The 15 Best Breweries In London - London - The Infatuation

"Pillars Brewery is painted with a massive black and white eye mural that stares deep into your soul. And it knows you want beer. Grab a crisp and refreshing Pillars Pilsner and sip on it while sitting among the tanks it was brewed in. Forget back support—the outdoor benches are where it’s at, at this Ravenswood Industrial Estate taproom." - jake missing, sinead cranna, heidi lauth beasley

I was lucky enough to be a judge at the recent London Amateur Brewer's Lager Than Life home-brew competition hosted by Pillars. The whole team are super-supportive of the home brew community and really bent over backwards to make sure the event was a success. Whilst there I had some of their Vienna lager which was absolutely fantastic, along with a pale lager, which, I guess, is their interpretation of an NZ Pills, that was super clean with a delicious hop profile. Pillars certainly brew some fantastic lagers, I ended up taking a few bottles of their Eisbock back home, I think they are one of the only UK commercial breweries to brew this style of beer. Thanks!

An incredible afternoon! Very informative yet fun, a relaxed brewery tour, with fantastic food pairings - will definitely be back with friends and family!

I love this place. We went as a group of four on a Saturday afternoon and drank amazing beers in the heart of the brewery operation. Pillars make excellent lagers and there is plenty of choice for people who like other sorts of beer. The people are informed and happy to explain the range.

Super hip venue tucked away in a corner of an industrial estate. Good range of pilsner, brewery on site and a couple of food vendors/trucks outside. Also classic British bar snacks inside. Nice secret spot to hang out

Popped in by chance. Lovely little taproom and brewery. The staff were fabulous taking time to chat and explain everything. Brewery specialises in craft lagers. Really nice.

I visited over the weekend with a friend for the Brewery tour and had a brilliant day out! Led by the fantastic beer sommelier Rob, we learned all about the different kinds of beer while sat down enjoying them with foods he had paired with each one (including veggie options!) The tour and tasting was completely conversational with an open Q&A and absolutely no snobbery! Rob even provided recommendations and pairings based on everyone’s favourite beers. The tour felt different than other brewery tours in that you learned about all kinds of beer beyond what they make in the brewery, as well as advice on how to pair foods with each one. Overall we tried 8 different beers, and with expert knowledge and top ups being offered all around we thought the tour was fantastic value for money. We stayed around afterwards to enjoy our final drinks in the sunshine. Whether you’re going for the tour or to enjoy some drinks with friends, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommend to anyone for an afternoon out, and with so much else going on around the estate you can easily make a day of it!

Another great micro brewery, with a couple of huge tv's and hardware etc... for gamers , plenty of seating around the brewing kit, massively dog friendly and great soundtrack to drink to, I do like the 60s though.... Cracking place. Lager was great too....
