpful. We had an 8:15 reservation. 2 other couples walked in after we did to check in and they sat them first, even apologized to one (as it was now 8:35 before they started seating the 8:25 reservations.) The hostels offered them a free appetizer and sat them in the dining room. No apology to us for seating us for seating us last after we arrived first, no free appetizer, and then sat us in the bar where we didn't want to sit. Secondly, the place feels dirty. One women's bathroom stall for the entire place so there was always a long wait. Lastly, my husband ordered the deluxe pizza and I ordered a pizza as well. We also ordered breadsticks. The pizza came recommended from the waiter. Very Under impressed with the taste and quality of the pizza. Sauce was very bland. Bread was pretty good. The waiter kept up on our drinks, but never asked about whether or not we enjoyed our meal-very unfriendly. Just an under average experience all around. Not horrible but not great either. Prices were above average. Wouldn't return to try it again.

I'm a pretty picky eater, but i have to say the eggplant parm was really good. I tried the chicken parm also was good, nothing touches those little bread nuggets for appitisers and minestrone soup was delicious

Good old world Italian and can't complain about the service. Nice standard Italian and would most definitely recommend if you're in the area.

I hadn't visited in several years and now have been there twice in the past 6 weeks. Once for a birthday celebration and then I took my team leaders out for dinner. Great food and casual atmosphere. Everyone was very happy with menu selections and prices. Hearty Italian in a place that you can enjoy a good dinner conversation. Great service is always appreciated too. Will return again.

EDIT: beware of food poisoning!!! Not even a half hour after the meal i was suffering from food poisoning from this poorly made food. First time going there and NEVER coming back!!!!!!! Ehh, low quality food surprisingly. Our meals were both very average and we wished we went to olive garden to get italian instead :( Too pricey for the quality

I went here with family on Mother's Day weekend. I got the bow-tie Alfredo. Others in my party ordered the egg plant Parmesan, balsamic chicken and bruschetta. The goat cheese, cranberry salad was divine. We were apart of a large party so we sat in a large room in the back. The service was quick and kind. Their outdoor patio would be a great place to sit if I came back.

I had the chicken Parm and lasagna. Bothe we're very good, but I give the nudge to the lasagna. They have a good selection of bottled beer and a great selection of wines.

My wife and I decided to try Pietro's last night for a date night. We started off with the bruschetta which was good. That's about where the positive stops. She ordered a peach sangria which showed up with sliced lemon and lime making the drink very tart. I ordered the veal Marsala with a side Caesar salad. The salad was ok and the veal was not. Meat was very tough, the sauce was bland, and just not enjoyable. My wife ordered the parmesan crusted sirloin steak, medium well. Unfortunately, the steak was so over done even a steak knife could barely cut through the steak. The restaurant was busy, the staff was friendly, but the food was not as expected. Maybe we should have stayed with simple pasta dishes like many of the other restaurant patrons. Not sure if we will risk trying this again.

One of our favorites. Been going there with my wife for around 35 years. The Food is excellent. A little strange last night when we were walking in and were seated at a table while walking by at least a few open booths to be told when we asked if we could have a booth to be told no. That was a first. Nonetheless we had a nice meal. Good wine and a nice waitress as well. I will remember the booth issue.

I used to eat at Pietro's alot when I was growing up, along with Sam's Joint and Fuddruckers, they were part of my holy trifecta, when it came to local restaurants. I haven't been to Pietro's in 12 years and thought it would be a fun choices for my Friday night dinner. How was it you ask? Let's just say my memory was a bit better than it is now, don't get me wrong their service was fast and friendly. However the food was a little lacking, the free bread was tough to chew, but you know it's free so I can't be too upset about that. My primary dish on the other hand, was the (Maine Lobster Ravioli) it came out lukewarm and was cold within 5 minutes. The only silver lining was that the sauce it came in actually tastd pretty good, so I put up with it. My last issue was it took the server 14 minutes to bring me the check, so I could pay and leave, that seems way to long in my opinion. Unfortunately I couldn't recommend this restaurant, unless you are already a regular customer and don't mind it's faults.

We don't eat Italian much because we never really feel like it's authentic. Usually when we eat Italian we agree it's not bad but bland and just mediocre tasting... This place had given us a whole new bar for Italian. It tastes like it came from the motherland. The Italian spring rolls were packed with flavor, along with my exquisite and perfectly creamy Alfredo. Can't beat these prices either, this was just a great experience! Note: I checked in on yelp and got a 50% off coupon for an appetizer!! Be sure to check in!

I went there with a friend for her birthday during lunch - They offer a free meal to the birthday person with they are with a paying person. They offer paper straws which is great! I personally could have gone without it, but that was fine. Also they bring tables out and that's how you check out the menu - hey have a great feature which is when you click on a food option, a picture pops up showing you what it looks like and what type of wine pairs well. I thought that was pretty neat. We ordered our meals and the waitress brought bread and olive oil/seasonings/spices and that was great. I had the chicken parmigiana sub that comes with a pasta salad side - it was very good, but had a chewy part, probably some cartilage. I'm a little picky with that, but I guess most people wouldn't mind. My friend had half the fettuccine and half a salad - she said it was really good. I don't know if they can accommodate large groups in different areas - tables were kind of close to one another.

What a great little gem in Grand Rapids! We wanted Italian but not anything fast food. Searched yelp and we found Pierrot Italian restaurant! Paula greeted us with a warm welcome and seated us in the bar area which is so cute! Reminds me of the cute Italian restaurants in italy! Our server Oliver was very informative with suggestions as we were first timers to the restaurant! We ordered the sampler appetizer, so yummy. We each ordered different items so we could taste! We really enjoyed our meals, the atmosphere and the friendly Staff! We will be back and bring our friends!!

Went here for a celebration of an anniversary with my girlfriend and was very happy with everything about this place. There is plenty of parking, and plenty of seating to go around. We reserved seating online with them which also may have helped. Our server KT was super kind and very helpful to us as it was our first time being there. I had gotten the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and it was delicious. To end the night we had gotten a dessert called Mt. Vesuvius and to say it was phenomenal is an understatement. It was a brownie with chocolate and vanilla ice cream with Oreo crumbles, whipped cream and a chocolate drizzle on top served in a margarita type of glass. It was amazing. We will 100% be here again next time we are in the area.

I'm so sad it's taken me years of living in the area to come here! I was so impressed with how kind and helpful our waiter was. He was so friendly and made our time there so enjoyable! The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered the baked ziti and chicken parm and had the perfect amount for leftovers. It's the perfect place for a nice little date night or dinner with the family!

This place is a family favorite. We do many birthdays & celebrations there. Recently I took my daughter and her friends for dinner before homecoming. My daughter loves the place but one friend in particular is picky. We all loved the food, the atmosphere, and the service. Oliver did a great job waiting on us and Sherri, a co-owner, took the time to talk to us. I had the Delmonico steak which is fantastic; it's what I have every time I go.

Average food, good bread but pasta is just too simple for me. Even thee pasta with all the gimmicks didn't have much flavor.

Came here for a business dinner in the private room- family style set menu. Server (who's name i forgot) was AWESOME. Great personality and explained every dish in detail and with passion. Sorry i forgot his name! The food was amazing! From the salads, apps, to the main course and dessert. It was all fabulous and the portions were MORE than enough. I can't speak for the main restaurant menu and food, but for a private party/ family style meal... i would highly recommend! Room was spacious and set up very well.. quiet and private. They boxed all leftovers to go, too. Also, worth noting.. the bathrooms were very clean and had mouthwash available.. you dont see that at many places! :)

It was my first time and my fiancé's first time eating here. We absolutely loved the food! Our waitress, Lily, was so nice and helpful. We ordered calamari for an appetizer and it was at our table at a reasonable time. After the appetizer, we decided what we wanted. She recommended to me the Delmonico Champignon for an entree, and it sounded really good. I'm so glad I took her advice, because it is by far the best steak I've had in Grand Rapids! The presentation was wonderful as well. It was a pretty big serving, so I saved the rest for leftovers. For dessert, I ordered Tiramisu and my fiancé ordered cannolis. Those were really delicious. The setting for our dinner was romantic and calm, which I loved. It wasn't busy in the room we had our reservation, so it was nice being able to talk. Overall was an amazing experience and recommend.
