The 19 Best Happy Hours In SF - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Roman-style pizzas are why you're at this Pacific Heights spot. During happy hour, they serve a wide selection of personal-size pinsas, plus small plates like bruschetta and arancini, each for $9. They also have glasses of house white or red wine for, you guessed it, $9." - julia chen 1, lani conway, ricky rodriguez, patrick wong

Pinsa Rossa - Review - Fillmore - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"This Pacific Heights restaurant makes Roman-style pizzas with the utmost attention (the same with which we honor our weekly hair-washing schedule). The laser-focused pinsa scientists turn out oblong discs with puffy crusts that look dense, but actually snap and then deflate nicely when you bite into them. Go for the one with spicy salami draped across the top, or the prosciutto and arugula with a sweet balsamic drizzle. The shiny, red-and-black dining room includes a bar and some private-ish upstairs seating, but we like sitting downstairs by the big windows and watching Fillmore Street’s designer dogs trot by." - Julia Chen

I am in love with this place. Pinsa is so unique. I've never had it before. It's light but still filling. The crust is very crispy and a little bit chewy. The flavor profiles of the pizzas here are also very well crafted. My favorite is the burrata. With the touch of balsamic vinegar, it is amazing. This place might be my new go-to place for pizza. A highlight is also the Arancini. It was so perfectly crispy with a very cheesy inside. Fantastic. No comments.

Google
We had a fun time at Pinsa Rossa and we especially liked that there is a good variety of veggy and gluten free options. We had the fancy margarita pizza, the shishito peppers and the arancini and they were all super delicious.

Google
Delicious pizza and dessert. Loved the Pesto e patate pizza the best Busy but not an overly long wait (reservations recommended for large groups or if you have a strong preference to be inside or outside). They have a nice parklet with heating, they also have an upstairs area inside. Can be loud inside. Three pizzas was enough for three people with some extra slices, but could be finished if you're hungry. Brussel sprouts were okay, but might be good to add some of their Italian chili oil (they bring it out with the chili peppers). Dessert was also delicious, it's rich so, good to share.

Google
we ordered the crispy brussel sprouts, pepperoni and sausage pizza, and the peach summer special pizza. everything was just ok. the brussel sprouts were way too oily, we didn’t bother finishing them.

Google
Bad quality food. The pizza didn't taste like anything special to be raving about. They just have a lot of toppings. The little gem caesar salad, just look at the photo, the vegetable is wilt, not fresh, not crisp, and already has brown spots on them. The dressing tastes like a store bought Caesars salad dressing. It's not worth the price, not going back, highly not recommended.

Google
went here for a quick happy hour + bite when we were roaming around Fillmore! The ambiance is cute and the wines were yum!! loved the prosecco!! the vegan pizza is kind of bland (like needed hella seasoning lol + sauce maybe?) still a decent happy hour and would go again! hopefully can make the vegan options a bit better 4 months later: the vegan options here = awful lol. the mushroom one was super dry (i did get it without cheese). they had a vegan pinsa THAT THEY GOT RID OF (had it last time i was here 4 months ago). happy hour is $9 for the mini pinsas or wine or like some of their bar bites. the brussel sprouts were the star of the show lol. also slow service

Google
Great place with delicious pizza. We had the mushroom and added sausage and it was so good! I didn't love the skewer, was a bit over for me but maybe next time I'll ask for medium rare. The squash blossoms were phenomenal with a light fish and chips beer batter type of crunch. Will definitely come back!

Came here for dinner, seated quickly with great service. I really like the food here and the restaurant itself, it’s just the music that doesn’t match 😆 it’s a lot of rap / trap. I’ve been a few times, and I don’t think it matches the atmosphere…it’s hard to hear who you’re talking to sometimes. but the food is good lol.

Yelp
My group of 4 stopped by for dinner and ordered the crispy brussel sprouts, chicken parmigiana, summer crush pinsa, and vegan ortolana pinsa. We enjoyed that there was a vegan option! The brussel sprouts were so crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The creamy chili mayo made a perfect compliment to the salty Brussels. Highly recommend. Summer crush pinsa caught my eye on the menu and sounded like a unique pairing of peach, prosciutto, cheese, and hot honey. The flavor combo was very light and summery as you can imagine but personally maybe a little too light for me. Also the prosciutto was difficult to bite through and would slide off as I was trying ti bite it. Vegan ortolana pinsa is a personal go-to and I love the fresh veggies paired with red sauce. Again really appreciate this vegan option. Chicken Parmesan was good although nothing to write home about. Seems like the pinsas are the way to go at Pinsa Rossa

Yelp
Really good happy hour 4:30-5:30! They have small pizzas and antipasti for $9 each. I really liked the peach bruschetta and the pinsas! The crust is very light and crispy while also being chewy on the inside. The flavors of the bruschetta with the peaches, burrata, & hot honey were perfect! The space inside is cute and service was great as well. The food came out super fast too.

Yelp
The bf and I came here for a Friday dinner and were pleasantly surprised! We got here around 5:45pm and didn't need a reservation, but you would definitely need one for peak dinner time. It's not a huge space, a small upstairs and a tight downstairs seating area. The outdoor seating adds on a good amount of tables too, but I'd only want to sit out there in nice weather. Service was friendly and attentive, waters were always filled and our server came multiple times to check on us. We started with the brussels sprouts and the caesar salad, both of which caught us off guard with how good they were. The brussels sprouts were soooo charred and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, it was literally my ideal brussels sprout. It was seasoned so well and the spicy aioli it came with added a nice bite to it. The caesar salad was simple yet the high quality ingredients shone through. The lettuce was crisp and cold, the dressing was generous, and the bits of cheese and croutons added nice flavor and texture. We already decided we would come back after we had the apps! We split the veggie option of the potato and pesto pizza, which was interesting, but not my favorite. I didn't think the potato added anything to the pizza, honestly the texture and flavor threw me off. The pesto was alright, needed more lemon juice, garlic, and salt to bring out its flavor. I did like the texture of the crust, it had a great chew and airy texture. Their chili oil did improve the flavor of the pizza, so we did doctor it into something we enjoyed. I think if we ordered a pizza with better toppings, it would have been an easy 5 stars. I'll be back to check out the happy hour from 4:30-5:30pm and to try more pizzas out :)

Yelp
Cute little Italian restaurant on Fillmore. Recommend going in for Happy Hour (ends at 5:30 pm!) The Arancini and pizza on the happy hour menu is good to share for 2 people. Staff is attentive and friendly. Someone came in multiple times to fill our water glasses. No wait time for us but we came in early ! Street parking available

Yelp
Came here for happy hour and it was lovely! The inside is so cute and sitting by the window was so much fun. Their personal sized pizzas are a great price and a perfect size! The Brussels sprouts were to die for! Cooked to perfection. We also had the potato crochettas which were good but had an interesting texture. Would not recommend if you're not really a texture person. The staff was also super nice, friendly, and very attentive. Will 100% be coming back here.
google avatar

Yelp
Definitely one of my favorite pizza places in the bay. Perfectly baked, fluffy chewy dough(innovative mixed with rice, and high in protein yeah). Tasty sauce, fresh well blacked toppings. The Brussels sprouts were crispy and crunchy. Fast and friend service. The interior is spacious with great lightenings and chic design. Would love to comeback and recommend others to give it a try if you haven't already. With the open weekdays during lunch hours though.

Yelp
Our neighborhood spot when we are wanting to get in and out fast! Fresh offerings, fast and friendly service. I love the squash blossoms, the way the pinsa/pizzas taste and the wine offerings. Always full without feeling bloated, why because: "Rooted in the 1600-year-old art of Roman pinsa-making, our mission is to craft food that's as nourishing as it is delicious. Each hand-pressed, oval-shaped pinsa is a celebration of quality--made with a signature 72-hour fermented dough that's a blend of quality, non -GMO premium soy, rice and wheat flours, resulting in a lighter, low in fat, easier to digest, healthier, and uniquely satisfying experience."

Yelp
Pinsa Rossa was so good! We came here on a whim on a weekend night and it was such a good choice. There's a plethora of Italian restaurants nearby, but I have to say that this place definitely stands out. Food: We ended up getting the truffle cheeks pizza, fancy margherita, and crispy Brussels sprouts. They were all so good, so flavorful, and had unique flavors. The crispy Brussels sprouts really shocked me considering I didn't realize that it was going to be that flavorful. I would 100% come again just for the Brussels sprouts. The truffle cheeks obviously had a strong taste of truffle, and it got too much for me at times. But because we had the marg pizza, the contrast of flavors and the freshness of the margherita to the richness of the truffle cheeks made for a good combo. Service: very nice servers. The restaurant is a bit small so it's a little easier to flag someone down. It did take a while for them to give us the check though. They also have a happy hour/lunch special which makes it a few dollars cheaper, so I'll forsure have to check it out then. Highly recommend! 4.7/5.

Yelp
An Italian restaurant with amazing vegan and gluten-free options! I was thrilled to come here and see a menu item with the word "vegan" in it, and the pizza did not disappoint! I loved how colorful and flavorful my Vegan Ortolana Pinsa Rossa was, and the portion was very generous. The servers were also nice, and the aesthetic of the restaurant is beautiful (including decor of upside down wine glasses). Food: 10/10 Service: 9/10 Ambience: 9/10 Vegan-friendly: 9/10

Yelp
Stopped by Pinsa Rossa for happy hour and I was so impressed! They offer a great selection of $9 apps and pinsas. We got the chicken parm and mushroom pinsa both of which were good portion sizes and very flavorful. The ambiance is also very cozy and service was quick and efficient. Definitely will return to try their full menu!

Yelp
spring break yompz!! came here to see if the hype was valid & the restaurant was soo adorable and cozy. emily, our server/host, was extremely kind & helpful! the happy hour is always a plus, i told her to surprise me with any 2 dishes, and she quickly ordered us the meatball dish & the small pizza dish. not sure what it's called bc the happy hour menu is different, but i took pictures! we went during a weekday (thursday) & was no wait at all for us. overrall, rly yummy & would come back again to try their full menu/other dishes!

Yelp
Came here for the first time on a busy Friday so we had prior reservations. My friends and u did a pizza tour around SF to try new spots and this was my favorite. I have been back a numerous times already now and even chose it as my birthday dinner this year. It's a very cozy and warm spot to enjoy with loved ones and friends, but do make a reservation if going on a busy weekend.

Yelp
I'm a Pinsa Rossa faithful - I live in the neighborhood and have probably been 5 or 6 times and this spot never disappoints, whether I've come with just one friend or a bigger group. I've never needed reservations (there's always a couple tables open, though it's never super empty either - goldilocks ratio?) which is such a godsend, and the pizzas are always have such a nice crispy crust while maintaining good doughiness and sauciness. My favorite is the prosciutto burrata red sauce pizza -- sooo good and flavorful and that drizzle of balsamic is the cherry on top. Also like the funghi pizzas (both the white and red sauce ones) a lot. The appetizer are ok but nothing to write home about. The ambiance is pretty chill and not stuffy (never gotten any weird looks for taking my tennis bag here). I honestly like the pizza more than the nextdoor Pizzeria Delfina (which is fine) and I actually had no idea it was gluten-free until I looked it up today since I don't personally have any dietary restrictions -- that's even more impressive. They also have pretty fast service so I appreciate that as a busy lady :)

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE pinsa Rossa. Probably one of my favorite restaurants in SF, definitely my favorite Italian place and it has such a charming and subtle atmosphere--perfect for date night! They always seat me quickly and their staff is extremely attentive. I love that they have vegan cheese options for me and the funghi pizza with vegan cheese is delectable. Their spritz drink as well is strong and delicious when paired with the little gem salad. I come back here at least once a month.

Yelp
Came here on the strong recommendations of an SF Foodie, and I can see why! Pinsa are not really flatbreads, not really pizzas, but somehow combines the best of both worlds into a very fluffy and delicious bite! Our party of 8 called in a reservation beforehand and were warmly greeted and seated as soon as we arrived. For 8, we ordered three appetizers (truffle fries, Brussels sprouts, and la porchetta) in addition to four Pinsas (truffle y cheeks, heavenly mushroom, spicy Calabrian, and summer crush) and one lasagna. All of them were amazing and perfectly portioned to get one bite/person. I could definitely see Pinsa being both a great place to host a larger gathering and also one for an intimate date night! Worth a visit for sure!
google avatar

Yelp
In our experience service was very attentive. The restaurant is small, a tight space, and can be noisy depending on how loud the people around you are. The food is average. It lacks deep depth of flavor and a medley of flavors that blend well in a flavor profile. The interior of the pinsas are very hollow, I wished there was more bread on the inside. For the appetizer and pinsas we selected, I wouldn't bother coming again. Perhaps they have other flavored pinsas we would have preferred in flavor, but I'm skeptical I would have ranked other flavors much higher.

Yelp
A nice spot on Fillmore! We reserved a table for two at 12 PM and were the first customers of the day. We were greeted by welcoming staff. We were here during the heat wave, so the inside was quite hot. Unfortunately, the AC wasn't turned on until the end of our visit, which was a little disappointing as we were uncomfortable in the heat. Here is our order: Little Gem Caesar: Very standard. Lobster Ravioli: The portion is small but delicious! Prosciutto & Stracciatella Pinsa: So airy! It didn't leave that greasy, heavy feeling, but it was still filling. The flavors were in perfect harmony. Overall, we enjoyed our experience. The dishes were easy to share, and we even had a few pieces of pinsa left to take home.
google avatar

Helena G.

Yelp
Came for a late lunch saturday morning, great for a cozy atmosphere + quick service. Got the recommended Prosciutto & Stracciatella, the dough is super pillowy/chewy. with the prosciutto, arugula/greens, burrata toppings the pizza tasted super fresh, it had a nice flavor but nothing terribly mindblowing. can ask for chili flakes + calabrian chili oil to be brought to the table!
google avatar

Yelp
I LOVE this place. Service is always phenomenal and the team is so friendly and attentive. It's my favorite place to spend a warm SF afternoon getting to enjoy their happy hour deal and outdoor seating. The bruschetta is always great, fresh, and light and perfect pairing to their wine. The Porchetta sandwich here is one of my favorite meals in all of San Francisco. So juicy and decadent, yet paired with amazing herbs and greens to cut through. The bread must be pinsa dough too because it's so light, crispy, and well seasoned. A must try if you're ever on Fillmore!

Yelp
I had been hearing a lot about this restaurant and was so excited to try it. We went over at around 5:45 pm on a Saturday and we were able to get an indoor seat for our party of 2. We checked their reservations online but it didn't seem like it was a need even during their most busy times. One of the most notable things was how welcoming and kind the staff were. They were filling our waters, making small talk and were so happy that it was our first time at the restaurant. We also enjoyed that our dishes came out one by one after we ordered, very hot and fresh. Broccolini - This was an elevated broccolini. The star was the sauce with the flavorful garlic and pesto topped, meshed well with the vegetables themselves which were soft inside, a light bite to the outside and topped with crunchy breadcrumbs. Lobster Ravioli - This dish only came with four pieces of ravioli but it was tasty. The raviolis had a light lobster flavor and some bits but mostly a cheesy flavor from the ricotta, the melted layer of mozzarella on top and the creamy pink sauce which was a little sweet and peppery. Portofino - We definitely came to try their unique dough which is lower in gluten, lighter, crispier and easier to digest than traditional doughs. It was indeed very light, airy and easy to enjoy. The pinsa was savory from the prosciutto, cheesy from the mozzarella and gorgonzola and sweet from the fig jam and punchy from the balsamic glaze. It was a balance of different textures, flavor profiles and perfect for us to share. We were able to share everything and none of the dishes felt heavy or greasy to us. Overall, we had the best experience dining here from the service to unique dishes and food quality.

Yelp
Went for Sunday night dinner and had the Fancy Margherita Pizza -so good! Trust me, add the extra burrata--you won't regret it. The place is small and cozy, with super attentive staff. It's not the spot for a sexy date night, but it's perfect for a relaxed dinner with family or friends. My friend and I shared the Caesar salad and pizza, both delicious, and the wine selection was fabulous. Definitely a great go-to!
google avatar

Jenny T.

Yelp
Pinsa is different from pizza. They use a rice flour instead of wheat flour, which gives it a bouncy texture to die for. There's not many places that serves this type of food, so, I knew i had to buy a pie when I walked by. *Love it*
google avatar

Jasmine N.

Yelp
What a gem on Fillmore! I had a reservation for two people, and we were welcomed and seated quickly upon arrival. We got the Prosciutto & Stracciatella pinsa and the Spicy Calabrian - excellent choices! I love the prosciutto and arugula/greens on the pizza and we were stuffed after eating both. Should we have saved a few sliced to-go? Yes. Was it impossible to NOT eat all of it in one sitting? Also yes! Can't wait to come back to try all of the pinsas :))
google avatar

Miranda C.

Yelp
We found out that pinsa differs from traditional pizza as it consists of a blend soy, wheat and rice flours. This made the dough lighter and crispier than traditional pizza. The Margherita Pinsa really highlighted the crispy crust with the warm soft center. It was also perfectly cheesy and the tomato and basil just tied the whole pinsa together. We also got the Prosciutto & Stracciatella Pinsa and the coldness of the prosciutto, burrata, and arugula did make the crust a bit harder in texture than the crispy Margherita Pinsa. It still had great flavor though. The service was good. The waiters were very attentive about refilling our waters. We were seated outside and they checked on us a lot. It was a bit chilly but they had heaters above each table.
google avatar

Roxanna R.

Yelp
The truffle cheeks pinsa was by far my favorite! Pinsa rossa always has delicious pinsa and their flatbreads are fluffy and fresh.
google avatar

Kat Z.

Yelp
The place was super cute! They have two stories. This is a white pizza with truffles & prosciutto but I forgot the name. It was huge! It lasted me two meals. We got the Caesar salad as well which had each leaf coated (chefs kisses). The Brussels were also crispy and flavorful. The lasagna was fairly priced and perfect for one. My friend said it was yummy and the pasta aired on the thicker size, which we enjoyed.
google avatar

Thien H.

Yelp
I've always had a good experience here. It's a small place so if you're coming here on a Fri-Sun then I would plan to arrive right when then open or shortly thereafter. Otherwise make reservations for a weekend night if you don't want them to rush you. I like the freshly baked pinsas that are airy, soft inside, yet crunchy. Since we dined with friends this time, we ordered the broccolini, tartare, and French fries and they were all well executed. If you're just dining with two people, I would get one pinsa rossa and one pinsa bianca to share for variety. The kitchen area where they make the pinsas is open for viewing and they use fresh dough and prepare the pinsas to order. The manager (?) guy has always been nice. I appreciated that he checked in with us and asked if there was anything we needed. The level of friendliness from the servers varies tbh.
google avatar

Jim D.

Yelp
It's one of those places that I'd rather keep secret, but I'm a loudmouth and gotta tell you about this place. It's really good. Pinsa is like the size of a deflated football (Tom Brady loves it) and has a crispy, yet fluffy, texture. I think it's rice flour. It's pushed instead of stretched. It's good stuff.
google avatar

Vanessa D.

Yelp
Great little spot on the main Fillmore shopping drag - light fluffy oblong 'pizza' (much lighter than a reg. Pizza dough) service was fine, it was busy on the main floor so we were seated upstairs and as the only party up there felt a tiny bit out out of sight / mind - I'm sure would be different if more than one up there. I would definitely go again if shopping in the area as a nice place to grab a bite and a nice glass of wine or beer.

Avi R.

Yelp
Sat outside and had our pinsas and they were really good and really flavorful. Good sized for the price as well. Service was good and everyone was very friendly. We preferred to sit outdoors for the ambience but the restaurant inside is also really nice.
google avatar

Karlee J.

Yelp
This is a great location on Fillmore and the pinsas were all delicious. The service was quick and they have ample seating (some upstairs, main floor, and outside)! I loved my porchetta seasonal pinsa! It was super flavorful. We also got Brussels and fries for the appetizer. They were delicious. Now my reason for 3/5 stars, they don't have high chairs. None for the entire restaurant. Not family friendly, which is so disappointing!! I wrangled my baby for our entire dinner and saw another family doing the same. It makes me discouraged to come back or recommend it to friends.
google avatar

Anna C.

Yelp
A lovely neighborhood gem. My friends been raving about pinsa rossa, so naturally had to come try it. The drinks were standard, the food was pretty decent. We ordered a white sauce pizza and the red sauce pepperoni pizza and the Lasagna. Everything came out pretty quick and the service was decent. I sat at the counter bar since we did a walk in with no reservations. Restaurant was pretty busy on a Friday night. Luckily we came early and snagged a seat. All in all I'd come back to the maybe their sandwiches and other pizza.
google avatar

Jessica T.

Yelp
I went solo on a day night and was seated right away by the hostess at the bar. The atmosphere is cozy and stylish. I got the spicy calabrian, it was VERY YUMMY with a light and crunchy crust and flavorful pepperoni on top. What really stood out to me was the service. Despite having a full house and being a solo party, the service was impeccable and attentive. I will deff be returning and suggest this for a date night, solo trip, or even happy hour since they have $9 specials!
google avatar

Yelp
Love love pinsa rossa! The restaurant is really cute, on an amazing location (fillmore), service was nice and quick, and pizzas were delicious. I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Unique and creative options. Decent price. Great location. Good service. Food came on time. All of us enjoyed the food. The pizza dough was well crafted. It stuck the right balance of taste, greasiness and healthiness. This is our second visit. We find the same consistent quality

Yelp
Whenever I'm in Pac Heights, I've walked past this restaurant and been intrigued and finally tried it! We had a reservation and we were seated relatively quickly, at such a great table -- there is a top loft area overlooking the main floor of the restaurant where we had a view of the kitchen at a corner table, perfect ambiance for a date night. Upon looking at the menu, there were so many items we wanted to try but ultimately we got an arugula salad with prosciutto (yummy and light), carbonara pinsa (rich, creamy and the guanciale was so good), and the spicy salami pinsa (good but definitely had a bit of a kick). The service was also good and relatively quick. Overall had a great experience and I would definitely come back to this hidden gem of Pac Heights!
google avatar

Madison M.

Yelp
Came for a late Sunday night dinner. Inside has nice, warm, low lighting. Small tables. Service was quick. The food was good - good pizza crust- sauce was disproportionately hot compared to the rest of the pizza. Bruschetta used heirloom tomatoes so it was more flavorful than the average - comes with 3 pieces. Proportion wise for two people we had enough but ordered the bruschetta after everything else because we weren't quite full.

Kate E.

Yelp
Wow!! I stumbled across Pinsa and what an amazing experience! The pasta was fresh, rich, creamy, and just a blend of unique flavors. You could definitely tell the quality of the ingredients. The pear and Gorgonzola cheese pasta dish was just the right amount of sweet and savory. The restaurant atmosphere is so chic, and the upstairs loft is very fun to look out to the whole restaurant. Our server was lovely and sat us right away even though we didn't have a reservation. He provided great recommendations for the menu, and checked in on us frequently. I will definitely be coming back and I hope to try the happy hour every day!
google avatar

Paige G.

Yelp
A cute and nice ambiance, and while the food was good, it did not stand out to me as amazing. I did not try their pinsa, so I would like to go back and try one of these and try out their happy hour too! For some context, I ordered their pesto pasta.
google avatar

Karen N.

Yelp
Had a great dinner here tonight. Wanted to start with the squash blossoms but they were not available, so we had the meatballs and the burrata and tomato salad. Both were good once we got some salt for the tomatoes. Then we all had to try the pinsas. The Margherita was delicious. We also tried the pesto with yellow tomatoes and anchovy. We had some nice wine too. The music was absolutely horrendous and it was super cold in there, but otherwise it was a really nice dinner. We would love to come back when it's nicer weather and sit outside.

Yelp
Pinsa Rossa is a lively spot on a busy street, and we went on a Friday night. There was a bit of a wait, but we had made a reservation on Resy (plenty of slots were available throughout the day). The drink selection was excellent, and I opted for the Hugo spritz--a wonderfully refreshing choice. We ordered the arancini, broccolini, margherita pinsa romana, and ravioli with pomodoro. The dishes had classic, fresh flavors, and I especially loved the saffron risotto in the arancini and the confit garlic on the broccolini. Everything came out at a perfect pace, making the dining experience feel smooth and relaxed. That said, I would've liked a bit more depth in the flavor of a few dishes, but overall, the food was great, especially for the price. If you like a little heat, make sure to ask for chili flakes and oil!
google avatar

Diana L.

Yelp
Very small but beautiful set up and decor! Service was great, they were quick and kind. The food was delicious! The antipasti were so good: Brussel sprout is THE BEST! Broccolini was also yummy with a pesto and cheese topper! The lobster ravioli was ok but the tomato bisque like base was really good! Baked cacio e pepe sauce was the best! I'm not big on gnocchi but I think if we got it with penne or fettuccine it would've been the best! Pizzas were amazing! The prosciutto & stracciatella was my fav! We dipped the pizza into the cacio e pepe and it was amazing! The fungi e salsiccia was a fav too. Everything we ordered we had zero complaints about. Must try!

Yelp
Came here to catch up with a friend, she said this was one of her fave spots and I can see why! Love that they specialize in pinsas which use a lighter dough, almost like a flatbread. + We split the carbonara and Amatriciana, both had crispy guanciale, almost looked like bacon but thinner, I liked the texture, not too strong of a flavor. Never had gunciale like this before. + carbonara was bit messy but good, loved the red sauce amatriciana + cute ambiance, great location on Fillmore + good service Would recommend and try again!

Yelp
Beautiful ambience, it's more of a candle lit small restaurant. I came in for their happy hour (which ends around 7:30 every day) and ordered the bruschetta and mushroom pizza. The pizza is light and airy and doesn't feel to heavy when you eat it like traditional American pizza. The cheese was melted perfectly, only complaint is I would've loved more mushrooms on it.

Yelp
10 stars for the happy hour wow! They have an entire menu where each item is $9 and it's a great way to try out many of their popular apps and pizzas. The personal pizza is actually the perfect amount of food for one person but we also tried the broccolini, the Brussels sprouts, the Cesar salad and the gnocchi. Let me tell you something... did not disappoint. The gnocchi were creamy and delicious and very tender, not dry! The veggies were all crisp and fresh and I loved how garlicky the broccolini was. We liked everything so much we came back the very next night because we were still craving more pizza.

Yelp
I used to walk by Pinsa Rossa every day and kept telling myself that the happy hour sounded great. Happy Hour is from 4:30 - 6:00. I finally stopped by on a Wednesday around 5:00 and we didn't have to wait to get seated. I tried the Pinsa Spicy Salami Happy Hour Pizza. It was a nice size for a single person, and the crust was divine. Apparently, it is Roman-style pizza, which means they use rice and flour dough that makes the pizza fluffy and crispy. It sounds like a Detroit, but it is much lighter than a Detroit. I loved the spice on the pizza, and you could tell they used fresh ingredients. My partner is gluten-free and had a Margirita on gluten-free crust. She said it was great. We both had a glass of House red wine, and it hit the spot. The Happy Hour Pizzas are $9 each, and the wine is also $9, which are great prices in the Bay. Definitely worth checking out!

Yelp
Came for the happy hour special: $9 pizza and $9 house wine! The pizza was extremely light, analogous to a crispy donut but without the stretchy inside. The service was spectacular, but unfortunately the dough lacked in density but if that's your thing, this is the place for you!!

Yelp
I'm already plotting when to come back! Pinsa Rossa is a new pizza shop on the block featuring Roman style pizza. What makes their pizza or "pinsa" different is that they use a rice, flour dough, which makes the pizza fluffy yet also crispy. I really enjoyed eating this and don't find it as heavy as traditional pizza dough. I came for happy hour where is $9 from 4:30 to 6 PM. I ordered the margarita pizza with broccolini and a glass of white wine. I also got the carbonara pizza regular size on the side. I very much enjoyed each bite of the pizzas and loved the simplicity and quality of the margarita pizza. The carbonara was amazing... I had to order it because I saw it on the website, and it did not disappoint! The waiters are very nice and always came to check up on us. The interior is also super cute with plenty of bar seating, and an upstairs area as well.
