Pig Tales on Lake Lanier

The deviled eggs are delicious and the brisket nachos are a must order every visit! The burgers were cooked to perfection. We had the pigtails with smoked pulled pork, bacon, creamy slaw, and fried onion straws - featured on the travel channel food paradise!

I gotta say, the grub was way better than the service. The host seemed like she would rather be getting a root canal, and our server was so sluggish I had to beg for bev refills. The staff was too busy partying at the bar to care. You need a magnifying glass to read the menu. I drove an hour to get here, and yeah, I'm kinda bummed. When I asked for a dog bowl of water, the server pointed outside and said, it's out there. I thought pups were welcome. But hey, they finally brought me a tiny bowl of water, probably out of pity, lol. Here's hoping the next visit is more of a blast. As it got busier, the staff seemed more engaged, rising above uncertainty, finding redemption,

This is a really great place to get some good food. We went here for lunch today. The food was really good. The atmosphere was wonderful and peaceful. Our server was very nice and friendly. We never had to ask for anything. She made sure our drinks stayed full and that we had everything that we needed. There was plenty of parking and a nice little area to walk by the lake after eating. If you are looking for a good meal at a reasonable price, this is one of those places.

It was a wonderful experience and everyone's food was amazing. The pork belly bites are tender and the sauce they provide with it is good. Only issue was our frozen drinks took a while but it was a crowded and busy day for them. Besides that I don't have a bad thing to say about this visit. I'll be back for more bites.

We loved it here so much we came back twice in a 3 day period. So many great menu options. The view on the lake is beautiful. Delicious food. Easily enjoy amazing weather with the deck/patio style seating. Really great all around. Only complaint is we had a hard time getting drink refills. And it took a long time to be able to put an order in for our food. Waitresses just seemed to disappear for bits at a time but were good when they were around. Definitely highly recommend the deep fried green tomatoes!!! They were a family favorite for sure. Honestly all of the food we got everyone loved. It seems you can’t go wrong here.

Pig Tales at Lake Lanier is an amazing spot with beautiful lake views and great food. Our server Lily was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. She made our visit feel extra special. A big thank you as well to manager Hope, who runs the place with such professionalism and genuine care for the guests. You can tell she really values both her staff and the customers. Highly recommend Pig Tales if you’re looking for delicious food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere!

Tonight was the first time I've been here, & I will for sure be back! We only had to wait for 30 minutes on a Friday night, which is wonderful. There was great live music & a beautiful scenery of the lake. Our server was Alissa, & she was awesome! Super sweet, attentive, & fast. Our food was yummy; we had the sliders & pork tacos. I do think it is a little over priced, but the atmosphere makes up for it. The only negative thing I have to say about our visit was the amount of flies going in & out of the BBQ sauce bottle tops on each table. Yes, I'm aware being outside by water will attract bugs; that wasn't the issue. Seeing the large amount constantly going in & out of the open BBQ sauce tops was not appealing & made me not want to try any of the sauces at a place that specializes in BBQ. My husband & I are very easy going & usually don't ever complain about anything at a restaurant, but it was bad enough that we had to talk to our server about it. A recommendation would be to keep the sauces at the table but put them in containers that have lids to prevent this. Overall, it was a great visit!

The food was excellent! Just a heads-up: if you’re not a fan of outdoor seating, this might not be the spot for you. They do have ceiling fans, but when it’s 100° with Georgia humidity, the fans can only do so much. Hailey was our waitress, and she was incredibly polite and helpful. We started with the Fish Tales appetizer, my husband had the Brisket Philly, and I had the Chicken Club Tacos along with a Tsunami to drink. Everything was absolutely delicious! Hailey recommended the Philly and the tacos—great choices! Overall, amazing food and great vibes!

Food was horrible. Got the chicken wings and they tasted like they had freezer burn. Then ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap, it was nasty as well. The flavor was funky tasting. The only thing good was the tots. Service was slow, waiter forgot numerous times to put in drink orders. Food was over priced for what we got.

We had lunch here today. Our experience started with Lauren getting us. She was very personable & seated us right away. Annie was our server & took great care of us. We had Fish Tails (fried grouper strips) & a burger. Both were very tasty. Pig Tales & their sister restaurant, Fish Tales, are the best restaurants in the lake.

Went with a group of 9 Sunday afternoon. Long wait, but it was such a nice day, that's to be expected. Live music was good. Service was good, this time. The food, however, geesh! It took over an hour for us to get our food. I had the chicken fingers and tots. The tots were sparse and cold. The wife ordered a burger, no bun and the burger looked like it came from Costco frozen section. One of the other guys had a pulled pork sandwich, with limited meat. Ambiance is great, but this is like the 3rd time we've been where the food was mediocre and/or service was not great. If you're wanting to hang out on the lake with a great view and have some drinks, Pig Tales is great. Food is not worth the price or the wait.

I had the pleasure of trying this place one afternoon for lunch. The location and view are absolutely perfect. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful. I tried their tales ale and it was 10 out of 10. This place was great for both people watching as well to enjoy the view. We tried various plates and everything was a good, no complaints.

Ate there today . Food and service was great. Clark was our server and she was spectacular. Nice variety on menu.

Have been many times and had a good experiences and good food. This evening I ordered grilled tacos, as usual. The fish was closer to being poached, it certainly did not resemble grilled fish in any way. The outside seating with lake view is beautiful. This evening was cool, and we had strong fans blowing directly on us. Was uncomfortably chilly and made food instantly cold. Our server was lovely, efficient and knowledgeable..couldn't have had better service.

We had such a good experience here Saturday. Our server was honestly the cutest and kindest girl. We got a cucumber lemonade cocktail and Bloody Mary. The bloody was fantastic! Food we got shrimp tacos that were really great and flavorful. The fish tacos were a little too spicy for me but still great, luckily my husband ate most of them. The fries are great- my dog also liked them :) Not a huge fan of the slaw it was more of a kale salad. We got our table right away it was super busy but the service was great and sitting outside by the lake is amazing in 70 degree weather.

Autumn is the best waitress we have ever encountered here at pig tales she made the experience so much better with her knowledge of the menu and always staying on top of our drinks and anything we needed, definitely will be back to sit with her soon!

Beautiful view of the lake while you are eating. The food is no frills but very tasty. The service was a little slow for a weekday afternoon that wasn't super crowded. That was the only thing that wasn't good. It was a HOT steamy day and it would have been nice to get quicker drink refills

Great brisket! Fun place for a catch-up conversation with a friend. Nice buzz of talk and music but not overpowering. The menu has a good variety and shares a few items with partner Fish Tales, also on Lake Lanier. Server was friendly, attentive, but knew how not to intrude (something of a lost art these days.)

Very disappointed, service was slow, messed up our order, and food was just straight up not good. We were sat at 12:45 and didn't end up getting our checks till 3:15. Won't be back anytime soon.

Brook was an amazing server!!! So attentive and sweet! Made sure we had everything in a timely manner. Love the firecracker shrimp!

I tried the Brisket Philly and Tator tots. Wow it is good and filling! The waitress is perky and made for an enjoyable lunch!

Right on Aqualand Marina, Pig tails has grown and expanded a lot over the years. Starting as an open roof small bar and bbq joint, pig tails is now a very serviceable restaurant with a nice mix of menu options, still focusing on pork and BBQ. Their brisket nachos are a must try topped with your choice of meat, my personal favorite brisket, and greens with a very nice sauce and crispy kettle cooked chips. Their pulled pork sandwhich is awesome and simple and I find myself getting their chicken club tacos a lot! With live music, Pig tails is a great place to find shade on lake Lanier and the servers are always wonderful, however wait times can be jam packed

This resturant is a continent distance away from most lake activities on the southern side. Staff were friendly and it seems to be plenty of seating (although that might change on the weekend). I sat at the bar and the staff were quite attentive and quick with their service. I got the tropical Tito's and the grouper sandwich. Both were pretty tasty. The quantity of fish was a nice surprise! There's live music in the background. Since the restaurant is next to the lake, there a nice view if you sit lakeside. I'd come again if I was in the area!

What a cool place ! Over looks the lake. Usually when you get food on the water, the foods, not that good, but in this case, the food is pretty good. The drinks are strong and they allow dogs had the barbecue brisket, which was really decent. Service was nice. What a hidden gem on the lake.

It's my third time going to Pig Tales and it's impossible not to order the Belly Bites. It's delicious and the flavor is amazing. I loved this plate Beer Boiled Shrimp. The service is great and fast and I love the atmosphere.

Came here Saturday afternoon, Emily was our server- she was very friendly and attentive. We had the Grouper sandwich (yum and huge!), the buffalo chicken wrap (yummy), the pulled pork sandwich (YuM!) and fish fingers (yum and lots of them!) All of us left stuffed!! Last year, on our visit to Lake Lanier , we stopped in here and had a great lunch, so glad we decided to come back this year! Thanks for a great lunch experience!

My family & I were part of a large party (18 people) tonight at Pig Tales and had a great experience. Brook was very attentive & did everything possible to make sure everyone had what they needed in a timely manner, that food orders were correct, & that checks were ready when requested. It's hard to be on top of things with that many people, but she absolutely crushed it. Thanks for a great dinner!

Love Pig Tales. We have been going for 3 years now. Every time we leave, we plan the next trip back. Great barbecue and tacos!! The only thing better than the food and the view is the fantastic wait staff. Each one, nicer than the next. Today, we were especially happy to see our favorite waitress, Clark, was back!!! We had a different waitress serve us, named Ansley. She was so polite, friendly and attentive.

Very fun ambiance. Food was pretty good but not my absolute favorite. A little pricy for the menu but you're paying for the lake views which were great! Friendly service too.

We stopped here for lunch in the middle of a day on the lake and left very happy. The servers were very friendly and efficient. The place is very beachy with a nice outdoor atmosphere. We had the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese and the fish tales for appetizers and they were great. Not greasy and fried perfectly. My husband had the buffalo blue salad and I had the spinach salad, which were huge and tasty. My sons had the chicken tacos and BLT and really enjoyed them. We will definitely be back.

The food and service was excellent. Everyone enjoyed the grouper fingers and the pork BBQ. The only downer was the heat - which Pig Tales has no control over. Normally I love sitting outside but when it's above 90 it's just hard to enjoy hot food. Kitchen was a little slow but it was a really busy Saturday night.

CLARK IS THE BEST EVER!!!!! The food was the amazing as always. But we had the best service ever. Clark went above and beyond our whole lunch. Can't say enough kind things. Plus, it was her birthday!

We ordered to go. 2 Lb of pulled pork that turned out to be a half pound in each container. Charged 18.99 per pound almost $40 for not even a pound of meat! It wasn't even smoked - more like made in a crockpot The potato salad was old. The coleslaw was inedible and old. The Hawaiian rolls were placed in with the meat and so soggy they were also inedible. I left a voice message with the owners . We'll see if they call back. This was horrible and we will not return. If you can't serve fresh food don't serve it at all!!!!

Tried Pig Tales for the first time today and it was amazing!!! It was a hot and busy day but the service was incredible! My server was Ansley and she is the sweetest!! All of her suggestions were so good! She's also very attentive and always checks on you despite how busy the restaurant is! I can't wait to come back and try other items on the menu!!

Pulled up to the host stand outside and thought we would have the longest wait but it was just the two of us and we got seated right away. Felt like secret VIPs, lol. We had a lake view, server was great, and the food had many options even gluten free which was very surprising. Food was great and the only item that wasn't was the piña coladas but that no biggie. Win some lose some. Definitely going to come back!

We at this past weekend (Memorial weekend). We will definitely be going back. One of the best places we've been in a long while. Super friendly folks. Open air with awesome view of Lake Lanier. Nice breeze on a warm day. I had fried fish--again some of the best I've had. Huge portions. No drawbacks at all. Perfect all the way around. Again, we'll be back!

We frequent pig tales, it's usually good Tonight it was great! The skinny marg, the pork belly bites and my favorite fish tales! They are so lightly breaded and flaky yum! The cole slaw is different... kale with a sweet dressing but not bad just not what you think of as Cole slaw. Our waiter, think his name was Jeff (?) was awesome, keep that up!

I got the Pig Tales Burger! Amazing! The fires were big and swirly - so delicious! Big open restaurant with great views of Lake Lanier.

Good food, fun and great drinks, and the best place to watch a sunset on a nice warm evening

Food was average. My burger came undercooked in the middle and more well done on the outsides. Drinks were ordered and due to them being busy didn't get the one drink until we pointed it out when the check arrived. Ambiance is good, but very crowded. Service overall was not bad. The waitress did her best to keep up with all the tables but you could tell it was a tough job. Overall I may go back but not sold on it.

April rib special was excellent, ample amount of ribs and a side for 18! Fried green tomatoes appetizer with pimento cheese was also very good. Grilled grouper on salad was an excellent gluten free option. Exceptional service with a great view of the lake.

Excellent service like always. The potato salad and fries are delicious!! The bbq & fish are always fresh!

Food was great and the ambience makes me feel like I'm on vacation!! Love this place!
