"Park in Port Isaac and walk over to this modern timber and glass building with a large, wood-decked terrace, which overlooks the stunning cove where the famous Cornish pilchards were once landed. The menu offers sharing plates crafted from wonderfully fresh local seafood, with whole fish cooked over charcoal a speciality. The chefs have an impressive knack for incorporating intense flavours without overwhelming the purity of the produce – such as the roasted scallop with nduja butter." - Michelin Inspector

Had a superb lunch yesterday to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was outstanding and the two servers were really friendly and chatty. Price was on the high side but then you are paying for high quality local produce in a beautiful location so felt it was well justified. We live an hour away and will definitely be back!

Such great food in a beautiful location. We stopped by chance whilst hiking the coast path - we were originally planning lunch at Port Issac but so glad we stopped here instead! We ordered plates for sharing tapas style which was perfect. Great service, and didn't mind that we had massive hiking bags with us!

A fabulous meal in this cozy little restaurant with such friendly staff. Only just made it as we were the last cover of the day at the end of the season. Will visit again soon.

Went to Pilchards with the family for a late dinner. The food was absolutely superb, cooked to perfection and the cocktails were amazing. The atmosphere was beautiful and the waitress was very helpful and made our experience more enjoyable. She advised us on how to order as we were first time diners and the menu was more like a tapas. I would advise an order of a sharing platter with two sides. If you avoid a sharing platter and choose a small plate then two sides will be plenty enough for one person. I had a small plate of octopus and one side (cornish roast potatoes) wishing I'd ordered bread but my family shared their sides with me so I was all set. The price is what you'd expect from a Michelin star restaurant and the food is very much worth what you pay for it, faultless. Highly recommend!!!

Noticed this place recommended in the Michelin guide, and experience was far greater than I could’ve ever imagined. The food was simply spectacular, and incredibly tasty and presented so well. The staff were incredibly friendly and not to mention the amazing view of the harbour and the sea. It’s rare that I find a place that I am lost for words in terms of how good it was. Absolutely will be coming back out again when we visit next time. Also the price is really extremely reasonable. We have about eight dishes, and glasses of wine, and desert and it came to around £100. Would have happily paid more for the same quality of food. A real hidden gem

Fantastic food and really attentive service. It has a lovely cosy atmosphere. Everything we had was delicious and fresh. It’s a tapas style menu so served when ready but this added to the experience for us. It’s an open kitchen which we also liked. Very reasonably priced for the service and fresh produce we had. Would highly recommend

An absolute gem in a picturesque and peaceful setting. One of Cornwall’s finest, a must visit. Friendly service, great decor, amazing food, great music. We were totally impressed. Reasonably priced for the quality and quantity. Worked our way through most of the tapas items (recommended is 2-3 items per person, with a couple of ‘for the table’ items to start, desert, plus cocktails! All excellent! Will visit again next time we’re in town. Worth a detour from your planned route for a visit. We think the menu changes from time to time (which is great!) but note that the menu you read on a booking site might not reflect what will probably be most up-to-date on their website. Tip: arrive early if you can, both to secure a parking spot nearby (very limited!, or to park up the hill in the public car parks and take the short walk downhill. If you do end up being early (or leave needing a little walk!) take the time to have a walk up along the coastal cliffs, views are outstanding.

For a fish restaurant to stand out from the crowd in an area full of fish restaurants takes a very special kind of talent. From start to finish we had a wonderful meal in this outstanding little place - everything is to share. The Cornish Hot Shells were simply amazing, beautifully cooked mussels in a divine sauce with crab claws and a scallop on top - perfect to share between two. Chicken excellent too. Puddings were delicious, both the chocolate and lemon pots. Nice wines. Would highly recommend and very good value.
