"Though Pink’s has seven locations, the UH location, which opened in 2014, is significant in that its the first location to offer a full-service bar and a welcoming environment for students to grab an inexpensive meal and a locally-brewed beer with the option of enjoying a study break in the on-site library lounge. The specialty pizzas, including the Big Boss — a meat lover’s-style pizza with pepperoni, Italian sausage, beef, and bacon and Canadian bacon — and the Bada Bing, which is topped with prosciutto, bacon, pepperoni, mozzarella, Roma tomato, spinach, and mushroom, are a major draw." - Minh Truong, Brittany Britto Garley

Nice pizzeria located on Calhoun street at U of H. The atmosphere is lively and vibrant. There are Christmas lights hanging above the bar. There are banners, flags, and jerseys decorating the walls of the local sports teams. There are close to a dozen large flat screen t.v’s. Pizza is good. The dough is soft and doughy. They load the pizza with cheese. They aren’t stingy in the toppings at all. They offer full pies or you can order by the slice. The individual slice is BIG. It’s actually called The Big Slice. I found it to be plenty filling. Tried the Southwestern specialty pizza for my big slice. The toppings include Cheddar & Mozzarella Cheese, BBQ Rosemary Chicken Breast, Red Onion & Jalapeno Peppers. It was good, but I would have preferred more BBQ sauce. Aside from that, it’s a keeper. Service is pretty quick. Prices are fair. Place your order at the bar, take a table number, pick a seat, and indulge in a pizza at Cougarville.

Pinks is honestly great. Their pizza is always on point and their happy hours are a great deal that are different each night. Everyone who works here is really nice and it's one of the few place on campus open at night.

If you’re a fan of Houston Brews, Pinks is the place to go! They have a ton of Karbach and St Arnold and 8th wonder on tap. The pizza was delicious and the vibe was nice.

Real crazy quality control. Sometimes it is really good and the Big Slice is great. But sometimes it looks like the picture I attached. They have good drink specials throughout the week.

SET ASIDE EVERYTHING ELSE, it was around the summer Pink's Pizza has made one major change - thickness of the pizza (or amount of the dough it uses). Prior to the summer, the thickness was reasonable. However, sometime in June or July, a regularly ordered pizza became a thin crust pizza. One of the reasons my family and I really liked it was because of its chewiness (plus, each slice did not fall apart because it used to be reasonably thick to hold toppings). We tried 16" whole pizza twice after the change (to make sure if it really has changed) and, the price being another factor, decided not to order from Pink's Pizza anymore. IT IS STILL NOT A BAD PIZZA but it no longer appeals to us in its current form.

Unfortunately, pinks pizza at UH has gone severely downhill over time. Pizza quality has notably dropped since I had first gone, management seems to care less for customers, ridiculously long wait times for a single slice of pizza (30+ minutes), and a consistently unclean environment. Honestly, you could get better pizza and more bang from your buck by going to even a pizza chain like Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, etc. I strongly advise against going unless you're blinded by nostalgia, have absolutely no other option to dine at, or simply enjoy cardboard pizza with a pinch of sauce and the stingiest amount of cheese you'll ever see in your life.
