Spotlight on Ireland's County Cork

"It's been a guesthouse and the village bookshop, among other things, but this cosy, proudly run restaurant has always kept its name. The concise daily menu lists generously portioned dishes prepared from local and foraged ingredients. The depth of flavors and the warm hospitality really stand out." - The MICHELIN Guide Nordic Editorial Team

We had Sunday lunch here. The food is amazing. Oxtail beetroot, smoked albacore tuna, hake courgette parcels, lemon sole stuffed with crab and ricotta, summer squash flower bhajis with masala potatoes, BlackBerry jelly with apple granita, chocolate cremeaux, I could go on and on. This menu is superb I kid you not. Locally sourced ingredients, everything listed on the reverse of the menu. It was such a pleasure to be there. The small very small staff are wonderful. And the drinks menu sings too.

Had an amazing experience at Pilgrim's. The restaurant has a stylish, rustic, European atmosphere to it. The food was excellent and the service was great too! A new favourite dining option in West Cork for us.

Lovely knowledgeable staff, gorgeous setting, superb food and wine. Such a treat, and I've been meaning to get there for a long time. Very welcoming on a chilly autumnal night and all Covid restrictions in place with the softly softly touch. Make sure you have your Covid Cert to hand, you will be asked for it. Fabulous three course dinner - €50 After pre dinner drinks of prosecco and Kinsale mead with gin we were recommended a gorgeous Portuguese red wine, 'Little Odisseia' It was fabulous and equally good with beef or fish. Still salivating over the Roaringwater bay mussels, the Angus rib-eye and that Templegall Cheese to finish. I'll post a photo or two for you, but not too many, don't want to spoil the surprise. Book it now!

Never been to a Michelin starred restaurant but I'd imagine it's something like this. Too many delights to describe in one review. Simply magnificent 🤤

Excellent! Michelin class food. We visited Enda McAvoy’s Laom in Belfast last year. The food here at Pilgrims was every bit as good, if not better. Highly recommended. Innovative, original menu and most importantly tasted fantastic.

Fantastic value . It’s such a pity Pilgrim is closing down . It was my first visit and went with the wine pairing . The standout dish for me was the Roast Aubergine and duck leg confit parcel . Every single dish tasted great

Was absolutely blown away by how good this restaurant was. By far the best meal we had the whole week in Ireland. The whole meal was flawless. The new potatoes out of this world. We have a young child and the staff went above and beyond to make our visit as pleasant as possible, they were just wonderful. Wish I lived nearer as we loved it so much.

Yelp
Pilgrims was THE best food in I've yet in all of Ireland. The farm to table food was exquisite. HIGHLY recommend. Every single bit was savory and memorable.
