- Healthy and good at the same time?! - I tried their cookies for the first time and my gosh, I didn't know it's possible to have cookies that tastes both GOOD and HEALTHY! It's insane, but you know how you always feel guilty about eating Crumbl Cookies? Like you are 100% satisfied but 120% guilty about eating it (mostly because it's over 700 calories and I can never eat a cookie in one go)... But their cookies are like, 70% satisfaction with 20% guilt lol! I might have found my new favorite cookie place since I'd rather feel much less guilty about what I eat with a little lower satisfaction.

In the labyrinth of Kirkland’s strip malls, nestled between a burger joint and a sandwich shop, lies a cookie haven that could make even the most stoic Seattleite crack a smile. The aroma of freshly baked indulgence wafts through the air, luring unsuspecting passersby into its cozy embrace. The menu boasts a lineup of confections that read like a hipster’s dream: brown butter brown sugar bourbon spice, Bing Bling with cherry pieces, and the so-called “Miracle Cookies”—vegan, gluten-free wonders that defy the laws of dessert physics. Each bite is a revelation, a symphony of flavors that dance on the palate, making one ponder why we ever settled for subpar sweets. In a city obsessed with artisanal everything, this spot stands out as a beacon for those seeking sugary salvation.

Google
The cookies are unbelievably good in flavor and texture. Definitely some of the best I've ever had and instantly addicting. The owner is also very pleasant, and the store is small but a nice experience to visit.

Google
The owner is such an incredibly friendly person and supports other local and small businesses. The cookies are great and there's a nice variety of flavors. I cant eat soy protien or dairy. Im so appreciative that there are vegan (and gluten free) options that I can indulge in there.

Google
I love having Pinckney cookies in the neighborhood! The cookies are so delicious and I love that they also showcase other local businesses’ products in their store as well. If you’re in Totem Lake, stop and get a cookie, you won’t regret it!

Google
We got the miracle apple pie and miracle bing bling cookies. Both were amazing, especially for being vegan and gluten free. They had a few more options for vegans as well. I’ll definitely be coming here to try the rest of them. Appreciate that tip and tax are included in the price of the cookie.

Google
These are hands down the best cookies I have ever had. As an allergy sufferer, I never really got to eat cookies because most are made with eggs. I tried making some eggless cookies myself, and they were always flat. But not these. The "Miracle" cookies (and yes it truly is a miracle) has no eggs, yet it is delicious. Even people who have no allergies and have tried other cookies say these are the best they have ever had. Do yourself a favor and try these, especially if you are in the Seattle area. Michael (the owner) sets up at various farmer's markets, but you can also order online and either go pick it up at his "Warehouse" or have it shipped. Now that I'm done writing this, back to eating more cookies.

Tony

Google
These cookies are amazing! (Vegan & Gluten-free options of all the cookies) It's a local small business that supports other local businesses. I met the owner, Michael, and he's genuinely passionate about what he does. We'll definitely be coming back for more since it's dangerously close to our new home.

Yelp
We have enjoyed Pinckney's Cookies throughout the years at the various farmer's markets. It's nice to see that they have a brick and mortar set up in Kirkland next to one of our favorite restaurants, The Box & Burger. Of course, we got a variety of cookies to enjoy. They're delicious as ever. We compared the regular and GF double chocolate espresso and liked them both! It was also nice to chat with Mr. Pinckney during our visit.

Yelp
The cookies in this wonderful shop are absolutely delicious. When you read that they are the best around, believe it! I stopped in with a group of friends after lunch and we met the owner who was fun to chat with while he made us lattes. He also has gluten free and vegan options along with apple pie from the famed Pie Bird bakeshop in Seattle.

Yelp
Listen I am PICKY when it comes to cookies, they're always too sweet, too gooey too something you know. I heard about this place just generally from social media which is of course hit or miss GUYS THIS PLACE HITS!! So I tried a few because of course I'm gonna do that I had the chocolate chip 5/5 finally a decent classic chocolate chip that doesn't put you in sugar shock and taste so freakin' yummy. I'm not saying it's not sweet but it's a treat that's truly that The white chocolate macadamia 6/5 see neither I nor my husband are white chocolate fans but I love a nutty cookie and I forced him to take a bite OMG it was so good and didn't skimp on the nuts and it had a coconut after taste oh yum it's my new fav Double chocolate espresso 5/5 so this is a more fudgy cookie and I do wish it had more coffee but I'm actually eating this bad boy right now and I love it!! The cute little shop is very elegant with new local adds to the shelf all the time and the shop owner was so sweet and told us all about what the store offered, they even have waffles! will definitely be going back!

Yelp
I stopped by on a Friday afternoon to try an assortment of their cookies. Parking was easy with two spots at the front of the store specifically reserved for their customers. The store itself is clean, welcoming, and easy to navigate. The owner is also very kind and provided an overview of the available cookies. I tried several cookies which included the Pinckney Original, Double Chocolate Espresso, Ginger Molasses, and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut. All of the cookies were good, but my favorite was the Double Chocolate Espresso. It's described as a "brownie-cookie hybrid" which is definitely accurate! I recommend checking out this location or ordering online.

Yelp
Great vegan and gluten free options available here. I can hardly tell they're gluten free. Easily the best GF dessert I've had. I love their double espresso flavor. And I especially love that tax and tip is baked into the final cost.

Ava L.

Yelp
The cookies were amazing. We had a variety of cookies and they were so soft and chewy. We picked up closer to closing so our cookies were chilled but a few seconds in the microwave and delicious! We spoke to the owner who was enthusiastic and provided great costumer care. The store was well laid out and neat. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Literally was getting gas and decided to run over while my bf was pumping my gas before they closed and this is the best cookie I've ever had in my life im not even kidding and the worker was so sweet I didn't get her name but it's closing shift on 6/20, SO GOOOOOD

Yelp
I was looking for a place to grab a quick hot drink - and my eyes happened upon Pinckney Cookie Cafe. I've been trying to eat more healthy - staying away from cookies, and chocolates, my two greatest weeknesses. But... like a warm fire on a cold winter night, Pinckney Cookie Cafe's friendly red sign lulled me in - as if I were Caliban from Shakespeare's The Tempest: Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments Will hum about mine ears; and sometime voices, That, if I then had waked after long sleep, Will make me sleep again: and then, in dreaming, The clouds methought would open, and show riches Ready to drop upon me; that, when I waked, I cried to dream again. I didn't just buy one cookie. Or two. I almost bought one of each type - but... I reminded myself I'm trying to be good. So I bought 5. And just like the dreaming Caliban, the clouds did open, they showed riches, and when they those cookies were done: I cried to eat them again. I've eaten a lot of cookies. Ranked them many times over. There are a lot of good ones out there - but Mr. Pinckney has truly perfected his recipe. He's intentional with his ingredients, and knows what he is doing. At 70 years old, he's giving the world one of the best things you can give it: happiness in the form of a cookie. Eat them chilled, eat them warmed - however what you choose, the only wrong way is to say "no thanks."

Yelp
The vegan/gluten free "miracle" cookies are not good. Regular cookies are just okay. I don't recommend.

I'll be back very soon to try the local teas, chocolate, and coffees on top of his delicious cookies and waffles!

Yelp
Great store and delicious 4 different cookies. The worker was very friendly. Clean store.

Sarah D.

Yelp
I saw this shop on the 'too good to go' app and decided to give them a try. My daughter is allergic to almonds so I took the miracle (gluten free and vegan) flavors and my expectations weren't high but I loved 2 out of the 3. The original and bling bling were so good! I would absolutely buy them again. The third wasn't bad, just a flavor I wouldn't have chosen for myself. The owner was really nice too!

Brandon R.

Yelp
Honestly... the young lady in the shop could've been friendlier. She was nice but definitely needs some training. But the cookies that we went into purchase were frozen. ‍ nobody really wants to go into a cookie shop and eat frozen cookies and they didn't offer to warm them up. lol definitely disappointed. And honestly, I'm not the type of guy to typically leave reviews.

Yelp
Soft opening 8/9/2024. 12305 120th Ave NE, Kirkland, WA! Next to the Box burgers and Jimmy John's and close to FredMeyer.

Yelp
I am apparently on a cookie phase where I see a place selling them I want to try :) I heard a lot about this company over a few foodie group so was pleasantly surprised to see them at the UW farmers market. Looks like the guy that is there is the founder and he seem to be pretty busy. Busy enough to not be able to restock the cookies. We managed to get 4 cookies: apple pie, dark chocolate oatmeal, classic chocolate chip and the double chocolate espresso. The cookies flavors are ok in my opinion because I'm not a fan of soft cookies. So if you are a softie fan, these are a must. I do like the dark chocolate oatmeal and apple pie cookies a lot though because the complex texture. Oh and they had a deal where if you buy 4, you get 2 of their brown sugar bourbon cookie, and they were decent. Overall, I can see myself ordering the oatmeal and apple pie cookies again here And the price is so much more reasonable than a lot of places

Yelp
I discovered Pinckney Cookie Cafe through Yelp's recommendation for Black-Owned Businesses that deliver. Who wouldn't be curious about a 5-star Cookie Cafe that also offered plant-based/vegan and gluten-free options? I placed my online order on Monday and received the cookies Friday, nicely packaged in an adorable giftbox and carefully nestled into a larger corrugated box for shipping. Everything arrived quickly and in perfect shape for eating! I ordered a custom box, one of each variety of the "Miracle Cookie" line, which are all vegan and gluten-free. 1. Original 2. Chocolate Oatmeal 3. Bing Bling 4. Classic Chocolate Chip 5. Double Chocolate Espresso 6. Apple Pie Some of the cookies had a moist, almost cake-like texture, chewy and super tasty! The others were simply chewy and ultra soft-baked and too easy to eat!! Their style of cookies are a smidge on the sweet side for my taste (but most cookies are when I'm not the one doing the baking). Part of the wonderful texture of these cookies is attributed to their 10-ingredient flour blend called Miracle Flour. Vegan cookies aren't too tough to make, but. BUT. moist, gluten free cookies (vegan or not) are not-so-easy to accomplish without the cookies getting crumbly or having a grainy texture due to the alternative flours. Pinckney's Miracle Flour lives up to the name. Also, there is something to be said when a bakery decides to make Chocolate Oatmeal Cookie as opposed to Oatmeal Raisin. Who wants raisins??? That's like getting a box of raisins trick or treating!! Just. No. Chocolate Oatmeal was what told me I could trust this bakery (haha) I thoroughly enjoyed each one of the cookies ordered. My favorite was the Classic Chocolate Chip and Double Chocolate Espresso. As for the Apple Pie, I personally would have preferred a ton more spice but the cookie was still fabulous. It reminded me of a sweeter version of a Clif Bar. I would definitely order again now that I know which cookies I really love. Treat yourself to a cookie combo box!! No excuses, they ship nationwide!

Yelp
I'm so happy I ran across Pinckney Cookie Cafe a few Sundays ago at the Ballard Farmers Market, I had a wonderful ginger molasses cookie and had regrets of not purchasing more. I haven't been able ton make it back to the Sunday market since and was happy find out I could order online. I placed the order on Saturday and it surprisingly arrived today; really quick considering the holiday shipping delay. I ordered the Pinckney Dozen, an assortment of the the favorites. My husband and sons decided to help themselves, and insisted I order more as soon as possible!! I really appreciate that each cookie is prepackaged, and can be frozen if you don't have a houseful of boys who devour all things good! No matter where you live if you love a great cookie, definitely order from Pinckney Cookie Cafe; I highly recommend!!

Yelp
Love these delicious and moist cookies from Pinckney! Our favorites were the double chocolate espresso, the brown sugar bourbon, the ginger molasses, and of course classic chocolate chip. Nice strong flavors, but not overpowering. Bought a dozen for $30 which I felt was a good deal for the quality and quantity.

Fritz K.

Yelp
These cookies are delicious, especially the dark chocolate oatmeal, Pinckney original, and ginger molasses. Shipping is fast and easy. Great for gifts!

Donna S.

Yelp
I read the reviews before buying and it's not that great. There are a lot better cookies out there.
google avatar

Erin W.

Yelp
I loved the customer experience and the cookies! I got brown butter bourbon, double chocolate espresso, and molasses and they were all out of this world delicious. I'm visiting from atlanta and will be ordering cookies online to share with my family back home, they're that good.
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
Got the gluten free and vegan cookies during the farmers market today. Got the double chocolate and the original. AMAZING. I wish I had bought more the minute I ate my first one. Texture was great. Flavor incredible. And they tasted so fresh. The original was just out of this world.
google avatar

Zach O.

Yelp
When I say that these are the best cookies you will ever have, I mean that with no exaggeration whatsoever! Every cookie at the Pinckney Cookie Cafe is so damn incredible. But the Brown Butter Brown Sugar Bourbon Spice is worth dying for. No other cookie I've had compares to this cookie. If I could live off of this cookie forever, I would. I'd even be content with developing diabetes from it. If you aren't sold on my recommendation yet, then hopefully this helps... There are vegan and gluten-free options! Like what?! How can it get much better?! If you have the luxury of trying these cookies, you won't be disappointed and your life will change forever!

MK S.

Yelp
I needed a good vegan and gluten free option for a small get together and I've heard great things about the Miracle cookies, so I ordered a dozen. The cookies themselves were a hit, but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The FAQs on the site says, "We offer curbside pickup Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 4:00 and 6:00 PM. Your order will be ready on the Curbside Pickup day 2 days after you place it (e.g. order Monday and your order will be ready Wednesday, order Tuesday and your order will be ready on Friday, order Friday and your order will be ready on Monday, etc.)" Since my get together was on Thursday morning, I placed my order on Monday, so that I could pick up the cookies on Wednesday afternoon and they would still be fresh for Thursday morning (the FAQs also say that the cookies need to be refrigerated if not eaten within a day of arrival). I was surprised to get a notice on Monday at 2:30 pm that I needed to pick up my cookies that day between 4 pm and 5:30 pm. It was very short notice for a short pick-up window. I couldn't change my schedule to pick-up on Monday and called to find out what my options were. I told them I couldn't pick up the cookies during the time period required and asked what my options were and explained that I had expected to pick them up on Wednesday based on their FAQs and that they were for a get together on Thursday morning. At first they said they could freeze them and I could pick them up on Wednesday, so I had some questions on whether it would be better to refrigerate rather than freeze, etc. After I asked my questions, they offered to remake my order fresh on Wednesday and said I could pick them up on Wednesday. Note: I did not request this and would not have requested this, they offered to remake the order. I thanked them and picked up my cookies on Wednesday. When I got home, I opened the box and the cookies had obviously been frozen. There was condensation on the plastic wrappers and some of the cookies were still frozen in the middle. I made sure to store them in the refrigerator rather than leaving them out as I would have if they were made fresh. While the product is good and are 5 stars on their own, I have a hard time doing business with a vendor that would be unnecessarily deceitful and/or think so little of their customers, believing we wouldn't be able to tell if a product had been previously frozen.
google avatar

Shelly L.

Yelp
Got the cookies in Ballard Farmers Market. I got two in the beginning, tasted those and immediately came back to get more flavors to try. These are not as sweet as other cookies, which is so balanced. I love the Gluten free dark chocolate oatmeal the most, crunchy outside and moist inside, the least sweetest one as well. Their normal cookies are less sweet as well but I prefer the flavor of the GF ones. You can't even tell they are GF.
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
My friend sent me an assorted box of Pinckney cookies for my birthday. I love how they offer both vegan and regular cookies. The cookies aren't made with any preservatives. I love the variety of the cookie flavors.
google avatar

Yelp
The best cookies in Washington by far. Heck the entire US.. I've loved these cookies since the launch and they have only gotten better over time. The brown butter bourbon gives me life and I could eat it every say of my life. Plus Michael is such a genuinely amazing human being who is spreading love through cookies

Allie S.

Yelp
We ordered a dozen of the regular cookies in multiple flavors. They were not special. Each was individually wrapped and sealed in plastic. This made them all soft, no crisp. Compared to cookies from Macrina bakery, Deru market, Met Market, and so on and so....these were not at all good and way over priced for a so-so bakery item. I wonder if the gluten-free, vegan ones are extra special? If not, I can't imagine why anyone would buy them.
google avatar

Stephanie A.

Yelp
I do not even have adequate words to. Describe these cookies! Wow! Received a box of them today and ate the Brown butter Brown Sugar Bourbon Spice one immediately, I am in heaven. These are a must try!
google avatar

Vanessa P.

Yelp
I found these cookies 4 years ago and I haven't had a better cookie since!! Seriously. Michael Pinckney, the owner and operator is a cookie connoisseur (and also just a great guy). You can tell he's passionate about what he does after just one conversation. He's got cookies with dark Belgian chocolate, coconut, bing cherries, and even bourbon! My favorite is the miracle bing bling. OH did I mention he makes VEGAN AND GLUTEN FREE cookies??? That's the "miracle" line because it truly is a gift from god. I keep a supply on demand. They hold up well in the freezer and taste delicious cold or heated up - they retain their texture and taste freshly baked after a quick heat up! I don't even bother buying other cookies anymore, because after all this time I haven't tasted anything to even compare. It's 100% worth a try if you are still reading this and are still undecided.
google avatar

Katie D.

Yelp
The slogan for Pinckney Cookie Cafe is "You're going to love these cookies!" and I wholeheartedly agree. These cookies are so tasty! I recently ordered the Original Assortment cookie box (they ship anywhere in the country!) and was impressed with the high quality and flavors of the cookies. My husband and I have had a hard time picking a favorite - the Pinckney Original may have a slight edge though. These cookies freeze well and are easy to thaw/heat up for the fresh-out-of-the-oven taste. I am eager to try the Brown Sugar Bourbon Spice, hopefully at a farmer's market soon. Thanks for creating amazing cookies, Michael!
google avatar

Khadijah A.

Yelp
Cookies aren't great and customer service is horrible. The owner did reach out to me to send me a fresh batch of cookies after receiving dry ones. The new ones arrive fresh but we're not tasty. 2 stars for the owner trying to recover.
google avatar

Tina D.

Yelp
Pinckney's cookies are simply the best. You can really taste the difference in Michael's use of high quality ingredients. A simple chocolate chip cookie is one of my favorite desserts, and having gone gluten free and dairy free was a challenge. But the miracle chocolate chip cookie is exactly as advertised - none of that grainy, flavorless, or overly-coconut-y taste you're used to in GF desserts. Just incredible. I told myself I couldn't leave Seattle because I'd miss these cookies too much.. luckily Michael ships to CA so now I get my cookie boxes delivered. You must try them!
google avatar

Jeff H.

Yelp
Michael Pinckney makes the best vegan cookies I've ever had. Few people know how to make them--they come out as a substitute for the "real thing." But Michael is magical, and his vegan cookies are to die for. His cookies' sweetness can be found in him as well--he's very kind and a delight to chat with. The only thing I blame him for is completely negating the caloric burn of my workouts!
google avatar

Yelp
Every glowing review this place has is 100% accurate. Best cookies, best service, you just have to try these cookies. I ordered a dozen to be shipped to me when the shutdown first happened but unexpectedly had to move across the country due to military orders. The owner was so kind and gracious and made sure my cookies were delivered to my new address. They were fresh and huge and delicious and OMG I'm gonna go order more now. The bourbon brown sugar one was so good but don't sleep on the chocolate chip! Best chocolate chip cookie I've ever had.
google avatar

Colleen M.

Yelp
I ordered a dozen cookies with the intention to share with friends, but only 3 got shared as I ate the rest! The snickerdoodle cookie was the best I've ever had! It was slightly crispy in the edges, soft in the middle and melted in your mouth. Yummy.
google avatar

Jesena M.

Yelp
OMG, those cookies are soooo good! My co-worker brought in a whole box and I tried two flavors, oatmeal chocolate and the regular chocolate cookie. Simply amazing! I know where I'm going this weekend to get some more. YUM
google avatar

Midori N.

Yelp
My friend gave me a few cookies to try and LOVED them! The Miracle Apple Pie was a great gluten-free option, the Pinckney is a must-try: chocolate, coconut, walnut goodness! The Bling Bling is also tasty. I ate them from the packaging but I think you could reheat in the microwave for a few seconds for a warmer cookie. Will be back to order some for myself or as a gift soon!
google avatar

Reiko B.

Yelp
I placed 5 orders to be shipped to friends early on in covid times. They all raved about them and even the vegan/GF ones. Love supporting a local business.
google avatar

Jen W.

Yelp
As I look for Black owned businesses to support, I learned about these cookies from a colleague. I have NOT eaten them yet, but broke down and ordered myself a package to try and will review again after that. This review is to appreciate this business for their outstanding customer service and the appreciation received from the recipients of the gifts/prizes I have sent out. For work - I have ordered them for a sympathy gift, virtual game prize winners and a care package to our summer interns as they returned to school. Personally I have sent them as a thank you to my sisters caregivers as well as care package to family. So impressed with quality, speed, not to mention feeling good that some of each purchase goes to a great nonprofit. So looking forward to trying one soon!

Yelp
Favorite cookies in Seattle! Dark chocolate oatmeal is my first choice but I've never been disappointed with any cookies from Pinckney.
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
Tried two cookies at the Ballard Market and I'm simply smitten with this product. I had to order a batch for mid week delivery. Incredible flavor, freshness, story. These cookies are like a big hug you just never want to let go of. So darn impressed.

Aaliyah G.

Yelp
You NEED to come here. Oh my gosh. The consistency of the cookies is so good. A little crispy/hard on the outside but still chewy on the inside and not dry. We spoke with the owner at the market and he was so sweet and told us about the premium chocolates he uses. You can taste the quality 100%. Bing Bling! And the Pinckney Original were so delicious and unique. Please support this business!!
google avatar

Kim R.

Yelp
Snagged a Snickerdoodle and Brown Sugar Bourbon Spice cookie at the Ballard Farmers Market and WOW. Just wow. Will be back soon to get cookie dough. So good.

Emily C.

Yelp
The miracle cookies are literally the best gluten free cookies ever. The miracle bing bling and the classic are to die for! Highly recommend trying these amazing cookies!
google avatar

Penny S.

Yelp
We're so lucky to have these awesome cookies in Seattle. They are the perfect balance between crunchy and gooey and the flavors are so unique and tasty. My favorites are dark chocolate chip with orange and chocolate chip with bing cherry. They even sell them in frozen rounds for you to bake yourself! I'm so thrilled everytime I'm lucky enough to find Michael Pickney and his great cookies at a local market.

Lu S.

Yelp
Cookies are fabulous, but they left me high and dry for a holiday order, cutting off guaranteed delivery the same day I ordered and not notifying me, nor responding to a number of emails and messages. Can they handle a large volume of orders? I sure won't be buying from them again.
google avatar

Sarah H.

Yelp
These cookies are ridiculously good. Had them at the Ballard Farmers Market today and every flavor I had was good. The miracle cookies are vegan and gluten-free and were super decadent and chocolatey... how is that even possible?
