It really takes a lot for me to write a poor review of a local restaurant, and one that may not be a popular opinion given how long it's been in business. I've waited several times to write this in order to be fair, even though it has been a year since I last ate here, with same results, but only worse food.
I am extremely disappointed with the food at Pietro's. I'm usually never one to complain about too much salt. In fact, it often annoys me when I hear people constantly complain about salt; however, everything from the bread, pizza, ravioli, and pastas was just so overwhelmingly salty, I was thirsty for water all night long.
I ordered the Super Special pizza, but the crust was so overcooked and burnt, and deeply undercooked on the outside. The Mushrooms were raw and sausage was crispy. I appreciate how loaded it was, but it didn't help with the proper cooking process in this pizza.
The complementary bread tasted like someone forgot to close the lid on the salt and the entire container fell on top of the bread. This happened on both occasions we had bread that evening.
The chicken parmigiana was okay, and not terrible, and not as salty as the other dishes, but nothing to write home about.
The raviolis were very soft and overcooked, and missing the nice Al dente bite. The sauce on top was extremely salty, and couldn't taste the meat inside the filling.
The fettuccine with chicken was not memorable at all either. Just nothing about it was enjoyable and could have ever easily been made at home with exact results.
I won't be returning and as painful as it is to say, it's truly a disappointment to report this portly of the quality of food.
