A decent refreshing stopover for boba drinks and light snacks.
Amidst numerous boba options in Chinatown, Pin Ming might not top the charts. Nevertheless, I came here a couple times to try their drinks and food. Their regular boba toppings were mediocre as it lacked chewiness. On the other hand, the strawberry pearls stood out – these little sphere added an unexpected fruity sweetness that elevated some of their drinks.
I also got to try some of their food, Popcorn Chicken and Fried Shrimp. Over-seasoned and quite salty, Popcorn chicken was a bit of a letdown. But the shrimp was a surprisingly good deal. Its batter was basic but perfectly crispy, and the shrimp was moist and creamy.
In Chinatown’s boba scene, Pin Ming might be at the lower end of the spectrum, but if you’re in a mood for some good snacks and decent drinks, Ping Ming might be a good choice.
