Alfredo Sauce Pizza w/Garlic & Broccoli One of the best pizzas I’ve had. 100% will order this again

Amadeus Naho

Google
Normally, I never have a bad word to say about Pini’s Pizzeria but today that Changed My order was very simple, Boneless buffalo wings with fried breaded mushrooms as a side order When I got my food The fried mushrooms looked perfect So there was no complaint there, but, When I opened the container of buffalo chicken, I was shocked to find that the chicken looked almost blackened, and it was drowned in buffalo sauce The chicken was absolutely inedible so I called back and I asked for it to be remade, To their credit they did do that, but, As a person who has worked in the food industry for many years, the cook Should have known better than to Reuse the same oil for what seemed like hours To the point that the chicken Looks like blackened chicken The first image below is the first buffalo chicken I ordered, Which was blackened The second image is the remade order, which looks perfect

Just check your receipt when you pay. Ask questions, what are you paying, cause they want to charge you delivery fee + convenience fee + they want you to put down how much do you want to give it to the driver? I feel sorry for the driver because after all the fees, I only gonna give it two dollars

Google
We love Pinis. When they moved to the neighborhood they quickly became our go to pizza shop. The food is flavorful, staff is friendly and they are incredibly consistent. Super lucky to have this gem in our backyard!

Luis Villeda

Google
Great Pizza. Amazing value and customer service. They only serve the best quality food possible and is made to order. Management is outstanding and very professional. I highly recommend this classic American pizza place.

Google
Really great pizza. The local type of pizza place we were looking for on our trip. Awesome fried mushrooms, amazing pizza, and kiddos loved the fried Oreos. (Yeah, the kids liked it 👀)

I went over to a friend's house and we ordered pizza from here. I hadn't had their pizza in a long time. The large is really big, at a great price. It was delicious, with plenty of pepperoni. The delivery driver was nice and curious. The price was great and it was delivered quick and hot. This is definitely one of the best places to get pizza. We got 2 blue cheese dressing on the side and the size was excellent. Pizza cooked perfectly. Ordering by phone was very easy.

Google
Stopped in for a quick lunch. I was very impressed with the quality and service.

Yelp
Hand down the best pizza in the neighborhood! Their Classic and Fenway are my favorites! My only critique is their margherita pizza doesn't have tomatoes sauce.

Dennis M.

Yelp
Ordered the Fenway pizza there. First time ordering and the order was on time when I picked it up. The pizza was totally yummy. Everyone in the store was insanely efficient! Certainly come back here again.

Riley W.

Yelp
Do not eat here. I would like to start out with how rude and unwelcoming the lady at the front was she had glasses and light brown hair. Right when me and my friend walked in to order she had the most miserable look on her face and did not greet us not even with a "hello." I started to tell her my order and she pulls out her phone and starts texting. I told her I wanted a meatball sub with light marinara with provolone, after I tell her this she rudely goes "do you want cheese" in a very annoyed tone. Maybe if you weren't buried in your phone you would have heard when I said provolone? The service isn't even the worst part. I got home after eating my sub and immediately felt sick. This awful establishment gave me food poisoning I have been vommitting for the last 24 hours and it has just stopped. The health department will be hearing from me. Half of the meat ball sub was the only thing I had eaten all day which is why I am positive my food poisoning is from here. Start checking your meats before feeding them to the public, do better.

Zach K.

Yelp
Waited over an hour for a "25 min" order. Waited in the store for over 30 min. Not a single staff member came up to me to give me an accurate time or apologize for the wait. People these days. The 10 pc wings was also 9 drums and 1 flat. Those aren't "wings" those are drum sticks

Liana A.

Yelp
We order from here OFTEN. I got my husband the spicy buffalo chicken pizza with no blue cheese sauce. Apparently I didn't put red sauce - no big deal. It still came with blue cheese which is a no no for his stomach, he can tolerate regular just a minimum amount of pizza cheese. I called, and the woman on the phone was OUTRAGEOUSLY rude! She argued with me why he could eat pizza cheese but not blue cheese? It doesn't have blue cheese!" I told her I was looking at the pizza. It's in the trash now. After arguing she said "I'll send you a new one" no thanks after that confrontation! Pinis is now our trash pizza place!

Sarah M.

Yelp
Mid week in-restaurant quick lunch. BIG slices, fresh salad with plenty of chicken, and service with a smile!

Sergio G.

Yelp
Loved pini's since they were in Somerville and will still get pizza from them even in medford

Bryan T.

Yelp
The pizza is great and I appreciate that they deliver in Somerville. We have been searching for a good pizza place so we are glad they opened. The cheeseburger pizza is unreal.

James C.

Yelp
Still I believe the best take out pizza in medford or Somerville Of course the sauce is the key not to tomatoey The way I like it not overly spiced like the franchise pizzas Reasonably priced There salad are large and best of all GREAT deals And if you spend over $25 bucks mention the $5 bucks off they don't issue it unless you ask And if you like extra crispy ask them to do so

Timothy L.

Yelp
I've been getting pizza here for over ten years and definitely like it. Tonight after a 12 hour day I ordered my usual pizza and stopped by on the way home to pick it up. I got home and it wasn't my order. Called them and spoke to the always nice lady who often answers the phone. She was very apologetic and offered a refund or to delivery a replacement. I opted for a refund and thought that was the end of it. My phone rings a few min later and it was who I assume is the owner as he referred to the woman I spoke to as his employee. No apology from him. He actually asked me if I could bring it back to the store. What? By the time he called I already threw it in the trash from disgust as just the smell of onions makes me want to gag. He said they normally do not give refunds without the pizza returned. Any way, this place is now off my list. No apology from the owner, lacking customer service resolution skills, and thanks for the great capper to my 12 hr day. If it were my business I would hop in my car with the correct pizza or coupon for a free pizza and personally deliver it to the customer's door. See picture for onion laiden pizza in trash. One piece for the dog, the rest recycled for garbage pickup on Friday. Never screw with a man's pizza. Just for clarity, my credit card transaction was voided, so no charge, just wasted time and the disappointment of a once loyal customer trying to support a local biz.

Joe H.

Yelp
The pizza is good (love some of the specialty varieties, like the hidden gem baked potato pizza) but the cheese breadsticks are to die for. Glad they still deliver to Somerville even after they were forced out of Ball Square.

Grace C.

Yelp
Ordered the large classic and large eggplant parm pizzas. Both pizzas were really good and fresh. For only $36, this was a steal! Best eggplant parmesan pizza I've had in the area.

Kayla H.

Yelp
Save your money and go to Domino's, that is the quality of this pizza. It seems they are false advertising as well, because the pizza featured on the website is not the pizza I received. Very disappointing!

Jason F.

Yelp
Great pizza! Closed after 11pm on a Friday night? Why are so many restaurants averse to making money since COVID? Boston, you need to be better than this!

Marq W.

Yelp
Their was a misunderstanding between the delivery driver and I. I selected cash tip and was told I didn't paid for the food that was delivered to me. I wasn't able to review my order and gave the driver cash 20 plus 4 dollars tip. Unfortunately I learned later that night that my card was actually charged. I believe this should be rectified as soon as possible. I will be calling in the morning when the business is open. Food was great. But I overpaid for services. Resolved Food is great

Niko A.

Yelp
One of the best pizza places in the area. Hands down. Great food, good prices and excellent customer service

Tina R.

Yelp
I was sad when Expresso's closed but I have tried Pini's who have replaced them and they are a good fit in the Hillside. They have great special pizzas, subs and salads. You won't be disappointed.

Jeremy K.

Yelp
On the day that I moved from Cambridge to Somerville, amidst the ridiculously high piles of cardboard boxes which filled my new apartment, Erick H. and I decided at some point or another to take a break and figure dinner out. Not having to energy to run to Shaw's to fill out completely empty (except for a couple of beer cans) fridge, we decided to settle for pizza. I launched my Yelp for iPhone app and searched for nearby pizza and found Pini's. The reviews were decent, and we proceeded to order a couple of pizzas and some drinks. The woman on the phone was efficient and within about twenty minutes our new doorbell rang and a delivery guy showed up with the goods. This was over a year ago. Since then, needless to say that we've repeated the experience countless times, but without the cardboard boxes littering our apartment. Mostly out of laziness, being too tired to cook, or when the weather was miserable outside. With a quick phone call and a short amount of patience, their thin crust-style, pretty good pizzas arrive. The best part: they aren't too greasy. Some of our favorites include their buffalo chicken pizza which comes with bits of blue cheese on it. For the more simple minded ones out there they still make a more than decent pepperoni one or even a plain cheese one as well. They also have a good amount of sides and appetizers that one can order with it such as their steak & cheese rolls, their mac & cheese bites, spinach rolls, spicy curly fries, and many more. Oh and they also have wings and wraps... All in all this place is a very decent pizza joint although it still has nothing on NY pizza. But that's another story...

Jeff F.

Yelp
Extremely disappointing pizza. You can tell when you open the box that ingredients are low quality. Bland overall taste. Save your time and money not even worth a try.

Everett O.

Yelp
Ordered via GrubHub and it said 55mins til delivery. My food was delivered in 20 minutes, even before the "food is on the way" text hit my phone (I live close by). Ordered the Margherita pizza and plain wings with teriyaki sauce. The pizza looked fantastic and tasted fairly good. The wings came coated in the sauce, was a little disappointed because I wanted them plain for dipping in ranch dressing. The website forced me to choose a sauce though. Price was fairly reasonable for what I received, will likely order again.

Jim B.

Yelp
I am disappointed In this place. They closed and sed they were opening new place. I went there there is a stop work order on door. No voice mail. Very unprefeshonal

Kimberly A.

Yelp
Eggplant and garlic pizza FTW. Pini's has enhanced many an outdoor Covid circle whilst sitting 10ft apart in the too-cold weather. Now it's warmer, we're vaccinated, and still love us the Pinis.

Fernando S.

Yelp
I've been ordering from pinis for years defiantly my go to for clutch pizza never a disappointment !

Joshua F.

Yelp
It is not as good as it once was I used to love ordering pizza from here but recently it has not been good at all I'd rather heat up a box pizza then order from here

Stephanie B.

Yelp
I'm from Winterhill, this is the definition of pizza for me. It hasn't changed in 20 years. I can always count on the same pizza I had as a kid.

Paul H.

Yelp
Pini's is great neighborhood pizza place, nothing crazy or out of the ordinary about it, solid pizza every time I order from them. I grew up in Cambridge but would frequent this place a lot. Their pizza is always good

Jessica B.

Yelp
We ordered two small pizzas which was plenty for two adults with lots of leftovers. They were delicious and the prices are great, we'd never ordered from them before but I think they'll be our go to from now on.

Darrell H.

Yelp
We used to live in magoun square and would order pinis at least once a week. We have since moved 20 minutes away but still come back at least once a month to pick up a buffalo chicken pizza as nothing else in our area comes close. Love you guys!

Jen T.

Yelp
cheap crap. Need to step up the pizza game. And appetizers. No more business here there are a million better spots

Alex C.

Yelp
Disappointed in the quality of the ingredients. I couldn't tell the difference between this and Dominos or Little Caesars.

Erika W.

Yelp
Fast and delicious. The sauce is great and honestly didn't know that I was missing out on having some toppings under the cheese.

Joe S.

Yelp
After the first bite I give the pizza a 5.7, we ordered a cheese pizza and sweet potato fries. Reasonable priced and delivery was pretty quick so I can't complain there. The pizza was just alright, definitely looked better than it tasted. The sauce almost tasted like it came out of the lunchable pizza packets so the quality wasn't there and it definitely wasn't next day pizza, after a couple hours in the box it just started to get hard as a rock. On the positive side the sweet potato fries were delicious, so if you try the pizza grab a side of fries too.

Brigitte J.

Yelp
I've never been disappointed by Pini's!! They have great pizza with great prices. Happy to live nearby!

Josh W.

Yelp
I want to be clear that I am brand loyal to this pizza. My girlfriend and I usually get this pizza once a week. We refer to it as "P3N1S" pizza. If you don't get it then you probably don't deserve to eat it. However this past week was an utter disaster. The pizza came in a box that looked like it had floated along a river to our doorstep. What came next was actually worse. We opened up the box and tried to draw a slice of our Hawaiian pie. Big fricken mistake. Out we pulled was one slice of dough while every topping that was clearly not attached to the slice fell off. This must only be a first slice problem we thought. Incorrect we were. Every slice the cheese ran off with the ham and the pineapple - like a nerd runs from a bully. While we attempted to find a slice (albeit unsuccessfully) that contained the entire package of cheese, ham and pineapple we created a Mount Everest of toppings. Once all eight naked slices were consumed we had our own mountains of toppings that we couldn't be more proud of but also disappointed in. A poor night of pizza it was. A dough only crusty disaster. Hopefully this was a one time occurrence, because while we had some laughs- in our hearts we felt a sense of lugubriousness.

Damien S.

Yelp
Pizza is naturally impressive if you can, upon delivery, lift the entire pie to nary a grease stain below. That'll do, Pini. As has been said ad nauseum, the slices are Siamese, ahem, co-joined twins of massive pizzacular triangles, and you can make up a special when ordering only to have them agree that, yeah, it's real and on one of the 30,000,000* flyers to coat your door with every year. Large, one topping pies ring in at $10 and arrive at your door just after you hang up, check your Facebook, check your Twitter and play one level of Angry Birds. Hawaiian is constant go-to, or try the oft underrated eggplant on your next 'za for a crunchy, fibrous and - YES SHAUN! - mostly nutritionally-devoid faux veggie. They don't skimp on layering, and I've never felt groggy after killing a few slices. Besides, it's called Pini's and it's next to Wang's. Pinis, Wang; Wang, Pinis. Are you there third grade? It's me, Damien.

Erica S.

Yelp
Fact: Biggest slice in town. Dude, seriously. Fact: Free delivery! Fact: Most bang for your buck, as far as pizza is concerned. Hands down. Fiction: You're the only one who calls it Penis Pizza. The truth is, I do too. I also noticed that it's in Ball Square. And that it's next to Wang's Chinese. And Woody's Liquor. Yeah, I noticed. Did I mention I'm 12? *giggling like a school girl* (Really though, the pizza is good!)

Don D.

Yelp
I've been a loyal Pini's customer for fifteen years. BUT: tonight, I had my kids order a pizza for themselves, because I was going out for a backyard dinner with friends. I got home, and my kids' pizza still hadn't come. Finally, just now, nearly two hours after the order, my son found the pizza on our front porch, stone cold. Apparently, the shop's delivery guy didn't ring our doorbell, he didn't call us. He just left it on our porch, and drove away. Y'know, their pizza is reliably good, but it's pretty bad for the first slice to be cold. My son called the shop to complain, and they breezily said they'd take $2 off the price. Not good enough, actually. A firm promise would've been better.

Marco C.

Yelp
This was the worst condition pizza I have received from Pini's. Almost every time I've ordered, I did not have an issue, but today was a different story.

Julia C.

Yelp
We got a veggie deluxe and a meat lovers and it was great! Super fast and delicious. So stoked for leftovers.

Ashlie M.

Yelp
I'm being nice by giving two stars. I'm new to Boston and was hoping to find my go to spot. This will not be it. Their pizza was OK. Nothing to rant an rave over. I would have rather eaten dominos. However their wings... VOMIT. Please don't EVER order their wings. They are so gross and not editable. They probably have been sitting in a freezer for years then cooked way too long in the deep fryer. They also forgot my ranch when I asked twice for it. I ordered via Grubhub and luckily they refunded for me for the wings. Delivery was quicker than expected. But that's about it.

Susan K.

Yelp
Visiting from New Hampshire and in the mood for an Italian Pie. After reading numerous reviews from several restaurants and based on a recommendation chose Pini's Is Fenway with sausage, red peppers and onions. Believe me when I tell you, it was absolutely delicious. Crust was perfect and foldable with crispy outer crust. The sauce and peppers and onions were a bit sweet and the sausage savory with a bit of heat. Wonderful! Although delivery time was to be 40 minutes. The pizza arrived in under 30. Nice and warm. Next trip I will definitely visit the shop to buy a piping hot pie. Highly recommend this establishment.

Sam C.

Yelp
Best pizza place in Boston. Try their Buffalo chicken pizza (I get it with ranch instead of blue cheese), it is amazing!!!!

Sara B.

Yelp
Love this place! I usually order simple pizzas (cheese, green pepper/onion, etc) and they never disappoint. Delivery is timely. And amazingly, Pini's has kept the bar high even in recent months. If you're ordering online, make sure you go through the right site. Looks like Grubhub set up a shadow site ("pinispizzeria.com") that shows up in the first page of my Google search results. You can tell because the order link on the shadow site redirects to Grubhub. I believe the actual site is "pinispizzeriasomervillema.com", though have no way to confirm. Apparently Grubhub uses shadow sites and phone numbers to claim commission on more delivery orders (https://thecounter.org/grubhub-domain-purchases-thousands-shadow-sites/). Since Pini's consistently provides such excellent food and service, I want to make sure my money is going directly to them. So, check to make sure you're using their actual phone number/website, then order away!

Emily B.

Yelp
Pini's is a small little pizza shop with very little seating, but the best pizza that I've ever had. When I first moved to Somerville, a friend came over and expressed how jealous she was that I lived so close to the place because of how good it is. They have large and small pies and it is fairly priced. The employees are always kind when I go in and even know me by name now (it's really good I go there a lot). I've only ever ordered pizza here, but I'm sure that anything on the menu would be fantastic.

Madison M.

Yelp
I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza and it was awesome! The perfect balance of spicy for the chicken, and the peppers were a great addition. Reasonably priced and great service. They have pickup and delivery available through GrubHub. Definitely coming back and would recommend!

Sam J.

Yelp
I'm shocked they don't have four+ stars. I've had a lot of pizza and this place stacks up. In is rumored that "Kiki" is actually Pini's. Think about it. Pini's. Do you love me? And the answer is yes. Yes I do.

Bryan S.

Yelp
I was turned away at 9:45pm on a thursday. Their website says they are open until 10pm. I got there at 9:45 and the closed sign was on and the staff were all there. I went in and asked when they close because I thought it was 10. The staff looked uncomfortable and said 9:45pm.

Deja K.

Yelp
I think pini's pizza is really delicious. It is just the right amount of cheese and their sauce is delicious. The crust is never burnt and always looks perfectly cooked. I like the fries and mozzarella sticks that they have here.

Pedro B.

Yelp
The Mozzarella sticks had a curry tang? They were the best I've ever had. So delicious, to be clear, that my taste buds sang. I ate them so quickly...oh gosh it was so sad. The Pini's supreme is not quite the same. The ratio cheese to tomato sauce was perfection. But, the garlicky thin dough reminded me of Dominos... what a shame. But all said and done, Pini's, you got my affection.
