The 19 Best Haitian Restaurants In Miami - Miami - The Infatuation

"This place is owned by Radio Piman Bouk, which has its studio on the second floor of the building. This radio station has been a news resource for Miami’s Haitian expat community for decades, and eating here really feels like you’re part of an important cultural institution. The menu features a lot of Haitian standards done very well, like the ke bèf, or oxtail stew, which arrives bathed in a glossy tomato sauce with a kick of heat. The tassot kabrit (braised then fried goat) is also excellent—it’s crispy on the outside, very tender inside, and goes beautifully with pikliz, bannann peze, and diri kole." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino, carlos c olaechea

The 11 Best Restaurants in Little Haiti - Miami - The Infatuation

"Piman Bouk is an essential stop for anyone looking to get into Haitian food. It’s located right in the heart of Little Haiti, with a simple setup inside of wooden tables, low ceilings, and an air-conditioning unit that could use an update. But you can cool down with a soursop juice while you look over the menu, which reads like a greatest hits of Haitian food. The fried goat, oxtail, stewed pork—it’s very good—so maybe come with a couple friends who are down to split things. Just a head’s up: it’s cash only." - ryan pfeffer

My friends and I were visiting from NYC where there is a large Haitian population. I felt this meal surpassed many of the restaurants I’ve experienced living in Brooklyn. We got the fried goat, pork, and stew chicken. Everything was freshly cooked and each bite was so flavorful. We appreciated the restaurant was not crowded, and we enjoyed sampling each other meals. I HIGHLY recommend the pork. Melts in your mouth. Fair price and our waitress was very kind and sweet.

Food is very fresh and seasoned perfectly. It's a little small inside, but the service is great, and your order is prepared fresh. If your in that area stop by you want regret it

My wife and I wanted to eat in Little Haiti. She ordered the fried fish with fried plantain, rice and beans. I ordered the stewed fish with boil plantains, rice and beans. Both orders of food tasted horrible. The service was good. The waitress felt bad that I did not eat my food at all. The stewed fish stated bad, and filled with too much butter or oil.

We actually were headed to a restaurant across the street when we stumbled across this hidden gem. The other restaurant was closed so we looked up anything that was within a half mile and New Piman Bouk popped up. Yes, it’s a cash only place. Yes, the exterior looks like it needs some TLC. And the less than four point rating on google maps was an initial turn off. But when you walk in, it’s packed with Haitians speaking Haitian, so you know the food is going to be authentic. And even if it wasn’t for that, the smells are just heavenly. Hands down, this was some of the best oxtail I’ve had in a while. There are an insane amount of sauce that was included and let me tell you that was dome crack sauce. Super tasty. Not too acidic and not bitter. Just a deep and round flavor. We also got the fried chicken but we were so blown away by the oxtail that the fried chicken was an after thought. The chicken on its own was pretty darn good too. Seemed like it was double fried because it was super crispy like Korean fried chicken. We ended up dunking the fried chicken in the oxtail sauce XD This place is worth the stop. Ignore the haters on google maps and the lower rating. If you’re a foodie like me, we should try to help this business out by raising the score. Oh, and make sure to hug the chef for me when you go💛

If you're looking for proper Haitian food in Miami, this is the place you're looking for. Located in the Little Haiti neighborhood, this cash only place definitely has excellent food at reasonable prices. The fresh was extremely fresh and fried perfectly. It came with rice and peas and thick fried plantain slices that were both really good! Even the condiments, a kind of red gravy and another spicy sour sauce with cabbage were great, pairing well with the fish. This place definitely gives the IYKYK vibes.

The fish and plantains I got for breakfast was not good at all. The fish was all lemon and I couldn't eat it. The bean sauce was so watery it ran straight through the rice when we added on top. I will never go to this restaurant again.
