70 New Restaurants and Bars That Have Opened in San Diego | Eater San Diego

"I noted a new casual Asian restaurant and Karma Lounge at Sycuan Casino Resort serving a pan-Asian menu that spans build-your-own pho and banh mi to fried rice, dim sum, pad Thai, and bento boxes, while the lounge offers bar bites like chicken karaage, sisig tacos, and uni shooters alongside cocktails using Japanese whiskey, Filipino coconut liquor, and matcha liqueur." - Candice Woo

Checked out Pink Buddha while at Sycuan for the MSPT. Overall, it was pretty good definitely more of a fast casual vibe compared to the other restaurants on property, but it gets the job done if you’re in the mood for something quick and Asian-inspired. Best part seems to be they stay open late. I had the fried rice and the spicy beef with white rice. The fried rice was decent, nothing to write home about, but the spicy beef was pretty solid good flavor and portion size. It wasn’t a standout meal, but it wasn’t bad either. If you’re looking for something fast and filling between sessions or late night, Pink Buddha is a convenient option. Not a must-visit, but worth a stop if you’re in the mood.

Not fine dining, but not bad either. I had the Mongolian beef with a side of fried rice and a soda for about $27. I'd eat here again. Located on the ground floor near the escalators and behind the slot machines.

Pretty decent Asian restaurant inside the casino. I wouldn’t say the best. It hits the spot when you’re craving some Asian food. It’s basically a walk up counter where you order your food and then a server comes to your table to bring it out to you.

Mixed feelings about the Pho. The soup was not hot enough because the noodles were just breaking up when you tried to mix the soup. Noodles are not supposed to fall apart. Maybe it's just me being critical because I've been eating Pho since 1991. Maybe it was just a bad day for the Cook. What causes the noodles to get stuck together? The second half of the order was the rice and Bulgogi dish with kimchee. The rice was crunchy. I don't think sticky rice is supposed to be crunchy. Overall the food tasted okay but that just means it is edible. Again maybe it was a new Cook being trained.

Why the low reviews? The décor is vibrant, food fantastic and service superb! The restaurant is so cute one would think they need table service but I’m not sure if this is what Sycuan was looking for. Ultimately, I want to say it’s somewhat of a quick table service eat fast and go when you please more for the gambler on the go. LOL Pay and order take your number find a seat…. Ordered Wor Wonton (Large) – Delicious with 6 pcs of good size wontons, 3pcs med size shrimp, ton of pork, beef, carrots, mushrooms and bok choy! If this is the base for the pho (which probably is) I can guarantee you the pho here is as bomb! Salt and pepper wings – Cheehoo the salt and pepper wings were a perfect paring with the wor wonton! Came out piping hot and seasoned with perfection. More than enough for two hungry gals, even had left overs!

This restaurant is located in a casino away from the busy roads of CA. It’s a nice cool area, the drive is scenic. The servers are friendly. You’ll have to park outside (plenty of parking) walk through the casino and enter the restaurant. The servers are very attentive. They don’t have a large menu, but kind of anything for everybody. Very clean place.

Google
I was completely disappointed with this place. We were so excited to try it out. The atmosphere is bright and beautiful. Very nice set up and the decor is cute. It is very pricey for what you get. Being a Pho connoisseur my husband ordered the Pho which was served luke warm! The noodles were all stuck together cause the soup wasn't hot enough. I tried the bulgogi and rice, the rice was crunchy. It was either undercooked or old! The bulgogi had great flavor but was a small portion for the price and was also served just warm. You have to order at the register and your food will be brought to you. Other than that you don't have a server. You also have to fill and refill your own drinks. It's basically restaurant prices for fast food service. I honestly expected higher quality.

Hey San Diego - Need a place for a date? Plan your stay at Sycuan and visit Pink Buddha. Excellent ambiance, clean and the food is delicious. Wife had the Banh Mi PORKCHOP and I had the Chicken BH…both superb. Our friends had a huge bowl of Pho and his wife had the BBQ Pork Skewers…again Delicioso. This is a 5 star ⭐️ #sdfoodie place - See Pics

Yelp
Pink Buddha fare is decent. Despite the pesto bismol pink I loved the buddhas dancing all over the place and , I did enjoy the orange chicken and Mongolian beef portions Service was great, never had a an issue here

Yelp
Dude. This review kind of kills me but in my eyes I'm being pretty generous with three stars considering what I went through. WHAT DID YOU GO THROUGH, BRAD!? WE WANT TO KNOW!!!! Well, a group of friends and I were staying at the hotel for the evening and in between gambling we had to get some grub, right? Well, the steakhouse and the Mexican spot were closed so we came here. As we waited for a table I stepped up to the bar at Pink Buddha, scrolled through the machine to find a game to play, and before throwing my money in they sat us at a table. I sat down and almost instantly realized my phone was gone. Fast forward about 30-45 minutes of calling the phone (that would answer and hang up before being turned off) and using the find my Iphone feature, the barternder magically "found" it and had it the entire time. C'mon. Really? I digress. So I ordered my soup, which was placed in front of someone else at my table that didn't realize it before diving in, and I had to ask where my soup was. They realized they dropped it at the wrong seat and brought me a new one 10 minutes later - the table was already almost done. Here's the kicker, it was served without a spoon and when I asked for one they said they didn't have any more! Seriously! So... get this... they brought me a damn ladle to eat with. I wish I was kidding. The soup was pretty damn good but between the disappearing phone and eating a bowl of soup like a damn horse, it was far from an enjoyable experience.

Yelp
Four of us enjoyed a fabulous meal at Pink Buddha on a Friday night. We were seated at a booth in the back and were greeted by Crystal, one of the best servers we've ever had anywhere. She was great! Sisig Tacos and Lumpia for the table to start. Honestly, I could've stopped there. The tacos were served as three and were generously filled succulent pork topped with cilantro and other toppings of which I do not recall. (No description on the menu). In any event, they were exceptional. The lumpia were excellent also. Served piping hot with an incredible sweet Thai chili dipping sauce. For my entree I chose the Bulgogi Beef from the Wok portion of the menu. I ordered it extra spicy and upgraded to fried rice, rather than the default white. It was served with a small container of kimchi. This was delicious. Thin strips of meat were tender and flavorful. The large helping of rice was very good and the kimchi was spicy! Becky chose the Kung Pao Chicken; she also went with the fried rice. She loves Kung Pao chicken. We were at Pink Buddha last year and she had it then too. She loves the Buddha version, then and now. Our friends each chose a Bento Box. Hers with orange chicken and vegetable egg roll, his with Mongolian Beef and the California roll. They both were very happy with their respective choices. As noted, service was fantastic. Crystal is an all-star and quite an asset to Sycuan. I do not see us visiting Sycuan and not going to Pink Buddha.

Yelp
12/2025 This place is ok if your looking for convenience at a casino where you may have lost some money. Hopefully, you received enough points to pay for your meal. The food is decent, but not for the price and what you would expect at a casino. The entrees average about $18 with meager portions. Some dishes don't have enough protein such as the "beef" chow fun where it's 80%-90% noodles with some scraps of beef. If you order take-out, they give you a pager that doesn't work if you walk too far. I was near the rear entrance and it never worked. Just check on your order in 20 minutes.

Yelp
Sycuan Asian Fusion Restaurant. Pretty decent Asian restaurant inside the casino. I wouldn't say the best. It hits the spot when you're craving some Asian food. It's basically a walk up counter where you order your food and then a server comes to your table to bring it out to you. I don't know what to recommend since I'm still warming up and trying different food here to convince me.

Yelp
Asian restaurant in Sycuan Hotel and Casino. Char siu bao was actually pretty good. Bao was steamed and fluffy. Char siu was moist. I would've liked to have a little more char siu to even out the meat to bun ratio. The pork dumplings were yummy too. Thick, Hand made wrappers. The dipping sauce could be a little less sweet. Now for the pancit. IMO, that's not pancit. Noodles were too thick to be bihon and too thin to be Canton. Tasted more like fried noodles. Overall, it was ok. The Filipino cashier seemed stressed out. Maybe that's why she was so abrupt with customers? It's ok, we all have days like that. Next time we're there, definitely trying the pho.

Yelp
The service was very quick and friendly and the restaurant itself was very cute and pink. I would 100% recommend the sisig tacos from here. We also got the char sui bao, shrimp pad thai, and the pork belly. Unfortunately the pork belly was way too mushy and tasted burnt, and the char sui bao was very plain, but I would definitely come back for those sisig tacos.

Yelp
Very decent Chinese and other Asian food. Definitely worth the visit. Not bad at all for being inside a casino.

Yelp
This restaurant is conveniently located in the Sycuan Casino. There are many other options in the casino for food, and I would not recommend this one. My plate was very simple- a pink Buddha bento box with spicy garlic chicken, fried rice, and veggies. The only thing on my plate that tasted good was the veggies. The garlic chicken was sour and soggy, and the fried rice was dry and not seasoned. My plate came with a side order of miso soup, which had lots of tofu and seaweed. Overall, I only enjoyed the miso soup and veggies. When I finished those, I tried the fortune cookie that came with my food. It was so stale! For nearly $30, you can get better food elsewhere. Their service is also unorganized here. When we ordered, we asked for everything to go, and for my mother-in-law's meal to be bagged separately because she was leaving after we got our food. When we picked up the food, they confirmed that her order was in the separate bag. When she got to the parking lot, she saw that she did not have her correct order- she had mine instead.

Yelp
After an unexpected early closure of the food service at the pool, we found ourselves inside the casino searching for food. Pink Buddha was the first place we came across and decided to give it a go. I love a good chow mein and the imperial chow mein hit the spot. I ordered mine without shrimp and veggies but it usually has shrimp, chicken and beef. The menu has a wide selection of Asian dishes, including Chinese, Vietnamese, Filipino, Thai, Japanese and Korean.

Yelp
Back again and we decided this is the only restaurant at Sycuan that we want to eat at! Tried some new items like the pad thai and the honey walnut shrimp, liked both of them. The only thing we didn't like was the lumpia, sorry but they were about as bland as Jack-in-the-Box eggrolls. Not to fear, you guys made up for it with the ube cheesecake, sooo good!
google avatar

Rebecca C.

Yelp
quick Asian fusion bites. Pho was standard, rare steak was a bit tough, but they were generous with the amount of beef, noodles, and meat. It's a build your own spot and the broth is decent. The chicken bahn mi was missing heat and the pate was not traditional at all, and simply kew pie mayo based. Crunchy shrimp roll was saucy and the shrimp on top was nicely fried, but they really stuff it with the crab which is nice. It's order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Oddly had to ask for chopsticks.
google avatar

Joyce L.

Yelp
This review is based on the pork banh mi sandwich alone. For an unassuming restaurant in a casino, I did not expect much. But they have a nice casual ambiance, and that sandwich was good! I'd definitely get it again! The pork was nice & juicy, with the right balance of pickled veggies. Price point was also not too exorbitant (plus some casino food credit, woohoo!). Next time I'm gambling at Sycuan, will definitely stop by for a bite of that pork banh mi sandwich again! ;)

Yelp
I went here a while back for a quick Casino sesh. Food: * We got Sisig Tacos which was a 7/10. The sisig was cooked thoroughly, but I've had better sisig. I think it could have been more crispy. The sauce it came with was phenomenal because it was a cilantro, avocado, lime sauce that paired well with the salty sisig. The tortilla for the tacos was soft and was excellent for the overall tacos. 3 tacos for $15 * Shumai was 7/10. The flavor and taste was as expected, but 3 Shumai for $8 was not what I expected portion wise. * Bento Box is 5/10 The Bento Box is customized which I chose the California Roll, Vegetable Fried Rice, Bulgogi Beef, and some stir fried Vegetables. The bento box also comes with Miso Soup. Since the food came out super quick, we could tell that the vegetable fried rice was cold/ not fresh. It was mushy and we could tell it must have been sitting out for more than a couple minutes. Also the California roll was not fresh, it must have been sitting in the fridge for a couple hours because the rice from the roll was really firm. The best part about the bento box was the Bulgogi beef which had amazing sweet and salty flavor. *Ube Cheesecake 10/10. Personally, I love Ube cheesecake so this cake was amazing! It was the right amount of sweetness. Not to sweet, and not to bland. It was the perfect desert after eating savory food. Our total came out to $60.08 so it is definitely on the more pricey side. Service: There is two lines, one for dine in and one for to go. When we got there there was no line at all, and the person working the register was very nice and took our drinks to us. We even asked about allergies and they made sure to not cross contaminate any nuts. Ambiance: Inside pink Buddha is very beautiful and refreshing because of the pink and golden hues. They have cute Buddha statues displayed, with a mix of greenery which gives a relaxed and aesthetic setting. I liked seeing a little moss display near the seating area. All tables also have oyster sauce, chili sauce, sriracha, and soy sauce for your convenience. Overall, a great place to eat with swift service!

Yelp
I have been coming here since they opened, and they have been pretty consistent with the taste, portions, and pricewise. My fav is the BBQ Pork Skewers though. The vinegar based dipping sauce is fire. The Salt & Pepper wings were also good, but they needed to fry them just a tad more done. The lumpia is mid as you can get the same taste via the frozen ones from Seafood City. The last time I came though, I tried something new. Not so sure that was a win though. The lettuce wraps had more chestnuts than chicken, and to pay $9 for 3 small tempura shrimp that are equivalent to the SeaPak ones in the frozen section at the grocery store was insane. Still a good Asian inspired fast food spot with fresh food.

Yelp
Marcia Goode was our waitress and not only is she smiling and friendly every time, but she makes us feel like family there. My girlfriend and I go there many times and we always enjoy her service and the wonderful food!

Yelp
The pork belly is a must try! So good! Will definitely be going back just to have it again. Service was lacking - slow and inattentive staff.

Yelp
I love that you can eat Chinese food late night. They get an extra star for that ! I love how the dining room is decorated too . It's just adorable and gives me a warm feeling . The food is pretty good . It's not the best Chinese food you will ever eat and it's not the worst .

Yelp
Came back from a Dodgers/Padres game and I was so hungry so this place stood out. The wait wasn't too long as I took my food to go. I gave it 3 stars because my musubi was so cold! I went back up to ask them about it and the nice waiter went to ask the chef and apparently that's how it's made. I was so hungry at that point that I didn't care and just ate it. Also, when I bit into my lumpia, a whole bunch of oil just leaked out and burnt my mouth. It was the most greasy lumpia i've ever had. I'm part filipino and I disapprove of this lumpia lol I knew I should have looked at the reviews before coming here
google avatar

Yelp
Who knew you could find some of the best food at a casino located in the boonies? Pink Buddha has some of the best Asian food I've ever had in San Diego. The night started off strong with their amazing friendly staff. Shoutout to Maria for helping us out. She was patient when we were figuring out what to eat. There's a good amount of options on their menu. We opted for the teriyaki salmon bowl, sisig tacos, fried rice and honey walnut shrimp. Everything was good, except the fried rice. Personally, I think it lacked flavor. However the salmon, sisig tacos and honey walnut shrimp were cooked to perfection. The broccoli with the salmon was so soft. I even fed left overs to my baby at home. She loved it! The sisig tacos are huge. The pork was so good with a squeeze of lime and the sauce it comes with. Ambiance is so cute. I love the decoration inside. It's so inviting. The restaurant was also super clean. Highly recommend eating here! They're open late too for all you night owls.

Yelp
Always a must when we come!! The spicy garlic chicken is my favorite best food and super packed all the time

Yelp
The Best Chinese Restaurant in town!! All the staff is very friendly but Teresa is one of the best host you can get at this fine restaurant!! Service is a breeze and very efficient. The facilities are very clean and elegant. Highly recommended!!
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
Pink Buddha and their bar next door called Karma are both sooo CUTE! My favorite color is pink so I was extra loving the ambience. I have been here a few times for drinks and appetizers. Prices are not bad for being at a casino. I have tried their chicken lettuce wraps and bao buns, and both were tasty. They also have cute sake glasses that you can take home. Friendly staff but service can be a little slow. I am interested in trying out their other dishes next time I visit this casino :)
google avatar

Nolita R.

Yelp
Food was ok, The radish salad had a lot of juice. Ube Cheesecake didn't taste like Ube.
google avatar

Shanna C.

Yelp
The food quality has definitely gone down in the past few years. Will not be eating here anymore. Last time I got bad sushi. I should have known when I saw that it looked off, the seaweed looked old and the crab meat tasted sour. So gross! Tried the wonton soups and the broth was SALTY AF!! Stay away from this place
google avatar

Beahr G.

Yelp
Well let's start off with the service! Marsha our server was so awesome!!!! She is friendly and compassionate with the service she brings to your table. She gives suggestions what you may enjoy. All her suggestions were perfect! My Ohana and I haven't tasted and truly enjoyed delicious food like we have in a long time, since we were kids! I love that the Manager,Christina came out and spoke with us about the food and service. Christina was genuinely interested and listened to what we experienced and was delightful and kind! If you are at Sycuan Casino, PLEASE stop in at the Pink Buddha for great food!!! Thank you Marsha and Christina for the wonderful hospitality!!! Thanks, Beahr,Bernie and Wayne

Yelp
This is my favorite place to grab a quick bite to eat in Sycuan, the staff is nice, the service is fast, and I just love how it's decorated. So far I've tried the fried rice, pork belly, and edamame. All of these items tasted good. My favorite has to be the fried rice. I enjoyed the pork belly but just wish they made it so it had some type of crispyness to it. Other than that the flavor is great it's served with white white and I like to add some chili on it *wink* if you have to pick between here and rank and file do yourself a favor and eat at pink Buddha
google avatar

Athena B.

Yelp
Omg!! First time visiting Sycuan Casino and I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Kelly at the Pink Buddha Bar. She was our server and was the absolute best! She is also the bartender and made THE best drinks I think I ever had. The food was amazing and the service was even better. If you come to San Diego and need a drink... come see Kelly!! Ask for Dynamite Shrimp!!
google avatar

France C.

Yelp
Pork skewers were absolutely delicious this time. Something changed for the better Marinade on point as was the beautifully cooked pork chunks.
google avatar

Gavin H.

Yelp
I am not sure of the negative reviews; however, this place definitely deserves more love! They have a wide array of cuisines from Chinese to Vietnamese pho. Everything was delicious! The dim sum was good and the pho was very fresh! I also appreciate the support of more vegan/vegetarian options too! Also, one of my friends is very critical on Chinese food and she loved it! (#KarenStampOfApproval). With the variety of options and good food, I definitely will come back here when I return to Sycuan!

Yelp
Pink Buddha is located inside Sycuan casino. My husband and I decided to come here for our anniversary for a couple of nights. We saw that pink buddha was now open and decided to give it a try. Honestly, the food reminded me of PF Changs. I did not like the taste of the food. We had ordered the kung pao chicken and spicy Korean pork belly. The kung pao chicken is sweet rather then spicy which is perplexing to me. The sauce they use doesn't seem like it is for kung pao chicken. That was a major disappointment to me. As for the spicy Korean pork belly that made me laugh when I saw it on the table we sat at. It is NOT pork belly. For Korean pork belly, you would expect crispy pork belly in some type of spicy sauce or something. This was not the case. It was braised and it made the pork belly taste nasty. It did not taste good at all. To top if off, my husband went back around 1:30am to buy the pho for to go because he got hungry. He waited for 30 mins for his food until a worker asked him if he was waiting for food. The only reason the worker asked was because they were closing at 2am. My husband knew that the soup wasn't going to be hot anymore because he had waited for so long. When he got back to the room, the soup was cold. He ordered the raw meat with the pho, so he's not able to eat it because the soup isn't even hot to cook the meat. This place shouldn't advertise that they are open until 2am when they can't do it. This isn't how customer service should be and this is very disappointing.
google avatar

Danny J.

Yelp
Honestly some of the worst Asian food I've ever had. Ordered to go, pancit with chicken and their teriyaki chicken bowl. Pancit was completely bland with about15% white meat and the rest were chucks of brown that I have no idea where it came from on the chicken. The bowl came in a square Styrofoam container. A scoop of rice, next to a scoop of broccoli and a scoop of those brown chunks again. All the brown nuggets were dry and tasteless. Under the so-called chicken was a very bland sauce. Not even mixed together in a bowl. The teriyaki bowl at Jack in the Box is five stars better than this let down. I have to admit my three dogs ate all the chicken,,...,I didn't and won't again,
google avatar

Fred F.

Yelp
Over priced for the amount of food and 45 minute wait when the dining room and to go waiting area was empty. Ridiculous.
google avatar

Crystal M.

Yelp
The wait is very very long for the food. Maybe I should have tried one of the noodles but, we came in for just a little something, not a full meal. The taste wasn't bad, I thought it taste fine, but for the long wait, it made it not so good lol. The Ube cheesecake also just taste like regular cheesecake, so maybe they just use food coloring. The ambiance is very cute though, they are very clean inside, and it isn't so loud when you walk in and sit.

Yelp
I had just finished a poker tournament in the poker room and needed to refuel before heading back home (and, yes, I placed 2nd in the tournament). I had seen the sign for the Pink Buddha and thought I would try it. Well, the service and the way you ordered were extremely confusing. They had one side for takeout and the other side for dine in. There was one cashier, and the cashier seemed overwhelmed by the people coming in for the late dinner rush. She told me to wait, and she would call me over when she went to the other side to help with the line at the takeout side. I waited until she wasn't busy, and this other customer boldly went to her and cut in front of me. I felt that she totally ignored me, and I had to go up to her and place my order. This was my first time in this place, and already, the service was not on par with what I expected. I then ordered the large phò with rare steak, brisket, and meatballs. I also ordered an order of lumpia and a Thai tea. The booths were nice and spacious and, for the most part, clean - the floor under the table needed to be swept. When I got my food, I noted that the rare steak was not on top. I am used to phò places to have there rare meat on top of the soup and the cooked ones under the noodles. The beef broth was not as succulent as I would have hope for, and it was a bit lacking. The lumpia was what I would deem a Shanghai style roll with more wrapper than filling. The filling itself was nondescript and lacked any flavor. And the Thai tea - well, how can you mess that up? It's Thai tea, for God's sake! Overall, I would rate this place a C. It would have to suck way more for me to rate it lower. And, for $30+ I expected way more. I should have just taken my ass to Convoy in Clairemont Mesa! I would save your money and eat outside of the casino if you want some good phò!
google avatar

NJ C.

Yelp
Service was average. Clean and decorate in pink. House Fried Rice was okay. Would return when I visit the San Diego area.
google avatar

Cathy L.

Yelp
After playing Bad Bingo at Sycuan, it was late so we got food to take back to our room. I ordered the fried pork chop Bahn mi and my boyfriend got the spicy garlic chicken. We were so disappointed! The chicken dish had hardly any chicken, it was mostly crumbs of breading/garlic! The pork in the Banh mi was too sweet, and it had too much sauce which made the bread soggy.
google avatar

Michael L.

Yelp
The food here is so good! I get the Banh mi sandwich beef and it is amazing! The Mongolian Beef here is good too and the lompia is as well. Their decor is really nice and up to date. The service here is amazing too! They have a karma lounge next door that is connected to the pink Buddha and it's amazing! Try it out!
google avatar

Bob D.

Yelp
OMG! This place is the bomb!! The food was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! You might have to stand in line to order, but the taste of the food is worth it! Don't forget to try the ube cheesecake for dessert!!!
google avatar

Jeremy D.

Yelp
We've been coming here since they opened, we're fans of Asian food. All of the soups are amazing here. The prices went up within the last two weeks, I've posted the updated menu. We got the war wonton soup to go last time because it's delicious and knew it would come in handy later. We have had a mixture of their beef, chicken, veggie options, rice and noodle dishes, all of their soup, salad and dumplings. Everything has been amazing so far and also consistent. It's the same yummy dish each time we order it. The pho is huge. The pork belly is a must have.

Rodey B.

Yelp
I wanted to give this eatery another try. Once again, utterly disappointed on their yang chow fried rice...sooo bland. The Chef there might want to reach out to the Chef at Ginger Noodle Bar in Viejas Resort and Casino and get a crash course on yang chow fried rice 101.

Yelp
We visit Sycuan often and are treated well by staff overall. However, here at Pink Buddha, we were greeted and treated with extremely poor customer service by the cashier named Anet (sp?) on Saturday, July 16th, 2022 at 8:42 PM (for receipt purposes). We were respectful paying customers who were publicly chastised so of course it's going to elicit a bad yelp review. The scoop/beef (not the Mongolian type): I went to sit down because my group was next in line to order. Although we were cordial and jovial, Anet rudely shouted (with condescending and obnoxious hand gestures) that we could not sit before ordering. She did not kindly tell us the rule, which we would have gladly obeyed if not publicly shouted at. The facts: (a) there was no sign indicating that rule, (b) there was no "have you dined with us before? No? okay this is how it works." (c) it was not busy, there were several empty tables and no one was behind us, (d) we watched other customers [who had the pleasure of not being so impolitely and publicly degraded like we were] do the same exact thing. It was our first time at Pink Buddha (may be our last), so honestly how were we supposed to know if the rule was never communicated? No physical sign, no kind verbal greeting, nothing. The problem was not this rule, again, we were happy to follow it. Rather, it was Anet's execution and approach. Her tone and need to raise her voice was out of line and uncalled for when we were nothing but respectful paying customers. She probably expected us to drop to her level, but we remained respectful. Anet was very loud to the point where the other diners were eyeing our table, it was extremely uncomfortable and made us very uneasy. One diner even looked at me in support and confused by her hostility toward us. We were all very shaken by Anet's attitude and it ruined our appetite, it would not be fair for me to rate the quality of the food - so note that this is only for the treatment of their customers. The manager on duty, Charmaine, visited our table and kindly listened to our grievances, a gesture that we whole-heartedly appreciated. (Thank you for your efforts to rectify the situation, Charmaine!). Please re-train Anet, give her a lesson in respect and hospitality, or kindly ask her to re-evaluate her career options. Her delivery was very off-putting and did not exemplify even the bare minimum of customer service. If this behavior is continued at this establishment, I would take my money elsewhere and recommend that other casino patrons to do the same. I am sure the restaurant could care less about this review and I am just a drop in the bucket at the end of the day, but I felt like I needed to say my piece. Thanks to anyone who reads this and feels my pain! Being respectful is a choice and being rude is a choice, both are free.

Yelp
Good was surprisingly delicious. The portion sizes are great for the price and they have a lot of great options, including vegetarian options.

Yelp
Flavorful food is what I strive for. And trying something new is an adventure. We hit up the Pink Buddha on 12/22. I had the imperial chow mein and wife had the mongolian beef. Both dishes were flavorful and tasty. Nice ambience with the pink buddha statues doing different poses. We will be back to eat there soon.

Yelp
Kelly is the best! She took her time to share the menu and offer recommendations. Everything was great especially the Ubae Cheesecake! A must have. Great service here.

Yelp
Spam Masubi was cold, and Lumpia was literally just rolled up grease. The Banana sauce and the fortune cookie were the only 2 things that saved my wife and I on that order. BUT! Cute decor, and the service was great! So, that brought me up to 2 stars.

Yelp
Me and a friend came to Sycuan casino Thursday night to play and try the Pink Buddha for a late night dinner. Plenty of tables available at around 11pm, but took a good 15 minutes in line to order the food first before seating yourself. There was only one person handling the dine in orders and take out orders, so the long wait prevented a 5 star. Ordered the grilled pork and beef Vietnamese sandwiches, both were the highlights. Good fresh ingredients and fresh grilled meats, definitely recommend trying them if you come here. Also ordered the brisket pho with the beef broth, also good except the broth was only warm, wish it was hotter. They stay open late, till 2am which I liked. Will definitely come back again and try some other menu items.
