Google
Amazing in town butcher that local restaurants rely on for choice cuts. Some really creative and delicious smoked meals are available and are phenomenal. Reviving the dying art of charcutery and butchery, you must visit if you love meat! Local pickles and sauces, also.

Frank P.

Google
Bought a few different types of sausage (brats, andouille, chicken, sweet and hot Italian, Tasso ham). So far all were awesome. So happy to have a real butcher in Atlanta. Being from NY. That is one of the major things missing down here. Look for the green egg or you will drive right past it.

Jeffrey

Google
Went for the first time on Saturday, and I could not recommend more highly. Rusty was so helpful, and he had a great selection. We bought several things and though we've only had the brined pork porterhouse so far, I had to go ahead and write a review. It was the best pork chop we've ever eaten. So incredibly juicy and tender - will be back for more very soon. You just can't get this kind of meat at a grocery store!

Diana B

Google
Been going there for years, and have to say- their packaged meats are delish (lamb merguez wowowow!!), chorizo yumm, chicken and of course their steaks and pork chops always so fresh and good. Their hours also customer-friendly. But best of all- the owner and his staff. He literally gave me his own personal batch of bone broth that he was making when he heard I was trying to buy bones to make a broth for my sick family member. Kindness never goes out of fashion, and whenever I’ve gone in there the staff is always so chill and helpful. It can’t be easy running one’s own business and being a butcher, so this community is lucky to have this gem.

Google
Normally, I would say a pork chop is nothing to write home about. But, I am enthusiastically endorsing the bone in pork chops from Pine Street Market. Seriously the best I have ever had whether dining out or cooking in.

Alex Jeremy K.

Google
This is not my opinion nor a preference. This is a fact. Pine Street Market has the best bacon on the planet. If you haven't tried their bacon you are doing taste buds a disservice. All of their food is incredible. Pimento cheese and chicken salad is superb. Ten out of five stars. As an added bonus the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended. I love this place.

Skyler

Google
The quality of their meat is insane, it's SO GOOD. Everything I've tried from here, from their ham to their sausages to their cured meat is perfect. Not only is the meat incredible (seriously, go pick up some bacon), the staff is ridiculously friendly and clearly enjoy what they do. I am totally fine with making the 20+ minute drive to Pine Street Market, they're well worth it!

Jennifer H.

Google
We placed our order and I was able to pick it up at my convenience. When I got there, they served me quickly and efficiently. I will be purchasing more in the future.

Yelp
Oh my God when I tell you this place is awesome! Believe me! The pimento cheese is chef's kiss! Summer Sausage is chef's kiss! Bacon Jam is chef's kiss! Just everything is awesome!!!

Yelp
One of the best features of living in Avondale Estates is having the Pine Street Market nearby. It's like having your own personal, well stocked larder. Everything is amazing. We've tried everything from skirt steak to filet mignon to bacon, summer sausage, smoked salmon, and foie gras. Every time we get anything from there, it's always top of class. On Sundays, they regularly have fresh samples in there, right out of the Big Green Egg. The people that work there are super friendly and knowledgeable. Can't recommend this place enough.

Yelp
I didn't take a picture of the in-package meat, but here is a picture of the cooked FRESH sausage & bacon! The store bought gives me the worst heartburn (TMI, sorry). This is a heartburn-free strip of bacon right here!!!! My hubby was so impressed with the actual flavor of meat without the extra "stuff" in pre-packaged meat... we have a happy hubby!!! This was a gift from my mom so I don't know how much this was, but I would say worth it!!!

Yelp
I was in the mood for a great steak to cook on the grill. I have followed Pine Street on Instagram, so I decided to check them out. I got a boneless ribeye, at a shocking price of $33 a pound !!! Grand total was almost $40. Yikes !!! I got my grill up to about 500 degrees, seared both sides, then turned a burner off and baked to about 140 degrees, then covered it to rest. The steak was absolutely delicious !!! The flavors ... !!! And I feel confident to say one of the best steaks I have ever had !!! There is no comparison to chain grocery store steaks. I tried the smoked bacon samples ( actually I had two samples) while waiting ... awesome !!! I don't have beef much, but when I do, it will be from Pine Street. If you like quality, this it.

Yelp
Oh my gosh, I'm disappointed in myself for not trying this place sooner. Very cool little market Delmonico steak, Ribeye, and some ground beef. Everything I got from here has been excellent and I have to say that it's been fresher than any of the big box supermarkets. All of this goodness with the prices right around the same so there's no need for me to buy meat from Publix or Kroger again. Especially in these times it always pays to shop local, pay them a visit.
google avatar

Ann W.

Yelp
Great little Meat market. We purchased the Special Harvest sausage that was highlighted during the Avondale Wine Walk. Very juicy and flavorful. Prices are a little high but it's all made on site with care. Stop by and see what catches your attention. We also tried the Chipotle sausage, pimento cheese both were great as well. Shop small!!

Yelp
I have never had a personal butcher, but this was as close I a got to my own butcher. Rusty and the team were wonderful. I learned a lot and being able to take home some fresh meat was a highlight of the visit. Sausage, chicken, pork and more. You have your choice of the good stuff. All of the good stuff too. Humanely raised meat is what they stand for and sell. Make sure you stop by and get that bacon jam.
google avatar

Yelp
This little butcher shop is INCREDIBLE! I love to cook and I'm so glad my bf suggested that we check out this place on a random Saturday. So far we have tried the delmonico, boneless ribeye and the smoked brisket. I can't wait for this pandemic to be over so we can go and take some of their classes- super excited to learn how to make sausage!! Thank you pine street for ensuring we eat good while at home.

David T.

Yelp
I had the wonderful experience of visiting a friend's family in Puerto Rico a while back. They have the most decadent cut of pork I have ever witnessed even though my family has been in the BBQ business since 1936. It's called Kan Kan. It has the pork chop, rib, bacon , and rind/skin on one piece. You fry it in lard! It is the ultimate pork experience!!! Two of the brothers work here on my crew and said they couldn't find the cut. I said hold my beer! I made 2 calls. The 1st one recommended Pine Street! Yep!!! Made it happen!!!!

Yelp
If you haven't been lately The Pine Street Market has upped their game. Check out the online menu for what they are doing in a given week. My personal favs are the bacon, the spiced pear sausage and the Toulouse sausage. I'm looking forward to trying the crepinettes.

Yelp
Everything is better with bacon...unless the bacon is no good. But almost any bacon is usually fine with me. Not anymore. PSM is an excellent source for the best Applewood Smoked Bacon to ever cross your lips. Is it succulent and almost sweet due to its lack of saltiness. I like salt just as much as the next gal, but seriously most bacon causes you to retain water and you can only eat so much. The bacon here is perfection. I'm ashamed to say I ate 5 piece with my brunch on Sunday and I NEVER do that. I also tried out the Spicy Paprika Salami. Considering my love of all things salami, I have a pretty tough palate to please. This salami is spicy with an explosion of flavor between the paprika and the pop of garlic to the wonderful finish of Pinot Grigio. De-lish! I highly recommend you take the time to go by PSM and grab some bacon and an assortment of salamis (and sausages and cheeses). I cannot wait to go back and get more goodies. Next on my list - pancetta and a couple more salamis! This is definitely worth the trip.
google avatar

Yelp
We came over here after finding them on yelp. obviously we had to try the bacon and yeah it was amazing. Its important to note that they only deal in pork but the prices are extremely reasonable. we got salami , hot dogs and everything was awesome. They work with a local farm and they also have cooking classes coming up soon, definitely buy locally and support these guys, I know I will be much to the dismay of my vegetarian wife.

Yelp
Oh my gosh - what a fantastic place! You can order a pork loin roast if you're going to make an old-fashioned Pork and Apple pie and they'll have it ready for you. Or you can bop in after work and get a pork chop that once cooked, is tender enough to eat with a spoon. I'm not kidding. I don't mind eating meat, and when it is locally sourced and humanely treated it truly is that much better. The meat is frigging delicious, and I've not been surprised when I've come in to get bacon and found them sold out. Their sausages are seasonal and I learned how to make bangers and mash because they had bangers once. Oh, and they have a sausage made with pears - absolutely delightful. Dried as well as ready to cook, their sausages have a uniqueness and a taste to them that you can't find in a grocery store. One other thing that intrigues me is that they offer classes in meat cuts - you can learn how to be a butcher and what cuts are what, how to cut meat, and even how to make your own sausage. It makes the act of eating meat all the more personal and definitely brings the circle of eating full circle.

Yelp
If the Unusual Meats class is ever offered again, sign up immediately. This interactive, chef taught class was top notch. Rusty Bowers, owner of Pine Street Market, puts the class together and offers up the market. He did the tour and taught us about the market and their vision. He also keeps the class flowing and offers up anecdotes and stories about his past interactions with the chefs. The class takes place in the back of the butcher shop where the giant smoker and the meat aging fridge live. There were four chefs who each demonstrated a dish. George Yu (Suzy Siu's Bao) started us out with Peking Duck. He demonstrated parts of the three day process required to prepare excellent peking duck and then served it in steamed buns. Terry Koval (Wrecking Bar Brew Pub) was next with spicy, shrimp sausage. Because I live part time on Tybee Island, this recipe and the techniques are something I will use over and over. Andy Gonzales (Steinbeck's) cooked adobo rubbed goat which he layered into tortillas. I had been intimidated to cook goat but I will be no longer. Nick Leahy (Saltyard) finished out the class with a grilled octopus and citrus salad. I didn't think I was going to like octopus but I loved it! The grilling of this subtle seafood with the citrus and crunch of the salad was a perfect dish. Throughout the class there were opportunities to assist chefs, ask questions, interact and taste all the dishes. I've taken many cooking classes but this was my favorite by far. Kudos to all the chefs and to Rusty! So as not to only talk about the class, the butcher shop is excellent too. I have bought meats, sausage, etc from them on multiple occasions. They by responsibly raised, local meats, eggs, etc. The difference in the taste is noticeable.

Alex A.

Yelp
If you haven't taken their classes, you're really missing out. It's a great way to learn, have fun, and connect with great people over great food. It's a genuine experience with great teachers and really getting to know your butchers. Can't wait to see them do more.

Yelp
I love Pine Street! It's such a cool place with good selection and excellent cuts. Some of my favorite things that they carry: -Burger booster- smoked bacon filler to mix in with your burgers. -Bacon - as you can see from other people's posts, their bacon is second to none. -Bacon ends - These are occasionally in the side fridge. These are fantastic for side dishes with bacon (i.e. brussel sprouts and bacon) or soups. One of my favorite things they offer is the prepared BBQ. They only do it occasionally on their Big Green Egg, but it is heavenly. My best advice is to like them on Facebook so you can see what specials they are carrying.

Yelp
I had been trying to become a vegetarian. One recent Saturday morning, i was walking my dog in Avondale Estates, when suddenly the smell of smoked meat lured me down tiny Pine st. Fast forward to 1 smoked pork chop, 1lb of bacon, prosciutto, 4 lamb merguez, 2 boxes of pimento cheese (with bacon), and various other goodies later, i decided to make this a regular stop. I'm very grateful to the various animals who give their life, as well as to the Big Green Egg and proclaim out loud "I LOVE BACON!"

C S.

Yelp
There is nothing better than having a great butcher. We are so lucky in the Avondale-Decatur area and neighboring neighborhoods. Hands down best butcher and cheese shop and yummy food in ATL. There is a reason some of the finest restaurants in Atlanta source and name their PSM charcuterie platters. We get requests and have to take the bacon, brats and various salamis to our friends and relatives when traveling, and PSM can ship too! Everyone loves the picnic and lavender cured dry salamis for cocktail nibbles any time of year. Be the envy of your next Chastain event. If local - you should know about the cult following their franks get - simply stated, there is not tastier hot dog option in the metro area, likely the state and maybe even the whole Southeast. Yes, Patak is good. But this is better. Seriously. Cannot really describe the incredible difference. Buy one, grill it and it will change your life.

Yelp
When I approached this building you wouldn't know this was a meat purveyor. That is, until you get about 5 feet from the front door. The smell of the hickory and apple wood permeate everything. If they made a candle that would infuse my home like this, it would sell out quickly. I entered the doorway and immediately sat my eyes on a huge, freshly smoked pork belly, still on the hook. Rusty Bowers, chef and owner, offered me a slice - it melted like butter. THIS is where some of the best chefs in Atlanta and the surrounding area get their cured meats/salumi/chartcuterie. The list of restaurants that he supplies is long and impressive. He explained in detail each product, allowed me to sample and take it all in without the hard sales pitch. The products sell themselves. This is what it looks like when you live your passion. The pork is local Berkshire and everything is made in traditional methods on site. The Prosciutto will not be ready until next spring, and I'm sure it will be a hit. I tried the Capicola and several salami selections before ordering the handmade hot dogs, country sausage, Mexican chorizo, Italian sausage, bratwurst, Capicola and apple wood smoked bacon. Pine Street Market is now THE place where I get smoked meats. Try it out! They are open 11-7 M-F and 11-5 Saturday http://www.pinestreetmarket.com/

Yelp
This review, unfortunately, can't actually feed you Pine Street's bacon. And friends, you MUST eat this bacon. We get our Pine Street bacon at the Peachtree Road Farmer's market, so I haven't been to their Avondale facility, which I can only imagine is heaven on earth. My review is only for the bacon, well technically actually a bunch of other meats I've tried from Pine Street, but really ... the bacon. For 23 years, I thought I knew what bacon was. It ubiquitous on new American restaurants' menus, at fast food joints, and of course we've had it for breakfast a thousand times. Turns out, until I tried Pine Street Market's bacon, *I had never eaten bacon before*. This bacon tastes like pork. It actually does -- think about that next time you eat "bacon". This bacon is thicker, juicier, porkier, smoked-ier, longer, wider, prettier, fresher ... but really, I'm speechless. Pine Street's bacon will destroy all other bacon in your perception, until you cannot eat "bacon" ever again. Pine Street deserves to be an absolute hit on Yelp. This is a real find. Check them out asap.

Yelp
Just discovered this gem close to Decatur in Avondale Estates. My first date was with their hot dog sampled at Duck's Kitchen. It was the best hot dog I had ever tasted. I found my way to their small storefront and purchased the dogs and bacon burger. The dogs were superb as expected. Great juicy crunch and balanced garlic seasoning. Not over salted . . . Perfect. The bacon burger mix I tried as fried patties with eggs but the real revelation was the green chili I made. The bacon burger consists of finely ground pork and applewood smoked bacon. Wonderful smoky flavours added depth to the chili along with some chipotle peppers. Best chili I ever made thanks to Pine Street Market. The salami I've tried we're all a tad too salty for my taste but look forward to sampling all their wonderful creations.
google avatar

Ricky B.

Yelp
This place has nice meats but honestly I wasn't over impressed. Went over to get some applewood bacon only to find out that it was pre-sliced. I can get pre-sliced applewood bacon at the grocery store. What if I wanted extremely thin or extra thick slices...A real deal killer for me. The whole point of going to the butcher is to be able to get things fresh and cut the way you like it. Also, compared to another major player in the butcher shop game, their prices are MUCH higher. With that said, I cannot say the food here is bad but I probably won't be going back.

Yelp
What a neat find - this is going down as my most recent discovery! We went by here on Saturday (they're open from 11 - 5, but not open Sun - Tuesday). If not for word-of-mouth and an address, you'd never know to check this place out. The woman working here was very friendly and let us try everything - all the salamis & all the cheeses. We were going somewhere else afterwards, so couldn't bring the cheeses with us. They carry Sweet Grass Dairy cheeses - I really liked the gouda and aged goat cheese they had there. Apparently their bacon is very popular and we were also tempted to pick up some bratwurst. We ended up picking 3 kinds of salami: fennel, paprika and picnic. Some of the salamis are infused with different types of red wine (e.g, pinot noir) and each has a unique taste. We will definitely be going back!

Yelp
Dear God, is there bacon in heaven? Well for the sake of all the saints up there, let's hope so. In fact, I pray that this heavenly bacon comes from Pine Street Market. And let's throw in some Valencia and Saucisson Sec salami while we're at it for the full "hallelu" effect. This little place delivers big time. If there are any unbelievers out there, prick their hearts so that they may stop by and taste a few samples. Everything there is just divine from the salamis, to the sausage and of course, the bacon. I honestly don't think I've ever had better bacon. The flavor is just pure, fresh bacon. It's just good old fashion cured pig. Thank you God for being so kind and gracious to give us a place such as Pine Street Market. Amen. P.S. I have slept in my "I love bacon t-shirt" every night since I bought it.

Yelp
I can't believe its taken me so long to get here. We wandered in on a Sunday post-brunch at Palookaville (yes, I eat corn dogs for brunch!). Although some sirloin steaks in the case looked stunning, since we had eaten steak the night before, we selected heritage bone-in pork chops brined in apple cider and some italian sausage. We also picked up some of their salami. The salami made for excellent charcuterie. We sliced it thin and put it out with some cheese for a casual get-together. It was gone in less than 10 minutes! Yum! But those pork chops... I'm admittedly not the biggest fan of pork chops from eating them frequently as a child. However, these were something special. Hubby grilled them on the Big Green Egg and we paired them with a baked sweet potato and sauteed spinach. The pork was tender and exceptionally flavorful; in all honesty, its one of the best meals that we've ever made at home. I will definitely get these again! I haven't used the italian sausage yet, but I'm sure when I do, it will be terrific. I really loved that the folks at Pine Street Market can tell you EXACTLY where their meat came from. I'm ecstatic to support this small business and am now considering signing up for their meat CSA! Yay!

Yelp
When I heard about this place, I expected a place with pig legs hanging from the ceiling and a guy with a bloody apron and indeterminate European accent greeting me with a grunt and a wave of a cleaver. What I found was an upscale jernt selling high-end salumi. The lady behind the counter was devoid of accent but rife with grace and generosity; she cut me sizeable samples of some of the salumi in stock. Amazing stuff. I also got a pound of cut bacon, which tasted excellent: smoky in the best way, with the taste of the wood not crowding out the excellent flavor of the pig. So why only four stars? Nitrites. They're in the bacon. Yes, some studies say that the levels approved by the government are harmless, but I question the need for an establishment that works at this high level of quality to think it necessary to use this additive. Take it out--the bacon will be even better for it. I'll still go back.

Yelp
If you like meat, you should come here. Salamis, house cured bacon, BACON burgers, ribs, yum. This is an old school butcher shop meets local food movement. The result is orgasmic for foodies. High quality meats and cuts. Pair this visit up with a trip to The Beer Growler, and you've really got something. Don't be intimidated by the small space, the people inside are nice and know what they are talking about. Went here for a meat and cheese date to pick up a few things, and it was great. Try the speck.

Jack Q.

Yelp
What a hidden gem! Not only are they open on Sunday, but they were able to provide me with 2 gorgeous bone-in fat-cap on pork butts to smoke for some great home-made pulled pork. I was surprised at the variety of both cooked and uncooked meats in the coolers.
google avatar

Ben H.

Yelp
Simply put, they got their bacon and salumi game on lock here. It's a small shop that pretty much only does cured meats/salumi/charcuterie (well, they sell some cheeses too). Anyway, me and a lover hit this spot up to stock up on some meaty goodness. Kyle was really cool and let us sample a number of different meats. The salami were great, in particular the fennel one (even though I'm not a huge fennel/anise fan). I'll definitely be back to get some of that. I ended up with a pound of applewood-smoked bacon and a pack of spicy Italian sausages. The sausages were good, but the bacon...DIZZAMN. Thick, meaty, very smokey - it was fantastic. I think this is possibly the best bacon I've ever had and definitely one of the best food purchases I've made recently. The only drawback would have to be that it is a little pricey, but I feel like you get what you pay for. Pretty sure this'll get knocked up after a few more visits. Anyway, go get you some bacon. 4.5

Yelp
How have I not written a review for Pine Street yet? Oh, yeah, I haven't reviewed anything in a while. Whatever... Pine Street Market is remarkable. Bacon = YUM Bacon BURGER = how is it not a household staple? The pancetta, salami, chorizo... egads, so good. All your pig-meat needs in one stop, plus other edibles to accompany the meat. The cheese is great and from a local farm. And they've got pickled veggies, also from a local provider. If you have a chance, chat with Rusty. Everyone who works there is awesome, but he's totally nuts and hilarious.

Yelp
I have lived in this area for 3 years now, and only discovered this place about a month ago. I've been missing a lot. As a Triple B man (Beer, Babes, and Bacon), one of the foundations of my world view is good bacon. I'm constantly on the look out for the best bacon. I may have come pretty close to discovering it here. Cooked slow and pulled off the skillet before it became crispy, the first bite provided an overwhelming impression of a meaty porkchop. Then a well-balanced sensation of smoke and sweetness overtook my taste buds. The maple and molasses really comes through. As someone noted in another review, I'm also not a big fan of the use of nitrates. This bacon doesn't really need it. But this flaw is worth overlooking. They also make salami's (or is it salamii?) and always have several varieties for sale. This changes constantly and they will gladly cut off samples until you decided which one (or three) to take home with you. They also stuff sausages on Thursdays for you to pick and choose from. They sell the links fresh until Saturday, and then freeze them in packs of five the rest of the week. Tailgators should keep this in mind. The location is out of the way. The best directions are to find the James Joyce Irish Pub and it is behind the pub on a side street. If you love cured meats, I suggest you make a trip.

Yelp
My Loving beautiful wife that I am unworthy of gave me a gift certificate for a butcher class. (She wrote that) Until yesterday, it was just an my favorite place to get interesting cuts of pork and hard-to-find charcuterie (as it is for many chefs around town!) Then,I took the whole hog butcher class. I learned a whole lot and had a wonderful time. Anyways If you love pork, try it. If you really love pork, take a class there. Really worth the trip. You will probably have to do some google mapping to find it but it is worth it!
google avatar

Yelp
They had a much smaller storefront than I expected (only about 5' wide), which was a disappointment, but what little they had was good. I think we'll stay with Patak if for nothing else than varety.

Yelp
Pine Street Market is one of the must-visit culinary stops in Atlanta. Its just a few blocks from the Dekalb Farmers Market and is open on weekends. Its a small shop on the quiet (on weekends) Pine Street. The real draw is the bacon. They have both their regular incredibly tasty apple-wood smoked bacon and ordinarily a "black market" bacon that uses a bit higher quality hogs. Both are awesome. So...bacon... even if that was all they had it'd be worth a visit because the bacon is that good. But they have other items as well that I'd recommend. The apple cider brined pork chops are definitely top notch. The smoked chicken is really good. For me the sausages are a bit of a mixed bag. The Irish bangers are terrific. The currywurst is good. The rest of the sausages (andouille, italian, etc) I'd pass on. To me they are not as well-spiced as others that I've tried. The quality of the meat is good and this is simply a matter of my personal preferences. Others might rave about them (and probably deservedly so). The salamis are quite good and worth trying if you are fan of salami. There are a few other items from other local vendors in the shop. All top quality. Pine Street offers classes where you can join some of your fellow Atlantans in butchering a whole hog. These classes always fill up. When I saw a class in the market the first time I asked if they were local chef's or want-to-be chefs and found that, no, they are just regular folks who are really interested in where their food comes from and how it gets to the case. Bravo Atlantans! That was actually really inspiring. Anyway, the classes are allegedly quite good and you get to take away some of the tasty bits that you help butcher as well as engaging in a great learning experience. Call Pine Street for information.

Yelp
Yummy cheeses, fresh meats and sweets next door! So happy Avondale Estates has a few really cool places - the Growler, Pine Street Market, The LIttle Wine Shop, and for some, Good Karma Coffee.
google avatar

Kevin C.

Yelp
This place is a bit off the beaten path. I drove past little Pine Street Market twice before I saw the place. But I'm glad I kept circling - these folks make some excellent cured meats - I picked up about 5 different kinds of salamis (all made in house, and all fantastic - though my favorite was the "Avondale"), a slab of some excellent applewood smoked bacon, and a wedge of Thomasville Tomme cheese from Sweetgrass Dairy. In addition to the great salamis, bacon, and cheeses - at Pine Street, you'll also find super-friendly owners, who offer tastes of just about everything before buying. Definitely pay them a visit.

Yelp
Pretty simple. It's local. It's fresh. And it's high quality. Make sure to get the chorizo and other links. You'll be able to make some killer breakfast burritos. They also have the burger booster, which is basically a ground pork/bacon mixture that gives you some seriously awesome burgers.. I've also now had the pleasure of tasting a few salami's as well as the lardo and speck. Do yourself a favor and pick up both. I might also add that Rusty is freaking awesome and super friendly.

Yelp
Eh, not as impressed as it seems most people are. Went the other day and picked up some applewood bacon and some Asher Blue cheese as well as grabbed a summer sausage stick for the ride. Did not like the sausage at all and the bacon was mediocre at best. The blue was very mild which is fine for some but I want blue cheese that punches you in the mouth. Needless to say, won't be returning.

Yelp
There isn't anything I could write that hasn't already been written in the other 5 star reviews. If you don't understand that quality products costs more, then you are encouraged to STFU AND GO TO KROGER! Run. Run and go get you some bacon, sausages and chorizo. You'll be glad you did.

Yelp
Pine Street Market is my definite go to charcuterie now. As an anniversary present, I got the husband and I a meat-of-the-month club membership. Best anniversary present EVER!!! Nothing says I Love You more than cured meat. And each shipment comes with a pound of bacon. Pine Street Market's bacon is heavenly by the way. I even made bacon jam (http://www.kitchencorners.com/2010/12/bacon-jam-without-coffee.html) with it. I really think it brought the bacon jam up a notch. The bacon jam was so good, I even got a vegetarian to try some. Needless to say, I'm a huge fan. Everything we got for the meat of the month was excellent. Also, for the cooks out there, Pine Street sells bacon ends, which are much easier to chop for cooking purposes.

Yelp
We buy their bacon about twice a month from the Saturday Peachtree Road Farmers Market. I make my own bacon and pancetta from Bershire Pork, but it does not taste as good as theirs.

Yelp
I had gotten to try some cured meats from Pine Street Market this Spring, and had signed up for their email newsletter. Every few weeks when the email newsletter arrived, I would try to remember to head over and get some more to try out. I would forget. This weekend, my wife and I managed to remember, and we bought several different types of cured meats, and some applewood smoked bacon. All of the cured meats we had were delicious, with the coppa being a particular standout. We had them with some fresh baked baguette we made yesterday and cheeses we picked up elsewhere. Today we had the bacon in some sandwiches, and it lived up to our expectations, was delicious, and will become a staple of our pantry. Beyond the obvious quality of the food, Rusty seems like a really nice guy, and let us sample everything we asked about before we bought. I recommend Pine Street Market for your cured meat needs.

Yelp
Love, love, LOVE Pine Street Market. We had been going all the way to the Peachtree Farmers Markets on Saturdays to get their products and then one day we realized they have an actuality store!! We went for the first time the Saturday of 4th of July and I think we bought at least half the items they sell. Everything rocked!! As other have stated their bacon is awesome but they also have a lot of other great items. The store is small but very clean and the staff is so nice. If you pork products do yourself a favor and check them out!!

Yelp
They have the nicest people working here. It is always a pleasure to call up or walk in for my orders. Their home-made hot dogs are my absolute favorite! Because they're made on the spot or somewhere nearby, they don't have the crazy chemicals that go into store-bought stuff. Actually, I shouldn't even be drawing a comparison between their hot dogs and the store-bought stuff since we're not even talking about the same thing here... The bacon is incredible and flavorful. Other cured salami-type meats are delicious, too.

Yelp
The bacon is out of this world. Seriously. I get at least one pound a week, plus the sausages, bacon ends, panchetta, etc. I spend a stupid amount of money with them but its worth it. Did I mention that they have the best bacon in the entire state of GA? Maybe even the Southeast? They do. Hands down...it is the BEST. Rusty and his wife are super nice and the staff is awesome. Between the storefront in Avondale Estates and finding them at the farmers markets (Dunwoody on Wednesdays and Peachtree Rd on Sats) I have a constant supply!

Yelp
Take the Whole Hog class. It's awesome! Rusty and his team do a great job. You'll have an amazing time and the food is out of this world!

Yelp
I cannot lie I have a crush on this place. They have some of the friendliest staff and am properly greeted every time. They have increased their products to include smoked brined pork chops and smoked brisket both of which I purchased. Also picked up their wonderful salamis which everyone at my dinner party enjoyed. Also don't miss their pulled pork sandwiches on the weekend - they make for a wonderfully messy and tasty lunch! Lastly get the bacon, it'll change your life.

Yelp
Spent the afternoon looking for ground sausage. Ground sausage in Atlanta is as elusive as a yeti, apparently, but pine street market has it and in three flavors no less. I will be back.

Yelp
I love this place! It's obvious that all of the staff take their craft seriously, and the result is perfection! A few of my favorite things are the spec, the petite salamis and the applewood bacon (I like to buy the ends and use them to flavor everything from soups to sauces and pastas!)

Yelp
This is extraordinary meat for extraordinary palates. This is a butcher shop but only for sausages etc. . They carry bacon, salami, bratwurst, andouille. The meats are smoked to perfection. I never thought I could find these kind of products, except in Europe. This stuff isn't cheap but is worth the price. The place is very out of the way and very unassuming on the outside. There is very little on display but their products are listed on a chalk board and apparently vary from time to time. The staff is great and basically stand at the counter giving out samples while the customers gasp and croak for more. The experience in the shop is a little clandestine. One wonders whether or not the guilty pleasure police might kick the door in and take the gluttonous patrons to the pokey. This is the source for meat for really nice party trays. Their product makes the Dekalb Farmer's Market selection look like fido's rear end. They also have artisinal cheese from Thomasville. It is superb. Take plenty of money and go Hawg Wild!
