The Sandy Jug Tavern Opens Soon in a Storied Roseway Building | Eater Portland

"Once a long-running strip club that is now defunct, Pirate’s Cove is acknowledged in the new Sandy Jug Tavern as a playful piece of neighborhood history: the owners converted a former changing area into a sitting room that pays homage to Pirate’s Cove by styling it as a “gaudy French boudoir” with a vanity and a chandelier, offering a cheeky wink to the site’s past even as they say they’ve never run a strip club themselves." - Janey Wong

Nice, clean park. There's a fence around the spray park portion so parents can sit without worrying their small child will run off. Free, which is always guest! A little small but otherwise it was awesome. I'll bring my daughter back again!

Love this new playground. No swings but plenty of slides and playing areas.

No pictures but this place is a basic playground with access to a mile long sea wall thing that has a walking path, black top. It's great except when hot. I bring my dogs down there. Great beach access. Real bathrooms and portable toilets. Parking is ample. Word of warning, listen to the parking rules. Don't park past the times listed or else you could get locked in. Seriously, they are strict about rules here. Video surveillance is on 24/7. The water park is closed but when it's open, it's packed and fun. Basketball courts, places to picnic, ball field. It's great for younger kids and outdoorsy types.

Pirate's Cove is the perfect playground for your kids! Not only are the two playgrounds phenomenal, ranging from ages 2-15, the free splash park is the real win here. It has come in handy during the hot summer days. I recommend this park to anyone who wants a fun day with their kids.

My daughter loves this playground. It's enclosed and she can run around to different jungle gyms. They have 3 different areas for 3 different she groups so there is something for everyone.
