Pirelli Hangar Bicocca is a vast contemporary art haven in Milan, featuring monumental installations and engaging exhibitions in a tranquil, industrial setting.
"Site-Specific Art Located in a former rail services warehouse, Hangar Bicocca is a contemporary art space for site-specific projects funded by tire giant Pirelli. The space is more like a contemporary art concept that extends from the boards of its brick structure. The art gallery offers bicycle tours of the Bicocca area, as part of the "Bicocca Project," a neighborhood reclamation project intent on showcasing the former industrial zone as vibrant neighborhood and equally vibrant arts scene."
"A former industrial plant covering more than 161,000 square feet, the non-profit Pirelli Hangar Bicocca now functions as one of Europe’s largest spaces for site-specific contemporary art."
Free admission, but tickets must be booked online. Located next to the mall, this art exhibition is a hidden gem that's definitely worth a visit!!

This gallery was so impressive and amazing! It is so big, almost overwhelming. They have huge art installations and yet it still feels spacious and calm. By far one of the best and most beautiful galleries I ever got to visit!

This is an absolute must visit if you like contemporary art. The place is very big. The exhibition of Anselm Kiefer is impressive. Huge scale artworks. Pieces that are equivalent of 6 stories high. That immensely big the place is.
The other exhibition halls are also huge. Displaying monumental works.
The exhibitions are properly curated. And to think the entrance is completely free.
Thank to whoever funds projects like this.
Art should be accessible for everyone.

Stunning... what a space !!!!! the appreciation of art is personal but the appreciation of a space will give us all a wow. I would have gone just for the site but the art was also very engaging,
ultra modern in form a little physically disorienting.
A little off the beaten track and very quiet compared to Milan centre. That was part of the appeal , some quiet time .
