Coleman Coffee Roasters Review - Waterloo - London - The Infatuation

"Coleman Coffee Roasters near Waterloo is that perfect-looking coffee shop that you might accidentally get talking to a stranger in. You’ll become firm friends over your shared love of terrazzo, smooth espresso, and Vichy Catalan sparkling water. You might also share something from their selection of pastries, sweet things, and snacks. Warning: if you’re planning this kind of scenario you should know that they close at 3pm." - Oliver Feldman

Just had a croissant, espresso, and cappuccino. Everything was wonderful and fresh. Service prompt and friendly. Google doesn’t have a value rating, but I always include that in overall rating. While all categories were 5 stars, I had to remove one overall star because I found the prices higher than other coffee shops. I do factor in that coffee prices have risen recently. Parked in a free lot a short walk away.

My favourite Waterloo cafe! The drinks are always so yummy (can taste the quality of the beans) and I love the seasonal offerings. Also love how airy and bright the atmosphere is. It’s a great study spot or place to catch up with friends.

Very relaxed environment, friendly staff, and the person taking my order was so nice they also recommended what they personally liked. Would definitely go back. Got the strawberry matcha drink and the ginger molasses cookie. Quick service too but because it wasn’t busy, 10/10.

One of my favourite cafés in Waterloo. Their drinks are great and I really like their strawberry matcha – super refreshing and perfect amount of sweetness. Always a solid spot to stop by. My only issue is that there isn’t enough seating, but that’s pretty common with a lot of cafés in the region.

WORST MATCHA I’VE EVER HAD!!! I’ve never tasted matcha so weak in my life and for $8???? Don’t let the pretty Instagramable drinks fool you, you’re better off going to an Asian cafe that does real matcha.

One of the best cafes in the area with a perfect location ! A walking destination from a 1 hour free parking lot. The coffee is well made, I enjoyed every sip of it! The place is students and work friendly Highly recommended

I hated everything about this place Ordered a mocha, a strawberry lemonade, and a chocolate chip cookie. First off, there was nowhere to sit—every table was taken up by university students camping out with laptops. They completely refused to take cash and only accepted cards, which is incredibly inconvenient. The drinks started off mediocre and somehow got worse with every sip—absolutely disgusting. To top it off, the cookie was stale and tasted like it had been sitting out for days. Overall, a total waste of money. Would not recommend

Yelp
We actually were in the area visiting and planned to go to Starbucks across the street but when we parked, I noticed Pilot Coffee Roasters so we decided to stop there instead since it's not usually within reach for us. As we walked in, I noticed the open concept and minimal decor and fell in love with it! We were greeted by both the employees working right away and I must say, the customer service was perhaps the best part of the entire experience. We were never rushed to order as they gave us plenty of time to debate the menu and when it came time to order, the gentleman was very thorough and helpful with the sizes of drinks, explaining the milk alternatives which are free of charge, order was clarified to ensure it was correct - all in all, you could feel he took his time to get things right for us. When our iced matcha beverages were handed off, he realized he didn't let us know they come Una's a default and there, he offered simple syrup or vanilla syrup of our choosing since we do prefer our matcha sweetened. After tasting, we told him two pumps wasn't sweet enough and he kindly added more syrup for us. I personally ordered the seasonal white chocolate matcha as a hot beverage which was tasty but a little too sweet - I would request for half sweet next time. I also got the sea salt chocolate chip cookie as I couldn't resist (it looked so good in the pastry display!) It turned out to be absolutely delicious - the edges being the best part. My mom said it paired well with her Americano which was made with their Heritage blend. Speaking of which, before my mom ordered her coffee, she was offered to try their brew before buying which was really helpful as it ended up being too acidic for her. The Heritage blend was much more her preference with the nutty notes. All in all, a nice place to study and/or grab a coffee and snack to go! I'd highly recommend anyone to visit if in the area.
