We had a company holiday party here and it was a great experience thanks to Tracy. She was very welcoming, good energy and kept the environment fun. I have taken a few painting classes in the past but this is by far my favorite. Tracy was very engaging, attentive and just an overall blast to spend time with. I highly recommend this location to anyone who wants something fun to do.

Google
OMG !!! We had the best time ever. The instructors were so engaging and fun. Loved the drawing. It was a great experience!!

Google
Loved coming here. The atmosphere was great, the instructor was very patient and positive throughout the lessons. The artist instructor would walk around stating positive comments and was very helpful. I didn’t come with the intentions of doing something perfect, but to have some fun by myself and I genuinely had a great time. Oh I forgot to mention that the music that the instructor had was awesome, he played oldies and newer songs. People sang, were laughing, drinking, and having a great time. Will be back, but I wish the had discounts.😭 If that were the case, I would definitely be there more often.

Google
Had our company Christmas party here with Tracy. 10/10 she’s so talented, friendly, and accommodating! Jeff is also a lot of fun especially when doing flower paintings. Pretty much, come here, paint, and be merry!

Celina C.

Google
What an awesome experience and we WILL be back! 3 of us who have never been did a class Saturday night. The experience didn't disappoint. Michael the instructor, was thorough and patient, and all the other staff were great as well!!

Charissa M.

Google
Such an amazing experience! Im not paint savvy, but Tracy made everything so fun and easy! Will definitely be back!

Google
I love coming here. stress buster, unique and a whole lot of fun. the instructors are great, they make painting fun and easy. Pair all this fun with a glass of wine and you are in for a treat. definitely recommend

Google
Love this place! I just did my second class and it was so much fun. Did a bday party and all sang happy bday. Drinks are good and you can order food from restaurant next door.

Yelp
Loved our paint date night! The host was super funny, definitely gave us some great laughs. I wish there was some extra food, other than chips, or small appetizers to eat as we painted. I also wish there were more non-alcohol drinks. It was still a great event :) our paintings were well timed and turned out well!
google avatar

Yelp
So much fun! Davi was a great teacher and everyone was so nice and fun. Paint and sip nothing better on a Friday night!

Brandy R.

Yelp
Went here on a friend date a few months back and this event venue and business are great. Ample parking. Nice atmosphere. You could get lost if you're not familiar with the area. The paint and sip event was fun. I took home my painting and even purchased a painting. I believe there's this thing customers do where they drink each time a plane flies over the area. Also the area has lots to do. After this outing, we went to that Italian restaurant next door and had dinner.

Yelp
Coming here around the holiday season is now an annual group activity for me and my group of friends. Came on 12/15/24 and had the best time, again! Having alcohol apart of the process is definitely a must. Especially since there are airplanes that fly over the building so often, tradition at Pinot's is to take a sip each time... trust me, it is like 10 times minimum! The classes are easy to follow and allows yourself to really let loose and show your artistic side. It is nice to see those who are so calm and really focused in their art. On the other hand, you may feel like my group of friends and internally stressed and super competitive amongst one another trying to have the nicest painting lol. We have never encountered a class where there was anything negative about the environment. You can see how everyone has some different form of variation, some high and lows in each individual painting. However, overall, such a fun experience that everyone should try. The classes are small with approximately 20 or so people per class. There are some coupons available for groups, so please take advantage so you can save some money and put it towards alcohol! Friendly tips are to wear clothes and shoes with the intention of possibly getting some paint on that you do not care as much for. Make sure you bring your ID; you will be carded. There is no bathroom inside Pinot's, however there is a code required bathroom located right outside the hall that is communal with the other businesses. Utilizing the website is KEY. You can preview which painting will be taught, with the various classes and times available. Have yet to experience the black light class which is in a dark room with neon paint -- exciting! See you next year Pinot's!

Yelp
I have recently became sober, so I'm trying to find activities and hobbies that don't involve drinking. What's great about the Paint & Sip, is there's non alcoholic options! We did the couples painting on May 3rd and it was so fun and interactive with everyone, including the teacher. Will definitely be back to do more painting classes, I love it here!

Yelp
I absolutely love going to Pinot's Palette! The vibes are always amazing, and it's such a fun, relaxing experience every single time. I never really enjoyed painting until I started coming here, but the instructors completely changed that for me. They're so encouraging, patient, and respectful--no matter what your painting looks like, they make you feel proud of it. It's the perfect mix of creativity, good energy, and great people!

Yelp
Great experience for a team building activity in San Diego. Everyone enjoyed this event and it was a hit throughout. Drink prices are reasonable and you can bring your own food / snacks if you'd like. Reasonably priced and great atmosphere. We booked a private event and it was phenomenal!

Yelp
This was like the 10th time we've been here. It had been a while and wanted something fun to do for our anniversary. The staff is always friendly and helps when people get stuck on painting. They make sure the music that is played was appropriate for all. Had a glass of wine...and enjoyed my painting experience.

Yelp
I had not been back to Pinot's Palette in several years. The last time I went was during the surge of the Wine and Paint nights, and there were so many to pick from all over town. Now, there are way fewer, so I'm grateful for a place like Pinot's Pallette that has paint nights almost every day of the week. My friend and I took another friend who had never been to a paint night out for her birthday. It was her first ever time at a wine and paint night and Pinot's Palette was a great place to do it. I like that they reserve seats to ensure that all members of a party are seated together. They have a small wine and drink bar with several varieties of red and white wine to choose from. My friend had wanted to bring a nice bottle and pay a corkage, but we weren't allowed, which is understandable as they would't make money in the bar. I did see them give a pregnant woman a bit of a hard time brining her own non-alcoholic drink, though ultimately they did let her bring it in. I thought the art teacher was very good. She had a positive, bubbly personality and was very easy to understand. I am not an artist at all, but my painting looked pretty good in the end. The assistant was also great, as I saw her walking around to help latecomers catch up. They sell paintings that were used as samples for pervious classes at very low prices. I bought a large painting that I'm excited to have hanging over my wine bar at home. I think a couple of thing that may have made it a more positive experience would be if they provided some snacks or a quick delivery from the nearby restaurants. My friends were hungry due to coming directly from work, and they missed a bit of the lesson to go order appetizers from Solare. Also, I wished they had a hand-washing station in the studio. The bathroom was down the hall with a combination lock. I chose to grab my things and wash my hands on the way out. In the process I got paint on my bag, my phone, and my key. I could have decided to wash my hands earlier, but with this setup, it was just a bit challenging. All in all, this was a very positive experience. I like how they put up the calendar of various paintings in advance so you can plan to go for the painting you like. I would definitely go back.

Yelp
A coworker recommended this place and a few of us decided to check it out! It was so much fun! We did the black light class and painted a Joshua tree in front of a moon. I do wish they turned the lights on more often so I could see what I was blending but overall it was a great experience. Many of the people who attended were beginners and the instructor provided really simple instructions. Fun note: Since it's located under a flight path you'll often hear planes passing by. CHEERS!

Yelp
I had the best time at Pinot's Palette earlier this month. My husband booked us both Wine and Paint sessions for my birthday and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I am not an artist, not even remotely creative so I was excited to challenge myself. The instructors are so good here, they made me paint. If I can do it anyone can. We got in a few minutes early and picked up some wine. The class had two instructors, one central person who painted along with us and another one shadowing her to help us with individual questions. They kept up with the class seamlessly, came around to everyone multiple times, and helped refill our paint, water, and whatnot. They had little cubbies to store our stuff as well. The class was around 15 people so no one felt left out I think. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and I'd definitely go back now that they've made an artist out of me :D

Yelp
Awesome place and a fabulous time for all experience levels. Highly recommend for everyone, even if you haven't ever painted before.

Yelp
We celebrated a birthday here and didn't have enough people for the 12-person minimum private session so we all signed up for the public session. Beforehand I emailed for more information about booking large parties and they let me know that the timer on the booking page starts when there are 10 seats remaining. So as long as the the little timer flag with the seats isn't showing on the events page, you know there are at least more than 10 seats left. As for the session itself, I am by no means artistically inclined but even I was able to create a pretty decent painting by the end. The instructor explained every step of the process and interacted with the class by telling jokes and telling stories. Several people in our party also stayed after the session was over just to hang out and drink at the bar. Even if you don't think you're any good at art, I would recommend trying this at least once just for the experience.

Yelp
What a great place! My husband, friends, and I went for a fun night out. We had a lot of fun and painted our masterpieces. Wine was available to buy. The gentleman instructing us how to paint the design was funny, energetic, and easy to follow. I will go again.

Yelp
I love it here. I am very much not a painter, at all, but every time I come, I have an absolute blast. The instructors are so nice and helpful and go out of their way to make sure everyone is having a good time. The vibes are also immaculate - fun atmosphere for sure and they have a bar so that you can get a drink while you paint. There hasn't been a single class that I haven't loved and the black light classes are extra fun. They are very accommodating here and I try to bring my friends whenever possible. It's fun here if you're a total beginner or like actual Picasso lol

Yelp
I had such a great time here. I hosted my birthday party for a group of 30 it was very seamless and cost efficient. I would highly do this again. The drinks are sold separately but that's not a problem at all just a FYI. It's such a nice intimate two hour experience that I would really encourage for small or large gatherings. Parking was easy and they have restrooms nearby. I believe there is also a connecting kitchen that you can purchase food if you're hungry. Thank you for allowing me to celebrate my birthday here and welcoming my large group. Thanks to the host Josh for his support.

Yelp
Great spot to take family members or for date night. The artists are pretty good and helpful. They have a bar that serves wine and beer, nice touch! You can also leave your art there for them to reuse so you don't go home and waste them It's located in liberty station, an amazing area to walk around before or after your painting. I didn't attend the black light class but saw it during our session. Will definitely be back to check that out!
google avatar

Alexandria H.

Yelp
We went to Pinot's Palette in Liberty Station for a date night and had a great time. The staff was super helpful and encouraging since painting experience is not required. They have a bar and snack menu for you to order from. And you can order pizza for takeout from Solare Restaurante through the bartender. I recommend arriving early because they start on time, and parking at Liberty Station can be tough. Can't wait to go paint again!

Yelp
Wonderful outdoor painting and sip class. The instructor was very helpful and her guidance made painting process seem less intimidating. there was an additional instructor walking around and helping anyone with questions. It was a nice guide but also gave you the freedom to make the painting unique and your own.The bar had a good selection of drinks, my friends and I bought a bottle and split it.

Yelp
So much fun! I was invited to an outdoor painting event by family at this location. We paid around 39 each for the 5 of us and joined 2 other groups of 2. The parking situation may vary around the time of day. Our class started around 3:30 and most of us showed up around 3 so we found plenty of street parking. There are also a few parking lots nearby that had spots available as well. Each class has a designated painting that the instructor will re-create step-by-step in front of everyone as well as instruct how to mix the given paint colors and apply different techniques. Our instructor was awesome! He was very easy to follow and he regularly made sure to walk around the group every so often to see how everyone was doing individually. If anyone was confused or got stuck, he would come over and help them out. Our instructor also made it clear that even though this was technically a class, we were free to do as we please creatively with our painting. So if you want to make a few changes from the original, you are encouraged to do so. The key point is to have FUN, socialize, drink (if you choose so), and enjoy yourself. There is absolutely no pressure and it is a very casual atmosphere. That being said they do have the option of being inside or outside. Our group chose outside which was nice but had a few things that stood out that was at no fault of the studio: 1. The location is at Liberty Station which is right next to the airport. You will hear planes taking off and landing almost every 5 minutes and it is loud enough you won't be able to hear most people talking while it is happening. 2. We may or may have not been visited by those ankle-biting mosquitos during our paint experience. For inside experiences, I can't really give my advice, but it is clear in their terms that no one below the age of 21 is allowed to be in their indoor paint class due to State Law & their bar is at the same location. I know this location also offers a "black light painting" experience which we are looking forward to try soon!

Yelp
Came here for a date and had so much fun! Instructor was a delight to be around and the concept of paint and sip is so enjoyable. I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
The atmosphere was light and fun. Krista was supportive and offered lots of encouragement. The wine is a nice touch and I look forward to coming back again.

Yelp
We had a private group session at Pinot's Palette and it was great. Tracy was our instructor and she did an awesome job walking us through the painting, giving us easy to follow-up tips, went at a good pace where everyone was able to keep up, and played us some awesome 80s music along with making sure we had time to get drinks and paint. The painting we did was vibrant and though we thought would be super challenging wasn't too bad overall. I love the colors. The hardest part was the boat and the trees. Overall, I really like how my painting turned out. Everyone else also had a great time!

Karen A.

Yelp
My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary at Pinots Pallette. We had purchased a regular painting class but was put into a black light painting studio. As the music got louder and the instructor got so loud....I found myself just smearing the paint and our evening was ruined!!! I'll NEVER go back there. Horrible experience.
google avatar

Sarita S.

Yelp
This is my kinda bar! Nice open space, lots of fresh air, their house wine for $6 was better than some of the $10 glass of wine I have had at fancier places. The instructor was entertaining and talented, and a good teacher! The 2 hours flew by.
google avatar

Tina C.

Yelp
If you have never done a paint night, look no further! I have done a handful and this location was by far my favorite. We had Laura as our instructor and she was auhmazing! She made it sooooo easy to understand, very thorough, and patient. She took her time and everyone was pleased with their paintings. If you are looking to attend a paint night this is the place to be! Make sure you check out the painting you want to hang in your house, bc they will turn out wall worthy. Give it a try, you'll love it Also, they have a bartender so if you need that confidence booster !
google avatar

Vanessa G.

Yelp
Scheduled a black light painting with my two friends who were visiting. Had a really fun time painting and they had a lot of different classes and pictures to choose from on the website when you're scheduling. The black light added some fun to the class and made it interesting. Teacher was great and walked us through step by step while also leaving long breaks for us to work at our own pace. My only complaint is that there were two classes going on in adjacent rooms and there was always pretty loud music coming from one of the rooms so it made it hard to hear sometimes. Overall fun experience, price wasn't too bad, and everyone should be able to find a painting they like from the options available, which I found to be better than similar companies in the area.
google avatar

Regina P.

Yelp
We came here for a double date with my brother, my sister in law and my husband. We arrived early so we could pick great seats (and we got great ones)! We all ordered drinks and food before we started. Our teacher was AMAZING! She was so helpful with tips but also encouraged us to make our own paintings! We also cheers when a plane flew over, which was so fun! This place is a definitely must try!
google avatar

Moriah L.

Yelp
I've visited Pinot's twice and loved both experiences!! The classes start promptly so make sure you come on time! All of the instructors were so kind, they thoroughly explained each step. The instructors walk around and interact with the class throughout the session. They are also willing to answer any questions/help if needed(: the canvas, paint, and brushes are all provided. Personally, I really enjoyed the black light painting which was especially fun because of the atmosphere! There is a bar located in the studio where you can purchase drinks! If you do want to drink, I would recommend coming earlier to order because there isn't much free time during the painting session. Love this place and would definitely recommend(:
google avatar

Audrey L.

Yelp
I'm shocked I haven't left a review here considering I've been coming to Pinot's Palette for years! It's the perfect spot to celebrate any occasion like an anniversary, Mother's Day or a date night. The instructors are so friendly and helpful with the instruction for the project. They also offer large group bookings and private events. I feel like this would be such a fun work team building activity! I like to try to be artistic but my execution doesn't really ever turn out quite like I envision. Somehow every time I do a paint and sip class here at Pinot's Palette, it actually turns out resembling the instructors! I can't wait to do another paint and sip class here again soon!

Karina G.

Yelp
Relaxing, fun environment. Good for beginners or intermediate painters. You can grab a drink and share in a nice memory with friends & family. Reasonably priced.
google avatar

Alex S.

Yelp
I highly recommend Pinot's Palette! I haven't been to any other sip and paint classes, so I can't compare price or experience there, but Pinot's was a great time! I made reservations on their website about 2 weeks in advance. I'd definitely recommend looking at their class options a few weeks out, as some upcoming classes were already sold out. The location wasn't the easiest to find, as it is buried behind a couple hallways and Google Maps didn't direct us directly to the closest door. Arriving 15-20 minutes early made us feel less stressed as we hunted for the classroom. Once we arrived, we checked in, showed our 21+ IDs (mandatory for all indoor classes) and picked out seats. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of drinks at the bar. It wasn't a full-on bar, but they had multiple types of hard cider for those who prefer something other than wine and beer. All of the staff and instructors were friendly and welcoming, and the class is taught so both beginners and returning guests have a fun time. We met a couple of regulars who also highly recommend Pinot's Palette. The class does move quickly, quicker than I expected, but we get a lot done throughout the class. Those who aren't perfectionists will likely feel less pressured than others by the pacing. The class was estimated to take two hours but took around two and a half, so be prepared to stay longer than the registration suggests. We are also given a bathroom/drink/rest break about halfway through, which is helpful for an almost 3 hour long class and drinks sold. Also, wear clothes you don't mind getting paint on - possibly permanently! Overall, we had a great time and are happy with our paintings! Even though they don't look quite as good as the instructor's and sample paintings, we are impressed by the results made by non-artists.

Jessie S.

Yelp
Went for a work event and had such an amazing time! I highly recommend this as a group or single activity!!
google avatar

Brenn L.

Yelp
This place is so fun! My friends and I went after work and we had such a great time! I was nervous, because I cannot paint other than stick people. The theme was ocean and palm trees, which really made me nervous. The instructor gives step-by-step instructions, she made it very fun and they play good music in the background. I'm happy to say my painting came out pretty good, which I gave to my husband as our anniversary gift. LOL! He liked it a lot! I am definitely going back; oh and yes you can have a drink or two, they have a bar in the front. Good place to get together with your friends, family or spouse!

Yelp
We had so much fun at the black light paint class. The instructor Jeff was so funny and a great teacher. Loved his playlist too.

Yelp
Came here to attempt to impress a date without knowing what to expect. Turned out to be one of the best ideas I've ever had! From the onset, everyone was friendly and welcoming. Followed the 30 mins early recommendation and ended up being the first there but the class instructor, Jeff, was kind and gave us the rundown of what to expect. The bar was open and alcohol prices were way more fair than expected. Highly recommend just grabbing a bottle (they are way more affordable than at a restaurant). I am no painter but instructions were clear enough that I was able to create a painting that was worthy of at least instagram. My date on the other hand was an apparent pro and Jeff even showed off her art to the whole class. She was beaming. There was even a short break so paint could dry, bathroom breaks could be had, and wine/beer replenished. It was fun having that time to chill and get up as well as watch the other class going as their paintings came to life. Overall the experience was fantastic. It didn't feel like a class, and more like a bunch of friends hanging out. From staff to other customers, everyone was a joy to be around. Jeff had a fantastic playlist of music and even shared personal stories as he walked us through painting techniques. 10/10 hope to come again and will recommend to every one I know. Pro Tip: Go to a blacklight class. It was a nice touch to make this something different than the typical paint and sip sort of experience!

Sandi W.

Yelp
I took my daughter for her birthday (45). We had so much fun and had so many laughs, we're going again next month with our cousin. My daughter's painting looks like a professional artist did it. Mine looks like a 3rd grader did it. I don't care. It graces my wall and I love it.
google avatar

Addie M.

Yelp
Need an idea for date night or with your friend group?? You literally don't have to come here with only just girls! There's alcohol (for an additional fee), plus you can paint along with the instructor or whatever the Van Gogh in your heart desires. My boyfriend and I went for my birthday as part of a weekend getaway and we had so much fun. I forgot the name of our instructor but she really knew her crowd and made it such an enjoyable experience to remember. We will be returning soon (or try to visit other Pinot's Palette at home)!
google avatar

Bianca C.

Yelp
I love this place!!! I've been here at least 5 times and I've never encountered an employee who wasn't extremely kind and helpful. Online you can pick a painting you want to try, which will have a date and time set, and will say if it's an indoor or outdoor event. You can order drinks in either setting. The class is easy to follow and ranges from an hour and a half to I think 3 hours-depending on the painting.
google avatar

Elyse T.

Yelp
I love this art studio! My friend and I had the greatest time, learning to paint! I will definitely return. Please... Give it a try!
google avatar

Janay H.

Yelp
I enjoyed this experience. The instructor and the guy helping her were great. The instructions were clear and it didn't feel like we were being rushed. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because where my group was sitting we couldn't really see what the instructor was painting as she was painting so that made it kind of difficult but she did invite us to come closer to get a better look at what she was doing.
google avatar

Anna L.

Yelp
Gor a gift card for christmas . You say I've been there like four years ago and I had a blast. I can't wait to go and paint again.
google avatar

Jennifer N.

Yelp
Had a great time here to celebrate my birthday! They offer indoor and outdoor sessions (we opted for indoors). They space out all of the groups and you're only required to wear masks if you're not at your table. They also check your temperature and provide hand sanitizer before you sit down. One other thing about food and drink that wasn't clear on their website but I had to call. You CAN bring your own appetizers but now food. So like you couldn't bring in pizza or fried chicken but you could be cheese and crackers for example. You also can't bring in your own alcohol but they have a bar there you can order from. You can also order food from the next door restaurant at Solare and they deliver it to you. When ordering food and drinks, you never have to leave your table. You just scan QR code, place your order and they bring it to you.

Yelp
Great family fun! Due to circumstances we were unable to participate at the Indoor Studio. We asked to take the materials home with us since I had purchased 7 seats. The artist gave us basic directions, canvas's and paint colors. We went to Michaels on the way home and picked up a multipack of brushes. What we thought would have been a total bust, turned out to be a lot of fun at home and were able to take our time with the paintings! Thank you Pinot's Palette for your flexibility and allowing us to enjoy the painting experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Oh my god this is now a monthly date for my husband and I! The staff is so friendly and their painting class was easy to follow. I made a turtle!

Yelp
Had so much fun here with my family Family night is the best night This is great if u have older children best way to spend family night Location is amazing parking was ample Teachers was so helpful only reason I was able to paint Will definitely do it again
google avatar

Levi R.

Yelp
Great date night idea, my wife and I had a wonderful time painting a picture and our instructor was calm, reassuring, and patient with us. We won't hesitate to be back to improve our drawing skills!
google avatar

Yelp
Took a class here on Saturday and below are my thoughts: The Pros: 1. Well decorated space 2. Spaced-out seats (you are seated in groups of 2). TIP: Email them before class to let them know who you want to sit with if you didn't buy the tickets together. 3. They have both indoor & outdoor classes 4. Instructor was very friendly and helpful. They have the instructor using a microphone which helps to hear the instructions better. The Cons: 1. No A/C 2. Food was just okay 3. Difficult to get more paint than what they originally give you.

Yelp
OMG! So much fun!!! This is the class to look for when wanting a social event. The instructors were very kind and patient and the bartender was great in helping us pick out the best drink. The class is taught well and plenty of time to do your best Picasso work!!
