I've heard of Pip's from enticing posts on social media... and they worked on me. I love both chai and donuts, so a place that specializes in both sounded exciting. Not being from Portland, I had to wait for a visit to make it here. Well, I finally made it!
Luckily, I got there about 30 minutes before closing time (which was 4pm). Even with my arrival late in the day, the person taking my order was so kind and we had a nice little chat.
The atmosphere is so cute. It's spacious, quite pink, and well lit with the big windows along the walls that you can sit at.
I ordered the sticky rice pu'er iced tea because I have never seen that on a menu before and I love unique tea drinks. My husband got the cold brew. Both drinks were nice... not as stand out memorable as I hoped, but worth trying. I think I would've loved the tea if it was a bit stronger.
Our order of donuts were raw honey & sea salt, and coconut custard (seasonal). Both were delicious!
Later in our trip, we went to the other Pip's location on Fremont, and it just didn't have as nice of an atmosphere- but the things we ordered were still delicious: candied bacon maple (so good), the Reggie Lee, and had to get the raw honey & sea salt again since it was so simple but so good from last time.
Also got the Salted Caramel Cold Brew (sweet but amazing), the Heart of Gold chai (nice coconut flavor), and King and I chai.
Prices seem to have gone up since I checked their online menu before going, but this is still worth a visit whenever I'm back in Portland!
