Google
We order takeout from this place a lot, and they are AMAZING. Super consistent, quick, reasonable prices, and just the sweetest people on the phone. Truly can't recommend them enough. The pad see ew is my go-to, and the veggie curry puffs are literally perfect. They never let us down! :)

Google
Food are okay, and the service is really nice. Definitely will stop by if I would like something quick.

This is my first time trying Thai Cuisine. I ordered “Pad Thai with Crispy Chicken” (Sautéed rice noodles with egg, bean sprouts, scallions, peanuts and topped with crispy chicken) I was expecting spicy taste but it was sweet and good! Overall I love it and I also order spicy sauce with that to have more flavor. Actually I love their crispy chicken I even order extra side crispy chicken and rice. Waitress was friendly and helpful. She answered our questions and explain the menu. We will definitely go there again.

Google
The food had delicate flavors, neatly prepared, and good portions. Between me and my husband, we shared curry puff, shrimp tempura, papaya salad, and a dish of seafood avocado green curry. We were stuffed and satisfied! While we were the only dine-in customer at that time, the place was busy with takeout orders. A perfect place for a quiet, home-cooked Thai meal!

Google
The food was so good and tasty and the portions were pretty good! The staff were so kind! We will definitely return!

Google
The Pineapple Rice and crispy chicken pad Thai were excellent.

Google
It was Friday night and we couldn't find any restaurants without reservation in advance. And then we found this beautiful quiet place where we could finally seat back and relax while enjoying delicious Thai cuisine. It was awesome. We loved it, we'll come back.

Google
I stopped in to get some lunch for me and my husband. I ordered Pad Thai with tofu and a pineapple salad. Neither tasted very good and I was disappointed that I had spent almost $40 for such low quality food.

Yelp
We ordered take out from Pineapple Thai Cuisine by Star Market for dinner. When they say their Chicken Satay for 3 large pieces of grilled chicken on bamboo skewer were large, they weren't kidding. These were large meaty pieces, tender and tasty. Just be a little careful, because they're so thick, one of our pieces were a bit raw in the center. The Thai Fried Rice and Pad Thai (chicken) were both well portioned, filling out the take out containers, and were savory and not too sweet.

Megan G.

Yelp
A clean, small restaurant with quick service and quality meals. I stopped in for a quick bite, ordering the chicken pad see ew which came out fast and piping hot. The dish was very flavorful and the chicken was moist!

Srinithi R.

Yelp
I did take out and got spring rolls, pineapple friend rice, scallion pancakes, tom yum soup and pad Thai. I loved every meal! My favorite was the pad Thai and pineapple fried rice. The delivery was fast and happy with the service. I would order from here again!

Yelp
Pineapple Thai cuisine in Chestnut Hill is a very unassuming but amazing Thai restaurant. I recently ordered takeout food there when I was looking for Thai restaurants in the area and had no idea there was a Thai place in the Chestnut Hill shops area. The online order system was easy although I wish they had it so you could scroll through the entire menu rather than have to click each individual category and have to go back and forth (very minor criticism). I got the pork pad see ew and chicken pad prik khing which was something new that I had never heard of. The photo looked amazing with string beans and spices. When I picked up my order it was ready in a few minutes after my arrival and was piping hot. The pad prik khing came with rice and it was one of the best foods I have ever had. There were plenty of string beans with bell pepper and chicken and I got regular spicy which was a good amount of heat. The sauce was amazing and I can't even explain how good it was. I highly recommend this dish and it also came with a side of white rice which helped tone down the spice. The pad see ew was equally as amazing even though I have had this dish before at other places. So flavorful, and you can really taste a good smoky flavor from how it was cooked. The chinese broccoli was crunchy, the noodles were nice and soft and had the perfect amount of sauce. This place was so good! It's honestly one of the best if not the best Thai food I have had in Boston/the Boston area. The portions were good but most importantly the flavor was incredible. If I am in the area again I will for sure be coming back. Side note: I did not dine in but the restaurant is very nice and clean.

Yelp
Had lunch here on a quiet weekday afternoon. It is a small cozy restaurant. Thai iced coffee was very good. Crab rangoon and Curry Veggie Puff were delicious. Their Thai fried rice was very average, there was barely any flavor to it and the veggies added were a bit too raw for our liking. The pad-ki-mo was also meh, lacking flavor and seasoning. The server was very friendly and the restaurant and bathroom were very clean. Ample parking available.

Madman M.

Yelp
Fast & attentive service. About 15 tables average decor. We order Shumai as an appetizer - tasty but not much dipping sauce. My lady had Pad Thai Crispy Chicken which was good/tasty but a little lite on sauce. Sweet sauce on side was a nice compliment to the chicken. I had the Green Avocado Curry (w/chicken) which was very good. Just the right-sized portion. Price is a bit more expensive that other area Thai restaurants and normally we would order hot tea, but at $5 per cup, we found that a bit outrageous. Would go back for the food.

Yelp
I would say this is my go to take out Thai spot! The service is super quick and easy. And their dishes are always pretty solid. My favorite is their Kuo Kai with tofu. Love how it's over a bed of lettuce and the overall flavor is super delicious. I have eaten in there a few times and I love the quick casual vibes. A great spot to eat out in the chestnut hill area!

Yelp
My mother just had the most disgusting experience at this restaurant. My mother went in and placed an order and was told that her order would be ready within half an hour. She told the woman behind the counter that she wouldn't be able to wait for more than half an hour and just made sure that it would actually be ready. After the woman confirmed my mother placed her order and paid. As she waited for her order, the owner was at a table, putting together a different catering order. After 30 minutes, she went up to the counter and asked if her order was ready at which time the woman behind the counter said no. She pointed to the owner and suggested that my mother ask him. My mother went over to the owner and asked if her order was ready. The owner turned to her and yelled that he was busy and continued to package up the other order. She then calmly said to him that she had placed an order 30 minutes ago and was told that her order would be ready on time. The owner turned around and screamed f*ck you at her. He said he knew she was Russian and he didn't want to serve her and demanded that the woman behind the counter, give her her money back. This kind of cruelty and xenophobia should not be tolerated in our area and it's disgusting that this man is allowed to have this establishment.

Marie C.

Yelp
Excellent service - they always provide lots of sauces and get orders out quickly. The banana egg rolls are especially delicious. I've found the medium spice level is perfect for me - enough to get my scalp sweating, not so hot that I can't taste the other flavors.

Yerina K.

Yelp
I have eaten at the place and have ordered take out before, and I think that they give you a good amount of food regardless! The quality is solid and I have always had a good experience with them. The service there is also good and they're nice whenever I went to pick up or dine in! The place is also cozy and small but there still is a lot of space at the restaurant to eat (tables/chairs). If you're in the area or near the area for delivery, I would try this place out!

Kathy H.

Yelp
Three stars because the waitress was super nice despite the restaurant being very understaffed. Wait for food was kind of long but understandable. Thai iced tea was way sweeter than normal, pad Thai was dry and had very little chicken.

Sherry H.

Yelp
Good food, good service, simple but nice decor and there is ample parking which is hard to find in Newton.

John A.

Yelp
Appetizer sample and crispy chicken pad Tia was great. Counter person was polite and curious. Small but nice dinning area

Jessica P.

Yelp
My family and I have eaten here and ordered from here for several years. The food is incredibly fresh. Everything we have ever eaten has been great. The fried rices and noodles are all great. I love that the vegetables are never over cooked, nor is their shrimp in any of the dishes we have ever ordered. My kids love the gyoza and shumai.

Kristin P.

Yelp
This is our go-to Thai takeout restaurant. Fan favorites are the vegetable rolls appetizer (which can sometimes sell out quick), Pad Thai and Drunken Noodle. Just a few tables available for dining in, but the atmosphere and decor are simple and lovely. The staff is always friendly and gets our order made quickly for takeout.

Ziv H.

Yelp
Reporting in a quick Sunday afternoon lunch. Only two parties counting us, so food was naturally quick. Rolls--not the strongest play. Fine, but i wonder if defrosted. Tom yum soup-- a large pleasantly sweet, sour and spicy bowl shared among three Eggplant, peppers (with tofu)-- a strong winner. If you're an eggplant fan, get it, do it, eat it. Can't speak to the rest.... we were eating light. And... it's my second time year, previously years back... but I recall the same country music station playing... unexpected.

Paige S.

Yelp
All I can say is go somewhere else- here is the response I received from the owner after I posted my honest review stating the food is excellent, and that I have been a customer for years, but the wait times of sometimes over 2 hours is not justifiable for take out. The owner told me he did not need my business and called me a loser. Is this who you went to give your business to? Not me.

Melina M.

Yelp
If I could give 0 stars I would. I've ordered from this place before specifically the pineapple curry and enjoyed it. After eating most of it this time around I found maggots inside. WILL NEVER AGAIN ORDER FROM HERE! There are so many better places to go instead. Beware!!

Victoria C.

Yelp
They seem to do a lot of takeout. We dined in and enjoyed the food. Curry was spot on. The decor could be a little warmer, the lighting *not so bright*, but for a half hour to kill while we waited to pick up our son from a school event, this was a nice find.

Jacob S.

Yelp
Best Thai food in the area without a question. Delicious pad Thai, the real telltale of any Thai restaurant.

Veronica L.

Yelp
Like the food and service, will re-visit if be around next time. We ordered choo chee cury with beef, and pad thai with seafood (extra egg & super spicy). The flavors embedded in the pad thai is just perfectly balanced.

Yutin Z.

Yelp
Great place for Thai food! I ordered takeout for dinner and it was nicely packaged for pickup! I ordered the pineapple curry, crispy wings, Thai tea, and crispy chicken pad Thai. The pineapple curry was amazing, probably one of the best curries I have ever ordered! Yes, I like pineapple on my pizza as well! The wings were crispy and mild in flavor. The pad Thai was just ok in my opinion. The Thai tea was great as well, the perfect amount of sweetness, strong thai tea flavor and creamy!

josh f.

Yelp
Slow and unfriendly- be prepared to wait. Food is fair - there are so many good Thai places in this area. Definitely go elsewhere

Nicole L.

Yelp
I stopped here on my lunch break the other day and ordered the Tom Kha Gai and steamed veggies. The restaurant was full and there was only one woman working the dining room but she was super friendly and made my experience that much better. The food did take some time and I noticed another table losing their patience, but there is a sign behind the register stating that they make fresh made to order from scratch food in their kitchen and it does take some time while also thanking customers for their patience so this wasn't an issue for me especially paired with the fact that there was only one server. The Tom Kha Gai was absolutely delicious. I only wish there was an added element of heat to it but I took care of that by asking for some chili on the side on my following visit the very next day. That's how good it was -- I came two days in a row upon my first visit and ordered the same thing. On my second visit I ordered the Som Tum which was absolutely delicious as well. When I returned the same server (there alone again) recognized me and asked how I liked everything the day before. I noticed other table stopping to commend our server on how amazing everything tasted.Truly out of this world service and incredible food. I will absolutely be returning again and I can't wait to become a regular customer. Delicious, gorgeous food.

Yelp
despite reading the reviews, we thought we would try picking up from here. Perhaps they are incapable of understanding the reviews or perhaps people in this area trust that it can't be that bad. That was our perspective yet here we are 15 minutes after the outside time that was promised for our food when we ordered it online and it is still not ready. Really? What does it take? if they promised it for an hour and a half later, we could make an informed decision. But to keep us sitting here is not just rude it is obnoxious. Once and not again

Anne C.

Yelp
Don't buy a gift card to this place! I bought my son a $50 gift card for Christmas and he has tried unsuccessfully to use it multiple times. First they told him they don't take gift cards for online orders, but tonight they told him they don't take gift cards at all! If they don't take gift cards, why did they sell me one? Guess I'll have to take this up with my credit card company. Very disappointing...he works in the area, but now he feels like he doesn't even want to do business with them at all. Epic fail.

George R.

Yelp
Great Crispy Pad Thai but more impressive was the Duck Soup, it was absolutely amazing. My wife had Basil Fried Rice which was also ver good. Will definitely order from here again.

Toni C.

Yelp
Excellent Thai food! Especially green curry! Best I've had in a long while!! Pineapple rice is very good too!

Cat W.

Yelp
I have come here two times for dinner. The service is nice and pretty fast. The food is good and the service is friendly. The atmosphere is nice and casual, so you can chat or do some phone or laptop browsing and no one will bother or rush you.

Deborah D.

Yelp
Thank you for making us order an hour before and still be 25 minutes late for this.... You should of offered for free. I would of rather of spent twice the amount at Bernards.

Ted L.

Yelp
The food was excellent . I had the masaman curry and loved it. my significant other had the seafood soup and it was very good. Not overly salted but a light broth which is how we both like it. Friendly Thai lady who seemed to be the owner was our waitress .. Small very casual atmosphere . She was the only one tending to customers but did it with a smile on her face.

David C.

Yelp
The owner was lovely and I took her recommendation right away! She said it wasn't on the menu, but very very delicious! She wasn't wrong, the pork barbecue was perfect all around to me. There was 3 slices of it with vegetables and rice. She even went as far as showing me how to eat the dish too. (I'm Asian, this isn't my first rodeo) There is a dip that comes with it. The best park of the pork was that it was sweetened just right and it was tender as well. I can eat it all day! My cousin ordered some kind of soup, but the coconut broth was so sweet, we thought it was his dessert. Definitely coming back for my pork bbq when I'm in the area. The only issue I had was that the check came a bit too fast (I have a rule to stop eating once it arrives), so this killed my mood a bit.

Bessie H.

Yelp
After waiting for 40 mins for the 2 appetizers, we saw a MOUSE running in the restaurant. The waiting was too long so we cancelled the 2 main dishes we ordered. Super disappointing and won't come back. Was told to remove my review- No, I won't. The fact is we didn't received the service we deserved and we wasted an hour waiting. A mouse is not acceptable, no matter how busy you were. Plus I think you spent too much time on takeout orders than dine-ins. I did not make up anything, so I don't know why I should do what you told me. You need to EARN the good reviews, not by yelling people to take down the bad reviews.

Lesley M.

Yelp
We would like to give the restaurant a 5 stars if we were told upfront that the fried icecream was not a free promoted item. We were just told they have a new dessert and would like to offer us at the end of the meal. We were not being asked how many orders we would like to try so we assumed we will get one because it sounds they were promoting that item for customers to try. Too sad that they were actually charging us $13 for "2 orders." We feel pretty uncomfortable with how they "purposely" promote that dessert by that way in order to sell more to the customers. Other than that, their food is great.

Linda G.

Yelp
fast, fresh, friendly + delicious! pleasant, easy going establishment no disappointments

B H.

Yelp
Super solid Thai restaurant. Really like the crispy chicken basil, pad prik khing, and pad si ew. My wife also loved the crab rangoon and Mas-Sa-Man curry. This is quickly becoming a go-to Thai place for us

Robo T.

Yelp
Continues to be delicious and amazing!! I've eaten a lot of thai food and their kapow chicken is is one of my absolute favorites!!! Its at the top of the list for the area!! Pair it with chicken satay and a scallion pancake and you wont be disappointed. Staff is always nice. The vibe is casual and relaxing. Whenever I'm in the area I pretty much insist to my husband that we have to eat here!

Yum Y.

Yelp
A serendipitous find, after rock climbing in Hammond Pond in Chestnut Hill, MA. We were greeted by a warm friendly face. The service was courteous and attentive. They make everything from scratch and NO Msg! The servings were huge. Prices were reasonable. We will definitely be back to test out more of the menu. See you next time!

Keiko C.

Yelp
Loved their green papaya salad and pad Thai with crispy chicken. Online order worked great.

Jessica C.

Yelp
I can see why ppl say the service here is horrible. I asked for thai tea with ice on the side and that's what I get. I asked why I was given half a cup and the lady says once you pour it in the ice cup you get a full cup. Who does that??? I had nothing else to say. Gave them another chance after a bad experience. Never going back. Will search for another Thai restaurant....

Jill B.

Yelp
great food! easy takeout, no problem parking and reasonably priced! highly recommend.

Alisa J.

Yelp
I could tell by the smell that it would not be good. J paid $30.00 for garbage. The curry chicken puffs had absolutely no curry or chicken in them. Only had mashed potatoes in them. The fried chicken smelled bad, was dried out and old. The duck pad thai was just okay. I would not recommend this restaurant at all.

B B.

Yelp
We ordered the food at 5:15 and asked that it be ready at 6:20-6:30 for pick up. They have a long history of being extremely slow and late with their food regardless of when you tell them you would like it to be ready. I arrived at 6:45 pm and was immediately asked to pay for my order but then was told the food was not ready. I waited for 30 minutes and was told twice by the owner that the food was 'almost ready'. Finally I demanded that he refund my money and he retreated into the kitchen to hide from me. I entered the kitchen while loudly speaking to my credit card company in order to cancel the charge. Miraculously the food appeared. DO NOT ORDER TAKEOUT... ... ... . . .

Mark V.

Yelp
We ordered food for two and was told to wait an hour. When we went to pick up our order, we were told to wait longer. We finally got our food after waiting almost another hour (~ 2 hrs total) with no offer of a discount and a weak apology. After eating their food, I then ended up getting sick in the bathroom all night until morning. After reporting this, they promised a full refund. Now, 2 weeks later and after dozens of calls they have still not issued one nor have they attempted to contacted me. Update: The owner just returned my call, was upset that I left him messages, and called me an xxx-hole. I recommend avoiding this place at all cost.

Dorit S.

Yelp
I had a pretty disappointing experience here last night. A number of inconveniences took place that I feel could have been avoided. When we arrived the waitress dropped our menus on a table and walked away. So we assumed that's where we would be sitting. We wanted to order fresh summer rolls, scallion pancakes and chicken satay appetizers. She said they did not have any fresh summer rolls even though they were on the menu. Ok... so we ordered the other two. About 30 mins later only the chicken satay arrived. We just assumed they were still making the scallion pancakes. But those pancakes never arrived. When ordering entrees I wanted the Thai Noodle soup but apparently that was another portion of the menu that was not available. So I chose something else. My friends pad Thai came about 20 minutes before my food which was frustrating for both of us. My friend said the meal was not good. After waiting a total of 45 min for my food it arrived finally when my friend was basically done eating. I had the red curry and I enjoyed it although not sure if it was because I was starving at this time. When the check came to our surprise the scallion pancakes were on the receipt. So not only did they not bring them but they also tried to charge us for them. An easy mistake to make, but at the end of the day there were so many made that we honestly were annoyed at this point. Not only this, but the restaurant was not even busy at the time. I just feel like the customer service could have been way better. I won't be heading back here. Even though my meal was tasty they are overpriced and the customer service is just terrible.

Andrea F.

Yelp
Unfortunately my order was 2 hours late tonight (technically 1 hour late as I gave them an hour like they said). The manager was very rude to me when I asked for a refund because at that point my 3 year old needed to eat and we couldn't wait any longer as it was nearing 8 pm. The manager insisted that because the food was already made and I had to be charged and I could either have it delivered to me or it would just sit there. I was very confused, hurt and felt taken advantage of. We were very excited to try out a new Thai restaurant as we just moved here recently. I mentioned that I would put a stop on that card and he said he would win if that happened. I felt like I was in another universe. I hope this doesn't happen to you :-(

Giang P.

Yelp
Let me start off the review with the good things: - The food was good. - My server, May, was a very friendly and sweet woman. - The atmosphere was okay. However, there is still room for improvement, it is very critical to get it right in order for me to come back or recommended anyone to come here: - The food is ridiculously overprice for oversize portion. I was stunned to see a big dish with 3 pieces of pork chop for $18. I noticed that another customer was also surprised at how big her fish dish is. The thing is as a person that just wants a quick meal before the movie, I was expecting to get a more proportional food size for roughly $10-$12. That's what I typically have/seen around asian restaurant around Boston. As the server told me that the restaurant has only been opened for 3 months, I was going to cut it some slack and just gave a good review to support local business until I talked to the owner. I generally gave constructive review that I was taken back by the bill, and thought they might want to rethink their strategy since the food is good, there is high chance of me coming back. I was then surprised when the owner not only that he didn't show any effort in receiving the feedback, he told me that he should have the to-go box. Then I repeated to him that I can't because I am going to the movie theater right after this. Overall, this is just my experience going to the restaurant for a quick dinner before the movie. The pricing strategy might work better for other people/ different circumstances, but for me, I might not come back here for a while.

Deb M.

Yelp
Overpriced. Takeout food - vegetables were over cooked and mushy! I like very spicy dishes but these were so hot I ended up throwing out the dishes ( I did not ask for extra spicy). I'm sorry you don't take constructive feedback well. I love spicy food, did not ask for extra spicy, and ended up throwing out the food as it was VERY hot and over cooked. People ordering should know to ask for mild and please not overlook so vegetables are not mushy. Maybe I hit an off-day but if you want to be successful the customer feedback should be respectfully accepted.

Don M.

Yelp
Absolutely revolting. We ordered Crispy Chicken Basil and Pad Thai yesterday and both were beyond bad. Where to start ... the "Crispy" Chicken Basil was overcooked, flavorless dark meat coated in soggy breadcrumbs with virtually no discernable basil or vegetables (I think I found one sprig of basil in the entire dish and there were a few token pepper chunks). To add insult to injury, the white rice was overcooked and dried out. The Pad Thai was what my dining companion referred to as "the cotton candy of Pad Thais." It was overly sweet without any additional attributes to recommend it. This was our first and last time at this restaurant. I have no idea how this restaurant has been getting an aggregated four-star rating, but I have to assume that the reviewers have never had quality Thai food.
