Doral Gets a Live Entertainment Focused Gastropub— and More Openings - Eater Miami

"A soul food restaurant has set up shop on South Beach. Called Pink Teacup Villa (1524 Washington Avenue), it features cuisine by chef Lawrence Page from docu-series “Hustle and Soul.” On the menu are dishes like five-cheese macaroni and cheese, buttermilk fried chicken with a sweet potato waffle, fried pork chops, and pineapple cornbread." - Olee Fowler

This place was a different experience. I didn't know what to expect, I was there with family and a few of them knew of this location from reality tv. I looked up the menu and liked what I saw but still was not prepared. The food was really good and I appreciated the twist of flavors you don't typically see together. The waitresses were dressed in bootie shorts that would put Hooters girls to shame and some had tops that left nothing to the imagination. This didn't really bother me. The issue I had was the music was soooooo loud that it made it hard to communicate with everyone in our party that I didn't enjoy the people I was with as much as I would have liked (it was 10 of us at a long table). I couldn't talk to half of the table just the 2-3 people closest to me. Would i go back yes but with a smaller group.

Let me start by saying the food was good however I would not recommend going for the brunch if you are trying to experience Chef Lawrence's cooking. We watch Hustle and Soul religiously so we wanted to see if his cooking was as good as he says. The chicken and waffles from the brunch buffet was nothing to write home about BUT the chicken was seasoned very well and the mac and cheese was good. Very cheesy but some people like that so it was good. The pasta had great flavor but I think the noodles could have stayed just a little longer. Overall it was good and the mimosas were unlimited and they kept refilling so that was good. Ana and chef Lawrence were both there and honestly seemed like they only wanted to be bothered with people that were buying shots.

The appeal is their Reality TV Show and they make great TV personalities. Chef Lawrence is talented and his food is delicious. He was humble enough to meet and speak to anyone who asked which was nice but that's where the appeal ended. You can tell they cut corners with the decor and the service isn't very good. No one is really smiling or very attentive to their tables. I never received plates to eat my food on and my order was taken twice with no communication between employees. Working in the restaurant business I know for a fact they hired the wrong people to work there because there's no real "teamwork". Hopefully it's just a growing pang for a new restaurant and they improve their morale and overall vibe in there. Needs to be a lot more welcoming and $14 for four chicken wings is just ridiculous.

Food was delicious. Service was good. I saw Thandie and Chef Lawrence in the building smiling and taking pictures with fans. We went for brunch on Saturday which was $45 plus tax, they automatically add gratuity additional $9. A tad bit overpriced, but overall a great experience! The ambience was amazing and music was definitely jumping Miami style.

. Me and my girlfriends came here for the Sunday brunch we heard so much about. They charge $48 per person that includes unlimited brunch buffet and unlimited mimosas. Cool no problem however the food is HORRIBLE! The eggs are power eggs and chunky. The food was all cold and poorly cooked and seasoned. Not to mention the music is ridiculously loud and Very “Ratchet” the waitresses wear fishnet clothing and thongs . I will not be coming back and I wouldn’t advise anyone to come here and waste your time or money . We spent $200 on non fresh food

If I could give it less than one star I would. $50.95 for nasty dry food and water down mimosas. They automatically included a tip of $10 one every one check, for no service. It felt like the a/c didn't work so we ended up outside with a fan. Over rated because it's been on TV and definitely over priced. Will NEVER recommend this place or go back.

Genuinely enjoying my time here! Hookah is nice and smooth and tasty for only $15!!! I also have a hurricane that is quite strong and delicious. The owner invited us in and was so friendly. The service is fast and soooo nice for South Beach! I would totally come here again. Apparently they throw day parties on the weekend that are love! Thank you all for a wonderful end to my spring break!
