A warm and unmissable place to listen to music and watch traditional country dancing. Everything feels very authentic, and food is delicious. The alligator balls are worth trying.

Fun place.. we enjoyed our visit. I had the grilled shrimp and baked potatoes.. also purchased was the grilled flounder with etoufee . Alligator bites..fried chicken.. the whole fried fish. A couple drinks.. all good was good and our service was great.. we will be back

This place looks really cool and their food is great too. The fish was heavily over seasoned but still good and the cheesecake was great but the best thing was the gumbo; I loved it.

Food was ok try the alligator bites with the pistolettes, much better! Service wasn't up to par but it could've been just short staffed. What you don't finished there are cayman that you can feed of the patio.

We always love the food, atmosphere but Saturday night it was crazy busy with Crossroads playing. Our server, Kacy rocked it, she had a table of 15 and still gave her other tables amazing service. Could not have asked for anything better Thank you Kacy for taking care of us and our granddaughter

Excellent Location!! Very attentive service, friendly staff, The food was amazing!! The atmosphere was addictive.. I want to go back soon.. My wife and I spent our 11th Anniversary Lunch Date there, and found a new favorite.. I highly recommend Pine Tree Lodge for any foodie travelers, you will be impressed!! P.S. leftovers we're just as good the next day.. Sorcery!! My compliments to Chef Merlin...

We went to our friend’s birthday dinner. At first, I wasn’t sure if I was going to the right direction, because it is in middle of nowhere!lol But the location was awesome! There was a bayou next to it where you can enjoying boating as well🩷 We were the large group but !everyone was treated super good. The waitress was on point with everyone and she was great. The food came out all good and no complaints there!

Came out to the Pine Tree Lodge to celebrate the anniversary of some great friends. We had reservations for a group of 10 on a Sunday for 12:30 in the indoor section. When we arrived, it was so nice outdoors, we requested that we move outside. They promptly switched us and got us seated--fortunately there was plenty of space available since there was no band playing at that time. Mason, our server, was wonderful! He was so attentive and polite, and was quite the server--it wasn't his fault that there was no alligator available that day! (He hadn't been informed by the kitchen.) I had the shrimp kisses and lettuce wedge for my main meal. Bacon-wrapped shrimp with jalapeno slice were large and served with a tasty dip. Salad was super fresh--the best part of my meal! Hubby had the chicken fried steak, and he said it was very good. However, unfortunately, many others at our table, who had various fried foods, said that their food was not very well seasoned. The beer is served on tap from the bottom. When your cup is empty, you can remove the magnet and attempt to add it to their metal wall... not an easy task unless you have the proper aim. Save your leftover food to feed the alligators, turtles and fish that hang out in Taylor bayou.

Great tasting. Cajun food, relax atmosphere, choice of seating, band or music option. Nice variety on menu: seafood, traditional or down home cooking. We also did appetizers and that's also a fabulous start! Young waiters at work

What a hidden gem this place is! Secludedly tucked in the woods and on a bayou, this place is huge. Very clean as well. The best fried shrimp I've ever had, well seasoned and BIG. Was here on a late lunch while driving through the area back to Houston. DEFINITELY worth a trip back with the wife. Rare I give a five star. This was an easy 5 star. Would have taken a pic of my food but I already ate it :)

These people saying the food is good are drunk! Not one person at our table liked the food. The pistollettes had literally no taste whatsoever! Waste of money. I had to add salt to just eat one. The other one i couldnt force myself. The Boudain balls was ok. Not much taste as well. The fried shrimp had a decent coating but again NO SEASONINGS! I was totally disappointed. Will never be back to eat there. Im assuming most people go bc its in the sticks and has live music by the swamp with alligators. Out of all the Cajun places ive tried in 50yrs this was the worst. Cooks should be tasting their food while cooking! Tasteless restaurant

First visit to PTL to celebrate a birthday! All of the food was wonderfully cooked and tasted fantastic! Healthy amount of portions for your buck and the service was phenomenal. We enjoyed the scenery on the deck and the band that was playing. We will definitely return soon.

This gem was recommended to us by longtime locals, and we were glad to take the 30 minute drive out through some of the prettiest vistas in what is otherwise congested concrete Beaumont city limits. This location is absolutely perfect on the bayou but for the last night of November it was too cold to sit outdoors and take in the ambience. We started with the onion straws, very nicely battered with a tempura light style fry, and an ample classic margarita-- light pour (sadly). He had the chicken fired steak while I enjoyed the grilled shrimp, great sides, tasty fresh salad and very generous portions-- there is definitely something for everyone here. Service was attentive without being cloying-- just right. We were a little early for the entertainment, otherwise that would make for a very nice evening and a very special occasion!

Fabulous food, service, and nice place. Clean and beautiful location too. Loved the cole slaw and potato salad. Our family will very visiting again soon!

Good food and great service. We enjoyed the experience very much, as did our guests. My wife had the seafood platter and I had the whole fried catfish. Both were excellent. Atmosphere was a little noisy, but we expected it. Didn't detract from our visit at all.

The gator bites & catfish tacos were excellent! Outdoor seating on the bayou with an audience of turtles & gators swimming around kept us entertained! The troubadour singing that night was good...sounded like Reba! Nice relaxing atmosphere & vibes!

Server had very limited knowledge of the menu. The food was not very good. Under baked potato not warm enough to melt butter. The fried "oysters" were marble size pieces of an oyster fried almost as hard as a marble. Overall...terrible!

I've heard a lot of good things about it and have been wanting to try it for a few years and we finally made it!!! I have to start with the ambience and views! I can't say enough about the Pine Tree Lodge! It's nestled in a bend in a little bayou with old Cypress trees and Cypress knees. There are Lilly Pads floating in front of the Cypress and along the banks and bend in the nation and I can hear CCR's Green River playing in my head!!! Also the Alligator's, Soft Shell Turtles, along with Red Eared Turtles and the occasional Alligator Gar swimming by! The restaurant is bullheaded on the edge of the bayou along with decking and tables at the waterside where you can watch the aquatic life while you dine!!! Our 8 year old was adamant we had a waterside table although it was a little breezy, the weather was overcast and the temps were just right!!! Our waitress whose name was Brayley was on top of her game and was promptly at the table once we were seated for our drink orders!! I started with a margarita and an ice water with lemon. My wife just had water, and our 8 year old had a Coke. She came back with our drinks and took our appetizer order of the Gator Bites with Hush puppies and an order of Onion Strings. It wasn't long when she returned with our orders while we were enjoying the scenery. The Gator Bites came with a Roumalade sauce that was very good! The Onion Strings came with a plain Ranch dip and also a spicy ranch! Both were very tasty!!! Our 8 year old really enjoyed the Gator Bites and we enjoyed both!!! Our waitress gave us time to work toward the end of our appetizers before she came back to take our dinner orders. Our 8 year old ordered the child's plate of catfish and fries. My wife ordered a combo of Grilled Shrimp and Fried Oysters and a side salad. I will say here that I didn't know where they got their pickled okra for the salads, but they were some of the best I've ever tasted! My wife offered me one to try and I'm glad I did!!! I also ordered the Combo with Fried shrimp and Fried Oysters with two sides of potato salad and Red Beans and rice. Everything we had was absolutely delicious!!! The red beans and rice were excellent as was the potato salad! I think I make a very good potato salad, but there was something about theirs that was just unique and it had a very good taste!!! My wife found out they had Oyster Shooters and we remembered the days when her dad would come down to where we used to live by Galveston Bay and we would make around of hitting all the good seafood places that had oysters on the half shell. One of the places we took him that looked out over the Bay had Oyster Shooters and we tried them. They are basically a raw oyster in a shot glass with a Bloody Mary poured over it! We loved them and would always hit that place on our rounds. We haven't done them since he passed 4 years ago so she ordered us a couple of their Oyster Shooters from here!!! You'll have to ask them to add the vodka here though and it is extra, but worth it! All in all we just had a really great experience here at the Pine Tree Lodge and we Loved our Waitress Brayley, I hope I spelled her name right! We went during the day. My wife got off at noon today and our 8 year old had a field trip day at school and we were able to check him out afterwards right after noon. So this is where we voted to go since he thought watching the Alligators would be a great topping for the day, he was right!!! Also it really starts to liven up around 5pm when people and their families start showing up after work. They have live bands and a dance floor where you can cut a rug if your in the mood! There is plenty of parking and plenty of seating area inside and outside as well as an upstairs dining area.

This one is out there. WAY out there. The Yelp address says "Beaumont", but it's actually in the tiny town of Labelle. It's a nine mile drive south of I-10, so I took Johnny Cash's song "25 Minutes To Go" and decomposed it to be "9 More Miles To Go": We are going to eat at Pine Tree Lodge, 9 more miles to go. If you want to go, you need to get out of Dodge, 8 more miles to go. It is located in the town of Labelle, 7 more miles to go. But the country gets so hot, it feels like H***, 6 more miles to go. It's a four mile drive past 365, 5 more miles to go. But the food is good, and the music is live, 4 miles miles to go. It's on the bayou, which you don't see much, 3 more miles to go. So that'd be a fun place to have some lunch, 2 more miles to go. It's the 30 mile an hour zone and so, 1 more mile to go. Now I'm turning left, and here I go-o-o-o-o-o-o-o . . . My wife had stopped speaking to me by "5 more miles to go." Pine Tree Lodge is Destination Dining. It has several large dirt parking lots, and they were all filling up. It has the feel of an old eatin' place in the Big Thicket, before I-10 was built and Beaumont was practically a company town for Big Oil. So it's a bit of living history. So why do people make the long drive to eat here? Is it the food, the experience of eating where the gators swim, the ambiance, or the live music? I think a little of all four. We were part of a group of eight from our Thursday night Ekklesia, and we experienced three out of four. One said, "Many times, we'll come here after church, and it's a lot quieter. Sometimes we buy gator bites, and toss them to the alligators." (My girl would say with a huff, "Are they cannibals?") It did get loud with the classic rock band playing on the patio and with no wall or window between us and the band. So you need to pick what day & time you'll be there, and make sure it's not a Monday or Tuesday. Okay, the food: Pretty expensive, but with that higher price, you get a LOT of food. Do not be surprised if you cannot finish it all. Gator bites: pretty good meat covered by a Cajun-spiced fried shell. I took one bite and pulled out all the gator. Nice spice. Fried mushrooms: I had none. But several in the group commented that they'd bite into it, and boiling liquid would fill their mouths. Hushpuppies: I have little experience with them. These were okay, I guess, tasted much better with Tabasco sauce. Steak burger: Rating Pine Tree Lodge by the food, this entree would send it into 6-star territory. The patty was far superior than any I'd had in my life, probably because it was more steak-burger than hamburger. Lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and pickles were set to the side, put onto your burger what you want. A real winner. Fries: not that good. Mushy, and i don't like mush. I often laugh about the Awful Awful Burger at Reno's Nugget Diner, a half-pound burger sitting on a half pound of fries. Pine Tree Lodge's burger had more fries than burger. I couldn't finish the fries, and to be frank, I didn't want to (actually, to be Frank, I'd need to change my name from Ron to Frank). Blackened Shrimp with Pasta: The hunny had this. I asked her what she thought, and she said "It was real good." She's not one to elaborate. There was a large bar area between us and the patio. I'm like, whatever, but some in the Ekklesia saw some of the guys acting beyond inappropriately with the waitresses walking around. Two of us have a law enforcement background, and they really got their cackles up with this scene. I'd need to go to go to Pine Tree Lodge more to see if it should be moved up to five stars. As it is, I had a great time there, with the memory of the steak burger likely to remain with me for a while. Again, this is Destination Dining, and I recommend that you make it a destination of your own.

We came with a large group for a family anniversary. It was a mix of good and bad with food. Kids loved the outside with the alligators and turtles. The area was cool outside in spite of being a hot day. The food: the shrimp kisses were really good. The grilled shrimp were small but tasted fine. The alligator bites were really tough and my daughter couldn't finish her food. The street tacos looked really good. The hushpuppies were way over cooked and it seemed like everyone used them to feed the animals. The dessert was ok. The banana pudding didn't have any bananas and seemed only to have banana flavoring so that was disappointing. The cobbler was fine. Overall the food was ok, good things and bad things on the menu. Price is a little high for the quality. We will probably be back again for this get together but hopefully things get better.

The food here is pretty good. The view is the best part about this place. You can share your fries and leftovers with the alligators and fish. Haven't ever had a bad meal from here.

The food is not great. Do not order a steak.... You'll be disappointed. You come here for drinks (beer, truly..mixed drinks are okay) and live music. The service has never been short of great! The 3 stars are because the service is great, it's close to home, and there's live music. There's a lot of indoor/outdoor space and it's a great place (due to location -there's just not much else around here) to host events (birthdays, anniversaries, etc). Minus 2 stars because it's a restaurant and the food is lacking. If it was just a bar... this would be a 5 star review.

Went Sunday. Crab cake was terrible. Couldn't eat it. Fish was not good. Actually, nothing was. Very disappointed. Will never go back.

1st time to eat here. I have heard a lot of positive things. I rate it 5 stars out of 5 for service. The reason that I gave it 3 stars was because of the food. The pistols I had were awesome! My Shrimp and Grits were ok but I sampled my wife's Seafood sampler and to me, I didn't really like it. The atmosphere here is amazing. Even on a hot southeast Texas day, it was still cool in the outside dining area. The turtles and far in the bayou was fun to watch as well.

Good spot to hang out and have a drink while listening to live music. Food is alright, nothing spectacular. Service is always great. Order a frozen hippie juice and thank me later.

Server spilled my tea on table. His comment was "my bad". My husband said waiter was going for a rag to clean. I said no he isn't and he didn't !! Food was very unsatisfactory for us!! we had extremely high expectations because of all the hot we had seen on Facebook reviews!!

I've been a twice. First time ordered a burger which was scrumptious. This last time I orders the Chicken fried Steak with Mash Potatoes and gravy along with fried Okra. Let me tell you, in a world of 5 stars, this place deserves a 10. If you like the classic Ma and Pops cafe kinda of CFS you'll love love this place. Service was great and atmosphere was also great and quick to be seated.

Used the money we saved on BOGO burger nite for some Norma Jean's and XXX Limeades!! I slept well that night, we'll be back for some Saturday Night Shenanigans before too long.

Great atmosphere on the Taylor bayou. The grilled catfish was good. So were the fried pickle appetizers. I washed it down with a Screw Harvey, tasty tropical rum cocktail. Service was prompt & excellent. Watching the turtles swim from our table was entertaining.

I'm going for four stars based on the ambiance. The venue is large and located on the river unfortunately we were there in the afternoon and the live music was at night. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating both covered and not. Our service was good. We started with appetizers including calamari which was very tasty and not chewy at all. My sister and I had the sangria which was full of fruit and very tasty. In the end my husband and I ordered the patty melt. Okay, but nothing to brag about and the fries were definitely from the freezer as was my side of okra. The other couple we were with ordered a burger and some sides, all seemed okay. The price was reasonable for the food we ate.

Absolutely wonderful atmosphere with equally met food and hospitality! If you ever want to relax the Cajun way over some bayou waters, this place is for you!!! They offer eating inside or out! They also often have live music! Hidden treasure for sure!!!!

Nestled back in the woody area somewhere between Fannett and Labelle sits the Pine Tree Lodge. I was invited to lunch with some mutual retired educators and it was the perfect day to sit outside eat and chat. I enjoyed my time there and the food was excellent. Our waitress was accommodating and we watched the alligators and turtles that swam in the water nearby. The atmosphere is so comfortable and fun. This place is a bit out of the way, but well worth the ride. We ordered appetizers to start and they were on point. We shared the shrimp kisses which are bacon-wrapped shrimp, with cheese and jalapenos. These are an absolute favorite. A perfect blend of savory and spicy. We also had mozzarella sticks, fried pickles, fried mushrooms, and onion rings. All of these are true family favorites and are excellent starters before a meal. For my entrèe, I order the grilled catfish with two sides. My sides were green beans and coleslaw. I loved the fish. It was seasoned well and grilled perfectly. The coleslaw was surprisingly delicious. It had small pieces of pineapple in it that gave it a slight sweet taste. I loved it. The green beans has pieces of real bacon that gave it a real homestyle taste but the beans were a tad overcooked. I'll try something else next time. I heard the desserts are bomb but we were too stuffed to indulge. The presentations of everything was inviting and mouthwatering. We picked a perfect day for lunch. I will return and I recommend this place for lunch or dinner. If you're looking for a restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere with equally good food and hospitality please check them out. It's a great place to relax over some bayou waters. Don't forget to save a hushpuppy to throw to the gators. They have plenty of parking space and are open Wednesday through Sunday. This was a really cool place. Went and played cornhole with my son and had a bite to eat. Watched baby gators and turtles from the deck while we hung out.

Five stars for cool location and good grub and service. Launched my 19 foot boat right at the nearby bridge and after enjoying boating and swimming in Taylor bayou we made our way to PTL. Was able to use their dock but all the other boats that came later just nosed in side by side. So cool! Gators! Beaumont lucky to have such a cool place and cool bayou to explore right there just outside of town.

Crawfish pistolettes were AMAZING, our waitress shorty was so nice and was happy to talk about all the different options she favored and the history of the lodge. Everyone's entree was good and we will be back! Can't wait to come see some live music!

My salad was ok it had a lot of old lettuce everything was good. Love the vib here but food not as good except catfish bites!!

Amazing shrimp po boy and boudin balls. Fresh gilled shrimp and grilled onions. Great service and friendly atmosphere.

All the way around a great experience! Plenty of open air seating and inside as well right on the water. Friendly staff and was seated, ordered and served quickly. Split the seafood platter with my wife it was the best fried fish, shrimp I've had in a long time. Crab cake was good too. All the seafood was tender with great flavor. Sides of mushrooms and sweet potato fries good too. All in about an hour. We left while the band was warning up but the place also looked like we may have missed some good music. Great atmosphere, great food and friendly staff. Our first time here and a definite good choice.

I've grown up coming here. The new restaurant is great and the food was good. However, if you are at all concerned w Covid 19, I advise you not to come. The staff do not wear their mask and they do not require guest to wear their mask inside the restaurant. That's my only complaint.

The building looked like it would be an amazing experience. And then we ordered. Our waiter was terrible. He acted like he had anything better to do, and only came to our table when someone else sat in his section. We wasted $13 on alligator bites. There was 85% batter and 15% meat. I ordered he chicken fried steak with white gravy on the side, red beans and rice and green beans. The steak was the same as the alligator. There was no seasoning in the batter or the green beans. The only thing worth eating was the red beans. I'm very disappointed.

Pine Tree is open for business. Take out only. They stop taking orders at 7pm. Really glad you guys are open

The Waitress/Bartender, Grace was Awesome! Our drinks were spot on. My husband's Seafood Sampler was great(other than Gumbo having no flavor and Crab Cake being Gummy). Hubs wanted me to order something... So, after looking at all the photos online... I decided to order the Pistolettes(to go). So, for the same Price... I get a whole roll and 3/4 of another! For $8.25... .. certainly NOT WORTH IT! Wanted to Love this place... and had it Not been for Grace... this would have been a really bad experience. Thank you again for making it better!

I had the seafood pasta and fried oysters, and they were really good but a bit expensive. My grandparents liked what they ordered as well. I also got one of their mimosas, but it was a different flavor than the typical orange mimosas (can't remember exactly which flavor). It was waaaaayy too strong to where I could taste too much of the alcohol. It was really difficult to finish it. I didn't expect that from a fruity drink. The server that we had was really sweet, helpful, and attentive. Overall, I would say it's a good place to eat though and I would return.

Awesome find, Thank YOU Yelpamaniacs!! Traveling down a lonesome highway, with no traffic around.....punched up the ole yelp app to see what was ahead in Port Arthur. The Pine Tree Lodge popped up at the top of the list..... but wait I'm in the middle of BFE or it so it seemed. This place has good food, great service and decent prices. The gator bites appetizer had a crispy and highly seasoned batter that complimented the special dipping sauce that is served with it. Hushpuppies were awesome and cooked to perfection. Fried shrimp platter and my choice of sides were great also. Their customers came by four wheels, two wheels and no wheels (boats). Just a down home feel with no pretentious attitude....casual and "interesting" , all in one.

So I happened to be traveling for work, staying in Winnie, TX. This may sound terrible to those who don't know Winnie, but I was pretty excited. "Why?", you might ask. Well, Winnie is home to the best cajun restaurant this side of the Sabine River--Al T's--, and my hotel was just around the corner. Boy was I jazzed up...until...I had heavy cajun food 3 nights in a row. Needless to say my coworker and I explored other dinner options. We came across Pine Tree and gave it a try. The place itself is nice: a Southern home on the bayou with a deck used for feeding gators and listening to live music. The beer selection left something to be desired, but that didn't surprise me much. I was just glad that beer was an option! The food was pretty good. I got the grilled catfish with rice, gravy, and green beans. They brought me enough gravy to bathe in. No thanks, I just needed a dab on my rice. We went back a few days later, and the service was pretty slow. I don't remember it being particularly fast or slow the first time around. When it comes down to it, this place isn't even in the same ballpark with the likes of Al T's, but it's good food with a good atmosphere. It's hidden away, so you have to work a little to get there, but it's well worth it!

Every time I am in the Beaumont area, I have to stop at Pine Tree. I have been here about 5 times now, and each time the experience is just as good or better than I remember. The live music is awesome, and the beer is cold. I even like the fried seafood!! I most enjoy riding my bike over there in the summer and hanging out in the open bar. It is out of the way, as any great place should be!

It's close to home. I love the atmosphere and the food is amazing. My kids absolutely love feeding the fish, gators and turtles.

Great food and plenty of it! Family friendly and date night friendly! Located on the bayou where you'll see couple baby alligators and they love the restaurants rolls! Lol!
