Yelp
Let me start off the review with the good things:
- The food was good.
- My server, May, was a very friendly and sweet woman.
- The atmosphere was okay.
However, there is still room for improvement, it is very critical to get it right in order for me to come back or recommended anyone to come here:
- The food is ridiculously overprice for oversize portion. I was stunned to see a big dish with 3 pieces of pork chop for $18. I noticed that another customer was also surprised at how big her fish dish is. The thing is as a person that just wants a quick meal before the movie, I was expecting to get a more proportional food size for roughly $10-$12. That's what I typically have/seen around asian restaurant around Boston.
As the server told me that the restaurant has only been opened for 3 months, I was going to cut it some slack and just gave a good review to support local business until I talked to the owner. I generally gave constructive review that I was taken back by the bill, and thought they might want to rethink their strategy since the food is good, there is high chance of me coming back. I was then surprised when the owner not only that he didn't show any effort in receiving the feedback, he told me that he should have the to-go box. Then I repeated to him that I can't because I am going to the movie theater right after this.
Overall, this is just my experience going to the restaurant for a quick dinner before the movie. The pricing strategy might work better for other people/ different circumstances, but for me, I might not come back here for a while.
