Piknik Town Market

The Piknik Town Market was my target all along, that is after I drop off the banana hammocks to Anaconda John out at the Hideaway for this weekend's Squirt-O-Rama down on the beach. The Piknik Town Market sure puts out a great sandwich, so good I got two! 5 stars all day long. ☆☆☆☆☆

What a great spot! My husband and I stopped in for lunch before we went to Armstrong Woods to take photos. The food was excellent and the service was above and beyond. Megs was so lovely-telling us how perfect the weather was for photos in the redwoods. Excellent merch there too! The gville shirt is one of my favorites and reminds me of this great town.

We stopped for a late lunch and got a muffin and two sandwiches. Both sandwiches were great. One was a simple baguette with ham, cheese, and honey. The other was a grilled cheese and ham sandwich on brioche. We enjoyed both of them. The blueberry muffin was average. Service was a little slow, but the staff was friendly.

Worst breakfast I’ve been served in a while. Biscuits fell apart when you tried to eat the $20 “loaded” sandwich. Included sliced boiled egg on breakfast Sando, instead of scrambled eggs, which was not stated on menu board. Iced mocha had powdered chocolate substance on bottom so you got chunks when drinking. “Shopping” was hilarious as a simple hoodie was over $100. 2/10 would not recommend.

OMG!! This place!!! My Aunt and I went. We had heard about the biscuits. We were greeted with a big smile and a quickly made coffee!! As we waited for the biscuits, we were able to sit and enjoy talking with the staff. Then the biscuits came, warm, and glistening with fresh jam. All talking stopped, lol. They were delicious! Warm, soft, but with a crisp and buttery crust. I cannot wait to go back through when on the area again!! If you are in the area, run to this place, and go hungry!

This place used to have the best chicken salad sandwich ever. Unfortunately it came under new ownership in the past year or two and the food quality has really gone downhill. I’ve tried three times to have that same excellent Colonel Armstrong chicken salad sandwich experience and it’s just always very mediocre, dry bread with a little scoop of uninteresting chicken salad stuck between it.

The very best. I discovered them the second day of my four day visit to Guerneville, never went anywhere else for coffee or breakfast/ lunch. The kindest people, great food, nicest place just to hang out and visit, ever:). And they were great to my little dog:) Thanks guys and girls, for making my sola visit to the coast so warm and wonderful. I’ll be back:)

Amazing food and service, very cozy atmosphere and great vibes. I had the bohemian sandwich and my husband had the BLT, both very tasty. Staff Maya, Veronica and Fatima were very kind.

What a yummy place! Ate here for breakfast with my family and we loved so much. The biscuits and scones are really yummy. Service is great. I would definitely come back here for a quick breakfast.

I had high expectations for this place due to all of the great reviews. However, I was sadly a little disappointed. Service was very friendly but if you are in a rush I would suggest a different spot. There were 2 people working and they were hustling but it still took awhile. The inside is cute and they have little gifts to purchase. They also have a great drink selection in the fridge. We ordered 2 sandwiches and were bummed. I ordered the headlands hiker and while the veggies were fresh and the hummus had a good flavor it was too much bread. The salad was also underdressed. My partner ordered the bohemian and the cheese was sadly not melted. It was also grated cheese which was different. It was nice that they have pet friendly outside seating and a few vegetarian options.

I have nothing but great things to say about this place. It's an adorable market with charming gifts inside. The food was super fresh and came out very quick. They have a few seats outside which was nice on a beautiful day. The store is also dog friendly. The turkey sandwich was heavenly. The meat, the cheese and the bread was all fantastic. Chefs kiss. We also ordered their famous biscuit Togo! Staff was friendly. Definitely stop by when in Guerneville

We got some food here to take with us as we kayaked down the river. The service is very friendly and their pastries are excellent. However, their sandwiches are underwhelming with very little filling. I was excited to try their Headlands Hiker sandwich which has beetroot humus and cashew kale pesto, but it didn't really taste of anything but the bread. If you decide to come by, I would recommend filling up on their baked goods.

Stopped by for a quick bite, and I couldn't be more impressed. The service was attentive and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything came out quickly and was fresh and flavorful. Definitely worth a visit--highly recommend!

What to do in Guerneville when it's between 3 and 4 p.m.? Head on over to Piknic they are one of the few places open. This is a cute venue where their sandwich menu weather breakfast or lunch delivers . I ordered the Smokey the Bear sandwich. It was supper yummy , excellent baguette , the warmed sandwich allowed for all the taste of the salami and the aioli to creat a taste sensation that was worthwhile and satisfying on a warm summer day. The staff are courteous and polite and super helpful .

I gave this place 5 stars because their biscuits and gravy was delicious! Biscuit was light and airy and they also sell biscuit mix to try to make at home. I loved all the small souvenirs and kitchen things you can buy here. The service is very friendly and efficient too!

One of my favorite places! The service here is above and beyond and the biscuits are out of this world!! Plus, they have lots of cute merch around the store. One of my go to spots!

I'm not okay. I'm foaming at the mouth looking back at my delicious biscuit sandwich. Best biscuits I've ever had. I ordered the Piknik BLT. Wow, the biscuit was so soft and fluffy. And the flavor of the biscuit was so rich. I really loved the flavor of the biscuit and BLT combination. Words really can't describe how great their biscuits are. You have to go try them.

Came here during the week of Thanksgiving and it was a really cool stop, had coffee, pastries, and sandwiches (which we got for lunch). They also sell some trinkets and biscuit mixes, granola, candles, etc. Sandwiches were decent, side salads had a nice vinaigrette to them. I listed 4 stars because their picnic seating in the store was wobbly / moved. If we were sitting still and not moving around a lot, this would have been just fine. But of course, kiddos were moving/shifting the bench like crazy and it made dining there a bit tricky. If you're in the area, definitely check this place out. It's in a convenient location in downtown and street parking was easy for us to find during the day of a holiday week!

Eating here, the deeply unpleasant sense that the proprietors of this establishment are managing to wring the most profit possible out of every dimension of the experience presses in from every direction: the sorely understaffed and overworked baristas attempting to sling a full menu and coffee bar with only two (maybe three?) people working on a busy weekend morning--so busy in fact, that they tragically forgot to present those of us ordering with a tipping option for credit card purchases as they rushed to serve wildly overpriced food that might have been good if it weren't so poorly prepared and served; the self advocacy campaign involved in getting a napkin, disposable fork, or condiment to go with food that was already served cold; the seating amidst high end retail--$300 lunch coolers presiding from on high as one considers whether to attempt to eat a "breakfast" of brittle egg burrito or cold and faintly garlic-smelling biscuit served next to a spreading pool of translucent jam. Occasionally paying $16 for a biscuit has its place, but doing it while being left with the overwhelming sense one is joining in scamming oneself and exploiting the young people working here before leaving hungry is an experience I'll go to considerable lengths to avoid repeating.

The place is cute and the menu feels exciting, but the food wasn't worth the price. Soup was pricey and my bowl was only half filled. Biscuit on the side was okay. My son's sandwich was underwhelming too. They do carry nice artisan food items to purchase from CA based companies. It's a good spot for the hot drinks but food could be improved.

I wish I could say that I was thrilled to be here, but I can not honestly say that! We ordered 3 cold cut sandwiches ($10 each) and 3 apple pastries ($5 each). The apple pastries were nice and flaky and buttery. I would recommend ordering them. They look like they were freshly baked there. The sandwiches were pre-made according to the cashier. The sandwich was nothing to remember or make an effort to come back for at another time. What made me not recommend this place is the following situation. One they are cash only business for the July 4th. We ordered our food and waited about 10 minutes. Then the cashier brought out the 3 pastries, which tasted grest! We were all complimentary about the taste. We waited about another 15 minutes, and then I noticed the people who ordered their sandwiches after us got their orders of 4 sandwiches delivered. I went up to the cashier to inquire about our order, and apparently they messed up our order! We had to wait another 30 minutes for them to get our sandwiches. The sandwiches were nothing spectacular for me to want to come back. They need to have more efficient system of running a restaurant business.

I came to Mags (the owner) with a request for catering only five days in advance of my event. Not only was she able to fulfill my order, but she was super responsive over email, answered all my questions, provided everything I needed, and the food was a massive hit! Customer service when I picked up the order at the restaurant was superb. Great place for folks with dietary restrictions, too. I can't say enough good things!

Awesome sandwiches that are a step up from ordinary ones; fresh herbs, quality bread, generous helpings of ingredients (for example, chicken in the chicken salad sandwich). They also make delicious, creamy lattes. Haven't tried most of their baked goods, but they look great.

Great place to pick up food and coffee. The owner Mags is great. I just started going there once she came. This cafe is children friendly and dog friendly people also

We worked with Piknik town recently to cater an all day event we held nearby and they were INCREDIBLE to work with. Super easy to communicate with, very flexible, obviously pros in the world of food service (they just know how to make recommendations and make things come together). The food was impeccable. We had a spread of breakfast pastries that were out of this world, for lunch we had an array of halved sandwiches. Our guests were mindblown by how good they were. And finally we had 80 cupcakes, a variety of flavors and toppings but all in the realm of "classic" and I have to say, they were some of the best cupcakes I have ever had. All this and Mags, who we coordinated with, was so awesome during delivery throughout the day. Top notch. THANK YOU so much for making our event so killer!

This place will be GREAT! I am a local of Guerneville and am so thankful this place is here to provide us finally with some fresh and delicious food and coffees. I got two ham sandwiches, they were phenomenal with a fresh salad, all made fresh! The gluten free bun was even so delicious!

Service was unwelcoming and rude when asked about the previous ownership. Menu was lackluster. The premade sandwiches are pricey.

Underwhelming. Hard boiled egg on a biscuit is dry and the only point is protein, no pleasure there. If you're serving up biscuits, I'm looking for something with some YUM factor. The biscuits didn't taste particularly fresh. They were tender though! We tried a few kinds. The bacon on one was hard and inedible. The sweet with the cream and strawberries and basil oil was tasty. The service is meh, they seem distracted, annoyed, bored. It's not a warm and comfortable place but it's fine. More industrial style. I liked big bottom market more.

Great place! Good coffee, had a delicious breakfast. They also some delicious Dutch snacks including poffertjes, stroopwafel and Gouda cheese. Friendly staff and a good selection of local products and fun gifts.

Great sandwiches & amazing staff!! Everything from sandwiches to soft drinks to cheese & charcuterie. Highly recommend checking this out this gem!

I love the new look! And the treats! This is a great lunch spot in Guerneville, my new go-to for sandwiches and drinks.
