Of course after you're done eating the freshest seafood, you'd want something to snack on while walking around, or in your hotel room, or your flight out, or on the ship for your upcoming cruise to Alaska. The latter was us. ATMOSPHERE: The stall is located in the section of the market on the bend in the road. You can smell the nuts in the air, but its not as enticing or powerful as if they were being roasted and made to order. They're pre-made and displayed in clear plastic bins. NUTS: There was a wide selection of varieties, but the mixed sweet nuts stood out. The mix consists of almonds, hazelnuts, pecans, and cashews. Its mildly sweet but all the nuts were stale, and some were difficult to bite through due to the heavily candied coating. OVERALL: The product looks, smells, and tastes okay, but the texture was a downer for me.

I thought this place was pretty cool. My grandmother and I bought some ghost pepper peanuts and roasted mixed nuts. They sell 1/4, 1/2, and 1 pound bags I believe. The ghost pepper nuts were spicy but really tasty. Apparently some people complained about the service here but it seemed very straightforward and normal to me. Nothing wrong with this spot, and the prices are good for the area.

This is a small counter space in Pike Place with a variety of nuts (peanuts, almonds, cashews) that are both savory and sweet. The guy was happy to give a sample nut to people who stopped. I bought a half pound of caramel cashews, and wow, they are good, with a nice, crunchy coating and a slightly softened buttery nut.

My favorite place to get the best roasted mix nuts utterly delicious and perfectly roasted, and the guy that is there is very friendly and gives good customer service

Mine tasted stale and I got the sweet mix and after 3 nuts it ended up in the trash. Do better for 10$/half pound. Seemed to me like it had been made days ago, but really the whole scene is an overpriced tourist trap with mid food at the best. Did it once for the kids, paid the outrageous prices, but next time we know exactly what to do, walk Pike, head to Chinatown, get some great dim sum for cheap and then over to the free museums.

Super rude service. Asked for a sample, guy gestured me to not pick the sample myself and give it in a rude way. This is right after I saw other customers pick the sample from the scoop themselves. I would not recommend this place. Plenty of better options in the market.

I purchased a 1lb bag of assorted roasted nuts while on a business trip. They have the best variety and flavor roasted nuts I have ever had. I cannot get enough of them. I only wish they had a website to order from and shipped to me in TX. Great snack food for anyone on the go or during your travels!

So good and so unique that we had to go back for round two. PB&J were my hubbs favorite. The cinnamon almonds were awesome too

Best nuts! So many delish flavors to choose from. They are all good. A must do when visiting Pikes market.

This place is great. Bring cash. They charge 75 cents to use credit card. $5 1/4 lb for cashews, a little less for peanuts, etc. Not great prices, but great nuts. Went on Sunday for cashews, and candied cashews. They were so good went back on Tuesday for garlic cashews and peanuts. They'll salt your nuts to your preferred level.

Well, was it so bad to expect hot fresh nuts like the carts all over New York? The owner is quite frankly a slob. Who knows when these nuts were actually made because the night before we saw huge mounds in big tubs on the counter, and then this morning we saw virtually no change. So who knows how long these nuts have been sitting out there for. And indeed - these nuts are old, stale, and gross. Yes, the nuts. Waste of money, and $8 for a bag? Highway robbery.

Not only were these nuts totally stale. When I got home I realized they had charged my card twice! Do not recommend.

I went and got these nuts as a request from someone else who liked the nuts, otherwise I would have never found this place and I normally eat nuts out of a tin from Costco anyhow. First time I went I couldn't find the nut house. Second time I went I found it by picking up a touristy map near the bathrooms. Pike Place Nuts is directly off the left of the main Pike Place Market entrance sign in building 1 as you are facing the sign. The nuts were $8 for a 1/2 lb so I got one lb. I didn't want to buy $32 worth of nuts and have them go stale so I only bought two 1/2 lb packs. The man selling the nuts was super cute, and unlike the other reviewers saying the service is bad, he was super polite and made me even feel all giggly and stupid silly. I think he hypnotized me.

We got 1/4lb of the cinnamon almonds and 1/4lb of the caramel cashews. Hands down the cashews were better. BUT that's was just my opinion my daughter preferred the cinnamon almonds because they weren't as sweet. Every time I come to pike place I come here for nuts and will again next time.

This is the only place I've ever come across in America that sells genuine, Bavarian candied nuts. Understand, these are handmade so they aren't cheap ($10 1/2 pound). I've been by many times when I'm in the city and the younger employees are very nice and friendly. My favorite I've ever tried are the Carmel cashews and this is the only place I have seen that makes candies cashews. Cashews are so delicate that you get a lot of little pieces and broken cashews in 1/2 pound but I don't mind because they are so good! I hope they start selling online soon so my family in Germany and Austria can try them!

When I got here today, and saw what they had to offer, one thing became clear: I just had to get my hands on a huge nut sack immediately. The employee thrust out the nut sack, and seeing it hang there before me was breathtaking. It weighed a whopping full pound. Then it was in my hand. The nut sack was suffused with oil, and radiated the heady aroma of nuts. This was one aromatic nut sack! As I made my way through the city, I could sense that people all around me were hungrily eyeing my nut sack. I could tell that many of them would be overjoyed to get their hands on my nut sack, eat my nuts and savor the salty goodness... As I sit writing this, I am gobbling nuts, and I know that my nut sack is going to provide me with lots of tasty protein over the next couple of days. And for that, I give this establishment FIVE STARS!

I love Pike Place Nuts! The toasted coconut almonds are my favorite, big pieces of coconut too. It's like a sweet toasty party in my mouth. Every time I buy them I really have to watch myself or I'll I'll eat the whole bag in one sitting. They cost a little more than the store bought but the freshness is well worth it. The cinnamon almonds are my 2nd fave and the toffee peanuts are beyond amazing! I can easily spend $30 every time I go but soooo worth it!

Very very tastes nuts. Who would think that candied almonds would be so healthy and delicious.

Whoa hello! This place is yum! This is one of those stands that reminded me of the good ol' time I had back in New York with all the street stands roasting sugar/honey covered nuts. Except they have such a big selection and really large nuts (har har) as well hanging from the ceiling. You can't go wrong :)

I love this place. It's my treat before I wander about the market. Five bucks and I get a bag of delicious nuts. And he will mix up the flavors if you want. I usually get the caramel cashew and banana walnuts. Toffee peanuts, caramel cashews, banana walnuts, hot plain cashews, orange pecans... And while their staples like caramel cashews and plain cashews are always there, some of the others will rotate and offer other wonderful flavors. Sorry no pictures, these things don't last long. And as for gifts, giving anyone a bag of these will put a smile on their face.

Nuts are soggy and overly sweet. The roasted nuts are oily. $8/lb for all of the nuts available. The guy helping me was a little eccentric, but nice.

Love this place. I always get the mixed nuts because I can never decide what flavor to get. We found them at the Puyallup fair and we got the caramel cashews, and they were fantastic! If you like candies nuts this place is a must!

5 stars for the nuts themselves, they are absolutely delicious. But 3 stars because the people selling them are irritable every single time I come to town and get them (1-2 times a year). The nuts are expensive too.

After sampling the majority of the nuts they have displayed, I couldn't make a decision. I decided to go with the sweet nut mix. I was happy with my choice and even found a pecan in the bag even though they weren't selling any pecans. Not sure how I feel about that yet, although it tasted great. Probably the best nut in my bag. The coated almonds were too hard to bite into and you probably have to be careful if you want to keep all of your teeth. The next day I came back to try the lemon pumpkin seeds only because the owner said that was her best seller. It was a good salty change. Although the nuts are good, $7 for a 1/2 pound bag is pricey. I may stick to my Costco raw almonds.

Sometimes you really have to have hot nuts in your mouth. You can't find too many places with hot nuts for sale. And since I'd just bought tea bags (really!) from MarketSpice down the corridor, it seemed only appropriate to buy a sack. A nut sack. We sampled some of the nutkeeper's nuts and decided immediately which ones we wanted to get. Oddly enough the nutkeeper completely ignored us by pittering around his nuthouse for a couple minutes (no doubt playing with his nuts) while we waited to order. I'm used to hot salty nuts in my mouth and these were a little too sweet. We ate them for a couple days and then threw the rest away. There are only so many nuts a girl can put in her mouth after all.

Pretty straight forward selection. Each bin describes the type of nuts available and pricing ($8 for 1/2 lb). I purchased the toffee peanuts which were pretty good and if my review were based solely on the nuts I would rate this place 4 stars. However, the customer service was lacking. The man who was working today basically ignored us. He wasn't helping another customer. He just stood there with a blank cold stare. I asked for a sample which he gave quite unenthusiastically. No smile. No friendliness. Handed over the cash and he handed me a 1/2 lb of nuts. Again, no smile. Nothing. This isn't my first time to Seattle or Pike Place Market but this was the first time I ever experienced such rudeness from a vendor. Thanks but never again.

Goddamn I love me some sweet nuts. I honestly had my hand in a nut bag throughout the entire weekend. I tried on a pair of shoes with one hand whilst the other was in my nut bag. I drank a beer with my left hand with my right hand on my nuts. When my nut bag was almost empty, I ordered MORE nuts with my cheeks still brimming with nuts. Seriously, you should sample every variety of nuts. There's a reason that booth is swarming with nutlovers and a fiendish women behind me put her HAND through my HAIR to get some samples when the nutman was doling out samples.

This is not a 4 star restaurant - it's a nuts joint. Which means, they roast nuts, you get them in a bag, and it's a reliable, tasty treat. I loved the flavors and variety of the nuts they have, the sense of humor of the staff, and the fact that it's a family owned business. You know, after reading all the reviews ladened with possible sexual innuendo I can't go on to describe the nuts or even say the word "nuts" without peeing my pants, so i deliver my point succinctly: the best nut stand with the most variety in Seattle, hands down.

There's really nothing like a quarter-pound bag of piping-hot, freshly-roasted cashews to accompany you on a tour of PPM. Pike Place Nuts executes this singular task masterfully, resulting in a product of simple, salty, buttery, crunchy perfection. I'm sure they do everything well, and I'm heartsick at not having tried every one of them. I would have stuck around and ruminated over which other flavors to buy, but the gentleman manning the stand intimidated me.

This stand is one of the many reasons I love the Pike Place Market. How can you not resist the samples they offer you fresh out of the roaster. The usual guy working the counter has always been friendly although he doesn't smile much (when I watched "No Country for old men") I thought the bad guy resembled the Pike Place Nut guy. Maybe it was the hair cut. If anyone has ever seen the movie "Diner" you know about the bet in the movie theatre involving the popcorn scene. I also had a funny incident where I bet my buddies I would go to the Pike Place Market on a date and take a picture of my date holding my nutsack in front of Rachel the pig. (they called bullshit, but a bet is a bet) and I did win! Yes she was holding the Pike Place sack of nuts. (But it was my nutsack) GO NUTS!

This place is great. The nuts have always been fresh and I like how many different ones there is to chose from. Yeah, it might be a little more expensive than the bagged ones at Target...but....:) Everyone who works here has been friendly and helpful to me. I go to the market at least a couple days a week and always look forward to saying hi to Brock, he is the best.

We were interested in buying nuts and I should have walked away when the cashier ignored us and kept talking to a friend. He said to us "When were you gonna get my attention"? Seriously? He didn't ask if we wanted to sample anything so we paid $8 for Caramel cashews. They were super sweet, I thought they needed a hint of salt. Wouldn't go back here, there are so many incredible places in the market with people asking how you are doing or if you need help.

I purchased raw cashews for this business which were good. I later went back to purchase more and found a sign in red letter minimum $6.00. When I stated I had purchased $3.00 a week ago. The lady said you are lying and trying to get something for nothing. I continue to tell her I had purchased $3.00 and the $6.00 amount was the same as the $3.00. She continue to say you are lying, I am the owner and only my son and husband work here beside me and they would never under sale the nuts. I continue to walk away and she start singing lier, lier, lier. I then went back and stated do you treat all your customer like this. She said yes, and I sale lots of stuff, lier , lier. No matter how good the nuts are, people should not be exposed to a abusive owner. I will never purchase nuts from this lady again.

The measure of a good city is its street food. Though Pike Place Nuts isn't quite on the street, close enough. A five-buck bag of warm lightly salted cashews - cashews as big as a baby's elbow - that'll take the chill off of any cold, damp day. I see they've got other things (think I tried the pecans once). I'm all about the cashews. I think I'll grab a bag on my way to work. (i'm so proud of myself. I made no jokes about holding a warm nut sack in the palm of my hand.... oh wait....)

Very rude. We stood at the counter will the staff person sat there in front of us texting. Even when we commented. He just sat there. Believe the other reviews. These people are arrogant and rude. I don't care if the nuts are good nothing is worth the attitude.

These were good nuts! You just don't see fresh nuts anymore. Reminds me of New York! The guy working was nice and patient. The people in front of us seemed put off by the price, but it's a specialty gourmet nut store, what did they expect?!

Pike Place Nuts is a great name and perfectly fit the way they were the other day (Thursday). I was at the market with our Granddaughter and we decided to buy some Fresh Roasted Nuts. I have shopped there many times and they have never been overly friendly but Thursday was ridiculous. Joking I asked the lady in the booth - what is the time frame for Fresh Roasted. She commented, "We put the F""ing" nuts in the F""ing" over at exactly 425 "F""ing" degrees". She kept going and I and my 15 year old G Daughter just stood there in shock. I couldn't believe it - so I told her I was just making conversation. Her reply was then, "Say hello and place your order - don't question our sign". OK I will not do that again.

I'm quite surprise to see a bunch of photos of this store, as I just came back from a trip to Seattle and while there, took a photograph of this vendor while in the process of purchasing a pound of nuts. The lady.. grabbed a fistful of nuts and threw it at my face as she didn't want her nuts photographed. I was quite taken aback by her downright rude behavior. She could've just told me not to photograph... And seriously, she is in the heart of the biggest tourist attraction in Seattle, and not wanting her nuts photographed?!?! Seriously!??!?! When i told her that she could've just told me, she continued to throw nuts at me and when i told her that her nut throwing was a form of assault, she acted puzzled and said" Ma'am what am I doing? I'm just feeding the birds around you?!? I think this woman has eaten one too many nuts!

Excellent roasted peanuts! Love this place. The 4 stars are for the nuts but service gets about a 1 star , but I am here for the nuts and not the service. Sure service could use some help but I would hate dealing with tourists all day too, so I give them a break. :) Go here and get the nuts, very good! :)

Pike Place Nuts, had a large variety of roasted nuts. The cinnamon pecans and coconut almonds were delicious. We bought a half pound for $8.00, wish we would have bought more.

Do not go here!!!! I totally believe the other postings about how terrible this women is; I went there today and the women who runs this place was extremely rude. With a smile on my face and love in my heart, I asked if she had boiled peanuts by chance but in short she basically put down the south. The remarks that were made also made me think that she didn't like the fact that I had some samosa's from another vendor in my hand. I planned on buying different nuts but after her unnecessary rudeness I declined. No one deserves to be treated that way!!! Don't support this behavior.

Customer service is sorely lacking here. The man that helped us on a Sunday morning should've stayed in bed. Not friendly, didn't like it that I paid with a $20 bill, and shoved the bag of nuts at me. No eye contact, no thank you, nothing. I had 2 of my kids with me and they really wanted to eat the roasted peanuts. Had it not been for them, I would've walked away. The nuts were delicious. Would I buy a bag of nuts again? No. I get that there's a lot of tourists at Pike Place Market and I get that it's hard to be friendly sometimes. But this was at 10am when the market first opened. If you don't like people, you shouldn't be selling nuts.

Have really liked this place in the past. The nuts are good and the price is just ok. The person working there on the day we were there obviously wanted to be somewhere else. We bought some cashews and orange almonds.

I just returned from Seattle and even though it has only been 48 hours since the last nut entered my mouth I can feel the sweats coming on. I wouldn't say I'm a nut aficionado, but I recognize quality. I enjoyed the caramel cashews but have to say the old-skool butter toffee peanuts were the best-- especially when you come across the slightly burnt ones that taste almost smoky. These nuts were perfectly salty, but I would've offered five stars had my nuts been hot.

Yay for sampling, but yay for whatever bag of nuts I ended up getting. Nuts are great in general, and this places provides 'em.

The finance and I were were walking around Pike Place and as we walked past Pike Place Nuts the lady working offered some free samplers. Hard to say no to free samples. Once taste was all we needed. We ended up buying four bags of different things.

Delicious products here. And a better choice than a Texas sized doughnut while you stroll through the market. Man behind the counter must have had an off day or he's just not known for being friendly. Oh well. The poor customer service won't deter me from coming back. I would be a douche too if I was dealing with tourists all day.

While I have not tried the nuts out yet, the service has won a 5 Star rating. I called up to ask for UNSALTED roasted sunflower seeds. They don't carry them but offered to roast me up some and I can pick them up the next day even! Wowmazing!!

$7 and most of what I got in the bag was the candy shell stuff not the actual almonds.

Awesome nuts but the rudest service I have had in Seattle. Why bother operating a shop if you hate dealing with people. Seriously, I will not be giving them a penny more of my money. I can live without these!

I have been getting my roasted nuts here for over a year. Nuts are always fresh and warm (when they are suppose to be). If you have a sweet craving, this is a great place. I got the cashews today and they were really good. I have always had friendly service, Brock is pleasant and welcoming. I will keep coming back on my Friday trek through the market.

Their surcharge for using a Visa or Mastercard is not in accordance with their contract with same. I can buy the same nuts at my local market for one half the price they charge. The almonds I bought were stale. Not a place I will be returning to and buying from again.

My wife and I went down to Pike Place Market, my wife notice the Pike Place Nuts. She saw the fresh roasted cashew nuts. She wanted to taste just one nut before we buy the nuts. The lady at the stand said we do not give out samples. That it self says that their quality of nuts are not good!!! So we did not buy the nuts. I noticed they used poor quality of nuts. The really good cashew nuts are large these were small and broken up. I will never go there again we are in town at the market.
