This is a charming old building that was probably luxury apartments 60yrs ago but has been converted into a hotel. As soon as you enter you come across a truly vintage elevator that just oozes old world charm. Once inside the actual hotel, it is beautiful. Well appointed with everything you need. While we were there the kitchen was stocked with lots of great treats to enjoy for free. The rooms are modern and comfortable and the view out the back is of old classic buildings and a beautiful courtyard. ||||Great WiFi. ||||Close to amazing food and metro stop.

Pigneto Luxury Rooms - the clue is in the name!! I read some reviews before my stay and now have my own thoughts to share. ||||It is right to say that the first impression of this accommodation is not great. The building is situated on a very busy, dirty main road. However, once inside, it is a little gem. You are greeted by a member of staff and an antiquated lift ride to the fourth floor. Some people have complained about this lift - my husband and l loved it! The woman who booked us in was very welcoming and informative. In fact, she walked with us to her favourite local restaurant and introduced us to the owner. The rooms themselves are very well equipped, clean and comfortable. We stayed in Room 1 with a lovely view over the gardens and similar old building opposite. I would definitely recommend requesting a room at the back. We enjoyed the use of a fully equipped kitchen and common area where we were able to socialise and swap tourist tips with other residents. A computer and printer are also available for use. ||||Pigneto is a good area to stay - being out of the city centre the bars and restaurants are more affordable and the ambience is less touristy. We enjoyed some excellent meals. We appreciated returning to Pigneto after our days of sightseeing - travel by bus or tram couldn't be easier, although public transport is busy and we had to stand on occasions.||||If you are looking for an affordable place to stay which will enhance your visit to Rome, the Pigneto Luxury Rooms is your place. Ignore the negative comments, arrive with an open mind and enjoy the experience!

We have been here for a week and have enjoyed our stay. The bed is comfy, breakfast is supplied in the communal kitchen, as well as cooking facilities. The quirky bits are the lift strajght out of the ark, the locks which make this establishment secure, the lights in tbe room keel you guessing as to what will come on. The staff are most helpful. |The rooms are a little out of tbe city, but a direct tram gets you to Termini, where you can connect to everything. |The eateries are good and reasonable priced around here.|The first time here is difficult to find, but is simple after that. |The only drawback is the noise of trams, traffic and rumbling of underground trains. |Otherwise value for money.

The location is definitely less than ideal. It's not a walkable city. We are about 40 minutes by public transit and then a long walk to the Vatican. The room itself is very nice and cozy. French style bathrooms are a nice touch. Bed is comfortable. The breakfast common area is always well stocked. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Beautiful room, very comfy beds with extremely helpful and kind staff. They allowed us to check in early as we had been travelling since 3am and let us leave our bags for a few extra hours on the last day whilst we went out to see the remaining few sights. The staff were also very knowledgeable about Rome and had handy little tips for getting out and about. Some people have made noise complaints, however we had a room away from the road and had no issues. Great little kitchen and living space, very clean and there's always some delicious cake available! The only tiny issue is that the location is a little further out but still very accessible and the area isn't the nicest, however we didn't feel entirely unsafe at any point, even walking back late at night. I would 100% stay there again and have been recommending the hotel to anyone and everyone!

First of all we got off at pigneto metro station and didn't really know where we were going. Eventually we got there and it was a really dingy, horrible and run down area we were walking through. We got to the front door and it didn't look great at all, we got through the front door and had to go into a small and worrying lift. Worrying because the notice said "in order that the lift does work make sure all doors are closed" that wasn't very promising. We were welcomed at the 4th floor of the building where the "luxury rooms" are. The lady that dealt with us was very helpful and very nice. No issues at all there. We got into our room and it was a good size, we had room 4 which was the junior suite. I wouldn't classify it as a junior suite. There was no shampoo in the bathroom which was a shame because we only travelled with hand luggage and couldn't take over 100ml with us. Having it in our heads that we were going to a hotel with a junior suite room we expected there to be shampoo at least. We then connected to the internet which was not a great reception unless we went into the communal area which is when the internet worked. The communal area was a lovely living room so to speak. It had a kitchen for cooking needs and free biscuits and cake and breakfast cereal etc. And a computer which was free to use. The walls stare very thin, felt like you had to whisper because we could hear people in the other rooms and the keys going into rooms and the main door was very loud too. The 4th floor shook due to the trams going back and forth past the building which was crazy and I wondered how the bottom floor felt. Expedia classified this as a hotel, which it is not. It's more of an apartment with rented out rooms. It was quite far out from Rome itself having to walk to pigneto metro then the metro to Lodi and due to works on the line we had to walk from Lodi to st Giovanni and then get the metro into Rome from there. As a whole the pigneto rooms was a nice clean apartment. The area was not nice but the staff was friendly. I would recommend staying in either Spagna or ottaviano (Vatican) when visiting Rome.

A wonderful experience! The bedroom and living room were beautiful. Lovely people and incredibly helpful. Even before we arrived we were sent useful info and received a message to check we were ok/needed help when we were a little late to arrive. Transport links are very easy with trams to main station and bus 81 goes to most sights/ attractions. Thank you!

We stayed here for 4 nights last weekend. |We loved every minute. Our room was well equipped and comfortable with a beautiful view of the garden and the townhouse opposite. I loved sitting with the windows wide open sipping wine watching the world go by before going out for dinner to the numerous cafes and restaurants nearby. |The whole feel was relaxed, comfortable and boho chic. |I couldn't think of anywhere nicer to stay.
