Google
Amazing restaurant for Tacos, Burritos and Fajitas! We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel and this restaurant is in the complex, so we picked it for our last lunch in Vegas... we were not disappointed! They have some good brunch menus from which we took the “breakfast burrito” and then we went for more classic dishes like the “pink tacos” (Amazing!), “Mexican seared tuna” and Shrimp Fajita (Wow!). As a starter we also had some tortillas (from the house). Photos with all the dishes below. Overall including drinks and tip it will go around 25-40$/person. I also attached the full menu from today, 3rd November 2019. The interior design is simple & cool also with a bit of “Hard Rock” touch. I also love the music and the atmosphere here.. Taco magic! They also have a terrace for when the weather is nice. The servers are super nice & helpful. Overall a place not to be missed if you’re in the area. A+!

Google
Mexican fare with a whimsical decor. The tortilla stove welcomes you at the door and reveals som authenticity. I opted for Vegetarian Enchiladas which tasted fantastic and were surprisingly filling. Service was quick and courteous. Fresh chips and salsa are given before you order. A great experience. Viva la Pink Taco!

Google
This location is inside the Hard Rock Hotel. Very inviting, very trendy, beautiful bar! The food was delicious especially the pink taco, it really was yummy. The salsa was smoky which is not my favorite but the rest of my group enjoyed it. The service was great. No wait to get seated. #LOCALGUIDES #womenwhoguide #letsguide #googleguides

Google
Great food! Tacos and margaritas were delish, along with the retried beans and rice. Al Pastor was fantastic! Great service! Everything was fast and effiicent as well. We visited twice in one week, once on patio and once at the bar. You can’t go wrong.

Google
Started with an amazing bowl of chips and salsa. Order off the happy hour menu while I was here. Ordered the Tostada De Mariscos, Vampiro Chicken Tacos and Grilled Spanish Octopus. Bartender was really friendly and attentive and the food was really good. Worth the trip over

Google
Awesome food, order the pink taco. I also ordered the guacamole and nachos and they were fresh and delicious. The prices for food and drinks are very reasonable! Loved it, we even came back another day for food because it was so good!

Google
Finally doing a review after many, many, many visits to this place. We love pretty much everything on the menu. Especially the bacon wrapped jalapeños and the gigantic burrito challenge. The food, service and drinks are always great. This is especially good if you go to Rehab to party and drink then need food to fill you up. Once your done with lunch or dinner then you MUST try the fried ice cream (possibly best on Earth).

Google
I had 3 tacos and they came out fast. Nothing special about them. I felt like my waiter rushed me even though the place was empty. It was all ok, don't make a special trip from the strip; not worth it

Yelp
Awesome food. Great service. Love the vibe!! Dj was great!!! Went on cinco de mayo so not sure if it was more happening than normal but I was a great way to spend my last few hours in Vegas. Drinks were very strong and food was super tasty. Can't ask for much more!! Don't pass on the chips and salsa!!!

Yelp
The happy hour is phenomenal at Casa Calavera. The restaurant is in the Virgin Hotel complex. Happy hour runs from 3:00-5:00 pm and you must sit at the bar. Select appetizers and beverages are priced around $7. I ordered a cranberry and vodka and my husband had a Tecate beer. The bar and restaurant are upscale and comfortable. The dining room is large and there are additional tables on an outdoor patio. Anthony, our server was great, attentive and made a recommendation for the Pomegranate-Jicama Guacamole, which was unique, refreshing, beautiful and delicious. I loved it We ordered the La Quesadilla, which was ample and delicious. We also shared Avacado and Roasted Corn Toquitos which was artfully plated. The food was great and made a perfect light meal.

Yelp
Casa Calavera is a good overall Mexican restaurant that is located inside the Virgin Hotel. They have some good deals going on for Taco Tuesday. The staff is friendly and professional and Casa Calavera has a cool.overall ambiance with murals painted on the wall. Overall, this was a good choice for a meal.

Yelp
This place is still a 5 star in my books. While visiting Virgin hotel for a show I was starving afterwards & told me friend "we should get something to eat here." He was on board & we took a seat @ the bar. We were greeted right away. I had ordered a margarita & of course I can't remember the name of it, it was suppose to be sweet & spicy. Didn't really taste any spice to it but it was good. We got an order of chips & salsa. Salsa was kinda a brown & red salsa with a little bit of a kick to it. Chips were fresh & tasted good. We got an order of their guacamole which was soooooo yummy! Had a great mixture of flavorings to it and tasted very fresh. We also got their queso as I've had it before & loved it!! So cheesy. We shared all these apps & I also asked if I could get a side order of their mixed veggies that were delicious and full of great flavor. I feel like you can't go wrong here with their food. Definitely worth a try if your craving Mexican food. This place is better then when it was The Pink Taco back in the Hard Rock days!!

Yelp
Came here on a Friday around 1pm and we were seated at the bar. For some reason, the hostess didn't seat us at a normal table because they were all taken. Even though there were about 4 or so tables unoccupied. Anyways, the service was just ok and I think it's due to lack of staff. There were some people protesting outside of the hotel, but I don't think they are part of the restaurant. I didn't think the food was out of this world or the drinks. Our server was also the bartender and he was just there to cover. Plus, they don't give you complimentary chips and salsa. What kind of Mexican restaurant makes you pay for this. That's a strike against them since the chips or salsa wasn't the greatest either. It's one thing if it's really good, but if it's just ok, it should be complimentary. If I was staying here, I might come back if I had the urge for Mexican food. But I will not go out of my way to drive here.

Yelp
I love this place! My husband and I stay at the virgin hotel every time we come to Vegas because they are dog friendly, so the fact that this restaurant is here is the cherry on top! Typically I'm not a huge fan of high-end Mexican restaurants because I grew up with homemade Mexican food, and it is very rare that high-end restaurants Meet my expectations in terms of flavors. But, Casa Calavera definitely does! They do a great job of fusing, authentic flavors with twists and ingredients. I think my favorite dish thus far is the tamal de costilla. The queso fundido is really delicious too! I haven't had too much of an opportunity to taste their cocktails, I did have one of their margaritas. I think it was the hibiscus margarita, and it was really delicious. But other than that, I haven't tasted any other ones. They all look really good though . We've only ever gone for dinner and the ambience is usually pretty vibrant and exciting, I love the music choices! The service is always top-notch, and I have never had any complaints. It is definitely one of my favorite restaurants to go to.

Yelp
Mood: Lunch date with mom Overall I enjoy the Virgin Hotel & casino- not sure why they can a lot of slack or hate but it's a nice spot off strip but close enough still. This restaurant is a good Mexican cuisine place. Far as traditional with flavors & flare it's a yes all the way. The decor is lovely- beautiful colors all through out the space. I love bright colors. Service was A1 - lunch time was pretty slow so we were having no issues at all. Food: Queso Fundido 9/10: very delicious and very tasty as a shared appetizer. Queso is made to order so be patient it's worth the wait. Carna Asada burrito 9/10: good size and quality. The carne was prepared just right along with every bite in flavor. Chicken enchiladas 8/10: nothing actually wrong. Have had better and with more filling. Taste was great- had a little spice to it which made it mesh well as a meal. Great place to catch a meal & vibes.

Tom W.

Yelp
Taco Tuesday is a great deal, highly recommend the portobello mushroom taco. These tacos were better than the beef enchilada by far, so much flavor packed into these little things.

Yelp
Some friends and I did a quick little over night trip for my girlfriends birthday and decided to check out Casa Calavera since they did offer a happy hour. We arrived around 4 and luckily was not very busy. We were about to grab a few seats at the bar (HH is only at the bar area). We quickly ordered some drinks and decided on our menu items. With everything being $7 I decided to try a few of their apps. We split chicken quesadilla, chicken taquitos, Mexican street corn and chipotle bacon guac. Our orders came out fairly quick and they were delicious! I have nothing negative to say about them. The portions were smaller but still very filling. The guac was so flavorful and spicy and loved the big pieces of bacon in it. We also received chips & salsa. For a beverage I opted for the calavera margarita and had it rimmed with tajin.. the perfect topping to a good margarita. I'll def be back! Service was quick and our bartender was very friendly. A solid HH esp for being off the strip.

Yelp
Casa occupies the same space previously occupied by Pink Taco when the Virgin was the Hard Rock. Casa is hands down better than Pink Taco ever was. It's a stylish, upscale place, as one would expect at the Virgin. The food is terrific: - I always get the three taco plate accompanied by rice and refried beans. You get your choice of what are essentially gourmet tacos, and you can mix and match them. I always choose Al Pastor, Carne Asada, and Shrimp. It's a really good plate as it should be for $26.00. She got three shrimp tacos without the rice and beans for $20.00. - The chips and salsa are good and a relative bargain at $3.00. It's full bar, so all of your booze groups are covered. I always get the Calavera Margarita on the rocks with salt on the rim at $17.00. It's made with el Jimador Blanco, lime, and agave. It's definitely a step up from the typical house marg. The service is great every time - friendly and on the ball is the best way to describe it. As you might already have gathered, it's not cheap, but I think it's worth the money. Cheers.

Yelp
Went to a bachelorette party dinner for 15, we were seated soon as our party arrived, service was great and the atmosphere was a vibe. The food was great! I kept it simple and ordered chicken quesadillas. However, the drinks are overpriced, the texture of the frozen margarita's are not smooth and I didn't even have a buzz. Some of the ladies stated that their drinks tasted like there was a chemical in them. Highly suggest the food but would opt out of the $20 drinks.

Yelp
This is my first time here. It is pricey to travel to the Strip ($80+) for a round trip and it takes a half hour. Forget that noise! This large restaurant Is located in the Virgin Hotel (formerly Hard Rock). It is literally across my hotel (Hyatt) on the corner of Paradise and Harmon. This restaurant was formerly Todd English Olives. It is doing well, let me tell you. Today is Taco Tuesday with a selection of $3 and $5 tacos and various discounted liquor. I am attracted to the 50% off selected cocktails, but the only one on the menu is the "Calavera." This is made with El Jimador Blanco tequila, lime, agave and a salt rim (if desired). Yes, I will make it spicy ($2 extra). The drink is ice cold . It tastes great and has a nice kick to it. It's garnished with a lime wheel. I am going to work my way djen the entire list (7 tacos ): For my first taco , I'm having the "Shredded Beef" made with slow-cooked beef barbacos, Heinz 57 Collection, roasted garlic crunch, pickled jalapeños, Chipotle Mayo and fire-roasted red salsa. This is good . It's a small, flat taco but has great taste! For my second taco , I'm trying the "Roasted Chicken" made with achiote chicken, avocado, jicama, carrots , jalapeño, cilantro, chipotle Mayo and salsa verde. This is good ! The fresh jalapeño adds kick to it. For my third taco , I am having the "Pork carnitas" made with braised pork shoulder, avocado , pickled red onion , salsa verde, cilantro and lime. This is good! Very flavorful! The service is quick and accurate. Music id classic Mexican. For my second drink , I'm having a "Paloma." This is the bartender's favorite drink - "I make a mean Paloma." It is made with El Tesoro blanco tequila, grapefruit liqueur, lime, agave, grapefruit soda with taste of "smokiness" (adding madre espadin mezcal). This drink is not on the Happy Hour menu. It is served in a huge, tall, 7" high glass. It's not very strong but does have a nice , smoky flavor. You gotta love the garnish. This drink is grande! BIG!!! Look at the size of that glass!!! Holy F$&! You definitely need a straw for this monster ! It's gotta be 6-7 inches wide and 8" high! I see jalapeños, strawberry and limes in there. Ok. You can taste the alcohol on this bad boy! I hope I make it to my room! For my fourth taco , I'm having the "Portobello & Rajas" made with charred onions , pico de gallo, avocado and salsa verde. This has quite the height! It's quite good and has a little kick to it. For my fifth taco , I'm trying the "Grilled Shrimp " made with adobe marinated shrimp , avocado , Cotija cheese , cabbage slaw, pickled red onion and salsa verde. Very good ! I have had a piece of shrimp in months! This one came with a slice of lime. For my last drink , I'm having the most expensive ($30) made with drink on the menu! It is called a "Caliente (hot) Margarita" made with Patron Silver, watermelon , habanero, lime and agave. Let's see how "hot" this really is! For my sixth taco , I'm having the "Grilled Baja Fish " made with aji Amarillo mahi-mahi, Cojita cheese , cabbage, pico de gallo, chili Mayo and lime. This one also cones with a lime. Very good! They got this down pat! For my seventh taco , I'm having the "Carne Asada" made with adobo marinated steak , Oaxaca cheese, tomatillo salsa, onions and cilantro. This is good! You can't go wrong here! All of the tacos come out real quick! This place is great!!!

Yelp
First of all.... The ambiance and atmosphere of this place is what drove us to eat here. So beautifully decorated. Checked in with the host, there was a 45 min wait for a party of 6. We decided to eat at the bar instead where there was room. The bartender was awesome to talk to. And another bartender surprised us with a tasty whiskey mix shot.... We told him we wanted a shot and we're whisky drinkers. The food was delicious! I ordered Street Corn, Chiles Rellenos, Carne Asada Casa Burrito. Street Corn - Came with 3 short corn cobs on a sticks. Perfectly seasoned with a side of... I believe it was ranch. Chiles Rellenos - Served with tortillas. Gorgeously prepared and it was delicious. Casa Burrito with Carne Asada - Great portion for 2 ppl or 1 if you're hungry. Tasted yummy as well. This is, by far, the best Mexican food / restaurant I've been to. I will definitely return and bring my friends and family to.

Yelp
We had reservations at CC and were settled within a few minutes; however, the service was slow but the servers were pleasant. Several of us were not offered a drink during our entire dinner! We ordered a large number of appetizers that were very tasty. Note: if you order the queso ask for a spoon and stir since there are goodies on the bottom. The fish tacos had large pieces of fish with a light fried batter that was very good. My negatives were: 1) the service was slow and there was a lack of attention to detail (e.g., the menus were huge and we had to wave the servers down to take them. 3) no one took our drink orders), 4) we were seated at a high table, and 3) the music was SO loud that we could barely hear the people sitting close to us. I might try them again since it could have been an off night.

Yelp
*** This review is for the Restaurant Week 2023 Menu *** I was going to UNLV after dinner so I looked for a Restaurant Week place near the university. I had eaten at Pink Taco when this was Planet Hollywood, and I decided to give Casa Calavera a try. This is definitely a place where you come to enjoy the art and then stay for the food. While the former restaurant had some Dia de los Muertos decorartions, Casa Calavera has taken it many steps further. The murals in the hallway, the bench for photos near the entrance, and the interior show that they have gone all in on the Dia de los Muertos theme and it works. Given a choice of eating inside or out, I chose inside and was shown to a 4 top. They were not busy at the time, so this wasn't making people wait for a table. My server, Morgan, soon was at the table with water and asked about anything else to drink. She brought me iced tea and some sweetener and then asked if I had any questions. I had decided to order from the RW menu. I started with the mango guacamole. This was followed by a tamal de Costilla, and finally tres leche cake. I was brought a container of chips and some salsa. Just before the guacamole arrived, a server came with another basket of chips for the mango guacamole. The menu describes the guacamole as having mango pico, queso fresco, pepitas, and Heinz 57 Collection hot chili infused honey. As with the regular salsa, this was missing some zing to it. There was no hot chili taste. The mango pico was a nice additon, but other than the mango, it was regular guacamole. I did eat a good portion of the guacamole with my fork. I didn't want to fill up on chips. I'd already had several chips with the normal salsa. The tamal de Costilla is described as banana leaf steamed tamal, braised short ribs, escabeche, sour cream, and queso fresco. The masa of the tamal was good. I wish the short ribs had more spice--not just hot spice but regular spices to give it more flavor. It was just OK. There was no choice for dessert and that was fine. The tres leches cake was excellent. A server poured vanilla crème Anglaise over the cake at the table and he left the small pitcher with extra crème which I later used. The cake was very good. It was a great end to this meal. Service was top notch with Morgan. She stopped by several times to see if I needed anything. The restaurant was a bit loud--you know those millennials especially after drinking at the pool. While I enjoyed my meal, for me, it's not worth the drive to the Virgin Hotel to eat here when there are many good Mexican restaurants in the neighborhood. But, you may want to come here for the art and stay for some food.

Ray N.

Yelp
Came here on a work trip. Staying at Virgin. The yuca fries are bomb here, house made dip. The salsa is spicy and delicious. I also had the white sangria. Entree was the chicken quesadilla. Not sure why they put three dots of guacamole and zigzag some sour cream then sprinkled black beans all over my plate, weird presentation. The quesadilla was good, needed more chicken.

Ryan A.

Yelp
We came here to eat on Father' Day before heading off to the airport to catch our flight home. We were greeted quickly and had a good experience here. You can order tacos with choosing different types of meat choices, also some different guacs too. We got 2 shrimp tacos, & 1 carnitas taco, flavor and meats on both were excellent. We also got a short rib eggs benny that was good. The bartender checked in us many times to see how we were doing. Highly recommend this place to grab a bite.

Karen M.

Yelp
I searched for the best Mexican restaurant in Las Vegas and lucky for us it was in our hotel! Sitting inside the Virgin Hotel and it did not disappoint. We were seated promptly. But who wants to sit down!?? The restaurant is gorgeous! They did not miss a single little detail throughout! It's elegant and reminiscent of old times and Mexican traditions! With attention to our beautiful Mexican heritage. They totally NAILED IT! Now on to the food. That's what we came for right?! It's good. Holy mole! Got the traditional chips and I asked for a side of guac! Amazing. Our food came with a decent wait time and everything was so savory and good. Our server was super sweet and chattered up with us. On our next visit we are staying at the virgin again because we loved it here and make a bonus visit to this restaurant ofc

Natalie A.

Yelp
We were a party of 6 (5 adults one child) first time here: Food was great, services was wonderful, prices for proration was spot on! Such large portions very very worth the money. The lady who served us, she was a pretty girl with plugs in her ears (I used to have the same) her service was wonderful she's very respectful always checked on us, made sure our drinks were filled and always had a smile, she didn't seem annoyed it seemed like she enjoys her job and I appreciate her hospitality! Thank you casa calavera, we'll be back The only con: for a party if six the table was not big enough

Terri H.

Yelp
While staying at Virgin hotel this place was a must for Taco Tuesday. The specialty menu had tacos for $3 or $5 depending on which you ordered. I decided on the Carne Asada taco for $5 and the Roasted Chicken taco for $3 from the special Taco Tuesday menu which is available from 3 to 5pm. They were spicy and delicious. I love Mexican street corn but it was 3 small cobs which seemed like a lot. I ordered it and twisted my husband's arm to help me eat them. They were so great. The ambience was very festive. We sat at a very comfortable U shaped table. Service was amazing and our server was so friendly.

Monique L.

Yelp
Food was okay. Not bad and not GREAT drink was yummy Service was Awesome Ambiance was cute Skulls etc are my thing

Tony M.

Yelp
Came here for Father's Day with my family for brunch. Vibes were on point a lot of light and windows in the space. We started with the queso fundido, I didn't like it personally. It was more of a midwestern/Denver style. The chips and salsa were a great start. We also got beers, and Paloma's that were well made drinks. The short rib Benedict's were very tasty, instead of a muffin they used a pupusa. Slightly underwhelmed by the serving and size of the pupusa relative to the other dishes. The tamale was my favorite by far. The Casa Chilaquiles - v were great as well. To finish the meal we had the tres leche cake. Great flavors but a modern twist on the traditional version. Our waitress was attentive and speedy given we had a big table. We had great service. Definitely would come again and try dinner.

Melissa D.

Yelp
My family and I stayed at The Virgin Hotel and had lunch at Casa Calavera downstairs. I really enjoyed their vegan taquitoes and mixta salad. The salad was fresh and the Avocado & Roasted Corn taquitoes had great flavor. I would definitely order again. The salad was huge, so I would recommend ordering the salad to share. This place is very casual, nothing fancy but very chill. Our server was also very kind and attentive. I would definitely recommend this place if you want a quick bit to eat.

Ana C.

Yelp
I gave it three stars because I wasn't impressed with their food. I am always looking for authentic flavors and to me it was your average Mexican place/. Bland, no authenticity. The drinks were average as well. The salsa more the chips needs more picante:. I'm Willing to give it another try. So far LA POPULAR restaurant inside the Palms is my go to place for amazing Mexican food. I did like the decor. It was very Mexican..

Barbara D.

Yelp
We came here around 11AM wanting to eat breakfast with a group of 4. We sat down and got service right away. Ordered coffee- they were out of half and half. Hmm... interesting they don't have that ingredient. We received chips and salsa and the salsa was good. We then ordered pancakes and since I like to eat my pancakes with whip cream vs. syrup, I ordered whip cream. -They were out of that, too... Mind you, this place had barely anybody dining. There were 2 other groups of people at their tables. We waited for an HOUR and no updates and no food. You can't do that when people are vacationing. Time is precious and we had to leave since we were running late waiting for over an hour. We left money on the table for our coffee and left. We will not be coming here again.

Mark R.

Yelp
Food was great. The inside of this place was great. Price was great and service was outstanding. Off the strip so much cheaper and a better experience

Kahlia B.

Yelp
Anytime I come into Casa it's always amazing . From getting greeted from the host to being sat at my table and the amazing service . I love the music and the vibe and atmosphere. Feels like whole party ! Thank you for always being the best . I'll be back ! And as always the food is delicious. Tell the chefs keep doing whatever it is they do . Cause it's working !!!

Lauren C.

Yelp
Casa Calavera is a lively spot inside of Virgin to grab good Mexican food. It has been awhile since my visit, but we all enjoyed it. Some friends and I enjoyed Boozy Tea at The Shag Room and were looking for some Mexican food to soak up the alcohol. I suggested this spot and who isn't in for Mexican food? We ordered several appetizers to share. The entrance to the restaurant is pretty with flower walls and cute spots to take some photos. The restaurant was lively and a fun place to hang out for a bit. The Chips & Salsa were good. The salsa had a good flavor. The huge Guacamole was also delicious with some salsa swirled in. The Chicken Taquitos were crispy, tasty, and not greasy. The surprising favorite was the Ahi Tuna Tostada. The ahi was delicious and the dish had all kinds of tasty sauces and toppings that worked well with the ahi. Writing this review has reminded me that I need to return for a full meal!

Winnie L.

Yelp
Service was outstanding. Ambiance was comfortable and good vibe. Food was amazing and served fresh and quick

Leanne C.

Yelp
Had dinner here Saturday before a concert. The restaurant is so cute. Service was okay. I started with the Jugosa (casa mug is blanco, watermelon , Leon and agave nectar) tasted like watermelon juice, next time I'll ask for a double. The chips and salsa are so good here we ate two baskets. We also had the bacon wrapped jalapeños, it was okay. I ordered the 3 taco trio; portobello and Rojas, Al pastor & carne asada- best taco was the Al pastor. My taco trio came with rice and beans, they were just okay. I also ordered the Yuca fries, this was so delicious!! I would go back to this restaurant for the Yuca fries.

Jean Z.

Yelp
This place ...... SO BAD! Service very slow guy w a mask can't even hear what he wants to say. Such a small menu should be easy to be good It's not One margarita in 57 minutes Took 42 minutes to get our "sides" for dinner So so so bad! Never will I ever And how much was it? Holy mackerel ? No one even asked us how it was. Im parched and we r still hungry and now mad. ***sidenote the original bartender was nice and polite and thanked us for BEING LOCAL COMING TO A STRIP(kinda) HOTEL! Boooooo hissss boooooo

Louie A.

Yelp
Let me start with atmosphere was cool and server was great as for food it's just another fake tasting Mexican joint. The food was bland same goes for the salsa it was just whatever and the guacamole seemed like it came pre packaged and just scooped into a bowl. Would i eat her again no but everyone has different taste.

Josiah H.

Yelp
We were in town for Jiu Jitsu Con and stayed at the Virgin Hotel. Since we wanted to get an early morning start, we stayed in for dinner and decided to try Casa Calavera since we'd never been. We called down from our room for a reservation just in case, but the hostess said there was no wait. So after coming down from our room we were seated in about 5-10 minutes after check-in. Once seated we were promptly greeted and given our menus which we quickly looked over. My son and I both decided to get tacos which were good, and for dessert he got the ice cream and berries. While I chose a flan with berries instead. The berries in my son ice cream unfortunately we're still frozen so he didn't finish them, and the chocolate sugar skull that adorned his ice. It was so hard it probably could've chipped a tooth if he tried biting through it. So he was a little bummed and left the berries and the chocolate sugar skull on his plate. My flan was good; nice and simple which is what I expected. OVERALL: Wait: (4-stars) Staff: 5-stars Food: 5-stars Dessert: 3-Stars; Flan (4) Ice cream (3) Overall experience: (4-stars)

Tim L.

Yelp
First time visit AND definitely not the last!! Casa lives up to the hype while their service is second to none. Great atmosphere and next-level flavors. A must try :)

Justine B.

Yelp
Came for Taco Tuesday for happy hour. Jennifer was our server - she was an absolute delight, amazing energy and often came to check on us. She deserves a raise! :) Tacos are good, my fav was the $3 beef tacos. 4/5 Hands down the best dish was the TRES LECHES CAKE (holy shit). Every time we come back to Vegas we will come back just for this. Prob my husband and I's fav dessert ever. Overall great experience & highly recommend.

Karla A.

Yelp
We stayed at the Virgin hotel for a couple of nights. We had brunch the first day and it was so good that we decided to come back for dinner the next day and the place did not disappoint. The food is super yummy! Drinks were also delicious, and to top the experience the prices were fair for Vegas. Highly recommended.

Britanee S.

Yelp
Food here was super yummy . I had the steak meal medium and Omg it was so flavorful. The staff here was kind and accommodating. It was easy to walk in and be seated . Nice decor , located inside the virgin motel . Inside seating and outside is available. We sat inside and started with chips and salsa . Margaritas for the tables super yummy . Pricing ranges 20-50 depending on the item which was reasonable .

Yelp
First off, let's give John some love. As our server, he was attentive/helpful and approachable. He genuinely wanted us to have a great lunch, all eight of us were happy. I ordered the three taco combo opting for Fish/Carne Asada & Carnitas, along with some incredible beans & rice. I normally skip the "fillers" but the beans were super flavorful. The tacos were also very good and the chips & salsa got the party started. We had an uneventful meal elsewhere, wishing we would have doubled up here. We would have saved the cost of UBER and right in our own hotel. Be forewarned though, all cocktails in Las Vegas are now approaching the $20 level. What will it be in ten years? We would absolutely return.

Yelp
Arrived at 10 pm Saturday night to have dinner hostess refused to seat us and there were tons of empty tables and I asked why your hours were until 11 pm and she admitted kitchen was "extremely backed up" clearly they had inadequate staffing and poor management!

Yelp
The service, the ambiance, the chips and salsa and the food and drinks are all excellent here. Loved it. My second time eating here and both times were great.

Yelp
My sister and her business partners went here for brunch when they were visiting Vegas. Their decor is so gorgeous--definitely influencer worthy of pictures! They give that on-the-strip vibes without being overly priced. Food and drinks were great as well. They had a mariachi band playing live and serenading each table on the day that we went. The lady that brought us our food was so friendly and answered all our questions no matter how dumb it was. Definitely would recommend for tourist to check this out. NOT TOO FAR FROM THE STRIP.

Yelp
Ok so we came here because we wanted Mexican food and it was our hotel Virgin. Now upon arrival we spoke to the host "Olivia" which we advised it was a party of 9. She then stated that the bill could be split up to 3 ways only. We were sat within 15 mins (that was a plus) It didn't seem very busy for a Saturday which was good. Now we placed our orders for beverages which came in a normal time frame. The waitress returned went around the group and got our food orders. Our food came it was very appealing and tasty. However, the portions are below average in comparison to other restaurants alike. I ordered 3 shrimp tacos it consisted of red onion and well seasoned shrimp with a street taco tortilla for the price of $20. Not worth it! ( I see why so many folks have complained about the prices ( due to small portions) I also ordered a lemon drop double Tito's shot for 26 bucks ( average price about $24) the chips were fresh, the salsa wasn't that great. I also ordered hot sauce and I wasn't informed it would be $3 dollars because I didn't know the waitress heard me and it also came late. For the ending- Olivia approached the table stating That only one card could be taken. We asked for the manager and she stated she was the manager. We stated that SHE had mentioned the 3 cards upon arrival. She then stated she did not say that... ( we were all there when this was mentioned). She stated she could take cash as an alternative. (Most folks use cards now in days) she was not empathetic at all and instead proceeded with an attitude and said that they "don't have to split the checks at all" that is privilege. All this to say that the food had good taste, small portions and dishonest employees.

Yelp
Ambiance - great Service - not bad Food - presentation was nice but it was completely overpriced and lacked flavor all around. I'm not the person to send anything back but the ceviche had to go. I feel like The Virgin hotel had so much potential but I have yet to experience anything there that has wowed me.

Yelp
First of all, for everyone that complained about the prices, you're in Vegas...expect everything to be 2 to 3 times the normal price. I paid $6 for a chapstick for goodness sake. Second, this is a restaurant in a Vegas hotel, nowhere did it claim to be an authentic Mexican restaurant. The website clearly says "it's a Día del Los Muertos-inspired restaurant and cantina....a culinary and cantina concept...combining traditional Mexican cuisine...with a twist of energetic ambiance." If we were looking for authentic cuisine, we would look off the strip or go downtown. Now that your expectations are managed, on to the food and drinks... The chips and salsa were brought to the table right away and our server Chris was right behind to welcome us and take our drink order. He also provided some recommendations for hubby's meal. The chips were crispy, warm, and had just the right amount of salt. Hubby said the salsa had a bit of smoky flavor to it and he enjoyed it (I don't do spice so I skipped it). Hubby ordered the Sunset Margarita and the beef enchiladas with green sauce. The Margarita is delicious and crisp. He ventured off the usual path of the traditional margaritas and enjoyed the flavor combo (especially the guava). He was really impressed with the beef enchiladas. They were well seasoned and cooked well, the tortilla was delicious, and the green sauce was almost like a mole and the sour cream more like a crema which was really nice. I ordered the passion fruit mojito but asked for a white rum instead of the eclipse (me and dark rum don't mix). It was freaking delicious! Perfect blend of all the ingredients where nothing overpowered the taste. The perfect hot weather cocktail! I ordered the mixta salad and a side of yuca fries. The fries hit the spot (I don't find many places that make it). The were crispy outside with the chewy fibrous center. The salad was a huge portion and flavorful (thank goodness they used mixed greens and not just romaine). I wish there were more fixings in it, but I was grateful for all the greens to load up on some veggies. Service was fantastic, and I loved the music and vibe of the space.

Yelp
It was my daughter's 40th Birthday. She came into town from Florida. I tried the Grilled Baja Fish! It was great! Everyone was wishing her a Happy Birthday. It meant so much to us. Their kindness along with all the other guest wishing her a Happy Birthday! Then to our surprise they brought her out a Birthday Treat "Salted Caramel Churros" with chocolate sauce, salted caramel sauce, strawberry sauce! She loved it. Thank you Casa Calavera and your staff for helping to make my daughter's birthday a great milestone.

Yelp
A fun, vibrant Mexican cuisine spot inside the Virgin Hotel. This has to be on the top of the list for any pre-party nightlife! They have a live band! We came for brunch on my birthday and ordered the pancake stacks, eggs benedict, and avocado bacon with chips. All were good, just don't expect much for fluffy pancakes. Ordered a margarita, yum! The staff was so nice and attentive; our server was sweet enough to take photos of me for the gram lol. Vibe 10/10 recommend. Drinks 10/10 recommend.

Yelp
This palce has good food can't lie , but very bad customer service coming from the manager Jolie today 4-6-24 my family party of 6 yet idk where she got that we were a partie of 8, I had a bad experience here we requested not to be seated in the barstool due to a resent surgury they refused! then after so many times we insisted finally we got moved to a booth that was to crowed when there were so many empty tables our reservation was at 10:15 pm, at 11:14 0ur food came out so practically our food order was taken when it was the last call! and at 11:45, the bus boys took food off the table even when we were not yet finished .. mind you, we came to celebrate a b-day. The parties who came after us 3 parties with no reservations were served before us. This was upseting yet not as upsetting as not being able to accommodate as handicapped person. Seating was an issue .. this is a bad experience .. so upsetting coming from LA to LV hippied to have a good time, and this happens it's so overwhelming and shameful.. over all bad bad experience...
